We had a great meal through Social Deal. The food was delicious, including the mixed grill and lamb curry. It was early in the evening and still nice and quiet. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Friendly staff.

Visiting Rotterdam on a cruise, with a party of four we dined at 91 Spices. We all experienced excellent food, terrific service, great atmosphere and good value. It was only after I returned to the ship I realised I had left my bag. I contacted the restaurant by email and arranged with the owner to collect it the following day, despite the restaurant not opening being Monday. Special thanks to Mohamed for making this possible, he went above and beyond. I will definitely visit this fantastic restaurant on my next visit to Rotterdam.

The food was more or less okay, but we felt we had to hurry because within five minutes, we were asked three times if we had ordered yet, even though the kitchen was still open for another half hour. When we confronted them about this, the staff started arguing very loudly and in broken Dutch. It was an embarrassing situation. The dish arrived fairly quickly, but it turned out to be the wrong one. Another argument. Then I was done with it and left. I wouldn't go back. Besides, I've never seen such a dirty toilet before.

We order from here regularly, but the service is deteriorating. We've had to wait over an hour and a half for our food several times. While we're waiting, it's almost impossible to reach anyone or check the status of our order. Our last order was extremely long, and when it finally arrived, it was cold due to the late delivery. It's a shame, but we won't be ordering from here again this way.

Delivery is on average 90 minutes late. When phoning to enquire, you are lucky if someone answers the phone. If they do answer, you are put on hold indefinitely. Do not order from here if you expect to eat at a planned time.

Overpriced menu without any premium feeling, lamb had no flavor but the sauce was good. The atmosphere doesn't commit to anything. Service was lacking, the electronic ordering system doesn't seem to be working great. I don't recommend in its current state.

The food was quite disappointing and didn’t resemble authentic Indian cuisine. The Tandoori Paneer lacked flavour and the vegetable curry was overly sweet. The samosa and homemade kulfi were okay, but nothing remarkable. Additionally, the service was noticeably slow. Overall, not a very enjoyable dining experience.

Hmmm, I think we picked a bad day. It smelled wonderful upon entering, which was great. But then it quickly started to deteriorate. The man who greeted us and showed us to the place was very chaotic and actually unfriendly. It's also not entirely clear what language is being spoken. Eventually, it was a sort of English. We were given a spot near the restroom. Not a big deal, but it doesn't help. The design/interior features a lot of concrete, which contributes to a cacophony of noise, as it's pleasantly busy. The place was definitely not clean. Cobwebs and dust everywhere on the floor. The waitstaff started timidly in English until she asked if it was also possible to speak in Dutch. That was actually strange. She was friendly, but not confident and, moreover, not really knowledgeable about the dishes. Ordering food is done digitally, which works perfectly well, except if you're not really aware of what's available. In that case, I'd actually prefer to speak to someone. Towards the end of the evening (around 9:30 PM, I think) the music started. It was loud, and the speakers were DAP (cheap junk). There was no music for the rest of the evening. The food was really delicious, which is, of course, the most important thing. All in all, I think we came at a bad time. The place wasn't clean, and the staff wasn't at their best. But the food was good. Oh...and the dessert I'd chosen was no longer available!

Upon entering, my first impression was okay. We were seated near the kitchen, and I immediately noticed that the windows to the kitchen looked dirty. Not ideal for a kitchen. First, of the four drinks we ordered, one arrived that we hadn't ordered. We reported this, and the drink was brought to us, but no new one was brought. Ultimately, I went to the bar myself. The sound is indeed very loud; a child was screaming loudly, which was quite disturbing at one point. I don't think the staff could have done anything about it at that moment. I ordered my food using a tablet. It was brought to the table quickly. The taste was good. I didn't see anyone ask if everything was to my liking. After a while, I ordered some coffee, which was also delivered quickly, but again, no questions were asked. A visit to the restroom is also quite a strange experience. They have a light in the toilet on the back wall that doesn't shine beyond the back shelf. The rest of the toilet is dark. I finally asked for the bill via the tablet, but no one came to ask. So I ended up walking to the bar, which was overflowing with glasses that needed washing. There were buckets and cleaning supplies everywhere, but they hadn't been used; it was a complete mess behind the bar. In conclusion, I would never go there again just for the food. The price-quality ratio isn't good.

I didn't like the food; it had a lot of sauce, which was tasty, and only 4 pieces of chicken with rice. You have to order naan bread separately. Pricey for what you get. The service was poor, with long waits for drinks. And I didn't think the kitchen, windows, or bar were clean.

Highly recommended!!! The food was incredibly delicious – each curry had its own unique character and was truly well-seasoned. The butter chicken made everyone drool. And there's a wide selection of vegetarian dishes, which were, again, incredibly flavorful! The service was also top-notch, so definitely worth a visit!!

Used to love this place but the restaurant has completely changed. The service and food were extremely disappointing + the atmosphere is everything but inviting.

The food is good, but the service is extremely disappointing. We placed an early order for work. Initially, we ordered online, but suddenly it said delivery wasn't possible. We called and they said they didn't have a delivery driver. After 10 minutes, they called again (on their advice), and they said they did have a delivery driver. We ended up ordering through Uber Eats, but the prices are higher there and no free naan. We're still waiting for our order. We've been waiting at least an hour and a half.

It's a shame they don't deliver on their promises. I ordered food that was supposed to be delivered an hour later. After an hour and a half, I called again. No one answered the phone. Finally, someone answered the phone and said the food was on its way. After 45 minutes, I called again. I tried eight times, but no one answered or hung up. We sent an email asking for a refund. Meanwhile, a woman delivered the food after waiting for two and a half hours. Dear 91spices: if it's too busy, don't make false promises. We're enjoying other food in the meantime. You can keep the order.

My all-time favorite restaurant! I've tried Indian food everywhere, but 91 Spices remains my absolute favorite. I take everyone here. Delicious food, a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, and always super friendly and great service! 10/10, I recommend it to everyone!

For starters we had samosa and chicken which were good. For the main course we had the paneer kofta and veg kurma. The curry's are extremely sweet, and not authentic to the Indian taste. The dessert (paneer cheesecake) was okish, nothing special about it. The place has a good ambience though.

Bad food and service at the tables!! This is not how you treat the customers! Food was cold and they dont communicate.

The ambience and location are excellent. The food was average, and the menu variety could be improved. The service was very slow and disappointing (for example, the dessert took more than 30 minutes to arrive as the staff seemed to have forgotten about it). It seems the number of staff is simply not enough to serve a restaurant of this size. I strongly urge the owners to look into these aspects.

As soon as you enter, you can already smell the 91spices atmosphere. The space is a bit concrete and therefore a bit noisy because conversations echo across the tables. Orders are placed smoothly via a sort of iPad on the tables, and they are served promptly. We had delicious vegetarian meals with generous portions and delicious ice cream for dessert. With the drinks, the final bill was pleasantly low. It's a shame there were two birthday parties at the same time that were occasionally quite noisy, but that was just a coincidence.

Waited 45 Mins to be seated although we had a reservation and were told it would “only take 2 Mins”. After that we waited 90 Mins for our food. They also forgot to set the table and the drinks arrived after we finished the food. People around us also kept complaining and waiters and managers constantly had to go to each table to apologize. Food was good but also way too expensive. Overall it was very disappointing because it was a well received restaurant in the city center that has great potential with its ambiance and food. What was that?

We've been sitting there since 8:00 PM and still haven't had anything, not even a drink. We asked the staff three times and were told each time it would be served in two minutes... nothing until 9:35 PM.

We waited 10 minutes to be seated on the table, keeping in my mind that the restaurant was almost empty. And we asked for non spicy food because we have a baby and we made sure several times to them to not make spicy food, but the food came spicy that even we the adult could not eat it.

We had Indian food delivered to our home, we love their restaurant and at,atmosphere its really cozy. This time with 2 elderly ladies 88 year young (they love Indian food)we decided to eat in the comfort of our home. The vindaloo was hot as it should be, but not too, the meat was tender. The butter-chicken was nicely flavoured, creamy its my fav dish. Kerala prawn sour and sweet with lovely coconut taste. The mixed is also one not to be missed…actually i only saw smiling faces at the table. What i do like about ordering in through their website they always add some extra a mango lassie in pur case. I love it. Btw 91 species is the only place i took my Indian colleagues ( and the loved it as well) to but for the food and the vibe in the restaurant.

Ordering on a tablet creates distance

Went there with my office colleagues. Personally, it's the best Indian food I have had in Rotterdam. Excellent meat dishes - full of taste and flavours. Their Vegan starter is also awesome. One thing I really liked was that they didn't really water down all the spice. The spice was exactly on the level of how normal Indian homes cook. :)

Unbelievable. The takeout order was supposed to be ready at 6 p.m. It still had to be made when I arrived at 6 p.m. I initially received food from another customer? Because I checked the receipt first and thought, "This isn't right," I went back, and it turned out it was indeed a mistake. The restaurant was "busy" (half empty, but when you have two people serving/working the bar, it's busy, right?")... I finally got my food at 6:35 p.m. I was supposed to receive extra food. When I got home, that wasn't the case; in fact, the contents of the Social Deal meal seemed incomplete. Also strange: you had to buy two vouchers for two rijsttafels, which we did, but the amount you received was really small compared to the price. I'll never go to 91 Spices again. And I'll never use Social Deal again either.

I ordered from here, but the food arrived over an hour later than stated. When I called half an hour after the expected delivery time, I was told the delivery driver was stuck and my order was already on its way. This turned out to be completely untrue. The delivery driver who finally showed up admitted he'd only picked up the food fifteen minutes earlier and had been told to hurry. In short: my order probably hadn't even been started until I called. The food itself was fine, but the poor communication and the long wait made for a less than pleasant experience.

We ordered through Social Deals. We'd checked earlier and wanted to pick up the order at 5:00 PM. An hour later, we decided to actually place the order (this was around 3:00 PM), but we couldn't pick it up until 6:45 PM. Upon arrival, we were told they were starting and we had to wait another fifteen minutes. We waited at the bar, but no drinks were offered. After half an hour of waiting, a woman came to ask what we'd ordered and under what name. Of course, this had already been indicated upon arrival. Five minutes later, we asked for drinks ourselves. This didn't go entirely smoothly; we received the wrong one, but that was corrected. The food arrived after forty-five minutes. We didn't pay extra for drinks, so that was definitely a plus. However, when we got home, the order turned out to be incorrect. We'd ordered vegetarian and chicken. The chutneys were missing, unfortunately; we especially missed the mint chutney. Besides chicken, we also had shrimp and lamb. A lot of rice, two bowls, and another two bowls of rice with vegetables. The flavor was good, and we also liked the lamb and shrimp, but it wasn't what we ordered. Regarding the rice, we think it was for four people, but the butter chicken came in two containers, so it was probably also meant for four. In short, everything went wrong with our order. The staff was friendly but not assertive. It tasted good, but the whole experience was disappointing due to the long wait and the incorrect delivery.

Don't do it! We had a reservation, but they were overbooked. Twenty people couldn't get a table. The staff reacted irritably and could only say "just wait, just wait" without any time indication. Thirty minutes after our reservation time, there were still several people ahead of us. We left. It was a shame.

A really nice spot, right in the heart of Rotterdam, yet wonderfully peaceful inside. Delicious food and drinks, and super friendly staff! Definitely recommended.

Ordered food that was supposed to be delivered at 5:45. At 6:00, still no food. I called to ask where my food was, and they said it was on its way and would be there within 10 minutes. Fast forward half an hour later, still no food. I called again, and the food was still in the warming cabinet. This has happened several times now. We will not be ordering food from here again!

A nice place to eat in Blaak, although you have to search a bit to find it. Despite that, it was quite full, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The service is relaxed, perhaps a little too relaxed. We were given bread at the table, but without sauces. After asking for them, they didn't arrive until we'd already eaten half of the bread and it was dry. The appetizer samosas were tasty, but far too large in portions—one portion was more than enough for two people. The main courses tasted good. Paying took a very long time; no one came around. I won't comment on the restrooms. The food was fine, the service could be better.

Bad service, absolutely no customer service. I had a reservation for takeout. I came to pick up my order, and they made me wait 45 minutes. I had to constantly ask how far along they were with my order. They weren't at all concerned with the customer or that I had to wait so long. A time was agreed upon, and I arrived on time. When I spoke to another employee about the order, saying something was unclear and the order was incorrect, I got a rude response. According to the employee, "We didn't understand anything, so sorry, where is this going?" No one apologized, apparently they're used to making customers wait 45 minutes. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won't. It's a shame it had to be this way; it's a waste of money.

I placed my order before 17:00 and selected a preferred expected delivery time frame. The food was meant to be delivered between 18:45-19:15 and the food only arrived at 20:08…. My tip is always order the food with expected delivery time being as soon as possible. Then you have hope eating on time you hope. Or maybe place the delivery time an hour before you really want to eat.

I've been here a few times before, in 2024. Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. The food was still really good – full of flavor and authentic Indian. No complaints there. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story. We were served by different employees, which caused a lot of confusion. One said the kulfi was gone, while another put two kulfis on the receipt anyway. I had to ask for my chai four times, and when it finally arrived, it tasted awful. The table was also cleared far too late after the appetizer; it was still completely full when the main course was served. Everything was mixed up, and it felt very chaotic. One employee honestly admitted that the owner had given three staff members the day off at the last minute. The people who were there were running around like crazy – visibly overworked. A shame, because the kitchen is excellent. But the service was sloppy and disorganized. With better planning and customer focus, this restaurant could really earn many more stars.

The food is fantastic. Way too much for two people over 65. Luckily, we were allowed to take the leftovers home. It takes some getting used to ordering with a tablet. The decor is modern and doesn't exude a truly Indian atmosphere. But the food makes up for a lot.

The food was okay, I've had better. The butter chicken had too much peanut flavor. The appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks were delicious. The interior atmosphere is very good, cheerful, and quite chic. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Well, I can hardly describe it, food has absolutely no taste, because you only taste herbs, and mango lasi 4 euros they bring it in a small cup half full with ice cubes, literally after 4 sips the cup was empty

I had a reservation for 6:00 PM, which gives a 30% discount. There's no further explanation on the website, and you don't get any further explanation in the restaurant either. Only at the very end does the truth come out: it's only 30% off food, not drinks. When I ask what that's based on, I get no further explanation, but the immediate answer is no, then no discount. I asked a simple question, and the immediate response was a sharp one. The bar was full of used glasses, and I had to wait a long time for drinks. I ended up having to get them myself at the bar. The staff is disinterested and curt. Only Komal and Sona are lovely ladies. The men are rushed and spill their drinks. The food is all the same kind of sauce mixed with meat, fish, or vegetarian. The meat is dry. When you ask what the dish is, you don't get a clear answer. The restroom is dirty, and the restaurant has no atmosphere. I definitely won't be recommending it to my friends, family, or on social media. We'll never go back to 91 Spices!

I've been coming from Belgium several times a year for seven years, and I've always received good service and eaten well! The manager (who was there during the COVID crisis) was great! Today we traveled all the way (200 km) to eat there. We had made a reservation, and upon arrival, we received a very poor reception. We were made to cross the restaurant to return to the table near the entrance. We were asked to follow and then wait. Two colleagues passed us around. We ended up being seated as if we were extras and hadn't booked a table. The food was good, as usual. But the garlic naan was reheated, lukewarm, and flavorless. Usually, they fill the table with aromas. The service was terrible tonight. I told my husband it was my last time. I made the trip because this restaurant was worth it. He wants to give it another chance. We'll see.

Doesn’t deserve more than one star

We had a delicious meal. It was quite busy, which is a good sign. It was a shame we couldn't get tea at 9:50 PM because the bar, located in front of the kitchen, was already closed. It did appear on our bill, but that was resolved promptly.

The meat was tough, with a lot of unnecessary pepper and burnt chicken and naan. The cutlery wasn't clean. Stomach ache afterward. We won't be doing this again, ever. A waste of money.

We ordered a social deal. + points - Service was very fast - Food was generally tasty and fun to try - Points or areas for improvement: - They forgot the Raita (I read a complaint about that before) - It felt more like a sampler package than a real discount on the full price (meat trays were on the small side) - Rice was on the soft side. Die Lage ist gut, das Essen ist recht ordentlich. Nur mit der Technik des Bestellens über Tablets wird man allein gelassen. Mit über 75 Jahren ist das ja alles nicht so einfach. Das Beste aber war, dass die junge Dame, die sich endlich unserer erbarmte selbst damit nicht klar kam. Ansonsten schleppender Service, insbesondere am Schluss, als es darum ging, das schmutzige Geschirr abzuräumen. Insgesamt gab es viel zu wenig Personal.

What a wonderful surprise! Tonight we enjoyed a delicious meal at 91 Spices. The food was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was immediately pleasant, with pleasant Indian music playing in the background, creating a warm and authentic experience. The modern decor is truly beautiful and stylish, and the service was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. Another great feature was ordering via the iPad – very clear and convenient, allowing you to browse the menu at your leisure and choose what you'd like. On top of that, the location is also stunning: right next to the Oude Haven (Old Port), which made it even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Indian food in a beautiful setting!

We picked up some food. The naan bread was as tough as rubber. The food was okay, but nothing special compared to other similar restaurants. The worst part is that they charge €0.50, or 0.50 cents per container. We had 10 containers and then had to pay a whopping €5 extra. Disproportionate. Of course, they don't take back the plastic containers.

Extremely bad service. Ordered food from 91 spices through uber eats. Restaurant says order received and wrapping up. But the order never arrived. Tried reaching out to restaurant but they not answering the call wih registered mobile number, when called from another number they are trying to avoid the call saying we will call back. Didn't receive the call back as well from their side. Highly unprofessional.

Delicious food and exemplary service. Komal and Kajal gave the best introduction to the indian cuisine. I can definitely recommend.

Customer facing employees here neither know how to treat people nor have integrity. What happened to the days where being honest to customer actually meant something. Nearly 2.5 hours to deliver an order, the employee named Kajal lies to customers outright and doesn’t hesitate to bullshit. The managers are equally responsible for not training them or taking customer service seriously. This was such a huge disappointment itself let alone the ridiculous food.

Recently visited with my wife and our teenage daughter and ordered the mixed starter, lamb jalafai, shrimps, nan, and mixed desserts. The food was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening after shopping in Rotterdam. While the alcoholic beverages seemed a bit expensive, the mocktails offered excellent value. I would recommend giving it a try.

Dalmakhni has lot of tomato with sweet taste , this is not the way you make dal makhni , it spoilt my taste of Dalmakhni , i dont want to eat dal makhni from 91 spices ever again.

My daughter ordered here via Uber because I was visiting. Butter chicken, cheese naan, plain naan and lamb vindaloo. Unfortunately it arrived very late (we didn't mind that). But I'm eating vegetarian today and only ordered a plain naan (I brought vegetables from home). Upon delivery and unpacking: no plain naan and I had to wait a very long time for that. The rice was very dry (just like brown rice). The others thought the vindaloo tasted sour (too much tomato puree) tough lamb mixed with overcooked meat and the butter chicken also tasted different according to my daughter, too much tomato. Got money back for the naan but we were still disappointed. You wait a long time and still something is missing. A joint check (restaurant and delivery person) and packing at the counter, for example, could save people a lot of hassle and result in more satisfied customers.

We had an amazing Meal here, spicyness was on point and the flavor profile was exceptional. Unfortunately the service was not attentive and slow in terms of getting a waitress or waiter to your table for questions or refillings. Maybe there is a proper explanation - I don’t know. At the end we were billed a water that we did not order. We noticed and then it was corrected but I have no idea how that is possible when you order with a tablet… be carful please. Food was nice though.

Poor hygiene! Glasses and plates were stained with greasy finger marks. Service staff extremely ignorant and incompetent, refused to acknowledge the dirty glasses. 20 mins to get a new glass! On top of that, the restaurant closes kitchen without the staff informing the customers. Ordered an item, 10 mins later waiter comes over and says “you wont be getting it, our kitchen is closed”. An honest waste of money and time!

First of all, I have to say that the service isn't great! They could sell a lot more drinks. The staff isn't trained... a shame! Since I'm often in South India for work, I have to say: Authentic food... but not too hot.

First time eating dinner here and it was great! The service was pleasant and fast. The food was very tasty and the portions were good. Full of flavor and spices, definitely worth repeating!

Overrated experience with little allure Last Thursday I had dinner together at 91Spices, a restaurant that raises high expectations due to its reputation, but unfortunately does not live up to them. The atmosphere upon entering was immediately disappointing: the restaurant echoed enormously, causing conversations from other tables to come in loudly. The sound literally went through the marrow. What further disrupted the experience were two young children (approximately 2 to 4 years old) who were screaming loudly and constantly. Of course I understand that families also want to eat out, and children are just children, but at a restaurant where you pay a considerable amount, you expect some comfort and peace. The staff did not intervene, understandably, but I think that restaurants should have a clear policy on this. Just to be clear: I love children, but not when they disrupt the dining experience so much. Upon arrival, we were neatly guided to our place, where we had to place our order via a tablet. I found that impersonal and also restrictive: not all dishes were available and adjustments were not possible. For a restaurant with this price range, I do expect personal contact. We ordered a mango lassi and ginger ale. The mango lassi was small and was served in a simple jar, see the attached photo for illustration. It felt meager. As a starter, we had the lamb and chicken kebab. Unfortunately, these arrived lukewarm, and the presentation was not appetizing. You could see congealed butter or cheese in the bowl, not attractive. The chicken kebab was also bone dry and we had to make an effort to reach the staff for a chutney to go with it, something that should be standard. The portion size was fine, but the food had clearly been in a warming tray for a while. Then the main course came, much too soon after the starter, which gave us the feeling that we had to eat as quickly as possible and leave again. As if we were at some kind of Indian fast food chain. My vindaloo, a dish that I often order, was surprisingly sweet in taste, a huge disappointment. This dish is supposed to be spicy and spicy, not sweet. The tandoori mix was again lukewarm, without smoke or hissing sound, a missed experience. Everything tasted bland and uninspired. The accompanying basmati rice was served generously, that must be said. The aloo matar (potato and pea curry) was also bland and lukewarm. We ended up taking both main courses home and seasoning them ourselves. We were inside for a total of an hour, but got the strong impression that speed was more important than experience or quality. 91Spices feels like an overhyped place that relies mainly on appearance and reputation, not on taste, service or ambiance. The price-quality ratio is not right, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired and the food was substandard on several points. Unfortunately for us, not worth repeating.

Didn’t even attend us for 10 min at the door

Stopped by on a Monday evening. We were welcomed with a complementary papadum w/ (1) mint dip & (2) mango dip. The papadum was tasty. We did not like the mint and mango dips. You order your food & beverages through a tablet. You also use the tablet to ask for extra cutlery or the bill. We ordered the mixed meat platter to share. The mixed meat platter includes: 2x samosa, 2x onion bhaji, 2x half a chicken sheekh kebab, 2x half a lamb sheekh kebab and 4x chicken wings. The samosa was tasty. The onion bhaji was tasty too, but arrived cold. The meat (sheekh kebabs and chicken wings) were not warm. It was as if they had been plated in advance. The sheekh kebabs were seasoned well. The lamb sheekh kebab was quite spicy. Our mains were the lamb rogan josh (light spicy), the lamb madras (medium spicy) and the bread basket. The lamb in the curry was boneless mutton. Lamb is quite tender. Mutton is much tougher in comparison. Both curries were tasty. The rogan josh tasted more earthy. The madras tasted more tangy. The bread basket includes a variety of bread. 3 breads chosen by the chef. Our breads were (1) aloo paratha, (2) butter naan and (3) garlic naan. The aloo paratha was quite spicy. I did not like it, but my partner did. The butter naan was my favourite. It was thin and crispy and slathered in butter. Service could have been better. The servers were not that attentive. We asked for extra serviettes twice and they only brought them over when we no longer needed them. (When they arrived, we had finished our meal and already washed our hands in the bathroom.) We accidentally ordered 2 bread baskets and immediately rectified it. Server 1 communicated it to the kitchen. And, server 2 amended our order in their system. But, when server 3 brought us the bill, we were still charged for 2 bread baskets - even though we had only had 1. The bathroom was clean, but very dark. I would not order the mixed meat platter again. Mostly because it arrived lukewarm. I would order their curry again. Not one of the best curries I have ever had, but definitely not one of the worst. My current favourite curry by this restaurant is the butter chicken. __________ Old review ⬇️ Ordered the mango lassie, samosa and butter chicken via Uber Eats. The food was supposed to be delivered between 4.45 and 5.00. And, it arrived (> 1 hr later) at 6.05. When the food arrived, the samosa and butter chicken had cooled down. I had to pop both in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The butter chicken was very good. I did not enjoy the samosa and mango lassie. If you order via Uber Eats, please bear in mind that they take a very long time to deliver your food. (I ordered my food at 4.00 and it did not arrive until after 6.00.) And, they do not update the tracker (estimated time of delivery) on the Uber Eats app. __________ Old review ⬇️ Ordered the butter chicken. Rice was included. The butter chicken was very tasty. The chicken was soft and tender. However, my curry also had a lot of chicken skin, bones and cartilage - which I did not like. If you are picking up a takeaway, do not use the main entrance (which leads to the restaurant). Instead take the same door as the delivery men.

Just not authentic all sauces seem to have the same base and the chicken is slippery and almost transparent. The papadums are already on the table for the next shift and even for the next day!!! Too bizarre for words that there are people who think this is the best Indian restaurant Hahaha

Whenever I go out to eat with special people or have something special to celebrate, I always book at 91 Spices. I just love everything about this place: the ambiance, the food, the cocktails. For birthdays, they even give out free chocolate lava cakes, which I absolutely love! The only thing I’ve noticed is that the flavors and seasoning can vary a bit. One time the food is really rich and delicious, and another time it leans more toward sour and spicy. Especially with the butter chicken, sometimes it has that sweet touch, which I personally prefer, and other times it’s more sharp in flavor. And not only the butter chicker, but also with other dishes. I assume it might be due to different chefs being in the kitchen on different days, or perhaps there isn’t one fixed chef following a standard recipe each time. STILL, the overall experience keeps me coming back. It’s a place I truly enjoy whenever I want to celebrate something special, big or small.

Absolutely amazing food, I'll definitely come back to this place. The staff is kind and the service is nice and quick.

Ate here for the first time tonight, and wow! What flavor explosions 😍 literally all the food was super tasty! The drinks & desserts were also delicious. Service was super friendly & everything looked nice and clean. We will definitely come back! (p.s. portions are quite large, but they give it to everyone to take home so they don't throw anything away! So we also have delicious food tomorrow, really great)

Nice place. We made reservations for 5:00 online and for that you received 30% off your food.. not total ticket. Food was tasty. We had a small issue which was addressed quickly and comfortably. Butter chicken had nice spice, could have been spicier but was tasty as it was. Will go back if ever in Rotterdam again

Service was very poor, lacked attention to the customer, We had to use the same plate for our meal we had used for our poppadoms. I am vegetarian and my food was not hot in temperature. It came on a sizzling hot plate, but unfortunately, the plate was only warm, Would i go again? Sadly no 👎

Food was ok. But something can really happen to the air in the restaurant. At one point, everyone in the restaurant had to cough because of the smoke-like smell stuck in our throats. Furthermore, the food came quickly, but explanation and friendliness could have been better.

I have been coming to 91 Spices for years and it is always a great experience! The food is always delicious, fresh and full of flavour. The dishes are prepared with care and the spices are perfectly matched. The service is always friendly and makes you feel welcome. Our absolute favorites are the Chicken Madras and the Butter Chicken – both dishes are truly a taste explosion! If you like Indian food, 91 Spices is definitely recommended. It is a place where you will happily return again and again

Heerlijke smaak variaties. We hebben genoten van een mix aan vleesgerechten vooraf. Als hoofdgerecht curry met naanbrood. Een toetje lukte helaas niet, want wij zaten vol van al het lekkere eten. Een munt thee was een goed alternatief.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Our first experience was mainly the taste explosions of herbs. It was so delicious we would love to eat there again. The butter chicken was my favorite.

Last Tuesday I went to 91 Spices for dinner with a friend. The Indian one is full of color and herbs and is deliciously spicy! As a starter we chose a mixed starter with samosas, chicken and lamb kebabs, wings🍗 and bhajis. Wonderful to taste a little bit of everything. Then we continued for the main course chicken jalfrezi and madras king prawn 🍤. Finally, dessert couldn't be missed and because we were enjoying the tasting, we opted for a grand dessert. Enjoy 😍
