The place per se it’s nice but we waited far too long for the table to be cleaned, even though staff acknowledged the delay. Then we were charged 5 euros for tap water just because it came in a carafe instead of glasses. Honestly, unbelievable…especially for a place inside a library that’s supposed to be affordable for students. A bit disappointing not gonna lie.

Not worth repeating. It's a nice location, with a view of the Oudegracht canal. I popped in to study for a bit, and it took quite a while before anyone came. I went to the bar to order my own cappuccino, but that wasn't possible. Someone would come by. A good system for keeping things separate, if it works... The cappuccino did arrive fairly quickly, though only slightly warm. I finally sat down for a bit, but when I paid, I was shocked by the price. €4.25 for a regular cappuccino, in a small cup. Absolutely not okay. Next time, move on to one of the 20 other great study spots.

A complete mess, waiting an hour and a half for lunch, which was ultimately served at the wrong table, and then asking if we wanted that from those guests. We were also filmed and photographed without permission because of some event taking place there... surely you've never heard of the GDPR and guest privacy?

The staff were very friendly and helpful! I recently placed an incorrect order (I had ordered for someone else with an allergy, which I forgot; very clumsy of me). The staff took the order back and immediately made a new one.

Although located in the city center, it's situated in an upstairs building. The space is comfortable and quiet. The coffee is also quite good!

Not worth repeating. Long wait, and then it turned out part of the order wasn't there (with two hungry children). Bagels weren't baked properly. Tuna melt and falafel wrap weren't worth the money: dry, tasteless, and overpriced for what you get. You can make it better at home.

Had lunch with my 2 year old son after visiting the library. Nice place with friendly staff but we had to wait a very long time. Too bad the staff didn't notice us at first and then it took another 45 min. before it was ready. The ham and cheese sandwich only contained cheese.

We had an avocado bagel here and it was very tasty. We were less satisfied with the coffee. Didn't look good and tasted very mediocre.

I was asked for a small or a large coffee. She showed me the cups. I wanted a large cup, but it was only half filled with coffee and that for €4.25!! Really absurd. Next time I'll just walk to the AH to go!

For a work event we rented Noda in the evening. This way we could enjoy the ambiance of the building and still have privacy. The food was completely vegetarian and super tasty! The service was good, we enjoyed it. We will definitely come back next time.

The vibes are nice and the servers as well. My bad review is of the product. The hot Chai Latte is just milk with the store bought chai mix that you can buy for €5. It doesn't taste like anything. I asked for cinnamon or nutmeg which are basic ingredients for a chai latte or a cafe in general, and apparently they don't use any. I don't know who came up with the recipes the workers have to follow, but they need to make it way better. Also the Banana Bread was cold and hard, they should warm it up a bit before serving it.

Hidden place in the library in the center of Utrecht. View of the canal from the window side. We had brie and tuna melt sandwich with cappuccino and fresh orange juice. Nice service. In short, we enjoyed a delicious lunch.

I asked if it was possible to get tea in my thermos cup (while studying in the library). That was possible! Paid 3.02 only to find out that the cup was half full and there was only pickwick tea. Mediocre. Of course, it can be said that you should not expect the same amount. However, I don't take a seat there, I don't use crockery and I don't get a cookie. And well, Pickwick... expected something better for that price. Edit: especially if they also promote to go.

We ordered two caramel latte macchiatos here. There were three people behind the bar and we still had to wait 20 minutes. Besides us, there are three other tables occupied... so not busy.

The interior is cosy and neatly done. The barista is welcoming and nice. Has the potential to become a great spot. I ordered a cappuccino for 4.10 euros. I don't mind the price for a specialty cup but for a library it's pricey. The coffee I received was not good. The portafilters were gross. The steam nozzle wasn't clean. The barista didn't tamp the coffee. The extraction time was about 10 seconds. The milk was steamed a few times and therefore bubbly. It's a pity because the ingredients seemed good but the way the coffee was prepared was just sad. I gave back the coffee as it was too bad to drink.

What a beautiful and unique place to have lunch in Utrecht. Delicious soup with baguette and herb butter, and my friend had a wrap. After this we enjoyed a mini pastry (brownie and carrot cake), a nice snack for after lunch. Staff is very friendly and pays close attention. I will definitely come back again!!

The food never came (60 min for a sandwich).

The soup was tasty but the service was poor. I came here for the first time, it looks nice and the atmosphere is relaxed. But the service is really bad. Dreamy, disinterested and not very customer friendly. I don't think I'll come back here again.

Management is very poor. I've been there twice now and spent an average of fifteen minutes there, the service is there dreaming and they don't see the customers. So take a seat at Mr. Potter's, where the service is very alert and customer-oriented. Note; I sat twice in 2 different places, it was not very busy and I was not in the self-service section. The woman next to me was served. It's a shame that the owner does not take responsibility for this. its staff.

Was here for a conference, everything was fantastically arranged. Delicious lunch, good drinks, everything well organised.

“… enjoy an extensive breakfast” is written on the website, and I was just looking forward to that. As it turns out, a croissant is the only breakfast there is. So you don't have to come here for an extensive breakfast. There was also a few loud grumblings in the kitchen, which did not improve the atmosphere. Too bad, because I really like the location, design and acoustics.

Wonderful place to chill and relax while reading your book, studying or working

Phew… where to start. There was no spinach to be seen in the spinach smoothie, it was more like frozen ready-to-drink apple juice without any fresh produce in it. The 'grilled sandwich' was a grilled cheese sandwich, made from the cheapest bread. The bagel was old. We had to ask three times if we could take an order. Meanwhile, an employee was instructed not to serve honey with mint tea because honey is expensive. In other words, it was not 'worldly enjoyment'. And it was anything but fresh. Expensive and we were anything but full. A shame in such a beautiful place.

We had lunch in a very quiet restaurant. Despite having to wait 40 minutes for our chicken & avocado wraps, which were rich in tomato and cucumber and the chicken was very hard to find. We are not full and we regret eating here... you will definitely find something better in the beautiful heart of Utrecht!

Beautiful cafe inside Neude Bibliotheek. Perfect for grabbing your cup of coffee half-way through your studies or reading at the library.

Place and service is good. The food is not their strenght. Ordered a tuna wrap (9 euros) with a joke amount of filling. Very dissapointing, they could do better, it was like a tablespoon of tuna.

Secret top location for a coffee or a sandwich. The view of the Oudegracht is great. Service since a bit slow, but the library vibe is great.

Bagel with avocado and 'tomato salsa'. A bagel with little toppings, no seasonings and the tomato salsa was just diced tomatoes. €7 is very expensive. 👎🏻 The last time I was there I was not helped and left after half an hour

A nice friend invited me to have lunch at NODA. I had not had lunch here before and I am always up for something new. Because I met an old colleague at the entrance of the restaurant, with whom I of course had a quick chat, it was actually immediately pleasant. And when I met one of my best friends at the restaurant, it became even more fun. And yes, there was my nice friend who had invited me and reserved a table by the window. It was super fun with her. Our lunch was also delicious and not expensive. So........another successful lunch spot.

Had lunch with 2 adults plus toddler. Tasty tuna Melt. Freshly made, warm, crusty bread, good curry majo on the side. Flatbread also fine. Smoothies fresh and fortunately not too sour or watery. Beautiful view from a kind of wooden stand with cozy cushions for our little one. This tent is really underrated on Google.

Very bad service, waited there for 15min and no one took the order.

Long wait for a cold pulled chicken sandwich

Really nice staff and cute place, but the food and the coffee it’s outrageous! A ‘slice’ of banana bread is 2.75 and you only get a quarter of a normal size, cold and hard. Furthermore, the coffee is most of the times burned.

We stumbled across this eetbar and was pleasantly surprised. Very delicious food all around, and a very cozy atmosphere. The views overlooking the canal is also very beautiful.

Velvety smooth cappuccino prepared by a knowledgeable barista. Nice view of the Oudegracht. A “downside” - and that is personal taste - is the (too) loud (pop) music.

Nice place for coffee and to read and relax a bit… can be slightly noisy if there are many people.

A lovely, quiet cafe tucked away in the heart of the city. The interior is exquisitely decorated, in soothing pastel colors with modern, comfortable furnishings. The food (chicken and vegan wraps) is decent, however, I missed a wow factor. Noda definitely has loads of potential to be a go to spot in Utrecht.

I had been here before for a coffee and was really pleasantly surprised, but I won't be coming back here for lunch. I had the couscous salad but salad is really too big a word for the portion you get and the price you pay. A little lettuce, raw couscous, mint, watermelon and feta is nice for a dish, but not for 14.50. My friend had the pulled chicken sandwich but this was also miniature. Delicious orange juice and very friendly service.

The service could have explained a little better that small dishes are really bites, and that you actually have to order 2 dishes for lunch. The price doesn't match that at all. A hot chicken sandwich also consists of one normal sized sandwich with a topping, which is tasty, but just not what you expect. My small dish was unfortunately incomplete, they had forgotten the pomegranate and feta for the lamb neck.

Even for this location, for 3 euros of coffee to go you expect a little more / better quality

We had a delicious meal at Noda, we chose the 5 course dinner because we couldn't choose between all the delicious dishes. We got very tasty, varied courses for a good price. In addition, a compliment to the staff, what friendly people. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back here!

VERY rude staff. I understand the no laptop policy. However, 1) other cafés have more flexible policies that allow you to stay if the café is empty (and that's what happened to me today: there were loads of free tables, yet I got kicked out after taking my laptop out of my bag). I appreciate flexible policies much much better (and it also is more profitable for you! For example today I ended up getting my orange juice somewhere else). 2) There are ways and ways to kick people out. Please at least be kind instead of making me feel like I committed a crime. I noticed particularly strong irritability towards international students. This creates a very bad image... Really a pity because the atmosphere and the location are very nice!

Very nice, quiet place with a nice menu of share dinning dishes. We had a very nice experience there. Dishes were delicious, choice of dessert was limited but very tasty (tiramisu and chocolate mousse) and a wonderfully quiet atmosphere. Definitely come back again. Staff friendly.

Once you find this restaurant, you will definitely come back here. What a beautiful place, view of the old canal from above, lots of light through the many windows. Recommended!

Noda is in a surprising place. And from here you have a beautiful view over the old canal and a large part of the old center of Utrecht. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is just as surprising as the restaurant, it looks beautiful. And tastes delicious. Highly recommended to go.

Last Friday, July 23, the sisters' day started in the Nodabar with a delicious lunch. We enjoyed the Tuna melt, chicken & avocado wrap and the farmer's bread eggplant salsa. Really great. Would have liked another sandwich... So for us... Worth repeating. Great, also the coffee and various fresh types of tea... Superrrrr. Even the welcome was very warm. We felt really welcome in the cozy refreshing ambiance in Post Utrecht aan de Neude. We will definitely come back. Kind regards, from the 5 "girls" De Vriese
