⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely deserved – burgers, service, and Dutch hospitality at their finest! I'm absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding, especially the burgers: juicy, perfectly cooked, with fresh ingredients, a great bun, and a truly delicious sauce. Add to that crispy fries – simply divine. The other dishes were also beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm. You're greeted with a smile and feel welcome from the very first moment. This typical Dutch hospitality – relaxed, warm, uncomplicated, and genuine – makes the visit truly special. You can tell that they work with passion. Highly recommended: If you're looking for great burgers, superb service, and genuine hospitality, this is the place to go. Five stars, absolutely deserved – I'll definitely be back!

You can sit outside here nicely under the canopy. In the evening, the tent is transformed into a dance club, which the big red button in the ladies' restroom reminded me of. The White Chocolate Pornstar Martini was definitely recommended; a delicious drink! There happened to be a homeless person on the terrace, which made for a bit of a spectacle, but that didn't make it any less delicious.

I don’t normally leave Google reviews, but I especially wanted to write one for your waiter, Anwar. I honestly haven’t met someone this friendly, helpful, incredibly quick, and attentive in a long time. He made our experience so much better with his great attitude and service. If I had the opportunity, I would have happily left him a much bigger tip. He truly deserves all the appreciation!

I happened to end up here for a meeting. It was nice sitting on the terrace for a bit. There is plenty going on around you. Wide selection of drinks. And polite staff. The only downside was that there was one drink too many on the bill, but it was corrected.

Worst security ever. We still had 6 minutes to smoke outside but the security pushed us ( physically) inside and super disrespectful with us to go inside and we said we still have 6 minutes and they didn’t care and they didn’t want to listen and they said if u go outside u are not allow to go inside even we had time . I hope they fix it. They think that if people drink they can behave like whatever they want.

Upon arrival, they had my reservation ready immediately. And we were guided well right from the start. Throughout the meal, there was a lot of attention paid to the guest. And we received good advice regarding the dishes. A very good experience. The atmosphere outside on the terrace was very pleasant. And the food was tasty too. One dish wasn't quite right, but that was resolved quickly. In short, a very good experience. We would certainly love to come back!

Security guards were incredibly rude and lied that entrance is only from 21+ while website says 18+, they first let us in and then kicked out because my cousin was 18. Outrageous

This place is attached to the place I stayed at. We tried several dishes, all very tasty and accompanied by traditional sauces. A good selection of beers, quick service, and friendly staff. We sat outside, soaking up the atmosphere, a street lined with other bars and lively due to the presence of a stage for a local festival.

We stayed in Rotterdam for three nights and every night we stopped by this bar; it seemed like the only one open with a bit more people. My husband always had beers and I had hot chocolate; mine was very good.

First time dining at Nieuw Rotterdams Café, and it was a very enjoyable experience. We reserved our table online for 19:30, but due to delays with public transport, we were running a bit late. After calling the restaurant to let them know, the staff was very understanding and reassured us that our table would still be waiting for us. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed. The waiter was already aware of our situation and immediately put us at ease. The dining area felt spacious and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere and several tables occupied. Once seated, we were offered water and bread to start. The restaurant follows a shared dining concept, with dishes divided into four categories. Our waiter recommended choosing something from each category and ordering a second round afterwards if desired. We chose the burrata, vegan gyoza, Black Angus burger, BBQ teriyaki chicken, rendang bao buns, and Spanish fries. Our favourite dish of the evening was definitely the BBQ teriyaki chicken. It was incredibly tender, full of flavour, and simply delicious. The only dish that wasn’t quite for us was the rendang bao bun. We enjoyed both the rendang and the bao separately, but felt the combination didn’t work as well as we had expected. We also loved the New Red cocktail, especially with its edible rose petals and glitter effect. It was unlike any cocktail we had tried before and added a fun touch to the evening. For dessert, we had the vegan chocolate mousse and the Pornstar Martini cheesecake. Both were enjoyable, although we found the alcohol flavour in the cheesecake a little overpowering for our taste. Thank you for a lovely dining experience.

Scam I ordered a beer which was €6 on the menu... There are no measurements on the menu. It came in a 250ml glass. What a scam. Why don't you put the beer in pint glasses? Why don't you put measurements on the menu? Why are you scammers?

We had a fantastic evening at the NRC on Monday, April 20th. We played an escape game in the Next room with a group of 16 colleagues, followed by the 3-course sharing dinner. With a glass of white (Viognier) with the first course and red (Tempranillo) with the beef tenderloin, it was delicious. And the celebratory dessert certainly lived up to its name; and as it should be, we didn't finish it all. In terms of service, the evening was simply complete thanks to Floor! She not only took care of our table service, but she was a true hostess. Where do you find those these days?

We went out for dinner on a Friday evening. It was incredibly fun and delicious! Immediately upon arrival, we were assigned Floor as our waitress for the evening, and we had such a laugh with her! Super helpful, we wanted for nothing all evening + she was great at helping us choose from the appetizer list. We tried a bit of everything on the menu; we were particularly enthusiastic about the steak tartare, the ribeye, and the tuna tastadas. For dessert, the tasting platter is definitely recommended; then you can be sure you won't go home hungry! Thanks so much for the lovely evening!

We had organized a dinner (with a pub quiz and bingo) for 50 people. We had chosen the shared dining menu and were seated in the Atrium. What an amazing space and how beautifully the tables were set. We had some requests regarding the table arrangement for the games, and everything was taken into account. When we arrived, our hostess Malou came over to us immediately. We discussed everything: the course times, drink preferences, etc. She handled everything so well and took every detail into consideration. All 50 of us enjoyed the delicious food and the incredibly good and friendly service.

I walked in this afternoon for a cup of coffee, as I have done many times in the past. Upon entering, my path was blocked by a waitress who asked in a somewhat sharp tone, "Can I help you with anything?" I asked if I could have a drink, to which she indicated that the section on the left (i.e., with windows facing Witte de Withstraat) was inaccessible "because they were probably preparing it for dinner." At that moment (I demonstratively checked my watch), it was 2:50 PM... uh, well, it's best to start setting tables early. I was "allowed" to sit in the café section on the right, which I am familiar with but do not find atmospheric or comfortable (many high tables with wooden stools, fewer windows, etc.). I declined and left. The entire way I was addressed did not feel particularly customer-friendly.

We had a drink at NRC and were helped really well and pleasantly by Armand all evening!

Had a drink before going to the candlelight concert. Nice place. Music a bit loud. Service took a while. But everything was within the range of a "fine place to grab a quick drink".

Excellent place for snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful. We ordered a sharing platter with breaded prawns, spring rolls, different types of bread and ham, potato croquettes, olives, etc., and everything was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Last Thursday evening, my colleagues and I wanted to have a nice drink here. There was plenty of room, and we were waiting at the cash register. Then a frustrated, grumpy waiter came over and rudely ordered us to wait outside for a table. So, we left immediately. Having such a pushover serving you isn't good for sales.

The atmosphere at NRC was fantastic, the vibe and music – just like in a club, simply amazing. Six drinks for seventy euros, a hefty price, but the evening was vibrant and exciting. Beautiful decorations in the room, arranged with style, the vibrant red was an eye-catcher that immediately captivated. The Americano remained strong and very distinctive, a drink with character that you won't soon forget.

Warm, loud, and more importantly: they promise one thing and then deliver another. We won't be coming back.

The service was friendly, but the food was downright subpar. The tuna was flavorless and the empanadas were hard and had a vague filling. We stopped after two dishes; we were glad we hadn't ordered more right away. Dessert resembled a piece of shaved chocolate with some loose fruit. The wait was long, even though only a fifth of the tables were occupied. Loud music played from a sort of empty disco. The next day, I had diarrhea. We'll skip NRC from now on.

Café NRC on Witte de Withstraat: one of Rotterdam's hotspots. Last Saturday night, after a movie, I went to Café NRC with an acquaintance for drinks. Around 10:00 PM, it was incredibly busy with lots of hip, young people. The service was also modern; the ladies in red dresses at the entrance were especially striking. We ordered a beer, a coke, and a portion of Rotterdam bitterballen (a type of Dutch croquette). Unfortunately, we were placed in a corner with a broken light. Because it was very dark there, it was difficult to contact the staff. Luckily, we were eventually helped. The many candles created a cozy atmosphere, but I had hoped the light above our table would work. The service consisted of hip, young female students. Because it was so busy, it was noticeable that they didn't always have time to take orders immediately. That's a bit of a drawback on a night like this; you sometimes have to wait a long time for your drink or snack. Perhaps it would be better to coordinate the crowds a bit better. Nevertheless, it's still a fun place!

We had a delicious meal and drinks with very friendly and correct service. The music played by a DJ wasn't to our liking and could have been a bit more varied, rather than just lounge music. We will definitely be back.

We went for lunch. I only knew NRC from having drinks there in the evening, but we thought we'd come for lunch through the social deal. Our reservation was for 2:00 PM, and after waiting over an hour, we finally received our food. The service was far from friendly; a woman in her late 40s helped us but wasn't very interested in discussing options when we asked for something. Because of the long wait, we asked if they could bring some baguette and spreads, but she said, "This isn't included in the social deal." Of course, we would have paid for it separately, but it seemed we weren't allowed to order it. I won't be having lunch here again; it was a real disappointment. I felt anything but welcome. The food wasn't bad; it was certainly fine. But the service? Horrible.

I had to watch the waiter 6 times passing by my table. Finally I could get his attention to order. I have never been served colder koffie. Americano came in a tiny espresso cup and the cup was half full. The music is cool, but you can have that at home too. A despicable experience.

A lively atmosphere. Tapas to share. This restaurant was recommended, and all in all, it was quite good. It's hard to please everyone all the time, but they were very helpful since my wife is disabled, and the dog was allowed in too. If we visit Rotterdam again, we'll definitely be back.

What a disgrace! Let me start by saying that my entire family is suffering from severe food poisoning. Shared dining has never been so bad… we arrived to a blaring racket of house music that you had to shout over to hear each other. (An interesting choice for a restaurant where you have to dine for a long time, especially considering the chefs' pace.) After many requests from guests, the music could have been turned down a bit, but they also had to stick to the "concept." We were served by a very nice lady, who said she actually needed to wear earplugs because of her tinnitus. A pleasant work environment. The first round of food took an hour to arrive, and the last rounds arrived very quickly after we asked where it was. The pressure and poor preparation by the kitchen likely led to poorly prepared food and, consequently, food poisoning. This situation in a restaurant where you pay top dollar for mediocre food is, of course, not normal. While we are still reeling from the afterglow of tomorrow's diarrhoea and vomiting, I would like to advise everyone against eating here.

It was difficult to talk to everyone. You also had to speak quite loudly when ordering.

5 minutes before closing time, the doorman asked to hang up his coat in the cloakroom. Even at the cloakroom, he reacted indignantly: "We're going to close soon."

This is by far the worst place I have experienced in Rotterdam. The prices are extremely high considering the very poor quality of the food and drinks. The orders arrived extremely late. The apple pie was honestly the worst I’ve ever had in my life. It was ice cold, as if it had been taken straight out of the freezer.

Apart from one waiter who took our order politely, the rest was not worthy of the prices charged. This included the waitresses' rudeness, who brought us dishes that weren't ours, and the slow kitchen, which took 30 minutes to "prepare" and then only served two small dishes, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy.

My friend was unable to decide what to order, and due to some pressure, she placed an order reluctantly. The order arrived after a very long wait; the waiter who apologized for the delay was actually very kind. However, the order of the friend who had been pressured to choose did not arrive at all. When we asked to cancel it, the waiter immediately brought the bill instead. When we said that we did not want to pay at that moment, the slip was taken from my friend’s hand.

The worst place to go in Rotterdam! We visited this place with friends and had a very disappointing experience. The waiter was extremely rude and aggressive from the beginning. The food and drinks took way too long to arrive, and when they finally did, the quality was poor — it tasted like it came straight from a freezer. One of our drinks never arrived at all. When it was time to pay, the waiter aggressively shoved the bill into my hand and continued to act unprofessionally and disrespectfully. Overall, the service was unacceptable and we left feeling very unhappy with our visit.

We asked to cancel it so it wouldn’t be added to the bill, but instead the waiter brought us the bill without us asking. When we questioned it, he became passive-aggressive and even snatched the bill from my friend’s hand. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on the service we received.

Had a great evening and played the murder mystery game. The food was delicious, but it was a shame the fish appetizer had cilantro added—so disgusting. Some people enjoyed the sharing option, but I find it less appealing. The loud music made it difficult to understand the staff.

The food was delicious (a salad and sandwich), and the menu selection for the social deal was very comprehensive. I thought the service, including waiving the extra charge for the salmon with the sandwich as part of the social deal, was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

It was super fun! We never go out, but this was really nice and cozy. The music was a bit too loud, so we couldn't even hear each other during dinner. We chose the chef's specials, a platter of various appetizers and rounds of delicious food. Definitely recommended if you don't want to sit up straight in a fancy restaurant.

A delightful share-dining restaurant, a sort of "tapes restaurant" but English. You order appetizers and share them. The service is very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious, I especially loved the calamari. I wasn't as impressed with the dessert options, but I love a Dame Blanche, and they didn't have them like so many restaurants do these days. The decor was atmospheric, with a beautiful red wall and red Christmas decorations instead of the stark white. Apparently, you can dance there after dinner on weekends.

On last Saturday evening we had a reservation for 10 people at 21:00, it was my friends 21st birthday. A couple of people arrived at 21:00 and the table was not ready so they sat next to the bar where they wanted to bring another high table and place it there, however a normal low table opened up for us, which couldn't even fit 10 people but not everybody was there yet so we didn't think much of it then. However, now it seems a bit strange to have a reservation made 1 week in advance and the table not being even for 10 people... We ordered some drinks and when others showed up and wanted to order, one of the girls working there said " if you want, order at the bar", while there were at least 4 waiters around serving other tables. They also announced us that at 22 the bar turns into a club downstairs and in the area behind the curtain and gave us some bracelets for it. Around 22:30, the bill shows up out of nowhere and after paying, the same girl that told us to order from the bar, said we have to leave as soon as we finish our drinks. She told us that we were not all 21 years old ( most of us were at least 20 years old) and that we have to leave cause the rule is 21+ (she said that's the municipality rule which i believe it is actually 18+). This rule is not communicated anywhere on their website or entrance. I believe she lied to us because we were not dutch and we wouldn't know the rules, I think it's not normal to kick us out for no reason on someone's birthday and without any prior notice of this 21+ rule...I would not recommend this place, we were treated really unfair.

✨ New Rotterdam Café – Witte de With continues to surprise! The atmosphere is warm and funky, and the food doesn't disappoint. Our favorites: crispy Korean Fried Chicken, soft bao with rendang, juicy mini burgers, tempura shrimp, sticky teriyaki ribs, and the chapolata beef skewer. Perfect for sharing and ideal for an evening of fine dining. 🔥🍽️😍

The bouncers are extremely mean and we got kicked out for no reason even though we tried to talk to them and make everything okay. There are a lot of negative reviews for this club and I should’ve listened to them. I do not recommend coming here

We were celebrating our friends birthday and we got drinks and after an hour they told us we have to leave beacuse we were under 21? They didn’t let us know this beforehand.
