A truly wonderful restaurant, generous portions, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Hopefully, you'll reopen soon!

I’m traveling to Netherlands and stay at Rotterdam 3 nights so I found Thai restaurants and met the Thai lady who owner of the restaurants.she and her sister very good service and very Thai food. I recommend this restaurant if you really want to test of real Thai food.

All in all, highly recommended 👍

Food very tasty, but the portions.....absurdly small, especially considering the price (min. € 20) where you also have to pay extra for chicken, beef, etc.

The food is okay, but the (takeaway) portions are scandalously small and therefore expensive.

Love Goong Chae Nam Pla Shrimp in fish sauce! Som Tam is also good! Staff is also very polite and kind. As Thai I recommend this restaurant 👍

Nice authentic Thai restaurant with very friendly service. Enjoyed the fish cakes and chicken spring rolls as a starter. These were great in taste and at the right temperature. As a main course I had the phad cha with chicken, stir-fried vegetables in fresh Thai herbs. This was less tasty than the starter, but was still good. Finished off with a cup of coffee. After paying, the door was held open and thanked again. Great.

On 23.12.24 ordered food via Uebereats for delivery today 25.12.24 at 1730/1800, I receive an email today at 1700 that the order has been cancelled. Called the restaurant and got someone who explained in broken English that the delivery had been sick for 2 days. What a lousy service for such an expensive restaurant. Never again.

Delicious and authentic dishes, put together with great taste. The service is incredibly friendly and hospitable. And all that in an atmospheric setting. A real Thai pearl!

Wednesdaydinner , 27 march 🕘 uur : Padkrapaokoeng , tomyampla , Yamtalay . Drinks ? Coca-Cola while my Mexican Casaturrentseries1973 awaits . All was well prepared , traditional and tastefull! What sets MyThaiSon Rotterdam apart from other “Thai” delis or restaurants of Rotterdam? It’s traditional taste . No adjustment to western / Dutch soft almost Indonesian-sundaychinese taste , but simply like it’s made in Thailand itself . The restaurant itself is a joy of warmth and cosyness and the hospitality second to none the real Thai way . For me since it’s opneming 10 years ago , still the best Thai restaurant of Rotterdam , and wich - as seen on Googlemaps - I still visit every week , 12 months , 50 weeks a year .

Be carefully with this restaurant they make some side business inside . Sometimes really weird peoples stay inside after 23:00 . I think they work with the Maffia

We had a takeaway and it was very delicious and authentic, would Definitely recommend ,I’m already looking forward to eating from here again.

I have saved two numbers in my phone with the tastiest food in Rotterdam and this restaurant is one of them. That says something (: The restaurant looks nice inside! Too bad small dogs were not allowed in the restaurant so we could sit on the terrace. I'm so glad we did that! Compared to other Thai restaurants, it is indeed a bit on the expensive side, but you get 100% quality and taste in return. In short, worth repeating.

What a cozy atmosphere created by Amy and her sister - you feel so welcomed from the moment you step in! They are always smiling and attentive but also very quick service. Food is delicious and the portions are really more than enough…and they have also fried ice-cream ❤️ we will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu…

What a wonderful place to eat Thai... it looks beautiful inside and the ladies are very sweet. I had the green and red curry, very tasty!! but the pad thai with spicy chicken was the tastiest.

It was a cold night in Rotterdam and we were looking for a place to have dinner and saw this Thai restaurant. The owner Gigi who co-owns the place with her sister, Amy, greeted us and she was wearing the traditional Thai dress. Her smile is enough to warm you in a cold night. One feels being warmly welcomed to a home and not a restaurant. Inside, the restaurant has a Thai decor. The food from the menu could be shared if we want to and the spiciness could also be adjusted. We ordered Som Tam Thai (Green Papaya Salad with carrot, tomatoes, garter bean and peanuts), Kaeng Phed Deng (Spicy Red Curry with bamboo shoots, eggplants, sweet bascilicum) one with beef and another with chicken, Phad Pak Kana Moo Krob (crispy deep fried pork belly stir fried in oyster sauce), Pad Thai with chicken, shrimp and tofu. All main courses have big portions except the pork belly with vegetables. There are only about 7 slices of pork belly mixed in with lots of vegetables and therefore is not for sharing. For dessert we had Mango Sticky Rice (sticky rice, coconut milk, mango with sesame seed topping). All the food was so delicious, tasteful and flavourful. They really are so mouth watering good. I love that they serve the curry in a hot pot brass warmer keeping the food hot enough and the Papaya salad in a vintage blue and white porcelain bowl with a pedestal. The food doesn't only taste good but they look good in these serving dishes. They are not only pleasing to the eye but makes the customers feel special. It is unfortunate that I can only find this restaurant in Rotterdam or else I will keep coming back to this place. After trying out their authentic Thai food I will have difficulty finding a Thai restaurant that can match such flavour.

The food was quite pricey for the quality and size of the dish. We were a group of 8 people, the restaurant was 1/3 full, but the service could have been better. For example, the rice was forgotten, the water you ordered comes with 2 glasses, then we ordered another bottle, which never came. Once they had paid 180 euros, at the time of departure they received a bill of 16 euros for the two bottles of water they had forgotten. The taste of the dishes itself was not authentic Thai.

A very nice Thai restaurant. Food was freshly prepared and very flavorful. Had a really nice spicy sauce on the prawn dish. Restaurant was very nicely decorated with a Thai theme. Staff was overly friendly and always smiling. If I was local would eat here on a regular basis.

By 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, most Dutch people will have already eaten - it's quiet at My Thai Son. It's already cool outside at this time, but it's mostly just individuals sitting inside. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and I particularly like the reinterpretation of the paintings by Dutch masters with Thai elements. Main courses on the well-stocked menu range between 18 and 25 euros. The service is very friendly. I'll start with "Thod-Man Plaa (4 fish cakes)". I would have expected a fishy taste here, but the beautifully presented dish simply tastes fried. The main course “Phad Pak Kana Moo Krob (Crispy Fried Pork Belly in Oyster Sauce)” is also not convincing: it only contains a little pork belly and the vegetables are almost raw. The service takes note of my feedback without further (re)action. Conclusion: Nice ambience, average cuisine. Mittwochabend um 20 Uhr dürften die meisten Holländer bereits gegessen haben - im My Thai Son ist es ruhig. Draußen ist es um diese Zeit schon kühl, drinnen sitzen in erster Linie Einzelpersonen. Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet, besonders gut gefällt mir die Neuinterpretation der Gemälde holländischer Meister mit thailändischen Elementen. Hauptgerichte der gut sortierten Karte liegen zwischen 18 und 25 Euro. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Ich starte mit "Thod-Man Plaa (4 Fischkuchen)". Hier hätte ich Fischgeschmack erwartet, aber das hübsch präsentierte Gericht schmeckt einfach nur frittiert. Foods are great, curry is amazing! My friend who doesn’t drink coconut milk was falling in love with their curry. Papaya salad is the classic must try dishes! Pad Thai is ok. Service was lovely and friendly too. Will definitely come back again .❤️

This was the first time we dined here (only my husband had been here before with colleagues). The food was incredibly good, big portions - we could barely finish and only my son could eat desert, just because he didn't finish his dish 😉. We had the starters for 2 persons, beef Pad Thai, beef red Thai curry, beef green Thai curry, and one mango sticky rice. Service was very friendly, Aimee was so helpful and polite, as well as her sister, Gigi! Thank you for your hospitality, we will see you soon again! The atmosphere was calm. We were the only ones when we arrived. Soon after, other clients came in, but the level of sound was really nice and friendly. Little restaurant with great soul and good vibe. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

It was the greatest Thai food I've ever had in Rotterdam, with excellent service and a flavour profile reminiscent of Thai food in Thailand.

My friends and us had a fantastic dining experience at My Thai Son in Rotterdam over the weekend. From the moment we arrived, the staff's friendliness and attentive service made us feel truly welcomed. The guy who served us was incredibly polite. The other lady staff was also super efficient and both of them managed 30-35 guest and ensured that each guest was taken care of with patience and a smile. The cozy interior of the restaurant added to the overall ambiance, and it was evident that cleanliness was a top priority, which we appreciated. While the wine list wasn't extensive, it didn't detract from our enjoyment of the meal. We opted for glasses of wine and juice, which complemented our dishes perfectly. For starters, we tried the Po-Piah-Kai-Thod and Laab Kai Thod, both of which were incredibly delicious and left us eager for more. Moving on to the main course, the Phad-Thai with chicken and Kaeng Phed Deng (Red Thai Curry - mild spice) with chicken were absolute standouts. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. To round off our meal, we indulged in the mango sticky rice dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already delightful culinary journey. Overall, our experience at My Thai Son was nothing short of exceptional, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. Great restaurant the food is magnificent. The only downside is the speed of service. But the food is amazing

The food is delicious but the portions are too small. Especially if you pay €22 per curry, you should be nice and full and unfortunately we are not.

Wij hadden online eten bestelt en betaald. Door onvoorziene omstandigheden konden we het eten niet gaan ophalen. Een uur voor de gepande afhaaltijd gebeld. Na overleg zou het geld worden geretourneerd. Dit is dan ook gebeurd. Super service natuurlijk, waar voor dank

Ordered and got a surprise menu (thamadaabox) yesterday. What a party! Delicious dishes, hopefully we will visit your restaurant again soon! We would still love to come there in 2024! Just had another evening, delicious food!

Please serve honestly. Do not first say that there is 'still' enough pork belly and then later not. We saw a bowl passing by for other guests, which was well filled. My dish was served earlier. When walking past the waiter, it was noticed why my husband's pork belly was not coming. So he ended up getting the last leftovers from the kitchen (not even a piece) with lots of vegetables to camouflage everything. The fish cakes quickly heated in the microwave? That just can not be. The fried rice... well... also quickly worn out. Don't forget that by chance you may have customers dining with you who are doing better at home but also want to go out for a nice meal.

Eerlijk serveren. Niet eerst zeggen, dat er 'nog' genoeg buikspek is en achteraf toch niet. We zagen een schaal voorbijkomen voor andere gasten, die goed gevuld was. Mijn gerecht werd al eerder geserveerd. Bij het voorbijlopen van de bediening werd opgemerkt waarom de buikspek van mijn man maar niet kwam. Hij kreeg dus uiteindelijk de laatste restjes uit de keuken (nog geen lapje) met veel groente om alles te camoufleren. De even snel in de magnetron opgewarmde viskoekjes? Dat kan echt niet. De gebakken rijst ... tja ... ook snel afgeraffeld. Vergeet niet, dat er heel toevallig een keer klanten bij jullie kunnen dineren, die het thuis beter doen maar ook eens lekker uit eten willen gaan.

They are very friendly and the food is amazing, we ordered one pork Mu Phad tamada and one chicken KAI PhAR KAPHRAO both are really tasty and the Tom yam kai soup also good! Even my picky husband says this a very good restaurant!

3 jaar geleden eerder geweest naar dit restaurant. Toen was het eten nog lekker en werd het mooi gepresenteerd. Nu lijkt het verwaarloosd en is de presentatie nergens te vinden. Jammer, want voor zulke bedragen verwacht je wel wat. Nu lijkt meer op een wok restaurant service qua eten.

Totaal geen organisatie, slechte doch vriendelijke bediening. Eten matig.

Altijd heerlijk eten. Ik wordt er superblij van al die lekkere verse kruiden. En verse vis, echt smullen.

Het Thais eten was lekker en voldoende. Maar jammer genoeg was de service erbarmelijk slecht. De dames hadden geen flauw benul van hoe hun menukaart eruit zag, hoe ze met gasten moeten omgaan of hoe je klanten bedient. Er gingen veel dingen fout en jammer genoeg werd het niet op de juiste manier aangepakt. Het duurde lang voor er iemand de bestelling kwam opnemen, zelfs na herhaaldelijk teken te doen. Het opnemen van de bestelling ging vrij moeizaam en achteraf bleek dat de bestelling niet correct werd doorgegeven. Verschillende malen bestek moeten vragen. Geen rosé wijn, dus werd rose cava voorgesteld. 1 gerecht was niet correct en na enkele minuten verschijnt er een gerecht met rauwe groenten. De lijst blijft maar doorgaan. Helaas zorgt de slechte service ervoor dat wij met een teleurgesteld gevoel huiswaarts gingen.

Was gebakken bananen besteld, na 1/2 uur nog niet geserveerd. Na dat wij hen attenderen. Kwam het past

The food was great! Service was good when you finally got one. Took a while before you received service. Sat 30 min waiting for someone to give us the menu. Didn't get fork and spoon either had to get it ourselves from other table. They apparently had a new waitress trainee, but still, you should train them to do these basic things at least before having them on the floor serving people.

Authentic Thai food. You will not find a better place in Rotterdam! Would give them 6 stars if I could.

Prima Thais eten. Voorgerecht mix voor twee personen vonden wij niet erg bijzonder, maar was wel lekker. Hoofdgerechten smaakte goed, de massaman was alleen totaal niet pittig, dat was jammer. Bediening was oké, maar niet altijd snel of toegankelijk vanwege de drukte.

Heerlijk eten. Begonnen met po-piah kan tod, vegetarische loempias, saté kai en toen Keang khiaw-waan met kip en gebakken rijst. Heerlijk, erg pittig maar je kan om niet pittig vragen. Ober een beetje doof want die begreep niet zoveel maar vrouwelijk personeel was top. Aanrader.

Vreselijk lang moeten wachten op alles. Van service en drankjes tot ons eten. We hoopten dat het de moeite waard was, maar alles wat we hebben gegeten was flauw. Zelfs in de pittige gerechten was geen smaak of peper te bekennen. We hadden medelijden met de bediening, want hij bleef maar slecht nieuws brengen en van Hot naar her rennen. Was op geen enkele manier voor herhaling vatbaar. 2 sterren voor de leuke inrichting.

Al twee jaar komen we bij My Thai Son, helaas na dit keer moet ik zeggen.. hè wat slecht. Begon met arrogante meisje aan de lijn, attitude zeg… Vervolgens kregen we eten (afgehaald), bakjes waren half leeg. Maar prijs 2x zo hoog. 50€ voor 2 halve bakjes. Smaak niet zo als vroeger… beetje smaakloos. Zo duur restaurant geworden, maar service rukkeloos en niet eens kroepoek bij. Gaat van mijn lijstje af!

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Gastvrij ontvangst, snelle bediening, goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Went there while on a trip with some colleagues, and had a few dishes. The tomyum soups were flavourful, but weren't as spicy as we liked. The pad thai was really good, the steamed fish came with this flavourful sauce that we loved, and the grilled pork belly was so delicious. Would highly recommend!

Heerlijk eten . Prima prijs. vreselijke bediening. voorgerecht na 47 minuten , en hoofdgerecht kwam in delen. tafel werd niet ingedekt maar alles op tafel gesmeten . echt jammer

I can not describe my delight! Everything was cozy, stylish, beautiful paintings on the walls with mixed cultures and styles. Everything was good… but then…. They brought food…. And after that it was just WONDERFUL! We ordered Tom yam nam ghon- it was delicious, but too small portion. And then they brought KEANG PHED DANG (vegetarian option) - it was not only delicious… it was like a food from heaven… and we really liked it. It might be best thing I have ever tried in my life 🤤 *You need a reservation here

Eten was heel lekker, personeel heel aardig maar beetje chaotisch met serveren van de maaltijd. Helaas veel herrie vanwege vele verkeer maar dan kun je natuurlijk ook binnen eten. Al met al prima avondje gehad.

Heerlijk eten! Wel vaak moeten vragen om extra rijst. We waren met vijf personen dus één bakje is niet genoeg. Na het eten werd er niet meer gevraagd of we wat wilden drinken of een toetje wilden. Erg jammer want het eten is wel heel goed.

Heerlijke (pittige!) curry's met een hele mooie authentieke sfeer. Personeel was ook aardig.
