NAP Amsterdam in IJburg Zuid

No doubt the best in IJburg. Excellent food and sevice. From just a drink and snacks to full lunch or dinner. Personnel incredibly friendly.

Since most restaurants in the area close their kitchens at 8:00 PM, we tried this restaurant for the first time. It was a very pleasant surprise: excellent service, professional and friendly staff who were attentive, and generous and delicious dishes. The beef was cooked to perfection, and the fries were homemade. The prices are high, as is typical in Amsterdam, but we will definitely return.

Perfect place for some drinks with friends

Angus burger, lovingly and attractively served on a wooden board, was a bit too raw for my taste and the fries too greasy, but the staff was very friendly and it was a nice place to eat.

Very nice place. The atmosphere and musical vibe rimes with jazz and lounge. The staff gives their fullest to accomodate you as a customer. The food... oh the food! One of the best dishes were the Spicy Gambas (Gambas á ajillo of sorts). The mix of tomato really enhanced the spicy flavour! Clearly a 5 of 5!

Nice place with good food! The atmosphere is very nice and the speakers play both jazz and Dire Straits. Recommended!

We came here every evening for a nightcap during our stay at the neighboring hotel. Absolutely fair prices, full glasses, and excellent, courteous, and friendly service. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was delicious - we had the roasted garlic soup, the pickles salmon (perfection) and the Celeriac carpaccio. Everything was carefully done. The service was lovely and the waiter and waitress were friendly and played along helping us to practice our broken dutch. A must of you ask me.

Before we took the boat back and forth to Pampus, we had a drink and some bitterballen. It was delicious and went quickly.

I had the soup of the day (bell pepper). It was delicious and hearty. Good place to work. The attendants are friendly, positive and attentive. I liked it 👍🏼 You may sit outside too. It's warm and lovely when the sun's out.

We really enjoyed ourselves at NAP in IJburg. Everything was great: the food was delicious, really prepared with care and full of flavour. The service was perfectly balanced: friendly, attentive and at the right moments a check if everything is to your liking, without being pushy. The atmosphere was warm and light, with a nice, relaxed look. The location itself is also beautiful. Really recommended, we will definitely come back!

Good customer service with a smile, and the extra mile. Chairs are not that comfortable for a short person, just too high and a bit hard. Menu had nice bites and starters, the main courses did not really have recommendations for me. The special off the day did! Lentil soup was mediocre, the salmon with shrimps as a main course was very tasty and for dessert a nice vanilla ice cream with a syrup. You could sit inside in the sun. Maybe turn the table a bit, then no one has sun in their eyes. And you could talk, no annoying screaming music and you could For a bite to eat with a view of the boats definitely a nice one!

The service is amazing, the best restaurant in this neighborhood. We went there twice during our stay, and they have great vegetarian as well as meat/fish dishes.

We recently really enjoyed a dinner with 100 guests to celebrate something. I found it very impressive how everything went; great service, delicious food and everything ran smoothly. I give NAP a big ten!

Delicious, welcoming and there is always something new to try on the daily menu and of course the usuals are also very tasty. Service is top notch and the waiters very knowledgeable and friendly! Love coming every now and then

Used to come here weekly for 3 years for bites and drinks and sometimes work, got surprised with rudeness of staff that were always friendly that we are not allowed to work after certain hour before that being communicated before, honestly disappointed what a great lovely place has become

Objectively equipped restaurant with a small, sufficient menu. Service is very friendly and fast, the food tastes very good, but compared to German standards it is significantly more expensive, but that is typical for Amsterdam.

Very unfriendly, rude, unprofessional and rude service! I went there in the morning to work, drink coffee and have breakfast. I had clearly indicated that I needed an electrical outlet and an internet connection. The employee indicated where the sockets were located and shared the WiFi password with me (without specifying lower or upper case letters). However, I couldn't find the sockets he mentioned. So I asked him for help twice, but he didn't even bother to come to me. It wasn't until the third time that he came, and then he said he couldn't get down on his knees because the socket was all the way under the sofa. In the end I didn't find it and I sat somewhere else. In addition, he was also unwilling to help find the correct network and password - the password he gave turned out to be wrong. When I indicated that I could not work here and therefore could not stay put, he responded very rudely with: “You haven't had a good day, have you? You go away!” I have never experienced such rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and rude catering staff! One star is too kind for him. Fortunately, there are enough nice cafes and restaurants on IJburg that you will never go there again.

Delicious and very creative vegan options on the menu. A bit overpriced but I guess that’s inevitable in this city. I would just say: keep on innovating - it’s much appreciated!

We are regular customers for a long time and have always loved the Nap space, but at 6 pm today one of the staff asked us to put away our laptops because the working hours were over and it looked bad to everyone else. Although we always order food in addition to work and wanted to stay for dinner, unfortunately it was not a good experience at all and it was very disappointing.

Nice modern place with a super nice guy behind the bar and in the kitchen. Nice presence, good humor, absolutely great. Excellent beers on tap and in the bottle, excellent to end a Wednesday sports evening. Relaxed atmosphere, not too busy and an excellent brown fruit bowl.

We came here on Saturday for a convivial get together in a group of 6, knowing it was famous for its burgers. Jin our friend behind the bar looked after us well and the food did not disappoint. I had sate ayam which is up there with my Indonesian mum’s home recipe. And that’s saying a lot! 😁 Compliments to the chef! My friends had burgers and the duck special. I didn’t drink but my husband enjoyed a light red and my friends enjoyed beer. All in all a lovely night out with perfect ambient lighting and background music not too overbearing. My only comment would be that I sat on the outside of the table and I got knocked a few times on my chair possibly because the tables are close together. Would have preferred a seat looking out at the main section of the restaurant which I found out later was beautifully laid out with gorgeous flower arrangements -details I love as a gardener and plant lover. I include a photo of my delicious chocolate fondant dessert. Thank you NAP ! Highly recommend. 🧡

Had a wonderful evening, good atmosphere. The evening is complete, especially because of the delicious “Kicks YumYum dessert” This chef should get a salary increase!! Nap is definitely recommended.

The entrecote was delicious and the service was good and very helpful and nice. Nice view of the harbor from the restaurant.

We opted for the daily special, slowly cooked veal tenderloin with a delicious gravy and excellent fries. A glass of delicious Italian wine completed the dish. So a wonderful evening.

Still a pub that was still open after 11pm. Pleasant occasion.

I ordered a rib eye steak, which cost about €30. The taste was acceptable, and the sauce was not too sour and salty. After eating, I ordered a mousse with some crushed biscuits and berry jam. The taste was okay, but The taste is not too impressive. The waiter was very polite, but the big waiter in the store only had a few services. I tried to call the waiter many times but got no response.

The Bavette was really not tasty. Lots of tendons and almost well done. The béarnaise sauce very thick and sour. Fries with way too much salt. Let the customer add salt to his fries himself. Of course we reported this to the staff but nothing was done about it. Disappointing NAP!

We were at the NAP IJburg at the weekend as a closed group - with 86 people! We had the restaurant to ourselves - we ordered the food in advance (choose from three main courses and two desserts). Everything went really well, we had a lot of very friendly and attentive staff. Drinks came promptly. The food was very good, tasty and beautifully presented. Everything went smoothly and everyone knew what they were doing. We placed the order in English or Dutch. Many thanks to the great team, we felt really comfortable!

I hope they improve the menu and quality of the food, as the location is good. Eggs were overcooked, grilled chicken smelled a bit, and smashed avocado had too much lemon, but bread was great. They can take a look at the menu/service of these places to get inspired by them: "The cottage", "Café Nieuw Amsterdam" and "Vinnies".

Best place in IJburg. Food is super fresh and the friendly staff makes us feel at home.

Dear NAP, Yesterday a friend and I ordered and ate the satay ayam from both of you. The taste was fine, but he and I soon noticed undercooked pieces in the chicken thigh satay. We didn't eat it completely and reported it to the staff. As compensation we were offered 2 x coffee and an extra portion of fries. We also received an apology afterwards and a full explanation of the cooking process with the guarantee that it was really safe! However, we both got sick the next night and day, with nausea and stomach flu. So advice: the cooking method does not work and in the future prepare the chicken in a different way! Henry

We went here for a date and had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is very cozy and good looking, nice view from windows, music is tasteful. We ordered black angus burgers and loved every bite! The food was so fresh, crispy oven bun and juicy insides. Also, the portion size is quite big - but just right! We had a couple rounds of drinks and one dessert and all of it was 80€. It’s worth it! Will definitely come back.

We ate very well (avocado toast, on super soft country bread), accompanied by a local beer recommended by the room manager. I highly recommend !

Centrally located coffee joint at IJburg with neighborhood focus. Nice view at the mini harbor. Despite opening quite early, there's no breakfast, or anything else before 11 am, and staff clearly matches the morning mood. Clean toilets.

Excellent brunch place. Went there twice for breakfast during out 2 day stay. The chef puts care into his trade and that reflects in the food. Thank you for having me and I will return. Recommendation: Salmon Avocado Toast with and a poached Egg.

I asked if they had Gluten Free beer. Waiter: "No one has ever asked for that before!" Myself: "Oh, too bad, but I feel a bit left out." Waiter: "But you can stay inside."

Came for breakfast with a friend, pastry offered on the menu seemed like purchased from a supermarket. Could not get waiter’s attention to place an order or to pay the bill after, she seemed to be doing her best trying to ignore all the guests. Such a pity, because the location is super nice!

We went to N.A.P. to celebrate my father's birthday. We all loved it. We had a wonderful time. Delicious food and lovely staff.

Always friendly staff and great food, a nice selection of beers and wine to choose from. My wife had a mushroom soup and loved it! From all restaurants nearby, NAP is where we go most often and we feel at home.

Prettige bediening. Fijn terras aan het water. Eten nogal doorsnee maar van goede kwaliteit.

Prima tent, eten was lekker dus daar was verder niks op aan te merken. Medewerker die onze bestelling op kwam nemen was ook top, maar er liep 1 persoon rond die niet zo vriendelijk was. Misschien was het zijn dag niet, maar vandaar 4 sterren voor sfeer

Chef's special rib eye was very disappointing and overpriced for the portion that you get. It's a tiny thin cut slice of low quality meat for 27 eur. Atmosphere is nice but there are much better quality food places also located by the Marina. I guess it's fine to just get drinks here without food.

Een hele fijne plek op IJburg. Ik kom er al jaren. Het personeel is vriendelijk, het eten lekker en de atmosfeer bij de haven perfect! Zeker een van mijn favoriete plekjes op IJburg. Het personeel houdt goed rekening met allergieen, veel kan glutenvrij.
