I had a delicious takeout meal at Nyan Switi in Utrecht. I was served by a very friendly and spontaneous young man. I had a roti roll and a stuffed bara. Both were very tasty. I'll definitely be back; I highly recommend it if you're looking for delicious Surinamese food!

The chicken curry sandwich was delicious: well-filled, juicy chicken, and spicy without being too spicy. The lamb sandwich was richly flavorful and tender, though it could have been a bit less fatty. Together, it made for a tasty and filling lunch, definitely worth it!

You'll receive a friendly welcome here, and there's a wide selection of Surinamese food. We went for nasi and roti, and we thoroughly enjoyed the generous portions. A delicious Surinamese beer complemented the meal (okay, and a baka bana for dessert, but that went straight into our dessert stomach).

It is a shame to see that there are some negative reviews that absolutely do not match the real experience. Some customers deliberately leave bad reviews, while the quality of the food and service are excellent. It is important to take these reviews with a grain of salt, because they do not reflect the true value of this restaurant. Since the new owner took over and renewed the concept, Nyan Switi is better than ever. I would recommend everyone to experience it for yourself, because you will certainly not be disappointed. Roti was cold and the potatoes not fresh (from yesterday or older). Chicken curry rolls were poor in terms of chicken fillet. And I had to look for the cucumber. Bara bread (not fresh) was very small and stuck to the paper. See photo. I called with my complaints and no suitable solution was offered, only that he would pass it on. Waste of money. Never again!

Believe me, this is certainly not a paid review and certainly not intended to harm you. You are already doing that damage yourself. What a shame that you can't handle being put in your place and having to face the harsh reality that your food is disgusting and of 0% quality. There are several bad reviews about you and even a review about food poisoning delivered to your home! The tone you leave with several reviews is scandalous and very unprofessional. The standard menu for a Surinamese takeaway restaurant. Hygienic, and very tidy compared to similar tents. Eating on site is allowed, but there is no furniture other than a sofa with a few seats. Small portions. You are politely asked if you want sour, but you are charged €0.40 extra for this: it would be fine if it were also a reasonable portion of sour (which was not the case).

Since the legendary Surinamese eatery Rosita (Koekoekstraat) closed, I have been looking for the best alternative. They had a divine vegetarian Roti Pom. It always took a while, but so fantastic! Now I have tried quite a few Surinamese in Utrecht in recent years, but you are by far the best! Congratulations! Perfectly seasoned and beautiful with the different toppings. I would love to come again soon!

Yesterday I got baras, chicken curry and pom sandwiches here with several people. The sandwiches tasted fine, nothing special, but it now appears that 3 out of 4 people suffered from stomach cramps last night and had to use the toilet several times. The store looked nice and tidy and I think you could go here for your groceries, but my friends and I will probably not get a sandwich here again anytime soon.
