Had to wait a long time before the order was taken and the friendliness isn't anything to write home about either. A small point for improvement. But the food was delicious.

The half free-range chicken was super tasty and flavorful. My favorite!

I was early, so I started on the terrace at the front of the road, where I was surrounded by regulars in no time. A real party, haha. Nice people. And a lovely spot to relax! Afterwards, I took a seat inside with a friend for dinner. Teun served me kindly. To start, we enjoyed the Labneh together, which was really more than enough. This was followed by the Moos Double Cheeseburger (with bacon at 3.50) and the Heeg as the fish of the day. Fine dishes, nicely presented. Actually quite above expectations, even. Nice wines, relaxed ambiance. Reason enough for a reunion as far as we are concerned. Thanks for this Tuesday!

We enjoyed lunch at Moos. The croque monsieur is made with fresh bread, is large, and tastes fantastic! The service by the young lady is excellent and she is very relaxed, making the atmosphere great.

Had a delicious steak tartare. Price for two large steak tartare and two beers: around €55.

Super nice terrace with enough shade options. Service is very friendly. The fried chicken was super nice, but it was unclear which mayonaise it was served with: wasabi or garlic mayonaise. Both not available but spicy mayonnaise was. A bit confused we decided to have regular mayo instead… The vega bitterballen were ok-ish: hard to explain why they are not really meeting the bitterballen standard you would expect. Something with crispy crust and creamy filling which were a bit off. Overall a great terrace with nice snack options

I've been to Moos during the day before, and this time I had a bite to eat on the terrace in the evening. The service was super fast and friendly, and the fish of the day was delicious! What a lovely, cozy place, and the food is delicious too! Plenty of options for meat/fish as well as vegetarians!

Just celebrated my birthday here for lunch. It was super super nice. They had reserved us the top floor inside. Everything was perfect from the organization prior to the event to the service during, food was good, staff was friendly, professional and nice! They even let us stay a big long after the reservation had expired! It's was a perfect day! Thank you guys! Great job!

Very warm, cozy and romantic environment, staffs are very friendly. Food is common dishes, nothing fancy, but has some special interesting detail here and there. Big thanks for being dog-friendly too

I was served the tartar steak from the new menu by the Chef himself. It was one of the most delicious experience I’ve had in some time. Great place, great food!

Food is nice but not amazing. Not too pricey so that makes it better. Our starter and dessert were simple, but good, and main course a bit fancy but meat chewy. Drinks good but pricey. Staff and atmosphere make up for it! Would recommend for a simple meal and a few nice drinks. Solid place for a Friday/Saturday quick date dinner and some drinks.

We had the Moos double cheeseburger and the Melanzane, and both were absolutely delicious! The interior is nicely decorated, and the service is also top-notch! We'll definitely be back :)

This is a beautiful little place to stop in.

Atmosphere is a top notch, yet we ended up changing place because the food is not safe for people with celiac. Although they serve Gluten free bun, the server made sure to tell us that Gluten is everywhere in the kitchen and food is all cross contaminated.

We had Eggs Benedict and the crispy chicken sandwich. We also had a slice of banana bread and some very tasty cappuccinos. Everything was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Great!

Deplorable service. We waited 30 minutes to even order a drink. When I went inside to pay later, our server didn’t even recognize me and asked me where I was seated. I thought he was joking since I flagged him down on two occasions just to order food. He was serious; he truly didn’t remember me although he was our server. How is this even possible?

They took a very long time to take our order and bring us our food, but the food itself was good.

Unbelievably poor service, even for Amsterdam. I had a full beer poured all over me and my phone. I received the least authentic apology possible from the waitress who visibly couldn't care less. When I asked for the bill I was charged full price despite stinking of beer. When I paid I wasn't thanked or told to have a nice day. I was treated like dirt on the staff's shoe despite the fact that THEY poured the drink on ME. Never go here. The service is DISGUSTING.

We arrived unexpectedly, and despite the restaurant being full, they found us a very cute little spot. The setting was adorable and the brunch was really good; it more than made up for the wait! A great experience, definitely worth it.

Great place for a brunch. The atmosphere is cozy with candles on each table, and the food was nice. We were able to get a table around midday without reservation but it might depend on the day and hour.

🥑 REVIEW – MOOS, AMSTERDAM “Avocado toast so thick you almost get muscles from cutting it” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5 – tasty and cozy, but bring your cutlery to the gym) Brunch at Moos in Amsterdam was an adventure in itself. I ordered the classic toast with avocado and burrata, and believe me, that toast was so thick that I thought I was getting some strength training while cutting it. Seriously, my fork and knife suddenly became my new fitness buddies. Avocado deliciously creamy, burrata creamy and that combination? Top! The mint tea with it made it complete, fresh, just a little bit different from regular tea, and I almost felt a bit fancy with that green cup in my hand. The place itself was a bit on the cozy side, let's say "intimate with a touch of cozy chaos," but that actually fit the hip vibe that Moos exudes. The staff was super friendly and super accommodating, as if they knew I might be winning a battle with my toast. It was busy, but not so that I felt trapped between the avocado fanatics. In short: if you're in the mood for a thick, filling toast with all the trimmings, a bit of coziness, and a mini workout with your cutlery, then Moos is a must. Until the next bite of Tafels & Tories 🤙

Atmosphere is amazing! The dark wood, mirrors, upper deck, really cute. Service is as per average Dutch standards - you get to wait until you receive attention, hostesses don’t seem to pay attention once you have made up your mind. Dinner stretched into 3 hours, most of what would have been waiting on either food or chance to order. Food… menu is promising, but flavors are very basic. Mostly under salted, but then steak too salty. Main course comes without any side dishes, which is bit clunky to order, so settle for them chips with fritsaus and lower the expectations. Desert was better but again wait time is longer than you expect for an ice-cream on a cake. Would like to return because it feels good, neighborly but besides that kinda meh.

Very pleasant place with a good atmosphere. Regarding the meal, really not disappointed it was very good. We felt very good and thanks again to the waiter for speaking with us in French. This made us extremely happy!

The eggs Benny are underwhelming with a sugary brioche that reminds of an American hamburger bun, eggs too hard cooked, hollandaise was too runny and foamy, and nothing special with the ham. Also nothing for a pallet cleanser or sides. While the staff are nice they do need to be chased for service or you will never approach you. Tons of potential yet to be tapped!

Came from Belgium for a day in Amsterdam and had seen good reviews about it. But unfortunately, hollandaise sauce was sour, brioche was fried and eggs were cold. Too bad, but this wasn't it!

At first it was very good but completely deteriorated. Staff is very disinterested and more concerned with chatting with each other than the well-being of the customers. Very unfortunate because it was much better before, both in terms of food and service. Won't go here again

Awesome staff, quick service, and flexibility. We were having some drinks with colleagues last night and decided to have dinner also. The drinks came super quick, the staff was very friendly, the food also came quick, and the food was also delicious! Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Nice neighborhood cafe?? Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock we want to have lunch.. plop down outside but the staff is sitting at the bar and refuses to come out... so we go to the other side at Whale and there top service!!!

PS was like drinking a hug - it was so well made! Pepper steak, truffle fries, salad and pumpkin ginger carrot soup were absolutely delectable. Finished off with a plate of their apple pie with vanilla ice cream - couldn’t have had a better meal with my husband. Thank you, Moos!

Nice place for coffee and sweets, a drink or lunch. Quite a bit 'Amsterdam' in terms of friendliness. In other words, practical and clear, but a smile is sometimes a bit difficult. It's part of the culture, I know. But still sometimes a shame.

Food was way too salty. Staff seems to care more about talking to friends than serving customers. Place was loud as well. Can't have any form of conversation without shouting.

This is a very cozy place outside the city centre. The staff were super nice and friendly. Everyone spoke perfect English. I enjoyed my breakfast here with a big group of friends. The only thing that I think needs improving is the food. I had eggs Benedict and they were just ok. I've had this meal outside of the Netherlands and it tasted way better. It was slightly cold too. The coffee was good though.

It has left me indifferent. Although the juice and coffee are good. Eggs Benedict has not impressed me at all. The hollandaise sauce was very bland and quite pasty. The eggs were slightly overcooked.

There are too few staff in both the service and the kitchen. Waited for fifteen minutes for lunch, while the place was half full. Terrace was skipped by the service. The waiter (who was also quite cheerful) assured that lunch would be available quickly. That turned out not to be the case at all. In the end, the kitchen staff served lunch because there was chaos in the service. Not recommended.

Staff knew little about the menu they served

Moos is no longer moos. We had a great meal here a few months ago, but now it really wasn't good. We waited for 45 minutes and asked the waiter where our starter was. The burrata was really bad. Of the main courses, the hamburger was the best. Steak and also the melzane were okay but that was it. A super nice tent for a drink, very cozy inside and outside.

We had breakfast here. The best Eggs Benedict with really good Hollandaise sauce. The avocado toast was also very tasty and rich. All around perfect. The service is more than attentive and super friendly. 🫶🏻☀️

Full marks here! I thought the food was very good, but was especially impressed by the friendliness and service orientation (without exaggeration) of the staff. Not only did I feel very welcome, but I also felt no obstacle in asking for some extra bread, etc. All very pleasant.

A lovely place in the west of Amsterdam. I love the interior style of the late 60th, early 70th. The food is absolute delicious and the cocktails are great. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the terrace outside. We enjoyed a delicious avocado sandwich and will come back for sure.

Sandwich is just downright dirty. Way too much mayo, meat very bad and dirty, everything soggy. Such a shame really. I highly recommend the steak. Do not take!!!!!! Chicken is tasty, but my friend had that.

Nice place, but the Smashburger we got here was overcooked and tasted burnt just like the blackened bun. Unfortunately, the fries had also been in the fryer for too long. For €19 you don't even get a leaf of lettuce or tomato. Very disappointing. Especially when I read here that this happens more often. Come on Moos: it can't be that difficult!

Had a nice evening with food and drinks, only 1 problem, the hamburger (smashburger?) had a strong fishy taste. At first I thought I was imagining it, but by the end I was sure. I made a report which was responded to promptly, apparently one large baking tray is used for fish and meat, but apparently the plate was not cleaned properly. Unfortunately, I was left with an aftertaste from this dinner.

Delicious cocktails. Really great!! Too bad the guys at the bar set their own opening hours. If you say last round at half past twelve, while the place is still half full... You should be able to assume that you can order something until 00:45.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience the two times I’ve been here. Bad service by a couple of waiters. The actual owner was very rude to us. Food is okay but there are better options on the street. I won’t be back.
