New York Pizza in Wijk 06 Nieuwland

I ordered from NYP in Zoetermeer for years and was always very happy. Then I moved to Rotterdam and it was a struggle for 6 years. Cold, slow, wrong orders. Today I ordered for the first time in my new hometown of Schiedam and it was perfect. Warm, fast, well-filled. Delicious!

Ordered here again because of the 2 for 1 offer. It was cold and poorly topped. Now I remember why we haven't ordered here in a while.

We order pizza here quite often, and it is becoming increasingly common for it to arrive late and/or for the quality to be lower. The last time we ordered (Aug 12), we received a pizza margherita with some kind of BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce. In any case, not a normal pizza margherita. You would think that if you call, a solution would be found immediately. We were able to get a new pizza, but had to join the back of the queue. As a result, the pizza arrived around 9:45 PM (more than 2 hours after the original delivery). After seeing all the other reviews, we are not the only ones who find it disappointing.

Ordered 3 pizzas, arrived 1.5 hours later and was wrong too. Called the branch and 4 hours later I received the correct pizza. I didn't even accept the pizza. This is also my last order ever!!

I picked up a pizza here myself (25 cm, New York style, 4 cheeses) and a lava cake. You can see how it is made, and the staff washed their hands regularly between tasks, which gave a good feeling regarding hygiene. The pizza itself was tasty and filling, as was the lava cake. Two years later, I picked up a pizza here myself again in October 2024. A chicken parmesan with a thin crust. It cost 10 euros, and upon payment, I was immediately told politely that it would take about 15 minutes to be ready. I could see again how they were working with the dough: very neat and friendly people. The pizza itself tasted really very good. I really have nothing negative to say about this shop! From what I see in other reviews, the difference in satisfaction might lie in the fact that I went to the physical store myself to pick it up versus delivery by other reviewers? Another 2 years later (August 2026) and still a big fan of this New York Pizza place. They keep things tidy, are professional, and there is a good atmosphere on the work floor. Friendly staff and still very tasty pizza.

Ordered two pizzas (tuna and BBQ Chicken), but both were soggy and lukewarm. The tuna pizza had hardly any tuna and tasted mostly like tomato sauce. The BBQ Chicken was completely tasteless, without any BBQ flavor. Despite ordering well in advance, the food didn't even arrive warm. I have been a customer for years, but the quality has clearly gone downhill.

I ordered off of Uber eats and the pizzas that came were drenched in oil. Inedible. But when I called the shop Sammy (apologies is I got your name wrong) was very helpful and replaced the pizzas for me at no charge. Although I was disappointed at first - the customer service made everything better.

Ever made pizza? You have dough, so bread, tomato sauce, cheese... and one jalapeño per slice. That's what I got; I ordered a caprese... Absolutely insane. How do you pull something like that off? If there was a pizza-making exam, this would be worth a chair to the face. Fail!

This isn't the first time the app has been showing my order has been delivered for an hour, but still nothing. On the phone, it just says, "It's on its way, I don't know how long, but it is," just to fob you off, even though we literally live around the corner. It's a shame I have two small children at home, otherwise I would have just walked by. This is ridiculous.

Very disappointing. Delivery in Schiedam usually takes more than an hour, even though I live only 5 minutes away by bike. By the time it arrives, the pizza is no longer fresh or tasty. Definitely not the New York Pizza quality I used to enjoy in The Hague.

I accidentally ordered pickup instead of delivery today. After calling the store, we were able to arrange for only standard shipping costs for delivery. I was very happy to hear this, and the gentlemen on the phone were very clear about the options. They offer excellent service, and the New York pizzas are always top-notch!

Had to wait almost an hour to be told (after I called) that something had gone wrong... so I had to wait another half hour... because there was no one available... Worthless!! The large number of bad reviews says enough. I had to wait 2 hours for my order even though it said it would take a maximum of 45 minutes for home delivery. Employees are associate on the phone and the food was cold and bad. Never again for me. I'll order from Dominos next time.

I have ordered here 3 times now (I like it better than dominos), but the delivery is really ridiculous. Every time they set the status to "delivered" after half an hour and then it takes them another hour before it is actually delivered. When you call them they say "yes, the delivery person is just leaving", or something like that, but in reality you have to wait another hour. In terms of food, it has been fine to order here so far, but order 1.5 to 2 hours in advance, because that is the actual average delivery time

When 2 pizzas were delivered, they were late and cold! I would be contacted after my complaint. Now more than 1 week ago I heard nothing. They don't care! Never again!!

Yesterday I was at the New York Pizza in Schiedam Nieuwland. I wanted to order a pizza and I was quietly waiting for my turn. When a boy came in, he also wanted to order a pizza, he was turned away and was told you are not a customer, get out of my business. I honestly don't think this is formal and I also find the service of this business very unprofessional. I left myself and then talked to that boy. He made it clear to me that he is an old employee and that his boss himself had not deducted something from his salary, which meant that it was his fault. Unfortunately, his boss himself could not admit this and became unprofessionally aggressive and refused a customer. I believe a customer is a customer and if I can file a complaint about this situation somewhere, I fully agree. Because I think you should treat people with respect, especially if you work in a business. Everyone who comes is a customer and you should not base that on the basis that I am not going to help that person because I don't like them, that is informal and very unprofessional. I'll never go back there again.

Believe the 1 star reviews. Had to wait a long time, pizza was cold and also the wrong pizza. I called, they would send a new pizza. Hours later still nothing. I called again, the guy on the phone hung up without helping me. I'll never do that again.

Terrible. Looks like a shisha lounge. Upon arrival you are told that the pizzas you ordered by telephone 15 minutes ago were "almost ready". Uh huh. Yesterday I ordered 2 large pizzas, one with chicken and the other with tuna. Paid 41 euros. I had to count the tuna and chicken on the pizza 🍕 6 pieces of tuna and 6 pieces of chicken pieces. Outrageous, could have just ordered a Margherita pizza. From now on buy a supermarket pizza and put it in the oven!!!!

Ordered up side down pizza margarita for the 2nd time. Pizza was cold and not delivered at the time I stated. I called to ask where my order is, the employee's response was that it was on its way. After 2.5 months I still haven't heard anything. I emailed them and the franchisee would contact me. Now 2 months later and still nothing. Contacted again. I am told the same thing, that I will be contacted as soon as possible. We are now almost half a year further.

Terrible, my food was half cooked, my wedges were dripping fat and my pepperoni pizza tasted like half baked dough and my sweet chilli wings were half cooked, I took a bite of everything and then the trash bin continued to enjoy it, worst thing.
