Golden Tulip Indian Restaurant in Kralingen-Crooswijk

Called several times on August 2. Phone is not answered. Had a reservation at 6:30 PM, when we got there the restaurant was closed. Sent an email but no response. Sent another email last week, but unfortunately received no response. Today I called again 8 times and the connection was lost. You can reserve a table, but then you will arrive in front of a closed door. What a DRAMA. People, think carefully before you want to eat here

We reserved a table for yesterday at 18.00. When we arrived we were told that the restaurant was closed. Unfortunately they didn’t think that it was appropriate to inform their clients. Won’t be going back if it ever opens again.

I wanted to have a nice meal with my family at this restaurant. We had read some reviews and they came out very good. We made an online reservation and also received confirmation that the reservation was made. We traveled for more than an hour to find out from a leaf on their front door that they were on holiday... I wish everyone their holiday, but make sure they have a good "out of office". Didn't experience any of the food and atmosphere due to the fact that they were closed. Do not book online, but give them a call...

Visited them for dinner few days back when was in Rotterdam and looking for Indian food work. Good to book table prior, but as a solo person, could just walk in. They have quite big seating space, but their service is bit slow. Food is okay in taste (as an Indian), may be tweaked for locals. I had some issue in my dessert and they addressed it immediately.

Birthday dinner. Food was tasty. Received the wrong dish due to miscommunication. Nevertheless, the food was delicious.

Service: excellent, friendly, fast service. Food: mediocre, no chicken thigh fillet in the butterchicken and butterchicken on the watery side. Cheesenaan is nice and cheesy. A 5.

We had already ordered here twice and were curious about this Indian restaurant! We had a delicious meal there, lots of flavor and fresh products, the mango lassi was good and the kheer and kulfi desserts were also delicious! We will definitely come back again!

Very good authentic Indian food, large portions and very good price/quality ratio. Nice to see that it seems to be getting busier!

The food is way to salty. All i can taste is salt when i eat here, no matter what dish you choose. I have been here two times now. I regretted going both times.

Staff very friendly and welcoming, food is delicious beyond comparison, drinks are on point atmosphere is not overwhelming or challenging , rather calm and relaxing, great for eating after a long adventure

They take online orders, get a notification that the food will be delivered in 33 minutes. After 45 minutes I go to see where the food is and guess what? Order has been canceled!!! Meanwhile it is already 10:45 PM! Instead of calling nicely so I can order somewhere else, they just make you wait for food that never comes. Antisocial people

Previously had good food, but this week it was really terrible with the home delivered food. Main course was floating in so much oil, a family could cook on it for a week, shame. I had to throw half away because it just wasn't tasty. Perhaps kitchen staff changed?

The mango lassi was SO DELICIOUS! Really fresher and tastier than other Indian restaurants. There are two managers who are very attentive and take good care of the guests. We had dinner here on a Tuesday evening, it was not very busy but still pleasant.

I just had a delicious meal there with the whole family (14 people) and they are lovely, hard-working people who do their best

Ordering online via Uber Eats was not too good. Lots of rice (to fill your stomach), overcooked dry meat and no vegetables. You have to order moon bread separately and it is not included as standard. For €50 it was all very poor. You taste little love in the food. In short, just a business to achieve high margins and the customer is left with the half-filled containers (mainly sauce). We won't do this again.

Magnificent experience in this Indian restaurant! It was a first and I was not disappointed! We were a group of 7 people, including 3 native Indians who confirmed to us that the dishes were quality! Obviously, the level of spiciness is adapted to Europeans. Everything was very good, I highly recommend! ❤️

Update januari 2024 Hier in december 2023 opnieuw gegeten. De kwaliteit is hard achteruit gegaan. De kwaliteit en smaak van het eten is niet meer wat het geweest is. De knoflook in de tandoori gerechten was zo sterk, dat het niet meer lijkt op tandoor gerechten, je de originele smaak niet meer proeft en je haast een afkeer van het gerecht krijgt. De bediening was vriendelijk, maar niet meer zo attent zoals eerder. De sfeer in het restaurant was goed. De toiletruimten zijn echt aan verbetering toe. ------- Indiaas restaurant wat op deze locatie in de plaats is gekomen van Curry's. De bediening is vriendelijk, maar wel wat gehaast. De papadums -on the house- zijn vers en knapperig. We kregen zelfs een 2e portie (!). Vooraf chicken tikka tandoori. Goed van smaak, mals, niet te droog en te zwaar aangebrand. De hoofdgerechten fish massala en butter chicken zijn vrij standaard. Op de salade is wat chaat massala gestrooid, een leuk idee. Kulfi als nagerecht was lekker. De sweet lassi als drank smaakte uitstekend.

Incredible place! First time eating Indian food, and they teach me what to eat and recommend great dishes! If you are not use to eat spicy food, be aware because it could be a little bit! I will come back

Their customer service is really commendable. Food is good . Ambience is good . But the staff is very customer centric and friendly. I have never seen service like this in Rotterdam. Also their paneer dishes are recommended as it’s prepared with fresh paneer as it’s been mentioned to us by a staff member. Negatives- we ordered hara bhara kabab and we got something like achari paneer definitely not a hara bhara kabab . Aloo tikki was quite cold but taste was good. Then the butter chicken was way too much sweet . Also chicken seems to be quite raw. In Aloo gobhi we mentioned it to be spicy but was over cooked with less salt . Very disappointing this time .

The food tonight was amazing. Tikka's and Tandoori were brilliantly made. Very very delicious. Outstanding service and hospitality. Well done Rupak and team. Definitely recommendable.

Nous avons réservé pour 2 personnes le 11/11 sans savoir que le Diwali était le lendemain (restaurant plein et donc très bruyant), donc nous avons assez mal choisi notre jour, MAIS : - On a pris notre commande après plus de 30 minutes - Nous avons attendu encore 15 min après avoir commandé rien que pour les boissons, sans verres... - J'avais pris l'assortiment d'entrées et les pilons de poulet n'étaient pas assez cuits (et nous avons dû demander les couverts et serviettes qu'ils avaient également oubliés) et la serveuse s'est pressée de nous enlever les assiettes pour amener la suite alors que j'avais à peine fini l'entrée - Les plats censés être piquants ne l'étaient pas du tout, alors que lors d'une précédente visite nous avions été conquises pas ces mêmes plats, et je n'avais que 5 petits morceaux de poulet dans mon Tikka Masala 😡 Les plats étaient bons mais pas ce que nous avions commandé, et la quantité de viande était absolument honteuse Très déçue par cette expérience alors que la précédente fut bonne, c'était honteux ! N'acceptez pas les réservations si vous savez que le service sera déplorable par manque de temps/personnel !!

Went for dinner with a friend. We had ordered golden tulip veg snack platter for snacks. As our main course we had ordered paneer tikka masala and roti. Service was alright and timely. Food was also tasty and price worthy. Overall alrighty experience!

Eten was lekker, maar niet dusdanig dat ik nogmaals zou terugkomen. Vooral de service vonden we tegenvallen. Groet je klanten en zorg ervoor dat ze zich welkom voelen.

Take out so no input on service or atmosphere but the butter chicken is WAY too sweet. A sweet soup with 70 grams of chicken in it 😅

Food was good , but the service it was not good at all . I’ve been waiting for 25 minutes only to take my order, I got so frustrated that I went to them to let them know that I was waiting so long , and plus they forgot my drink. I tip them anyway, but I’m not coming back for sure

Goeie host en zeer betrokken bij de service. Ze zijn er telkens op tijd bij bij het afruimen van lege flesjes en dergelijke. Komen niet continue om drinken vragen zoals bij andere restaurant die het als verdienmodel zien. Op tafel is er een knopje en die kun je drukken als je iemand nodig hebt. Zeker een aanrader.

Super lekker en constante kwaliteit. Heerlijk ruimtelijk. Schoon restaurant en smakelijk indisch gegeten.

Voor de vegetarische keuze zijn er tal van heerlijk verse producten en een ware smaaksensaties. Het eten is erg goed en erg lekker. We gaan zeker terug

Eten was best lekker, de sfeer wel redelijk ok, bediening was koel en zakelijk en ongeïnteresseerd .Prijs is gewoon heel goed .Maar zou niet nog is terug gaan. Komt toch door de hele sfeer en bediening . Maar zeker ook geen rot ervaring. Ik was een aantal jaar geleden wel al is geweest, toen was het zeker anders! mogelijk andere eigenaar

Dal makhani, shahee paneer, veg biryani, yogurt and gulab jamun, everything was so authentic and real tasty. Everyone in our group was positive about the taste. I highly recommend it for Indian cuisine.

Je n'ai rien à dire concernant la nourriture. Les plats sont excellents ! Surtout si vous les aimez épicés 🥵 En revanche le service est exécrable, les serveuses discutent entre elles au lieu de préparer les boissons que nous avons attendu près de 30mon après avoir passé commande. Nous avons dû les leur rappeler pour qu'elles soient préparées. Le patron est au petit soin, le plat de ma compagne était trop épicé et il l'a fait changer rapidement.

I am fan of pani puri and authentic way of making it’s water is with water and not with some soda.But we know what’s the difference when you drink lemon water vs lemon soda. Anyways, food was average, service was good and ambience too. I have tried total seven Indian joints in Rotterdam, and found the best one out of all. You can find it under my reviews. Biryani is good. Veg and nonveg options are available. They provide rise with all the dishes.
