Horrible Service on 29/07 shift of 18:30. Normally love this place. But the waiter made remarks that were really odd to us and the customers (was he drunk..?).

Highly recommend, exceptional service, amazing cocktails!

NJOY is tucked away on one of the busiest tourist streets, yet the terrace feels surprisingly intimate. It’s the kind of place where one cocktail easily turns into three while you watch the city drift by. I came for the special Hendrick’s Gin collaboration with local sorbet maker Miuz and stayed longer than planned. Every cocktail feels balanced, distinctive, and made with real care. The service is warm, intuitive, and effortlessly professional. You never feel rushed, and every recommendation comes with genuine enthusiasm. It’s the sort of place you’ll recommend to friends while secretly hoping they don’t all go at once.

Possibly the best cocktail bar in the world. Been to Amsterdam twice, and both visits required one or more visits to this bar. This is now a tradition

The first visit here was good so I decided to return when I had family visit from abroad. The volcano cocktail was not balanced, with a very powering rum flavour. On the last visit the cocktail was significantly better and the other cocktails were well balanced. When asked how the cocktails were and I gave my response the server communicated that nothing changed in the recipie and it should be the same as before. So why even ask how everything is? No offer to fix or correct it was given at first. No one at the table could drink the volcano drink, it was sent back and still paid for. The lollipop drink was also out of balance and couldn't be finished. the lollipop drink was credited off the bill. Unfortunately the experience at other cocktail bars vastly supersedes Njoy.

I was looking for a place of a nightcap after an evening boat cruise, and this place called my attention. It looked interesting and nice from the outside, so I decided to give it ago. When I found the door, I saw their notice about dress code and the instruction to ring the doorbell, something I hadn’t come across before. After ringing the doorbell, I was welcomed by the owner. I sat at the bar, and the bartender made me a cocktail with an alteration on request. I went for the ‘Passionate Mexican’, first without the crème de mure, and it was lovely; but I also had the full deal on my second drink. This was a Wednesday evening, and the next day was a bank holiday, and the place wasn’t empty, but it wasn’t full either. I could tell that the punters were a mix of tourists and locals. The place has a calm and lovely atmosphere. The doorbell policy is an alternative solution to having a bouncer, a way to choose who gets in mainly on the premise of following the dress code. Both the bartender and the owner were very friendly, so I had a good chat with them. The bar has a really interesting cocktail menu, but the bartender is experienced enough to make you any of the classics if you wish. The bar has been going for over twenty years and still standing! I would happily go back to this place again on my next visit to Amsterdam, and I would certainly recommend you do too.

Had such a great experience at this bar! The drinks were really good, the ambiance was perfect, and the whole place had such a fun, welcoming vibe. Joey was amazing from the second we walked in — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. He also had us laughing the whole time because he was genuinely funny and easy to talk to. His service really made the night even better. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

My partner loves a particular type of rum, so I had found out that Njoy stocks it...but so much more! A lovely bar, extensive amount of drinks and cocktails that I had never come across before...I had the Beurre Noisette...delicious. We were attentively served by Jago, who was kindness itself and explained the cocktails so well. The decor was fabulous too...thank you Njoy...we'll be back!

A very enjoyable cocktail bar with high-quality and original drinks. The staff were excellent—especially the Polish waitress who took care of us; she was very friendly and helpful. The venue and atmosphere are also great. We had been here before, and this time we noticed they’ve added a doorbell system and seem to be selective about who they let in. It was a bit surprising, but perhaps that’s part of what helps maintain the high quality. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

We didnt have food so ignore that rating but the atmosphere and cocktails were 10/10 the best espresso martini my wife had ever had a a lovely place to sit and chat, highly recommended

The waitress is nice enough, but for these prices, I think you should expect a bit more from the cocktails. It’s not bad, but for the price, “adequate” isn’t enough and they need to do something extra. For example, at Celest in Rotterdam, you pay less, you sit on a rooftop with a DJ, and the cocktails are served to a higher quality. But anyway, this is Amsterdam, so maybe by their standards this is top-notch—that’s possible—but by my standards, it isn’t. Also, the decor in the restrooms; I missed hand soap and hand balm, etc.

Together with my wife, we had a cocktail at this really nice bar again after 11 years!! Highly recommended to everyone. Additionally, the service from the host is excellent, making sure everyone has a great time!! We will definitely be back and I recommend it to everyone for a fun date. Have fun in Thailand ;)

We recently stopped by NJOY, hoping for a classy night out, but it ended up being a pretty disappointing experience overall. Both our cocktails were seriously off balance; way too sweet and lacking any real harmony in flavors. On top of that, the music was blasting so loud that we could barely hear each other talk without leaning in. The service didn’t redeem things either, our waitress coming over like a robot, pushing shots with zero warmth or genuine chat, just straight up mechanical upselling that made us feel like targets rather than guests. The bar looks stylish enough with its glam lighting and setup, but between the unbalanced, overly sweet cocktails, the deafening volume and the pushy vibe, it wasn’t the relaxed, quality cocktail experience we were after.

If you want the best cocktails in Amsterdam, you definitely have to go here. I had the lollypop, a strawberry daiquiri, and the apple pie as a shot. So good! 😋

On January 3rd, I went to NJOY for drinks. I've been coming here for a while, and the service has always been good. What happened this evening, however, was embarrassing and unacceptable. After waiting at the bar for over 10 minutes, we were finally asked what we wanted to drink (which wouldn't have been a problem if the service was good). We both ordered a Valpolicella red. The Asian waiter who helped us (not that it matters, but I want to make it clear who we're talking about) poured an amount of wine that was simply absurd. Not a glass of wine, but literally a tasting sip. My friend and I looked at each other in surprise—this made no sense. I specifically asked: "Is this for tasting?" His answer: "No, this is the glass." My glass was approximately 50 ml of wine. After four sips, my €10 wine was completely gone. I've never experienced this before, anywhere in the world, from South Africa to Italy. This doesn't feel like a mistake, but like deliberately taking advantage of guests. I paid and left immediately. Let me be clear: NJOY is a great place, and the rest of the staff is fantastic. But this particular waiter is doing a tremendous amount of damage to the business. Whenever he's behind the bar, I'll walk out immediately. It's a shame, because NJOY deserves better than this kind of behavior.

We had a fabulous experience at Njoy. The presentation and taste of the smoked buttered old fashion whiskey was spectacular. Whiskey Sour with Laphroaig was also very good. Strongly recommend!

A fantastic cocktail bar right in the heart of the party district. You have to ring the bell to get in. Drunken people, large groups, and shady characters are turned away. The waitstaff and bartenders are great. The cocktail selection is amazing, and the taste is superb. The decor is dim with lots of light; it's small but surprisingly spacious, with loud but pleasant music. Highly recommended.

Expensive cocktail bar with slow service. Ordered the most expensive Negroni of my life and to my surprise it was also the weakest I ever had. To add to that I Also had to wait nearly half an hour for it, while its just a drink. Wouldn't recommend this place. I do want to say that service was friendly though.

I recently went to Njoy with friends for my birthday. Let me tell you, I've never tasted such delicious and unique cocktails. Honestly, everything was delicious, and the hostess was a real sweetheart. My tip: let her surprise you. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

The cocktails were very well prepared, the atmosphere was very nice and so were the customers, the waitress from Lithuania was very kind to us and also spoke Spanish, we will definitely come back, thank you very much!

As a lover of cocktails I can truthfully say that the 4 cocktails we ordered yesterday were some of the best I ever had, they were worth every cent. In fact my partner who’s more a beer drinker is still raving about his first one and said it’s the best cocktail he’s EVER had! Waitress was also very nice and friendly. We plan to go again before we leave.

Awesome place for cocktails. The sweet potato fries were yum. Sean Connery is for whiskey lovers and for rum lovers, lollipop: sweet, rich, and smooth. The service was awesome 👍🏽 Lilly has been super helpful in choosing my drink.

Have you ever tried a Sechuan Button also known as Buzz Buttons?! 🤯 An "electric" experience. It begins with a champagne-like sensation on the tip of the tongue. Then, a tingling and numbing sensation spreads across the entire tongue and insides of the cheeks, accompanied by a flood of saliva. In short, an experience you'll never forget. I chewed it for about 10 seconds and then chased it with a delicious shot. You can see it sitting next to it on the coaster. So weird 😆 And this bubble cocktail was divine.
