MY ICE CREAM in Wijk 36 Moerwijk

Went down for a nice latte macchiato. Ordering at the counter was no problem. But if you are sitting inside and get your latte in a paper cup with a lid, that is absolutely not okay. The owner's child was walking on the benches with his shoes and running through the place. And friendliness was nowhere to be found. The latte was substandard.

I find it quite something to claim that they offer “the world’s best Italian ice cream.” I have certainly never eaten artisanal ice cream in Italy or anywhere else in the world. This ice cream doesn't even come close in terms of taste. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this were industrially produced factory ice cream, which they then spruce up a bit in the tubs with a sauce, some fruit, etc., and then sell expensively. They do get some extra stars for the presentation. But artisanally prepared?? Unfortunately, the taste is not comparable to authentic Italian ice cream (and this ice cream is most certainly not ‘the best’ Italian ice cream in the world). And asking around €3 for a scoop is quite pricey. Further down the road, you can get real Italian ice cream for a better price. By the way, there used to be a real Italian at this location... but they closed down. Tastes differ, so everyone has to decide for themselves, but the claim ‘best of the world’ is truly ridiculous.

We stopped at the ice cream parlor because of its location (close to the beach). After buying ice cream, we wanted to enjoy it outside. Unfortunately, we were quite surprised by the greedy seagulls 😁. So we bought another ice cream and sat inside. An older gentleman asked us to go outside because we had a packaged kibbeling (battered and fried fish) from the place next door. When we explained that it was packaged food we had bought to take away, he said it didn't matter. That was a very unpleasant experience, and our last. Instead of letting his customers calm down after the shock of the seagulls, the opposite was done – unprofessional behavior, in my opinion. The young waitress behind the counter, however, was very friendly. Unfortunately, that doesn't make the visit any better.

I certainly wouldn't call this "the best Italian ice cream" as advertised. It was okay, but the prices were absolutely unjustified. We definitely won't be back and can't recommend this ice cream parlor. 👎

The ice cream wasn't even mediocre. (There were even chunks of ice mixed in.) But the worst part was the audacity of charging almost €9 for three scoops, even though the menu stated €7.50 for three scoops. The waitress was extremely rude and pushy (the man, that is; the woman was friendly). So, the claim that it's "the best ice cream in Italy" is a bad joke. We thought it was genuinely better ice cream because the prices were already so ridiculously high, but it's definitely not recommended!

I paid nearly 20 euros for 2 kids' ice creams (1 single scoop) and a tub of strawberries with chocolate sauce. Prices aren't listed anywhere; it might be a good idea to add them. I don't think anyone will order anything here anymore if they know the prices🤣. Never again for us!

Excellent coffee and delicious ice cream. The place is beautiful and comfortable, and the reception was very elegant. I thank the veiled employee for her kindness, smile, and friendly manner. A wonderful experience, and I will definitely visit again.

The Dubai chocolate with strawberry was really tasty, there is nothing to complain about there, but I almost had a heart attack from the price. I bought 2 and a cone with strawberry ice cream. €28.85!!!! Scandalously expensive. Also quite "clever" that prices aren't listed. The quality was very good, but the prices were outrageous! Hence the 2 stars.

Just after we had ordered an ice cream and walked outside, a seagull flew up to an ice cream and snatched the ice cream off the cone. A second seagull snatched the cone out of my wife's hands in less than two seconds! A spectacular sight. The owner of Si immediately offered us a new ice cream! We didn't want that; after all, it wasn't Si's fault. After a laugh, we decided: Si got one scoop and we paid for the second. Now for the most important part; it was delicious ice cream!

Received excellent service and had a chat. In the morning, we first grabbed a coffee to go, and in the evening, after dinner, we got a delicious Strawberry Dubai there. Incredibly tasty. Beautiful seating inside and outside with a view of the sea. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Today, May 1st, to the boulevard in Scheveningen…. At ice cream parlor SI, 2 scoops of ice cream in a cup and a single espresso €10 Told the staff that this is a lot of money, his answer: we pay a lot of rent!!!!

Tasty ice cream, but above all, good service. Our ice cream was immediately snatched away outside by an aggressive seagull; we received a new one for free. The seagull seemed to really enjoy the ice cream too, by the looks of it.

We went to Scheveningen on a beautiful spring day and felt like having an ice cream after a long walk. We were served very kindly and stayed seated for quite a while due to the pleasant atmosphere. I have read several reviews regarding the prices, stating that they are on the high side. In my opinion, the prices you pay are very appropriate for the location where you ordered. No one mentions the parking fees at that location or the other hospitality establishments where prices are also generally higher than elsewhere. If you choose to eat or have a drink in Scheveningen, whether in Amsterdam or The Hague... then you need to be prepared for that too. I was very curious about the reviews after my visit and saw that there were many varying reactions. In any case, I am satisfied after my visit and will certainly come back as soon as I visit Scheveningen again.

The place itself is a real big plus: a cozy, lively atmosphere where you can sit for a while with a view of the sea and the Pier, while enjoying your ice cream 🌊 The ice cream tastes good, with plenty of flavor choices. The service was friendly, although it was a bit slower during busy times. That is somewhat understandable given the location and popularity. The prices are on the higher side, but honestly, that is not surprising in the heart of Scheveningen. All in all, a nice spot for an ice cream by the sea, mainly due to the cozy atmosphere and the prime location. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Scheveningen and want to relax with something tasty 🍦

The ice cream was really delicious. The place was clean, and the staff were attentive and friendly.

Flavorless ice cream. All the flavors seem the same. Even the chocolate ones manage not to taste like chocolate. No napkins, no smiles. The very cute setting is the only saving grace. There's much better. P.S. 2 flavors...5.50...not cheap.

I visited Scheveningen for the first time today and I can wholeheartedly recommend IJscaffè Sì to anyone who wants a delicious ice cream or espresso! Super nice and welcoming staff. I will definitely be back soon!

Espresso €4.50 without water or sugar, absolute nonsense; ice cream €3, a complete waste of money & it even tastes bad.

Anyone who advertises "Best Italian ice cream ever" should at least deliver on that promise! This ice cream was actually one of the worst mass-produced ice creams I've ever eaten :-(

What a lovely place! Delicious coffee, tea, and fantastic ice creams – the saffron ice cream was truly unique and so tasty! The owners are incredibly friendly and great with children. Absolutely recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There were five of us; two had ice cream, and one had a cappuccino. They couldn't even make us two decent lattes. Okay, we didn't speak Dutch very well, but we spoke very clear English and explained everything perfectly. They made a cappuccino, which was just a latte, and a latte meant a cup of coffee filled to the brim, and they gave us a milk capsule, even though we told them half coffee and half milk. Unbelievable! They looked at us like we were ordering a dragon with a unicorn horn... pathetic. They weren't friendly either, so I won't be going back, to be honest. They're only good because there aren't many places to get a coffee around here. And the quality of the coffee... they'd be better off sticking to ice cream.

My son said, "Mom, the ice cream here tastes awful." I can only agree; it's the most artificial strawberry ice cream I've ever tasted. There were no prices displayed, so it was a surprise at the checkout.

We were going to get 4 ice cream cups but seeing that they were filling them so little, we only got 2 for the kids, so as not to disappoint them. The ice creams have very little flavor. And there is little variety because many had run out. And they don't have a restroom, no matter how much you spend. I wouldn't go back, really.

This café is such a cozy and welcoming spot! The coffee is excellent, and the owners make your visit feel friendly and personal. The space is very clean, with a lovely interior design, and there’s a tempting selection of ice cream and other treats.

I wanted to order a Dubai strawberry, I already saw a few strawberries in a cup (I thought they were show models because there was mold on one of the strawberries. He just took it from there, I said there was mold on it, he took it and said oh and put it back!!! 🤬🤬 never again for me

The seller doesn’t check the weight of the ice cream 1 scoop it can be 50-100 grams, it is very relative. I was gelato seller many years myself and I have never sold a single ice cream without checking the weight for the customer. Also the staff doesn’t know anything about the ice cream, the ingredients, what is sorbet and many more… and also the temperature of the freezer is very low and the gelato is like rock.

Absurdly expensive!! Prices are made up at will. Matcha for €6 on the menu was then charged €10 because the customer requested oat milk instead of regular milk. Absolutely outrageous. The cashier shows no insight or understanding!

The ice cream is ok, but way too expensive! 1 children's ice cream (1 scoop) and 1 scoop with whipped cream will cost you €7.55. So better to walk a bit or go back a bit and you will definitely get more value for your money!

The previous owner on the boulevard served the same ice cream sundaes, the same photos in the menu book. Really delicious. But... they are now TEN euros more expensive. 18 and 19 euros each for an ice cream sundae!!! Once but never again!
