When we have the hunkering for indan food there is only one place for us and that is Mother India. For years, I would say close to two decades we are returning customers. The food is plenty, hot and delicious. The chicken so tender. The sauces are balanced. I also love the paper it comes wrapped in. Deliverys always friendly and on time.

Placed an order on uber and they called me to say they wouldn't be able to take my order 40 minutes after I placed it. Rather than cancelling in the app, 3-4 hours later they said they had delivered it to take my money. I now have to go through time and effort to get my money back from Uber. Never again will I waste my time with this place.

Bad listening, even worse cooking.

Absolutely awful. Tonnes of sugar in the curries and sauces. The seekh kebab was deep fried instead of cooked in the tandoor. How it has any decent reviews suggests the standard of India food in Amsterdam is incredibly low. Avoid at all costs.

Delicious and delivered on time

Best Indian food and delivery in Amsterdam. Delicious homemade cooking! For 15 years now my absolute favourite! Some of the very negative reviews are difficult to understand and maybe in some cases even fake. This place has very good reviews from experts too!

Ordered a takeaway again.EXCELLENT food, good portions and packed well so was still hot. Have ordered takeaways from Mother India for over 10 years, since they started. The flavors and quality is exceptional. Service/delivery also good and reliable. Keep up the great work.

Best Indian take away in Amsterdam

Mother India is our go-to takeaway. The flavours are amazing as is the quality. Definitely the best Indian restaurant I’ve encountered in Amsterdam.

Fresh ingredients. I find many Indian places in NL over loaded with just salt. And here the spices are just right. Great as delivery, would be happy to try dining in if I am in the area.

Ordered samosas and lamb vindaloo here tonight via Uber Eats. Samosas were okay but cold, but I am not happy with the side dishes of the lamb vindaloo. According to the description, this dish should include rice or naan (I chose naan), allo matter and salad. The naan was very soggy, the salad was a handful of lettuce that was already turning brown with two slices of cucumber and I didn't get the allo matter. When I called about this, I was told that they no longer provide this with Uber Eats orders, even though it is stated in the description, because the owner had forgotten to change it and so I would no longer get it. Incredibly expensive for what you get, especially if items are missing and the rest is substandard.

I ordered lamb dish. Quality of meat was terrible, so I had to throw it away. I will never again order from this store.

Dirty place , and very rude people, maybe that's why they only deliver , they don't want costumers to see the mess and the dirty place , and the rude people who work there .

I don't understand the bad reviews. I order here regularly and it's always delicious. Of course, delivery sometimes takes a little longer on weekends, but I always have hot food. Highly recommended if you like real Indian food

Since Covid this is only for takeaway or delivery. No eating indide. I have been ordering food monthly for about 10 years now. Got only the best value and taste Favorites are Saag Paneer and Butter Chicken

Ordered here. Waited over 2 hours for the order. They were not reachable by phone and just came hours late with cold food. No apologies whatsoever. The food also killed my stomach. Really, just stay away from this place.

Comida simples e gostosa, bem típica. Melhor ainda para pedir, porque o espaço é pequeno e sem qualquer requinte. Vale a pena.

We got take-out from Mother India last week. The food was excellent!! We had their Lamb Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, a Spinach and Cheese dish, Naan and rice. Every dish was perfectly prepared and wrapped with exceeding care. I can’t wait until we go back. There was more than enough for the four of us. Great job Mother India.😀👍🏻

Really nice food. Good quality, quantity and great taste. We arranged catering(dinner) for around 25 people and were delighted with the experience. Had a nice conversation with the owner and he really took care of everything.

Ik bestel hier best vaak via Uber of Deliveroo. Altijd lekker eten, groote portie's kortom een goede prijs/kwaliteit verhoudeing. Absoluut een aanrader.

Ik bestel hier vaker. Het is een heerlijke eettent. Het eten is er al behoorlijk snel en ook lekker warm. Een echte aanrader.

Loef dit! Paar menu’s, wat hapjes en wat naan’s besteld en alles was echt top gekruid, goede porties, warm bezorgd en overall echt een aanrader. Oké, mijn eigen zuurdesem knoflooknaan is net iets lekkerder, dat dan weer wel. Maar dat is gewoon even opscheppen. Ga zeker vaker bij Mother India eten!

We order delivery every two weeks, the best option for delivery so far, delicious food, not too fancy, for a good price. I usually take the big mother for 2.

I had lamb madras and prawns and both dishes were mediocre, eatable but would not order again. Not the real taste.

This is the best Indian in Amsterdam they came within 20mins and the food was the best I have ever had. 5 star all day bruv

I am in Netherlands from almost 2 year and tried lot of Indian restaurant but Mother India restaurant I found one of the best Indian food in Netherlands. I order food for party, food and quantity of food are awesome. I want to personally thanks to Rajeev Ji who make my party awesome with his food service and commitment. De bezorger had een verkeerde bestelling geleverd. Gebeld met Mother India die het heeft nagekeken en ons binnen paar minuten terugbelde. Of we de bestelling wilde houden, dan werd ons geld teruggestort. Prima service en deze gerechten, die we niet zelf gekozen hadden, waren heerlijk.
