Absolutely brilliant, delicious ice cream

We got ice cream from this place three times during our stay in Amsterdam. It was filled with locals and on more than one occasion, they told us this was the best ice cream in the city. We believed it. Every flavor we sampled was delicious, but the pistachio ice cream was exceptional. The best we've had outside of Italy.

The staff and ice cream were super good but the working environment created by the aggressive manager made me feel really awkward sitting there

Lovely ice cream but expect a 20mins queue. Vegan (non dairy ice cream) were on the left hand side & dairy on the right. I had oreo & mango which were both delicious. My wife had pistachio which she didn't particularly like and neither did I but the Hazelnut was better. €4.70 for 2 scoops each. Tax included, same price for cone & cup.

This must be the most ok ice cream place in Amsterdam (almost 3 stars). It's very distant to the ones I've had and would call the best.

We came here two nights in a row and it was amazing! To ease your ice cream stress, let me recommend the best ones :) The pistachio one is absolutely amazing. The cheesecake one is amazing. If you like coffee, the mocha one is wonderful, and I loved its creamy texture. There's also the white chocolate pistachio one, which is also very good. I didn't find the dark chocolate one to be very good; I've had better ones. The strawberry one isn't great, but my son orders it every time, so there's nothing to be done about it :) In short, it's definitely worth the wait; try it. The cones were so fresh, so it gets an extra plus from me 👌🏻

Delicious ice cream and friendly staff make this place a winner in my book. I’ve had several flavors and liked the all. My partner appreciates the non/ dairy options. It’s located on a nice street with several other appealing places.

A huge selection of vegan flavors, and all the ones I tried were delicious and creamy. I especially recommend the vegan pistachio ice cream! And the price is right, too, at €4.70 for two scoops. I'll be back!

Overpriced ice cream! Flavors purchased: vanilla, mango, hazelnut, pistachio, American cookie For these five flavors, the predominant taste is milk and sugar +++ On the other hand, the staff is pleasant!

Unfortunately the service was a bit slow and the opening times are not mentioned anywhere (although it is mentioned in google maps, it varies a bit). The ice cream was served a bit soft (it was not cooled sufficiently) and the flavours that are mentioned on the website are not all available in the store. Finally, I would have preferred that the vegan flavours are also available as non-vegan (dairy) because the vegan milk tastes bad in my opinion and all the flavours I wanted were unfortunately only available within the vegan selection. Also it would be a good idea to hand out one napkin or have a napkin dispenser/tray available on the counter (I didn't see any). Rest is fine.

Such delicious ice cream and such great flavors, especially the fruit ice cream, which is like a real sorbet. We were lucky and the line wasn't too long. The espresso was delicious!

If you like good ice cream, you'll find it at Monte Pelmo. My daughter and I discovered it by chance in August 2024 and have been thrilled ever since because they have truly excellent ice cream.

The best ice cream in Amsterdam. It's a small shop where there's usually a line, but it's worth it. The ice creams are reasonably priced for the quality. I recommend the white chocolate with pistachio and the yogurt. The cone-shaped wafers are delicious.

Very tasty, cozy because people in the queue easily chat with each other. Beautiful location in the Jordaan.

I got the Stracciatella (after reading the reviews) and Chocolate with Chocolate Chip. I would get the chocolate w/ chocolate chip next time I come back. Was perfection and not too sweet!

This is up there with the best gelato I've had anywhere. The cones were excellent and obviously fresh; of course the waffle cones are good in Holland, but these were especially good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The proprietor obviously takes pride in making such excellent ice cream and informed us that the blue ice cream is made specially with spirulina to make it healthier (and blue). I admit I stole a taste from my daughter's - just perfect. If I'm back in Amsterdam again, I know where I'll be going. Even their dog is sweet and begs so politely, that he almost managed to get something from me.

One of my flavours out of three was slightly mixed up due to miscommunication but overall the options flavours were plentiful and the melon gelato was very sweet and flavourful along with the dark chocolate ice cream.

Great variety of vegan options. But the taste is okay, we have better ice creams in Brazil

I was not impressed and don't understand the hype about this place. Maybe it's because there aren't many ice cream parlors in Amsterdam.

Totally worth the walk! Monte Pelmo is a hidden gem about 15 minutes from the city center and the walk is actually a bonus! You’ll pass cool shops and see more of the city. The ice cream is amazing. I love the salted caramel creamy, rich, and way better than others I’ve tried. Not expensive either. Definitely a must-try in Amsterdam!

If you want good ice cream in Amsterdam, this is the place. One of the best in the city. And in the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood.

The sorbets are the best, dark chocolate, lime/lemon, mango.

Great icecream: left vegan/ right milkmade icecream ( my favorite : milkmade chocolate icecream with bits in it with whipped cream, ofcourse!)

The service was great, it offers a high quality ice cream with economical price. Besides,the owner is very kind and helped us repair our bike during our trip. It is definetely a must-see when visiting the city!

We came to the gelato shop twice in the evening in advance before closing. The worker closed the queue just before us, and was rude and super mean. One time we saw people coming out with ice from there, and when we got there they rejected to sell us ice cream. This is just ridiculous. We understand that there might be too many customers , so we can’t, actually , be served. But it never got explained to us. And this is not a reason to be rude to your customers. The owner needs to change his attitude towards customers who bring money to his business.

Workers were super nice, and the gelato was not bad. The problem was - what I’m assuming to be - the owner, that came and started being a beetch to the workers complaining about the queue outside. Get yo ass behind the counter if it’s too busy, instead of talking to your employees like they are slaves.

Here is the old history local ice cream place. Every time is long line of the Dutch neighbors. Not so much tourists. I ate a vanilla is good sweet I order everytime . and one scoop is very big. Cheers!

Loved the cookie dough topping and the dark chocolate ice cream but the pistachio flavor was too salty and weird taste… However the staff is super kind and I loved the fact that they have kid’s size ice cream that everyone can order!

Probably the best Gelato in de Jordaan. They got plenty of (unique) flavours, both taste and texture wise the gelato is really good. The portion size is very fair and the service is friendly. What more can I ask, definitely check them out!

During a recent visit to the Netherlands, I had the pleasure of discovering “Monte Pelmo”, an ice cream shop in Amsterdam that offers a particularly noteworthy gelato experience. Upon entering, one is presented with a considerable selection, featuring approximately 30 different flavours of gelato. I specifically chose the Pistachio and Hazelnut flavours. Both proved to be outstanding. The intensity of the flavour in each was remarkable; the hazelnut tasted genuinely rich and nutty, while the pistachio delivered a deep, authentic taste of the nut. The location of Monte Pelmo is also a significant advantage. It is conveniently situated near several prominent Amsterdam landmarks, including the Anne Frank House, the Amsterdam Tulip Museum, and the Amsterdam Cheese Museum. The surrounding area is also very pleasant, featuring various other eateries and picturesque canals, making it a lovely neighbourhood to explore on foot. Good pricing and delicious taste! My only concern is that when I asked for a different cone, they said they had to give less ice cream because it wouldn’t fit (even if it clearly could)..

I choose strawberry and mango, it was good. But my boyfriend took chocolate and pistachio and the taste was not aligned to our standard . It’s hard to fail making this two Flavours! Sorry but it’s unacceptable

Ice cream parlor with artisanal ice cream and coffee. Lots of ice cream flavors. Ice cream is nice and creamy and the ingredients are well balanced. Scoops are big, the taste is decent and the price is high. Young staff is friendly. Unfortunately no terrace, but two benches against the facade.

So helpful with us choosing flavours - would go here again if it wasn’t our last day visiting.

Last night, 5 minutes before closing time, I quickly got an ice cream here with my friend. Super friendly staff, despite the late time. I had caramel sea salt and café del nonno (espresso), especially the caramel sea salt was so delicious. Glad we went!

We went here twice and it’s just amazing. The ladies are very friendly, even tho it is probably hectic, since there are a lot of people coming at once. They have about 10 vegan flavours I believe. The ice cream itself was dellicious.
