Namaste Nepali & Indian Restaurant in Kralingen-Crooswijk

Was on a business trip. After being in Netherlands for few days thought of trying Indian food in Rotterdam. Happy to say that the food gave an authentic Indian spice taste. As requested the Chicken Jalfreizi was medium spicy and lam Rogan Josh was without spice. Would say the lamb pieces were very few compared to the price but sufficient gravy to serve 3. Had called the restaurant earlier to order but they said I would not be able to pay by card, having no cash on hand they suggested online order. Found the food cost to be on higher side as all gravy dishes are €18+, each naan costed €3.5+. They gave boiled rice and pappad complimentary with gravy dishes and delivered in an hours time though I was 1.5 kms away. Have given pics of the dishes for ready reference.

The food is really good. Everything is home made and made of fresh food. Prices are are ok. For a little restaurant the choice is really huge. I had the Chicken Saag and Garlic nan and basmati rice.The taste was very good and there was many chunks of chicken in the Saag. Portions are (for me) very big. Enough for 2 days even. The Garlic nan cood have been prepared with more Garlic. The people are very nice and helpful. We will certainly come back here.

This place is not suitable for Asians as they put lot of sweet into the curry.The most I ever had . I understand why they do that but it should be balanced and not like ordering a sweet curry . Also the strawberry had lot of sugar added into it. Chefs/staffs should refrain from adding too much or atleast taste themselves before serving. Presentation was good, snacks were good but when it comes to other areas, they need to adapt . This is not a place for me to revisit again.

Never never never order for delivery here. Food is good when you eat there. But they have zero planning at all - ~1 hour extra from indicated time when ordering. Even worse when you call they blame the drivers - even though three have been allocated to the order along the way - but they missed the slot to have the food ready. Best of all last 30 min delay the food was done - but there was no more driver to come to them… In total hour extra wait (total 2) - cold food - restaurant blaming uber eats vs their own horrible management. Never again.

Been a while since I had a good spicy vindaloo curry, and this hit the spot!

Incredibly delicious food, and a lot of it, you definitely won't go home hungry! The price is also very reasonable, for less than 20 euros you have a delicious curry with fish. Friendly service and free papadums with tasty dips. Great address!

Ordered the paneer tikka masala w/ butter naan. I thought the serving size of the paneer tikka masala was small. Barely enough for one person. My tikka masala only had 6-8 small cubes of paneer. I did not like the texture of their paneer very much. My tikka masala also had roughly chopped bell pepper, diced onion and julienned ginger. I did not like the bell pepper and onion because they had not been cooked long enough. The taste of the curry was good. It was medium spicy. I did not enjoy the naan very much. The naan was slathered in butter, which I liked. However, I prefer my naan thin and crispy. Their naan was thin and a little chewy. A bit doughy. Their chai is made without sugar. It was good, but you have to add at least two packets of sugar. Service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean.

I have never been to this place, I always order online. Hands down the best Indian food in Rotterdam. I usually go for Chana masala and saag paneer and the quality & taste is always brilliant.

Excelente comida, se pueden degustar ingredientes frescos y carne y pescado de calidad. Mis favoritos son: Cordero Vindaloo (siempre pido un curry extra caliente y lo preparan perfectamente) , Marisco Biryani (debes probarlo, tanto sabor pero bien equilibrado) y el Pollo Tikka Massala con ajo naan. La menta es mi entrante favorito junto con el kebab de cordero o pollo. ¡Sus Mango lassi... las mejores! La próxima visita voy a probar otros platos... ¡mantenlos informados! Gente muy amable que dirige este lugar, ambiente cálido, muy buen servicio.

Very bad, I ordered the butter chicken here, it was tasteless, you can't taste the garlic, onion and masala. Instead of using salt they added sugar. This dish should not be so sweet. If you are Indian you should know how to make these dishes.

Delicious authentic dishes in a small cozy restaurant...definitely recommended if you want good food!

The service is excellent. The food is delicious. They regularly ask if the food tastes good and if you want anything else. Staff is friendly. The only downside is that you can't redeem your dinner gift voucher/card here while they are on the dinner gift website!!

The owners are super nice. While each dish isn’t a big portion, the price is reasonable. The atmosphere is great, and my friends and I had a lovely dinner there. The only thing we weren’t too keen on was the butter chicken—it was a bit too sweet for our taste, but that might vary from restaurant to restaurant.

Delicious food, mixed grill and Nepalese dish with rice and lamb curry. Finished with a tea with milk. Super friendly and hard working service, reasonably priced. We couldn't eat it all, so we asked for a doggy bag so we can enjoy it again at home.

Delicious food. Everything of good quality and tasted very good. Also not expensive for what you get. We lost around 25 pp and ate and drank more than enough. Nice people, but the atmosphere could be a little better, it feels a bit like you are in a snack bar. For that reason I would give it a 4.5, but unfortunately that is not possible so I will round it up. Recommended!!

Had a good Nepali and Indian Food. In the begining i was doubting how it it will be? taste will be same like Nepali and indian or not but after all it surprised me. Kulfi(Desert) was lekker Should go and have to visit this place.

Als voorbereiding op onze reis naar India is dit restaurant uitermate geschikt om de Indische en Nepalese keuken te leren kennen. De bediening is uitermate vriendelijk en met het boeken via the Fork scheelt het ook nog 30 %. Goed bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is ok. We komen hier zeker terug en maken een buiging voor Namaste.

Very tasty food here for the first time. We arrived at the last minute around 9:30 PM, but despite that we were still able to eat extensively without feeling rushed. The service was super good, friendly service that we had a good laugh with and very tasty food with a good taste (nice and spicy 🌶️) and the vegetarian options are also filling! We will definitely come back :)

The place is nice and well maintained. And The service is good and quick. The biryani was one of the best I ever ate. The dahl makhni was a little too thick for my liking. The naan and other dishes were good. Would recommend

Gnome drove 🚘 back and stopped by again. Picked up in Namaste without calling or ordering in advance. Lamb Kadai chefs special 😋 and Chicken Korma with puppadums and naan. Pickle and mango chutney. 😋 It was ready in no time and I went home from Namaste. Everything is still warm. Another delicious meal and another half before tomorrow afternoon.😋👍 Today 19 6 24 Kabouter came by again with his bike 🚲 and stepped inside again to take away a delicious meal. When we arrived, no one had arrived yet, but Gnome was early. Delicious Lamb Kadaij (spicy) and Cicken garlic n puppadums and garlic naan and regular naan, with red and green chutney and garlic sauce. Anyway, I took a hot prepared meal with me on the bike and when I got home after half an hour, the meal was still wonderfully warm to eat. Kwebbel and Gnome had a lovely dinner at home.👌👍😋😋

Being hardcover Indian, I can surely confirm they really know what authentic indian taste is!

We had chai and the fish pakora beforehand, which was very nicely seasoned and went well with the chutneys. We also ordered the butter chicken and lamb dhansak, really delicious (also combined!) and definitely recommended!!

Picked up a few dishes for dinner here. Tasted surprisingly well, definitely worth repeating!

Our biggest favorite. Come there regularly to eat. Delicious and everything fresh. Service is also top notch. Also a small restaurant where you can enjoy a quiet meal, good portions. Hope they stick around for a long time!

Delicious food with tasty traditional dishes... a lot of vegetarian dishes. The restaurant doesn't have the nicest appearance from the outside, but inside it is absolutely fine.

We have been coming here since the beginning. We have eaten in many Indian restaurants, but for us this is really the TOP! So far everything we have eaten here has been delicious. Many friends and acquaintances have followed us and they are all very pleased with the food. In addition, they are also very nice people. I look forward to having a nice meal again tonight.

Worst experience in my whole life with Indian food. Would not recommend to have food here if you don't want to get disappointed or in worst case sick. Absolutely not fresh food and definitely not just fresh made in a (tandoori) oven. Seems just to be warmed up in microwave. Not good taste and structure. And for your information. We didn't place any order at your restaurant. We were guests at your restaurant. We came with a few friends and even the Dutch friend who is easily happy with any food found it the worst food experience she ever had in a restaurant. My brother is a chef and knows the difference between fresh food from tandoori or warmed in microwave

Hier staat een echte kok in de keuken.

Tijdens de storm kwam de eigenaar van het restaurant, na sluitingstijd, nog mijn eten bezorgen. Hij was heel vriendelijk en toen ik hem fooi aanbood, weigerde hij het aan te nemen. Hij zei dat ik lekker moest eten. En lekker, het was niet zomaar lekker. Het is het lekkerste Hindoestaanse eten dat ik ooit heb gehad. Ik zit te smullen!

Afgelopen zaterdag met een grote groep gegeten. Eten is ronduit geweldig, veel keuze en alles smaakt even lekker. Goed advies door heel vriendelijke bediening. Zelden zo lekker Indiaas gegeten voor een eerlijke prijs. Jullie zien ons zeker terug!

Vorige week zaterdag voor de 1ste keer kennis gemaakt met dit restaurant. We waren met 4 volwassen en drie kids. Een hele leuke ervaring opgedaan. Eten was heerlijk, ruim aanbod en leuke bediening door een mevrouw. Absoluut een aanrader en ook goed betaalbaar.

Heerlijk gegeten! Onze vaste plek was India Paradise, maar die is gesloten dus op zoek gegaan naar een alternatief. Nou die hebben we gevonden! Goede sfeer, fantastisch eten en hele vriendelijke bediening. Echt voor herhaling vatbaar!

I ordered aalo gobi masala, naan, and salt lassi. Food tasted authentic and was delicious. Great service; food was served pretty fast.

De goede recensies zijn zeker niet overdreven. We hebben onvoorstelbaar heerlijk gegeten en de bediening is er fantastisch! Het was de eerste keer dat we hier hebben gegeten maar ongetwijfeld niet de laatste.
