Nomads aan het IJ was echt een topervaring! Elk gerecht voelde als een kleine explosie van smaken, compleet gemaakt met de heerlijke bijpassende wijnen. De sfeer is relaxed, prachtig uitzicht over het water en supervriendelijk personeel. Ik kom hier sowieso nog eens terug als ik weer in Nederland ben!

Bueno, eso fue fantástico. Desde el momento en que cruzamos la puerta nos cuidaron. Los cursos y vinos que acompañan fantástico, el personal amable y atento. La vista siempre cambiante del río era encantadora. Increíble y no muy caro. Si eres vegano o estás considerando serlo y estás en Amsterdam l, esto es imprescindible. Estoy seguro de que es bastante bueno si comes carne también. Encantador.

What a fantastic restaurant! We went here last night and enjoyed all the Sail boats. We chose the vegan menu, and it was divine! And what a fantastic team of people who work here; it was truly a treat, and they make mindful eating a real experience!

We were initially disappointed as the view of Sail was limited, which I felt was not as advertised. The experience was nice, with the whole ‘guess which country this dish represents’ and the staff were lovely, but I didn’t feel that the food was exceptional. The tastiest part was the appetizer that was not even part of the 6 courses! We had a nice evening, the wine was good!

Super friendly and attentive service. But the price/quality ratio is simply not in line. I paid almost €700 for a dinner for 4 (including 2 bottles of wine) during Sail. Truly outrageous. The food simply isn't worth that price. The presentation is okay, but the taste and preparation are far below par. It's brasserie-style, while you'd expect fine dining for €125 per menu. For that price, you can also go to Michelin-starred restaurants like De Kas, Rijks, etc. It feels like a tourist trap. Unfortunately. But the service wasn't the problem.

Unvergesslicher Abend zum Geburtstag während der Sailwoche Anlässlich meines Geburtstags war ich gemeinsam mit meinem Mann und einem befreundeten Paar zu Gast im Restaurant – und was soll ich sagen: Es war einfach atemberaubend! Schon beim Betreten wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und der Service war den ganzen Abend über erstklassig. Die Kellner*innen haben sich große Mühe gegeben, uns die sechs Gänge des Menüs ausführlich und mit viel Leidenschaft zu erklären. Jeder einzelne Gang war ein Genuss für alle Sinne – ein kulinarisches Erlebnis auf höchstem Niveau. Als besonderes Highlight gab es zum Dessert sogar eine kleine Fontäne, begleitet von einem Geburtstagslied, das das gesamte Team mitgesungen hat – ein unglaublich rührender Moment, den ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde. Durch die Sailwoche hatten wir zudem den perfekten Blick auf die vorbeiziehenden Schiffe und das anschließende Feuerwerk – einfach traumhaft. So einen schönen, rundum gelungenen Abend hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese wundervolle Erinnerung!

We had a delightful evening with a spectacular view. It was a very creative and tasty food and wine experience.

We enjoyed the SAIL IN experience in a private setting while enjoying delicious food and drinks. There was a lot of attention paid to the different flavors and the presentation was enthusiastic. The atmosphere was fantastic.

It's just average, the food, the wines, a 6.5-7. For the price they're asking, it's subpar. If you're perfectly happy with a medium-sized restaurant, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. We were quite tempted by the seemingly high Google rating, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to it.

Amazing, brilliant and really such a beautiful evening! Couldn't ask for anything more.. we had so much fun and an amazing experience with the staff, the food, the view.. We were the first to arrive and the last to leave and with our group of 6 and the team of Nomad and the delicious food and wines, this night was perfect. Thank you!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I had high hopes for this dinner, especially since it was meant to celebrate a special occasion for my mother. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. To begin with, the food was nowhere near fine dining quality. We had clearly informed the staff at the start about dietary restrictions, yet dishes containing those ingredients were still served to us. It felt careless and disrespectful. Service was equally poor. None of the drinks we ordered were brought to our table unless I personally went to the bar to chase them down. Throughout the meal, ingredients were reused across multiple courses, making the menu feel repetitive and uninspired. Most dishes lacked flavor and could have benefited from something as basic as salt and pepper. Despite informing the staff that we were celebrating my mother, there was no special attention given. Another table received a celebratory sparkler, while we were left awkwardly watching, expecting the same—especially since the host had congratulated my mother when we arrived. Clearly, they were aware of the occasion but chose to ignore it. The final course was never cleared, and no one offered us coffee or tea. Once again, we had to go to the bar ourselves just to ask for the bill. For the amount I paid, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food or thoughtful service.

Yesterday, a group of eight enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at Nomad aan het IJ. What a fantastic experience; everything was perfect! Good food, lovely, friendly service, and a great story. A truly ideal spot if you're looking for high-end dining without the "stuffiness" of many other upscale restaurants. The concept of traveling the world and having to guess which country a dish comes from is a fun way to brainstorm with each other about what you're actually eating. We had a great experience here! Every course of the vegan menu was a highlight, creative, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. It felt more like a story unfolding than just a meal, with each dish offering a glimpse into a different part of the world. The people running the place clearly love what they do, super welcoming, passionate, and just really good vibes all around. The setting by the water adds to the charm. This spot has become a must-visit for us whenever we’re in Amsterdam.

Great storytelling from the owner/server when presenting the dishes. The food was great. Pricing was reasonable. Only complaint, was each dish was spaced ~30 minutes apart which is tough when they are tasting menu sized dishes. Over 3 hours for 6 dishes is a lot.

My second time here, visiting from Scotland. Had a beautiful evening at this restaurant. Service was exceptional. Made us feel welcome and relaxed. Lovely view of the River Ij while we eat. Food was delicious - 6 courses each inspired by a different country. Staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Mi marido nos llevó aquí por mis 40 años durante el fin de semana, ya IT tenía un menú degustación vegano de 6 platos. La comida era agradable, aunque hemos tenido mucho mejor donde. Esto no valió la pena el precio en absoluto. No estábamos bebiendo alcohol e IT todavía tomó 3 horas y media en total, unos 20-40 minutos de espera entre platos. Definitivamente no tuvimos la noche llena de diversión que nos dijeron que obtendríamos cuando nos sentáramos, parte del personal estaba bebiendo el vino y un miembro del personal en particular estaba bastante borracho cuando nos íbamos. Cuando nos preguntaron de qué país venía el curso/comida y cuál era cada curso, tomó más tiempo después de IT tanto tiempo para que la comida llegara a la mesa, lo que hizo que la comida se enfriara antes de comerla, esperar nos quitó cualquier diversión y también nos hizo sentir bastante inadecuados, ya que no éramos buenos en las preguntas y nos sugirieron comer más despacio. En realidad soy un come lento que ya trata de comer conscientemente todos los días. Hubo un hombre que dio un gran servicio y realmente parecía saber lo que estaba haciendo, pero el otro personal carecía de esto. IT no era la experiencia que esperábamos, en realidad estábamos aburridos durante todo el tiempo y en realidad desearíamos haber comido en otro lugar por el costo y tiempo IT tomó de nuestras vacaciones. Una verdadera pena. No recomendaría y no volveré.

Disappointing. Waiting for almost an hour between each course was really not pleasant. The dishes themselves were not upto the mark either, definitely not what you'd expect from a restaurant that claims to be a fine dining place. While we were there, we also noticed other guests who had left before their course had finished. By the end we were just happy to head home. The only thing to make up for this to an extent was the location and the friendliness of the servers.

This was our second time dining at Nomad aan het IJ, and it was exceptionally good again, from the food to the service. We received a warm welcome and were helped by Ronald and Juan Carlos. Thanks to both for a lovely and enjoyable evening! (Thanks also to the kitchen; the dishes were delicious.)

The quality of the food was excellent. Creative, innovative, lots of vegetables, and delicious fish. Nothing but good things to say about the service. Friendly people and also very efficient. We didn't wait too long between courses. The wine was served on time and perfectly paired. We will definitely be back. A few things to note: as in many restaurants, the red wine was too warm. Room temperature is 17 to 18 degrees Celsius, not the temperature in the restaurant. The excellent Japanese whiskey tasted great, but €22 is simply too much for one glass. Afterwards, we had a nice glass of Orangello and went home satisfied. A very good choice for a pleasant evening of delicious food and drinks.

The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere – stylish and cozy. We were particularly impressed by the very friendly and attentive service – you immediately feel at ease and well looked after. The meal was a true highlight: beautifully presented, with the highest level of flavor – a firework for the senses! Each course was like a little excursion into another culinary world. You couldn't just enjoy the food, you could truly celebrate it. An unforgettable experience – simply perfect!

Warme ontvangst door aardig personeel. We hebben een 5 gangen diner met bijbehorend wijnarrangement besteld. De amuse was top, de Portugese soep hebben we laten staan. Was niet lekker. Ook het vlees was droog met stukken hard vet eraan was niet smaakvol. De andere gerechten waren best lekker en mooi opgediend maar niet heel bijzonder.

What a welcome, what an atmosphere, and what fantastic food! It was an experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The warmth, the storytelling—how you're drawn into the experience. The menu was carefully curated, and the staff's passion for food is palpable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything was perfect; we were surprised and were able to truly relax. I don't want to give too much away, but I encourage everyone to treat themselves and their loved ones to this experience.

They curated a lovely dining experience that took me through countries and cuisines I certainly wouldn’t have tried otherwise. So disappointingly bad that we left after the second course. Quality far below what you would expect in this price range. The location is great and if you sit by the window like we did, you have a beautiful view of the IJ. The restaurant is nicely decorated, warm and atmospheric. We ordered the five-course menu with wine pairing. The service is very friendly. A bit gimmicky; you get hints to guess which country the next course comes from, with a chance of a high five if you are correct. Personally I thought it was a bit too theatrical, you have to like that. We start with a simple amuse, a crispy cup with a combination of sweet, sour and slightly peppery. In itself a good combination of flavours, but the dry cup dominates in terms of texture and reminds me a bit too much of the one from HEMA. The presentation is not very refined. Bread is served: it looks like wholesale pre-baked rolls that you would get at any brasserie. The two vegan butters that we get with it are more interesting: 1 with red onion, 1 with spring onion. The first course is inspired by Portugal. The difference between Portuguese caldo verde and this potato soup is that what is served here is watery and tastes like nothing. The potato chips that lie on the soup are already soggy before you sink your spoon into it. When asked what we thought of it, we say that we unfortunately find it very bland - they have heard that before, the waiter said, but it was because of the chef's healthy choice not to use salt. It is incomprehensible that you leave this on your menu when you often get feedback that your dish tastes like nothing. Cooking without salt can be your concept, but if we have to pay 250 euros at the end of the ride, you have to make sure that taste is provided in other ways. The next course would make up for it, we were promised. The second course is indeed better. Inspired by Tom Kha Pla, Thai fish soup, this layer of soup does have flavor because of the coconut milk, lemongrass and galangal. The fish and fish eggs, the main ingredient in my partner's version, are fine. In the vegetarian version that I get, however, there is a carrot floating that has been in a pan for a while but is not more interesting than that. This still does not rise above the level of a brasserie and we have little confidence in the next courses. We treat ourselves to a fine dining evening about twice a year, that is not a small expense for us, so it better be worth it. It is definitely not worth it here. With some hesitation we tell the waiter that we are sitting there reluctantly. Fortunately, this is handled well: we only pay for the wine (about that: I'm whelmed), get a recommendation for an Italian restaurant and are kindly let out. You can get much better in this price range, and this is not worthy of the name fine dining. Strongly discouraged.

We had an amazing evening with great food and wine. The service was awesome!

Nice dining location with great service. However, there are some points for improvement: We were a group of eight people and it took more than three hours before we got all the small dishes. That is really too long. In addition, some dishes, such as the potato soup and the coalfish, were prepared with clearly too much (olive) oil. The ingredients literally floated in it, which made the dish a waste, unless you want to take a sip of oil. In addition, several guests lacked spices on their dishes and no salt or pepper on the table. Finally, the portions were very small. Many of us were still hungry afterwards and therefore ate something else. This is of course a shame considering the price we paid.

We had given away the "culinary world tour" and it was a wonderful evening. The food was very good, wonderfully presented and with great vegan components. The staff was very attentive and advised us very well regarding the wine. It was a successful evening and the restaurant is really recommended.

Our last night in the Netherlands was a treat thanks to Ronald, the owner – and culinary tour guide. If you are in the city, book a table with Ronald and his incredible team, and go the full six courses. Chef Denisa created a brilliant series of dishes from around the planet, and Ronald’s showmanship and storytelling made sure we enjoyed every bite. Bedankt, and here’s to new friends and adventures!

Wow! This place made me think I want to be vegan. All dishes were spot on, original and unique in every way (Flavours textures ingredients). The meat was done to perfection but the vegan dishes blew my mind. Couldn't believe my own taste buds. 100% recommend it

Place to come, slow down and enjoy the food. The dishes we tried were all carefully crafted by the staff in the kitchen, and served with a smile and full purpose to our table. Vegan dishes mixed with fish and meat dishes, all were surprisingly good and got us very satisfied.

Unique concept, amazing staff and owners from all over the world, most importantly delicious fusion cuisine. Must do when in Amsterdam!

We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was worth it!! The 5-course vegan menu is fulfilling. The owners take care of your dietary needs and also explains what you are eating!! They are very attentive to each one of the guests.

Booked this for my birthday dinner for my first visit to Amsterdam, and it was such a lovely atmosphere, food was great, the staff were amazing, they really went out of their way to make the evening feel special. Would highly recommend.

I had high expectations but they weren't met. While the food was fine, it wasn't amazing. It was the service that let us down most though. We were never given a drinks menu and the thought that we didn't drink alcohol seemed to shock the staff. Empty glasses were ignored, only the food experience seemed to matter. However, we had also requested that certain ingredients would not be used and they ended up on our plates anyway.

The evening started promisingly: beautiful location on the IJ, atmospheric interior, pleasant reception. The dishes look nice, but actually lack taste. A few more herbs or spices are really needed! We had wine pairing, but that seemed like something. For example, the wine (with screw cap) was introduced as ‘sauvignon blanc’. The ‘sommelier’ didn’t even know that it didn’t necessarily have to come from France. Great fresh taste by the way. Service friendly, but very slow. Too bad, because it has (I think) real potential!

The food was really nice and was a nice experience to taste different dishes from different countries in an evening. The service was nice until the end of the night when it felt that we had to wait longer for the last 2 dishes and for the bill.

The food was great, original dishes and unique flavours. The service was amazing, attentive staff who can bring the food at the pace you like so you don’t half an hour between dishes like in some other places. The view is nice as well.

Great multi-course options also vegan and vegetarian options. The service was super friendly and attentive, putting a lot of effort into ensuring guests to have a great experience.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the restaurant had a cosy atmosphere. The staff gave good introductions to the courses. Unfortunately, the food was bland and was lacking character and spice. As a person that normally finds food to salty, this was really lacking it. We missed acid or freshness, or something extra. For the high price this was, unfortunately, a big disappointment.

Great food and the atmosphere is fantastic. Staff are so friendly and helpful. This is the third time we’ve been and always a great night! Marked the food down a little this time as the entrecôte was not very good but all the other dishes were great. Vegetarians will love it!

Beautiful place (ask for a table by the window!), delicious surprise menu (in our case, vegetarian upon request), passionate, fun owner, and excellent service. In short, we had a great evening. For people coming from outside Amsterdam: Public transport: 7 minutes walk from Central Station. Car: Parking garage literally underneath the restaurant, where you can reserve in advance for ten euros for the entire evening.

A short walk from central Amsterdam to a modern street. Special architecture where Nomad is located. The restaurant is not very large but has a few tables with a beautiful view of the IJ. Here we took a 6 course menu for a reasonable price. Each dish was served with care, you take part in a quiz where you can guess the origin of each dish, super friendly staff. They really take the time for the guests. The dishes were all excellent combinations. Can definitely recommend the restaurant if you want some good luxury food but don't want to pay the full price. Make a reservation and ask for a window seat for a beautiful view.

What an absolute fantastic experience! We did the 5 course menu and I cannot say enough good things about the food, atmosphere, and the best thing: the staff!!! We will absolutely be back at this wonderful restaurant and cannot wait to see our new friends from the staff there again! 10 stars!

What a wonderful evening we had and what a new experience of dining out this was. The service is unbelievably good. The employees are incredibly friendly, cheerful, funny and full of passion. Thanks to them we had a great "food trip" and our evening was more than successful. The food was perfectly prepared and we had a taste experience that we have never experienced before. You are taken into the story, you consciously taste and smell and what a taste sensation that gives! The location and decor are beautiful. The combination with the Comedy Cafe completely completed our evening. Thank you for this wonderful evening and the new food experience. Keep doing the work like you do, the concept is great and we would love to come back again!

Hermoso y romántico restaurante con excelentes vistas. Nos encontramos con este restaurante y no podría haber estado más contento. Nos recibieron con cálidas sonrisas y solo mejoró a partir de ahí. Elegimos el menú degustación con maridaje de vinos. La comida de cada uno de los países se presentó maravillosamente y todo tenía sabores únicos y maravillosos. Realmente una experiencia maravillosa.

Very nicely received by the host. He gave a super warm welcome, nice explanation about Nomad and a beautiful table with a view of the IJ. We thought the best aspect of the menu was guessing which country formed the basis for each course. A delicious wine arrangement completed the evening. A positive critical point; of the 5 courses, most were from Europe and Asia. Adding South America or Africa would have made the evening even more 'worldly'.

The place is really nice, with a lovely view to the river. The current menu was a trip around the world, which was fun to guess and to enjoy. The food was great as well as the atmosphere, the best thing is the extensive wine list (including non-alcohol options). I would recommend for any special night clebration!!

Attractive restaurant on the IJ with a beautiful view. Extremely nice service and a very nice introduction to each dish, including a small quiz: that turns an exceptionally nice and tasty dinner into an evening out! Chef determines the menu with sufficient options for special (dietary) wishes. A lot of attention is paid to vegetables and we actively work to combat food waste, but above all exceptionally tasty and original dishes.

De binnenkomst was warm en we voelden ons meteen op ons gemak. Jammergenoeg liet de uitvoering wat te wensen over. Het zou voor het restaurant een goede investering zijn om een bordenwarmer te kopen, zodat de warme gerechten ook warm aankomen aan de tafel en de gasten van een lekker warm gerecht kunnen genieten. De bediening is wat rommelig.

Wow! Qué experiencia 👏 Desde el momento en que llegamos a la puerta principal y fuimos recibidos por el anfitrión a salir casi 3 horas después lleno y feliz. El restaurante es precioso y muy cómodo, con vistas increíbles sobre el río. El personal de servicio es atento, bien informado y muy amable, creando un ambiente relajado y positivo. La comida era absolutamente deliciosa. Nos sorprendió cómo el chef puede tomar ingredientes tan simples y crear una comida que te hace pensar y sentir tanto, manteniéndote en el momento, apreciando y disfrutando realmente la comida que estás comiendo. Simplemente no queríamos que la noche terminara. Gracias 😊

Great service, beautiful space, fun concept with each course inspired by a country. The duck and mushroom dish was amazing, and the kimchi risotto was another highlight. The salmon dumplings with caviar was just okay. Wish they took AmEx.

Disappointed. This is being totally honest. Having dined at several fine dining establishments and also being a chef in my prior years this didn’t have any wow factor on any of the dishes. We were there for over 3 and half hours so as much as its nice to space the courses out this I think was too much. Starters was a soup, lacked depth or even adequate season, it was very light but was quite watery and just lacked any depth of flavour. We also had a risotto dish, but whilst it was nice enough it wasnt anything special, it was strangely served with ice cold diced tomatoes so the hot and cold contrast just didnt work. Mains was duck with a pomme puree. Its ok but every dish tasted exactly like you expected, no surprises or interesting combinations. Duck can be quite a bland meat and needs some creativity which I am afraid was lacking. The dessert was a panna cotta and some cookie crumble and berry mousse. While it was ok its just very safe option, where is the creativity? The panna cotta also lacked flavour, and overly firm, likely too much gelatine leaf. It’s a shame as panna cotta is such a common dish you really got to knock it out the park if you want to be adding it to your fine dining menu, this one was honestly boring. Staff were pleasant enough and spoke through the dishes, would of been nice to clear the tables down and get rid of empty glasses and offer more drinks. Meal was over €200 and thats just with two bottles of beer and water. Cutlery is also very cheap and dosnt match what the price and level it appears they are trying to achieve. Overall disappointing, I was expecting more technical dishes that come along with fine dining but this failed to impress, but I hope the feedback can be used to be constructive. The other reviews seem really good and thats what drew us to choose Nomad but the reality for is fell well below what I would expect from a fine dining establishment.

This was a shame... We made a reservation here based on the promising reviews. Nice to try something new for once. Received a very friendly welcome upon arrival. The location is great and these people did their best, but I really wouldn't go there again. The cutlery and tablecloth were dirty, and the sofa had also been covered in some food scraps. The food was flat, greasy and every dish was served with the same garnish. The wine list was limited and was poured for 3 sips (price per glass 12 eu). Well, that's a shame because for the bill you would expect it to be tip top. In summary: not worth the money.

After the many extremely positive reviews, downright disappointing. Service was often friendly and the ambiance on the IJ was excellent. The food, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. Nice concept, a journey around the world, but almost every dish has the same garnish (flowers and young sprouts) and the flavors were often flat. Wine list is limited and the glasses are very limited. Three sips for a glass of 12 euros each is simply unacceptable. All in all, it is a nice concept, but the price-quality ratio is completely lost. For this money (100 euros + per person) there are much better options in Amsterdam. So think twice before booking.

Yesterday we had dinner with our family at Nomad a/h IJ in a nice environment, overlooking the IJ. The food was delicious, subtle and a nice formula of different dishes from different countries. And above all, an enthusiastic team and great service. Really good choice!

Mixed bag! Pros: - friendly staff - interesting ideas behind the dishes, truly original cooking - good wine - amazing view Cons (we’re very critical snobs) - dishes need more editing. Some had way too many elements (for example the amuse) that at best could not be distinguished, at their worst made the course feel imbalanced. - stop adding edible flowers to every course - instead, make sure everything is properly salted, this wasnt the case. We especially needed more salt in the vegan butter and in the “kimchi” rice (also more kimchi please..) - we got a lot of vegan dairy (feta, cream cheese, butter with the bread) - we didnt fully understand why: some options were really not as tasty - we got a very sweet dish before the main course that felt out of place and more like a dessert (the puff pastry with feta) - wine pairing requires a bit more work. Some combinations were a bit odd/clashed. - staff indicated they didnt have any port wine. Weird in a fine dining spot.

It was our anniversary dinner and each course was delicious, aroma of every ingredients and every course was plated beautifully. Thank you for a wonderful experience

What an amazing dinning experience. The food was both elegant and delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful & relaxing. The service superb. If you get to Amsterdam you MUST make Nomad a stop. The 6 course menu with wine pairings exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

Yesterday we had a real 'fine dining experience' for the first time with a few friends at Nomad aan het IJ. Extremely friendly and enthusiastic service with a lot of knowledge. We were led by the hand along various corridors (and associated countries). The wine list also matched the dishes very well. I won't add any description/photos (because spoilers), but it was definitely worth our time and money! Highly recommended.

Food: The five-course menu offered some delightful dishes, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful vegan-forward touches, such as the use of coconut butter. The interactive element of guessing the country associated with each dish was a fun and engaging twist. However, while enjoyable, the flavors weren't intense and didn’t strongly evoke the intended countries. Some dishes stood out for their creativity and uniqueness, especially compared to other fine dining experiences, but others fell short of the same level of excellence. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience with room for some improvement. 4/5 Service: The service team was exceptionally friendly, and we enjoyed the engaging conversations with the staff. That said, there are a few areas where the service could be improved: 1. We requested the vegetarian menu but were served fish dishes. Upon clarification, we learned that their definition of "vegetarian" included fish, which is actually pescatarian. While this was promptly resolved by switching to the vegan menu, it’s crucial for future reference that terms like vegetarian, pescatarian, and vegan are used accurately to avoid confusion. 2. After finishing our prosecco, we received the wine menu and ordered glasses. Later, we noticed other guests enjoying a wine pairing option that had not been mentioned to us or listed on the menu. This felt like a missed opportunity, as we would have loved to explore the pairing experience. 3. While attentive at the start, service became increasingly disorganized as the evening progressed. Mistakes included being served a meat dish intended for another table, we weren’t asked if we wanted additional drinks or coffee after dessert, despite other tables being offered these options. It also took a long time to receive the bill, to the point where we had to go to the bar to request it. While the server mentioned not wanting to rush or disturb us, which we appreciate, it's still important to check in with customers at a table. 3/5 Ambiance: The restaurant’s atmosphere was stunning, complemented by a breathtaking view. It was a perfect setting for a fine dining experience. 5/5

Spent a very pleasant evening with a group of colleagues at Nomad aan het IJ. From the personal hospitable welcome to the warm farewell at the end of the evening and the great service from host Juan Carlos; everything was done with enormous passion. It felt like an evening visiting friends, so casual and hospitable. The dishes were all beautifully prepared and our taste buds were spoiled by new, surprising flavors and combinations prepared by chef Denisa. What a wonderful evening to enjoy for a long time to come. Thank you!

What a truly incredible experience! From arriving and the staff already knowing your name, to every dish being introduced and explained. No need for a menu, your host will explain what journey you’re about to go on! Picking a favourite dish is an impossibility, but we went with the Kim chi with salmon and red caviar. Pick that Chablis from the wine menu..!

Here you enter as a guest and leave as a friend after a culinary road trip through - in our case (my girlfriend and I) - Portugal, South Korea, Italy, Indonesia, France and the US. You won't find these dishes anywhere. Every time you are surprised by the creative delights on your plate and pampered by a radiant crew who have the most important supporting role on an appetizing evening with you in the leading role. Yes, it is a fifteen-minute walk from the central station, but Johan Cruijff once said it: 'You will only see it when you realize it'. Just go and enjoy! Because the main prize is waiting for you at the finish, with an amazing view over the IJ as an extra icing on the cake. So don't hesitate: just say Yes to Nomad.

We had the pleasure of dining at Nomad aan het IJ, and it was truly a delightful experience. The staff has the perfect balance between attentive service and giving you the space to enjoy your evening undisturbed. The restaurant offers an unique culinary concept, taking you on a gastronomic journey around the world through its dishes. Each dish is a feast for both the palate and the eyes, with good flavors and artful presentation. We’ve had the best New York cheesecake and it was completely vegan! The wine selection is great, whether you choose the wine pairing or select from the wine menu. While we would rate this experience 5 stars, we have one small suggestion: pre-heated plates, particularly for the meat courses, would elevate the dining experience.
