New York Pizza in Wijk 40 Emmen-Centrum

Ordered twice, and both times had to wait at least 1.5 hours!! for my food. Both times I had to call to follow up on the order myself; no apology was forthcoming. In the background, there was a lot of talking from, I think, employees—conversations you are supposed to have in private. Very unprofessional.

Today I had a very unpleasant experience with a delivery driver from New York Pizza Emmen. We met at a roundabout, where I braked gently and, according to the driver, almost hit him. He immediately started honking, to which I honked back. We then stopped; I rolled down my window to ask what was going on, after which he punched my side mirror with his fist without any provocation and drove away. I then went to confront him. Instead of reacting normally, the driver started laughing at me, became very rude, and used foul language to hurl insults at me. The staff did assist me politely and spoke to me, but the driver refused to leave, took no responsibility for his behavior, and offered no apologies. I have since had a telephone conversation with the owner, because I believe this behavior is absolutely unacceptable for employees on the road representing a company. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that appropriate measures follow, so that other customers or bystanders do not have to go through the same thing.

Delicious vegan pizza and the manager is a nice person.

I ordered 40 minutes before they closed and wanted to pay at the door, but they never showed up.

Ordered burgers via sister company, stone cold. Now waited another 2 hours for a pizza, so just cancelled, and now I've been waiting for my money for over 2 weeks.

We were really hungry and thought we'd just quickly order a pizza. We arrived at 10:44 PM and the employee said they were already closed, even though the website says they are open until 11:00 PM. He was just standing there chatting and probably didn't feel like working anymore.

A really bad and dirty place… would never order anything there again.

This pizzeria is really fantastic, highly recommended to order the BBQ Meatlovers pizza with garlic sauce. The staff is really nice.

Ordered before 10pm, called at 11:20pm, delivery person said it would be there in 30 minutes, ended up waiting until 12:30am, and they never showed up, never order from here again.

This case no words ordered before 10 o'clock 00:30 still nothing food was never delivered the umpteenth time this has happened here never order again!!

We ordered from the Emmen branch several weeks ago. After waiting for two hours, we called to ask how long it would take, and it turned out it would be at least another half hour before the pizzas even went in the oven. So we canceled the order. However, after three weeks, despite numerous contacts with customer service, we still haven't received our money back. It's truly awful.

Waited over two hours, eventually canceled. Now waiting over three weeks for a refund. Never encountered such unreliable companies before.

Waited 1.5 hours for 1 cup of ice cream and a lava cake. When you call (x4), you can't get anyone on the phone.

Ordered at 5:10 PM, delivery between 6:07 PM and 6:22 PM. Delivered at 7:05 PM, and the delivery driver cursed at his card reader. So, we won't do it again.

Horrible experience, waited 1.5 hours for an M&M sandwich, someone called to say they were out of Nutella, well we asked for cinnamon with M&Ms, did we get it, there were maybe 6 M&Ms on it and NO cinnamon, after a 1.5 hour wait this is definitely NOT worth it!

Wonderful shop. Because of the slippery conditions and the understandable fact that that's not nice for the delivery drivers, I asked beforehand if they would deliver. Yes, that was no problem. Great. Ordered a pizza. Two hours later, I called to ask where my pizza was. "Oh, yeah. We didn't make it," was the response. And then the excuses began. "Yeah, it's really busy." Apparently so busy that two hours later they hadn't even started on my pizza. Then suddenly it was "The delivery drivers are injured..." blah, blah, blah. So I said: "I asked you beforehand if you were delivering, and you said that wasn't a problem." This was apparently enough for her to get annoyed instead of solving the problem, and in a very typical accent, I got the response: "YES! How am I supposed to know they're injured..." Well, that's all I needed to know. Order canceled. I used to order here regularly, but now they're just keeping their pizzas. This wasn't the only time and therefore not the only reason I'm saying this, but it was the last straw.

Order is arriving late everytime…

I received chicken that wasn't cooked properly; it was still pink and raw. I called Burger Kitchen and was told that wasn't possible, but they refused to come check. They promised me a new order, but they simply didn't come. I wouldn't order food from here.

Very bad pizza! This branch does not deserve to use the brand name with such poor quality. I ordered a grilled vegetable pizza and received 3 slices almost without veggies, not that others were overflowing with veggies but when i complained i had to explain this thrice to people who were rude and also had to circle the slices on pics just to show the branch manager that it was only bread with no vegetables as he could not see it. If this is usual quality they delivery then its concerning. Completely unacceptable quality and attitude.

I am a great fan of NYP, and have been ordering Pizza from them for more than 10 years, but this is the worst store I came across. Quality wise as well as Hygiene wise. Normally I always do a delivery, but only because the delivery time was showing more than 60-90 minutes, and we were too tired after the Wildlands Emmen visit, I opted to go for a pickup, as this store was only 6 minutes walk from the Fletcher hotel byZoo Emmen. While picking up, I do noticed none of the employees were wearing any hygiene gloves while preparing the Pizza, on top of that the branch manager I guess (the bald guy with tattoos) was already popping up jalapeños from the jar and wiping his hand on his cloth. Coming to Pizza, we ordered a grilled vegetable pizza and a hot chicken pizza, surprisingly both pizza didn’t had enough veggies or the chicken. On making a complain, instead of accepting their mistake what you get is an attitude and an hour of discussion before replacing the pizza with a new one. When I visited the store the second time, the store manager angrily with a pathetic attitude threw the Pizza in the dustbin. So atleast we both were aligned here that it was a garbage Pizza, but he could have just tossed it in dustbin without trying to intimidate customers by showing anger and attitude. Most of the recent feedbacks I see now are already 1 star, so I believe they are lucky with people visiting Emmen Zoo and ordering with them the first and last time, just because of the brand name.

After placing a clear order by phone, I had to repeat my order twice, but the pizzas still had the wrong base and were poorly baked. They forgot the sambal. I won't be back; I've ordered significantly less in the past year.

Staff makes a mistake with the order and I melted down and asked to have it fixed and afterwards he lies that I cursed him and I am aggressively called by the manager and he treats customers badly. It was about me ordering 24 chicken pops and receiving 8. I asked if I would also receive the other 16.

Waited 1 hour for a really disgusting pizza. They shouldn't be allowed to use the name New York with this kind of garbage.

This is deeply pathetic; I got bad pizzas three times in a row. Three times in a row burnt, poorly stretched. Too thin in the middle and the crust was too thick and raw on the inside. Then very sparsely topped. And to top it off, they squirted a nice explosion of hot sauce on it so you can't taste the rest of the shortcomings anymore. And you pay 25 euros for that.

Don't order here! It was terrible; I had to wait 2 hours for my order and didn't even get compensation!!!

What you can expect from a New York Pizza. Friendly young people. And the food was delicious. The burgers were also new to me. A special thanks to the hard-working manager.

Having to wait almost 2 hours for a burnt pizza with young children. It was very difficult to get a new one delivered. Apparently, they shove burnt pizzas into a box and then blame the customer for choosing the options they provided themselves. They didn't even call beforehand to suggest something else. A real downer on a birthday during a holiday weekend.

Ordered 2 pizzas that were wrong, then called and got some idiot on the phone who hung up. 2nd time again, then spoke to the boss who said he would deduct 15 euros from the 32 and pick up the pizzas 🤣 then after a long wait and regularly lost appetite but got the right pizzas, they have 0 trust in customers. If I were a delivery person, I would stop there immediately. This was not the first incident for us, but it will be the last!!! WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN!!!

Recently we ordered food from New York Pizza for the very last time ever. Unfortunately we had ordered ice cream that was not in stock. When the delivery person came to the door we got different ice cream that my husband and I both did not like and because you pay almost €10 for it we gave it back and on the advice of the delivery person contacted the branch. After hanging on the line for a while we had an agreement that we would get our money back, this would take about 3 working days. A week later still nothing received so we went after it again, another week later still no response so we went after it again. Finally 2 weeks later we finally got contact. We were told that they would give us a free pizza as compensation.. PARDON?! So first they agreed with us that we would get our money back and then not say a word about it. I indicated that I did not agree with that and I have never had a response to that since then... very sad company!!!

With my personal conviction against Halal, I came across the website of "Burger Kitchen" somewhere, where I saw that there is also a branch in Emmen in the same building as NYP. I take no risk and do not order and eat Halal and therefore not at NYP branches anymore.

Worthless place. Ordered via Thuisbezorgd (expected 40 min) at Burger Kitchen Emmen (apparently also done by the restaurant). An hour and a half later I called myself for a status update and it turns out that they had not even started on the order.

We spontaneously looked for a pizzeria and then became aware of this because it was close to our holiday park. We were given a very friendly welcome and great service 😊 We had to wait a few minutes but we were told that when we ordered. We had 4 different pizzas and we thought they were all very good and the kids also enjoyed it. There was also a small present for the children 😀 If we were in the area again we would definitely come back.

45 minutes / 1 hour late with my pizza delivery and also cold, never ordering here again!!! Really not good service for this price

Had pizza on Saturday at the location itself. Went to Wildlands and were looking for a good but quick bite in the center of Emmen. Pizza was very tasty and staff very friendly!

They do not deliver on hold, there is another boy working there, you can lie with him and talk well, it was nice to immediately get two tasty pizzas, because nothing is better than New York pizza, very satisfied, but because of that boy.👍👍👍 👍

Just ordered a teriyaki chicken pizza and two American cookies. They didn't have the right cookies, but that can happen and they offered an alternative to this. However, there was a special topping on the pizza, namely a piece of plastic. Unfortunately I cannot add a photo, as it would say 'contrary to our policy'.

Got pizza for the first time, pizza was tasty and ready quickly.

Ordered nachos and literally had a whole jar of tomato sauce poured over them. Almost no cheese. Just not edible. Tomorrow I'm going to demand my money back

Ordered at 5:08 PM, delivery times confirmed for 5:52 PM - 6:07 PM, finally delivered at 6:24 PM. According to the app, pizza was ready from 5:35 PM, which was also noticeable: the pizza was lukewarm/cold. This is very unfortunate

New York pizza Emmen is very bad, dirty and sloppy. When I walk in, everyone sees that right away. I received salami pizza from them for the second time instead of pepperoni, even though I made it clear that we are not allowed to have salami.

Zeer aardig personeel, de pizza's zijn lekker en vind het zeer respectvol dat ze een foto van de desbetreffende scooter rijden die verongelukt is in de zaak hebben staan.

Het smaakte echt weer super goed, zoals altijd. Bezorgtijd was ook perfect. Ga hier zeker vaker bestellen!

Blijft gewoon de lekkerste afhaal pizza, maar de snelheid van het personeel... Ondanks dat het bijna altijd chaos in de zaak is, blijven ze wel altijd vriendelijk. Delivery kan als je geen haast hebt, anders kan je beter de pizza ophalen. Is ook goedkoper trouwens.

Ik heb hier deze week besteld en moet zeggen dat het me beter beviel dan verwachtingen, ondanks de drukte werd er tijd voor me gemaakt en voelde ik me niet opgedrongen. Ik had een klacht en er werd echt heel goed geluisterd en heb een mooie tegemoetkoming gekregen. Personeel heeft het gezellig en er hangt een leuke sfeer in de zaak! Echt een aanrader new york pizza emmen!

Jaren lang al klant. Vind de kwaliteit steeds minder worden. Prijzen zijn ook omhoog gedaan. Een tonijnpizza bestaat alleen maar uit rode ui, beetje tonijn en een paar olijven en veel deeg. Vroeger zaten er kappertjes op en waren de pizza's veel beter belegd. Ik noem het nu geen pizza meer. Jammer! . Ga wel op zoek naar een betere concept. Een echte pizzaria is net zo duur.

Jammer dat ze bij new york pizza niet kunnen rekenen. Ik heb 2 pizza's besteld á€12,99 en er was een actie van de 2de pizza voor 2 euro. Nu heb ik geleerd op school dat €12,99 + €2 is €14,99. Komt de bezorger aan de deur die wilde €16.99 ontvangen. Heb ik het hem maar even voorgerekent.

Pizza om half 6 online besteld. Ik wilde het om 19:00 uur ophalen. Kom ik aan om 19:00 uur is de pizza nog niet eens gemaakt. Erg jammer dit. Vervolgens nog 20 min gewacht tot hij klaar was. Pizza smaakte wel voortreffelijk. Ze hadden er wel een gratis blikje bij mogen doen wegens het extra wachten waar ik niet blij mee was.

Heerlijke pizza's en een goede service

6 pizza's besteld waaronder 3 4kazen. Dit was echt vies, er zit erg veel tomatensaus op, veel te machtig. De andere pizza's waren ook niet geweldig net als andere filialen. New york pizza is geen aanrader in Emmen.

Zojuist pizza besteld met snackje pizza was goed maar mijn knoflookbrood was nog rauw deeg van binnen helaas weg moeten gooien.. 🥺
