We ate the octupus, montanarina and terra. All of them were good, my favourite was Terra pizza. I think there were a little pricey but overall good.

First things first, the pizza was amazing! Desert was good, but nothing special. However, we found the service quite bad, we had to ask 3 times to get another drink, they seemed pretty stressed. I got the feeling that we couldnt eat in peace there and were forced to eat in a hurry and leave as soon as possible. We made the reservation a year ago, as there was other possibility. They might need to work on that as its not worth it at all. The interior does not equal the hype. Pretty basic, looks more like McDonalds or another fastfood chain.

Amazing pizza, 10 starts without doubts, good service, hard workers from back office to the waiters.. only the main italian cook seems always unhappy, always cursing, always accusing colleagues of something, creates permanent tension, I don't know if he has any important role in his position, but he seems to have a negative energy in the team. I tried the margherita pizza, it was delicious The sauce and cheese are very delicious, and the dough 👍🏻👍🏻 There is no need to book if you go early. We went at 6 Morocco and there was a place 👍🏻 but it was crowded, after us the people who were inside had to wait. The price is about 50 riyals for one pizza, but it is large Compared to Italian pizza in Riyadh, there is nothing new, but it is worth a try 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing pizza served by open and extremely friendly staff. The atmosphere is really relaxed and pricing is appropriate. While reservations are good, they have multiple tables reserved for walk-ins as well. Definitely a recommendation for anyone in Amsterdam looking a great and authentic Neapolitan pizza!

One of the finest Italian style pizzas I have had in Amsterdam. Very authentic pizzas and desserts. I had the Margherita and Oro di Buffala which are vegetarian options and the Tiramisu at the end for dessert and I really enjoyed all of it. This place is usually pretty full and hence you can always expect fresh food. Inspite of the crowd, the service was fast and the staff was very active and polite. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

An Italian pizza, nothing special. I didn’t like the area where we were seated; it was a bit cramped. I also noticed a small cockroach on the ceiling, and the display window had fingerprints all over it.

The pizza was extraordinary. The dough was outstanding. Service was on-point. Great place to visit. Waited 1 year after the booking but there are many seats that you can walk in. Thank you for making my Christmas dinner special with my wife!

Hands down the best pizza dough I've ever eaten. nNea delivers what it promises: a lovingly made, super authentic, fluffy, soft and crispy dough that melts in your mouth. The mozzarella on the Margharita as well as the buffalo mozzarella and Parmesan on the Oro de Buffala were so rich in flavor that nothing, absolutely nothing was missing. The homemade chili oil is very tasty as well and goes perfectly with the fluffy pizza dough. The dessert menu is very straightforward with just two dishes, but it has a lot to offer. Both the tiramisu and the sweet foccacia are highly recommended. ✨ Reservations in advance are recommended. We have now made two reservations at relatively short notice, both a few days beforehand, due to cancellations, you just have to stay on it and see if any slots open up. For me, it's a must-try in Amsterdam, nothing comes close in terms of pizza. Can't wait to come back sometime and have this culinary experience again - attention to all foodies with a love of really good food: don't miss it! 🍕❤️ a simple pizza never tasted better, thanks to that incredible dough!!

Been there almost ten times. It had been my go-to place until this time. The “ wow” feeling was gone. The quality is definitely not as good as before. The pizza crust was a bit overly burnt. The texture was not that great. It just became…ordinary ..Helaas! We ordered Terra and spicy marinara. Terra was just too greasy and lost the well balanced flavor that nNea used to have..used to be very good at! Spicy marinara used to taste much better..now it’s kinda “ meh”. Like I said, the “ wow” that I used to have for years was gone. Felt disappointed to see this restaurant now became just an ordinary pizzeria.

The orange wine and margarita pizza were fantastic. If you’re coming without a reservation, be prepared to wait outside for about half an hour. Also, make sure to remind them occasionally that you’re waiting outside, as they might forget about you after taking your name.

We got lucky and got a reservation for nNea the night before. We went there at 8:45 and it was a bit empty already, so I feel like if you walk by at that time you can get lucky and skip that one year wait. All the servers were super lovely and we got a great wine recommendation. The pizza was also very delicious! Definitely in my top 5 of Amsterdam. The only downside is that the AC was leaking a bit onto the bench we were sitting on (occasional drips of water from above). Except for that nothing to complain about!

The best pizza in Amsterdam. Staff is extremely happy and professional. Arrived at 7ish, put our name in the queue, took us 1 hour to be called to get a table. But definitely worth it. The quality of burrata and focaccia are top of the shelf. Pizzas are so thin, crusty edges. Very well done guys!

We went to the pizzeria without a reservation but we followed the restaurant's rule and so we arrived early, when it opened, so we were served immediately! Friendly staff! We chose three different pizzas, excellent in quality and taste! Worth every visit! Well done to the chef and his team!

Tasty pizza, but quite pricey for a not too special pizza. They also don't cut the pizza and it is often delivered cold.

I've been to Naples for a weekend to eat pizza... but this is definitely that level and completely different. I had to wait a whole year for the reservation, but it was well worth it. I have a feeling you can also just walk by for a spot! The dough is phenomenal. The tomatoes and all ingredients are chosen and prepared with love. I recommend you get the margarita because it is the perfect balance of flavors. I immediately made a reservation again for six months from now, haha. Oh yes, there is a waiter with the best smile ever. It was infectious! Really nice staff. Thank you!

Some of the best pizza and tiramisu I've had. Very busy, but the service was nonetheless very prompt and polite. If you're solo, it's much easier to get seated without a reservation, I sat at the bar where I could watch the oven. Overall I'm very happy with nNea. Thank you

Made a reservation a year ago, and was not disappointed! Was 1 of the best pizza i had in my life, and i had a lot of it. Service was on point and fast. We had the Terra and a spicy sausage pizza. The dough was fluffy and had a great chewiness. Try to make a reservation before you go... If you are a walk-in, try to be there at 17:00/17:15 to almost guaranteed a seat at the bar

Flat out the best pizza in Amsterdam and definitely worth the hype and wait. The texture of the 00 dough is spot on. The sauce is bright and flavorful. The mozzarella is perfect. Everything delicious and totally on point!

Can’t think of a better place when it comes to neopolitan style pizza

My favourite Napolitan style pizza restaurant in the Netherlands! Their pizza menu is versatile so I always order a different one to try out. I forgot the name, but this time I got the one with anchovies. For me personally it was a bit too salty and bland without the cheese, but the dough was amazing. Thin, chewy and nicely baked. Can’t wait to try another one the next time!

It may be better to make a reservation before you arrive, you need to check it instantly on the website, but if you come without a reservation, you may wait 40-50 minutes to sit at the table when the weather is bad. We spent approximately 50 euros per person, but I can say that it was worth every penny. The octopus cooked in tomato sauce, which we said before the pizzas, was great, the 3 pizzas we ate afterwards were great, we ate nono vincenzo, cotto and terra pizzas and they were really great, from the dough to the ingredients of the pizza, it was great. I can say that the leeks in one pizza were a surprise to us. Definitely worth the wait.

You pay 25€ for a pizza and they sit you somewhere where water drips on you from the ceiling. Came also 2 weeks ago and same thing happened. Pizza is okay, too loaded and soggy.

Great experience and delicious food with the whole family. We made a reservation 1 year ago due to a large group. And it was worth the wait!. I made pizza Cotto myself and it was great. Worth repeating.

Wednesday the 13th, Invited by my daughter and her boyfriend, we went to dinner for my husband's pre-birthday. (with reservation) The pizzas, wine and tiramisu are excellent. The staff very kind and friendly. At the end of the dinner the boy who served us gave us candy with a candle and we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Having waited a year (yes, 365+ days) for our reservation, I must say that the claims of this being top-tier are well overshot. Pizzas were good, but not amazing. The dough lacked flavor and crispness, though its consistency was great and the ingredients were fresh. Service was inattentive for what this is hyped out to be. Seating was also something more out of a diner, did not feel cozy in there, especially staring at the bathroom and kitchen doors. Overall there are tastier pizzas in the city, certainly with better service. Almost makes you wonder whether this was some great marketing stunt pulled off in order to rate this place this high..

Pizzas are good but nothing extraordinary. It is hard to get a table without reservation and even the reservation it is good to do in advance.

Made a reservation a year ago because I know its difficult to get it..it was supposed to be this month and I was looking forward to it..suddenly they cancelled it and I see no reason!! Very disappointed

Ordered from them not knowing of their reputation. I am going to deliver my two very small complaints then I can go onto the praise. Pizza was mentioned to be sent with plum tomatoes and they were sadly not included. Also the requests for cutlery were ignored, which sucked a bit as I had to rawdog the pizza. Anyway that was my reasoning for the one star deduction. Overall, easily in the top 3 pizzas I have ever had. The dough is the lightest, fluffiest, most incredibly thin charred pizza dough. It was perfection, and really light on the stomach too. I had the bufala pizza, cheese was great, not much else to say on that. Spicy oil is a must if you enjoy your spice, and the little bits with basil carried me to the stars. However what makes this pizza is the sauce. I am of the 1/3 of the worlds population that believes sauce is what makes the pizza and I was so so satisfied with this one. It is my ideal pizza sauce. It was simultaneously very bright and rich, deepened the flavors and made this a perfect pizza for me. Hoping to be back for an in restaurant dining experience as well. Don’t overthink it, its some damn good pizza.

We added our names to waiting list and had to wait around 40 mins. After 40ish mins, we ordered our pizzas and a pink sparkling wine. Margarita was great and the other pizza didn’t taste that delicious. Wine was so so as well. But the atmosphere was quite nice and we left happy :)

Everything at this Italian restaurant is exceptional! Despite it being a very busy evening, we were well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious; I can't quite recall the starter, but it was incredible. The pizza was out of this world, and the best part was the tiramisu—it was so delicious!

Definitely not worth the /hype/. Reserved 1 year ago (!) for fun, which naturally builds up great expectations. The crust distinguishes itself as very soft and "fluffy" but completely lacking in a crispy bite. The toppings are unique but don't really show through the crust. The restaurant itself is substandard in terms of lighting and tables. Service staff friendly, nothing to complain about. There are better pizzas in Amsterdam and in my opinion this is not the "Number 1 in the Netherlands". PS, The starter (Guilty Marinara) was very tasty.

After so much reviews and anticipation of the best pizza in Amsterdam, it was a sheer disappointment - quality if pizza is mediocre and can be easily found elsewhere across typical italian pizzerias in the city. Ambience is poor and you feel pressure of ‘eat and run’ because of the walk-in crowd out there at doors waiting to be seated. The service is especially upsetting - rude and unapologetically neglectful, not even willing to speak to you, as they pretend to be seemed very busy with dozens of customers out there. There are bunch of much more customer friendly and tastier places for pizza in Overtoom and Zuid - including our favorite La Mangeria - waaaay better!

Pizza is really good, one of the best in Amsterdam. Only downside is you have to book almost 1 year ahead, not worth the wait of a year.

I visited nNea twice by now and have got to say, their Pizza is simply amazing. Probably the best I ever had! If you arrive as a walk-in guest you're waitlisted and get a call when a table is ready for you. We had to wait for about an hour on our first visit and almost two hours on the second one. But the wait is well worth it!!

AMAZING. The dough is so chewy and charred to perfection. I’ve been to Italy and this is just amazing pizza. The ingredients are so fresh and you can taste the love they put into every single pizza. Highly recommend to bless your mouth with some amazing pizza

What excellent pizza. This location was small and reservations are so far out that you can’t book. However they do take bar walk ins. We waited about 25 min for two people to eat at the bar. We went down the street to get a drink while we waited. It was totally worth it. If you don’t see a reservation don’t hesitate to try. You won’t regret it!

I went 35 minutes before opening on a weekend and there wasn't much of a line in front. It would be enough to go 15-20 minutes before opening. Pizza dough is really delicious Vincenzo's pizza has too much ham on top and is too salty, so I don't recommend it.

Very hard to reserve a seat, but you can walk in if you go here at just opening time 5:30pm. Pizza is really nice, especially octopus pizza is a must-have one

It is totally overrated: 1. Don’t recommend the Oro di Bufala pizza, it was sour and salty.. the Margherita was fine (nothing crazy) 2. The vibe is very stressful/busy/uncomfortable/tight 3. Service doesn’t really exist 4. It is just not worth the waiting.. you expect that if you wait there is a good reason for that… but no.. very disappointing

The food is amazing (that's why 5 stars). Very good pizza and I think it's totally worth to go. I just would like the improvement of two things: - spianata was not written it is some kind of meat (and I am vegetarian). I know that's not a problem of the company, it's more something about the culture of Europe of writing the name of the dishes without translation or explanation. There could be a simple saying that's meat, I don't know. - There were only 3 seats and I think they could make another table to put the food and eat at the spot. - maybe more kins of pizza. But of course, nothing denied that Marinara was incredible!!! Simple and perfect!

I was surprised how rude the hostess was when I asked how long the que is. She didn’t want to reply and asked me instead if I knew how much tables there are.. I was confused and felt a negative vibe as if she was annoyed. I went away after such an awkward moment it’s a shame that she doesn’t give the service you would expect at a place as Nnea. I hope that the manager or owner can talk her to sense. It’s not the way to speak to a customer.

Very busy but tasty restaurant for world class pizza

We had no reservation, so we waited like an hour. I enjoyed the pizza a lot. The atmosphere was really nice, full of people, but still nice.

Dough is incredibly good for the pizzas - and also for the delicious focaccia! What I really think is a shame is that there is Parmesan cheese everywhere. When I indicated that I did not prefer this because every Parmigiano Reggiano contains animal rennet (and is therefore NOT vegetarian, which is not a problem, but I simply do not eat this), I was told that their Parmigiano does not contain animal rennet. .but then it shouldn't be called that at all ;). Yet the waiter knew better, because he had been to the cheese factory and everything I said was laughed off and refuted in a nasty way, later on there was also visible gossip about me. Anyway: all vegetarian pizzas except the Terra are NOT vegetarian, please pay attention to this. They also don't leave out the Parmesan cheese if you ask, because it is already included in the sauce.

Our expectations were high and it was still better than expected. Margherita with buffalo mozzarella is very much recommended, the dough, tomato sauce and mozzarella are all incredible

Delicious Neapolitan pizza. It’s no surprise they have been named best pizza in the Netherlands and top 8 in Europe and #47 in the world pizza list. The staff was kind and prompt. We did not have reservations but our phone number was taken and called to return once a table was ready. We had the genovese appetizer. The dish was very good, a true Genovese sauce; however the sauce was not warmed all the way through. The pizzas came out quickly. The crust on one was slightly charred, but the quality of the dough was fantastic, as were the sauces and cheese. We were thrilled to visit to enjoy this slice of Napoli in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered two pizzas. They were very wet and undercooked. You couldn't eat them because they were falling apart.

Mamamia! We loved the pizza, the dough was just perfect, so light, chewy inside and crispy outside, with a nice sweet tone. The toppings were awesome as well, super delicious tomato sauce and cheese. I have tried already similar style pizza but this one was just way better.

Love the starter and tiramisu. Pizza is also nice, the toppings are unique and tasty. The dough is slighly sofer and more chewy than normal pizzas. Personally I feel the edge is bit too much and need a larger base to go with it. The stuff are busy but friendly. Our order was overlooked (recently happened quite often, and kinda got used to it...) but superisingly got a tiramisu as a treat. Felt happy again. Overall, a nice experience.

'number 1 in the Netherlands, 8 in Europe and 47 in the world'. That's how we were told. Unfortunately I was NOT able to experience this quality. Firstly, I thought the restaurant had an unpleasant atmosphere. Everything is very tightly stuck together, the chairs creak from all sides and there was no nice lighting atmosphere. Secondly, the pizza was extremely mediocre. We had the margherita and two others (the names of which I can't remember exactly). It tasted like dough and oil; in an unpleasant way. Don't get me wrong, I still give the pizzas a 7/7.5, but the fact that I had to make a reservation a year in advance for 'the number 1 in the Netherlands' is absolutely not worth it for this restaurant. Furthermore, the tiramisu and the ricotta were of terrible quality: both had a cardboard-like taste, and the cream with the ricotta did not taste fresh. The service was fine. Nice and very friendly staff, nothing to complain about. All in all, I think this restaurant does NOT deserve the hype. You can do much better elsewhere for cheaper, tastier and better food (plus at other places you don't have to wait a year)

Probably worth the hype, could be that I picked the wrong pizza but it was recommended as a vegetarian option and it was kinda disappointing the other one on the other hand was very very good. In general really an amazing restaurant. If I am being critical I personally like to have a little less sauce because you have a very thin bottom and the sauce is overwhelming. Overall very good

We have heard about how good of this pizza place so we booked a few months in advance. It’s quite busy and a bit tight as there are so many tables. We ordered appetizers, pizza and tiramisu. We loved them all! The appetizers are so fresh and delicious. The pizzas are sooo good! The pizza dough is very good and thin which is the way I like. If you are looking for a crispy pizza then this might be a place for you. The tiramisu is what you need to order for a dessert if you still have space. The staffs are very friendly and also helpful. You can ask for their suggestions. But since full of customers so they are busy running around. You can feel that there is lack of attentive and need to wait for sometimes until you can get to talk to the staffs. They accepted walk-in customers but of course, you still need to wait for queues anyway. Make sure you book in advance and arrive on time!

We should have reserved a year in advance. We had reserved a table at 7:45 PM. It was extremely busy. The pizzas were very tasty. I had the cotto pizza with roasted potatoes and gammon. Highly recommended. The tiramisu was good too. Not too sweet luckily. If you manage to get a table it is definitely worth it.

I was disappointed with the taste after I read this should be the 9th best pizza in Europe. It went cold very quickly - don’t know if this is part of the Neapolitan experience but I did not love it. In general an “ok“ pizza - had better ones in random pizza places around the world. Also a bit on the (too) expensive side for me. The dessert was also just ok - too sweet for me. (as info, the heart was from me, not part of the dessert presentation since I was on date night 😀) Service tried its best, so no complaints here. restaurant atmosphere was loud and crowded, but I assume this is caused by being a hype place in Amsterdam. To close it, I think you can get better food in Amsterdam.

My pizza experience has changed forever since my visit to Nnea. I have never eaten a pizza where the base is so soft and tender that you can cut it with scissors. The interior is simple but cozy. It is busy inside and the tables are close together, but that just adds to the experience. The expectations were quite high (top 50 worldwide) because we had reserved more than a year in advance. Fortunately the pizzas were not disappointing, I had the Margarita with bufala (buffalo mozzarella) and my table companion the Terra. Delicious pizzas, it takes some getting used to the super soft and thin crust, but you get used to it very quickly and it just tastes great. Good ingredients and made with love. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was wonderfully soft and tasty. We were ultimately the last guests in the restaurant, but we were allowed to stay for a long time, which was very nice. Parking is available in the Bilderdijkstraat and costs €6.50 per hour (reference date Oct 2024). I will definitely try this place again.
