Do NOT miss out on this restaurant. The food was unbelievable, the service was indescribable. Drinks were 10/10. Cocktails to wines. The owner was also working as front of house when me and my fiancé came. He made this place the experience of a life time. I gave an extremely generous tip and felt nothing but happiness in doing so, wasn’t about the money. Was the experience. For both us and them. True love, care, precision in each dish per country and each drink made and each contact or visit. I will return to this place every time I go to Amsterdam. I felt sad leaving and I can say I’ve never felt that from a restaurant before.

The food was delicious and tasty. The staff were friendly, explained every dish and were kind and funny. We had a great experience and we'll definitely come back again. We had the six course menu and each dish was top level.

We were here on December 24th, knowing in advance that it was a Christmas menu. A surprise menu. What we found particularly nice and original was that the waitstaff told a story about the dish you were served. You then had to guess which country each dish came from. The staff was super sweet, fun, and relaxed. I was hoping for something more formal, considering it was Christmas Eve, but the staff were free to wear whatever they wanted. From sweaters and jumpers to white sneakers. It was fine otherwise, because the service and friendliness weren't compromised, but it was a missed opportunity for the overall Christmas Eve atmosphere. We had a nice table, nothing special, but nice and quiet, which was very nice. The restrooms are separated (male/female), which I personally consider a plus (for privacy). Parking is available nearby in the garage, which you can also reserve in advance. We took a taxi there and back. Then there was the food. Beautifully presented, but unfortunately, nothing special in terms of taste. It was fine and original, especially the spinach soup, but that was about it. Mind you, this is entirely personal, so we both experienced it this way. As a foodie, I missed the explosion of flavors or the element of surprise in my mouth. Honestly, that was only the amuse-bouche. A favorite for both of us! The ambiance was beautiful, unfortunately a bit too chilly for Christmas Eve, when women tend to wear a dress (short sleeves or strapless). We would have left earlier without a jacket. A shame, because I was now sitting on the swing, too preoccupied with the cool airflow. And it was really cold outside that evening. All in all, it was enjoyable for a one-time visit, as I'd been wanting to go for a while, but it won't be a recommendation for our foodie friends. But... it is if you want guaranteed friendly staff all evening, because credit where credit is due: the staff is to write home about! We had three different people at our table, and they were all equally friendly. So, thank you very much for that. That was very pleasant!

This is where you go if you want a tasting experience, quality wine pairings and a family vibe. Every meal was an adventure and we enjoyed taking our time through each layer of flavor. The 5 course meal with wine pairing took us about 2 hours 45 minutes and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. A special thank you to the hosts as they truly made the experience special. We had the joy of meeting the owner and wish him and his team the absolute best this new year.

Avoid: Slow Service and Mediocre Food Total Time: 3+ Hours (Left before the final course). Overpriced, Pretentious, and Incredibly Slow Expect a three-hour-plus ordeal for a five-course meal. We waited 30 minutes or more between every course. Despite being told we could ask to speed things up, we made the request twice and absolutely nothing changed. We eventually gave up and left before the final course was served. The food does not live up to the supposed Michelin-star standards or the steep price tag. The fourth course was a cold, chewy steak that was nearly inedible. The concept is very "close your eyes and chew," prioritizing pretension over actual flavor and execution. While the staff are friendly, they are ineffective at managing the pace. This is an overpriced experience that values "vibe" over quality service and well-cooked food.

Overpriced for average food. It took over 30 min between each course which totally ruined the experience as we were bored by the end. We have done taster menues before where the service was not this slow. When course 4 out of 5 arrived after sat in the restaurant for 3 hours it was very cold. Avoid if you can. There are nicer places to eat in Amsterdam

I’m a big foodie, and seek out real unique experiences. This restaurant was literally amazing. The food was incredible but above all the service and engagement and the stories from the service crew were amazing.

Great staff , good food and lovely atmosphere but even though I truly agree with dinner being an experience and that it should not be rushed , our 5 course dinner took 3,5 hours with an one hour break between the 3rd course and (4th) main course. We actually had to ask for more bread because we were genuinely hungry waiting , which I’ve never had to at a fine dining experience. It feels like you’re getting forced into ordering more drinks, as you’re waiting for such a long time. In total from course no 3 to finishing the dessert it took nearly 2 hours. It spoilt the evening for us and took away from the lovely staff and atmosphere. We would not come back. For the large amount of money , it just wasn’t quite right .

While in Amsterdam, I chose Nomad to treat my little sister to a multi-course birthday dinner. The food, the wine, the service and the owner made our evening magical. Being present and tasting without pretense or expectation made the delicious food, remarkable. You visit 5-6 countries on your itinerary and with clues, you guess where the dish is from. Before we began, preferences and allergies were discussed and the meal accommodated both. Make the trip to the I/J Dock and enjoy an evening at Nomad.

An absolutely wonderful dining experience. The staff did a fabulous job of educating us as we were on the journey and the food was delicious every step of the way. Yes it can be an expensive evening out however for a special occasion or a real treat it is SO worth it

surprise dinner for my partner that made me feel somewhat embarassed. starting from the good stuff :) the place is very beautuful with gorgeous view on the ij river. parking garage just around the corner. nice concept of the menu, when they take you on the trip around the globe and each dish is inspired by a country, and you get to guess. now not so good stuff😅 while waiting for my partner at the table, while they were parking a car, i wasnt offered anything to drink, even water. so i sat at the table for 15 min totally ignored. when my partner arrived we got our server at the table who was very friendly and ready to accomodate but unfortunately lacked basic knowlege of wine. thats sad, cause she is very nice (just a little training about wines they serve at the restaurant would make her an abdolute star, but thats smth for managment to take into account, not her fault at all). the food... concept of cooking without salt is great when you compencate it with other flavors, so your dishes dont taste bland. cause they were🥲. the best course of the evening was...amuse. the rest was rather flavorless and i got a feeling like some things were from the freezer. main course was main dissapoitment. entrecote well done is a crime😭 without even giving an option to choose level of cooking. most of restaurants serve red meat medium-rare by default and cook it more upon request. here, you dont have luxury of choise. and "french" garnish–red cabbage with cinnamon. something as war from classic french cuisine as east from west. as a conclusion: fine dining prices with not fine dining food and service. there is too much room to improve. call yourself a brasserie and no questions asked. i was ashamed for asking my partner out to this place, having high hopes. wont be back, wont recommend. no offence

We had a fantastic evening. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed, and at our table, we were asked about our personal food preferences. One was vegan, another didn't like cheese, and another didn't like beets. Everything was taken into account. The food was packed and surprisingly delicious, with so many different flavors and textures. Highly recommended.

An inviting evening of excellent food and attentive service in a fun, yet, cozy atmosphere. After learning our dietary restrictions/preferences, we were treated with a rotating kaleidoscope of beautiful plates which considered all of our concerns and absolutely delivered on flavors! The chef and her team will take good care of you, we had a vegan, a pescatarian, and…anything goes diner at our table…and, our courses were effortlessly delivered to us with kind and attentive service. Nothing but the best to say, I planned my proposal with the guys from Nomad and I was greeted in the most professional, positive, friendly way possible an they helped me with the whole proposal plan! Especially loved the diversity in their food and staff - Everyone shares the same characteristic, being great at what they do! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to get their pennies worth, it's absolutely worth it. Will be returning back 100% the next time I'm in Amsterdam! Me and my fiance salute you! I wasn't planning on writing a review, but I'll do it in the hopes of helping them improve. Their service is fantastic; there was just one detail, which I'll mention at the end. The food is okay, but there's a lot of room for improvement, which is why I'm writing this. Let's start with the appetizer: the beet crust was very well executed. I think the cream filling should have been seasoned; it should never be served unseasoned. The artichoke soup was simply fantastic, congratulations. The tartar sauce lacked acidity; it was very flat. And that potato at the bottom—prepare it, don't just put it there. His interpretation of the Peruvian dish is saved by the habanero pepper, "even though it's not Peruvian." In fact, the essence of Peruvian cuisine could be greatly improved; I don't think it's a good interpretation of their cooking. Their French dish is good, their gravy could have more depth and a touch of salt. Their dessert is a good attempt at reinterpreting pumpkin pie, just don't add chocolate, better a reduction of sweet pumpkin syrup that will be mixed with their mousse which lacked that sweetness. Ultimately, it's just a personal opinion, small details that I think could be improved. I want to end on a more positive note: their wine pairing was exceptional, very good. One last thing: for those of us who enjoy good food, savoring a variety of flavors, and exploring new places, I recommend this restaurant, though your tastes may differ from mine. The detail in the service was so irrelevant that I'd rather not mention it.

We tried the set menu dinner on Thursday and it was a really pleasant evening. The restaurant kept things simple with a single set menu, offering both regular and vegan choices. The food was consistently good. I was pleased with the effort put into the vegan dishes, there was a notable example: grilled pumpkin with various vegetables and a very decent caper sauce. Service was fine also nothing to complain about. Overall, a reliable spot for a satisfying dinner, especially if you appreciate good vegan variety within a set menu format.

Thursday evening, four of us dined on a 5-course menu and ordered a bottle of "Bernardus" wine. We had a reservation by the window, but it was already taken by the time we arrived. The chairs are rock hard and many are broken; after changing them twice, it's pointless. There's no ambiance unless you're seated by the window, as it's a simple, overly lit diner. The staff is friendly, but the attire is so diverse: one person wears a sweater, another a shirt with an open belly, and one even a hoodie. If you're treating it like a diner, it's fine, but with these prices, you'd expect work clothes. Finally, the food was too simple, and it seemed like it had been prepared in the afternoon and reheated before serving. Not a single dish was warm enough to smell. Not worth the price or quality.

We had the six-course menu. Each course was a culinary journey, presented in a very pleasant, friendly, and relaxed manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our service, and our server, who also spoke perfect German, was a real pleasure. The restaurant has a stunning waterfront location and a wonderful ambiance. Anyone looking for something special will be in excellent hands here.

With high expectations, we invited friends to Nomad for dinner. It was our first time too. It was a complete disappointment. The food was rather bland and tasteless. The soup was lukewarm, but what came next was okay (I just can't remember it). The French dish was a missed opportunity. The meat was tough and lacked any flavor or imagination. Then came dessert, a small brownie with two dollops of whipped cream—well, yeah. There was also no bonbon with the coffee, or even a cookie. The service was excellent, but after the plates were brought, there was little further attention. Definitely not recommended!

The food tasted incredible. I have IBS and cannot eat eggs either. They had no problem adjusting my food. The dishes were the same as the others, but with some adjustments. The best food I have tasted since being diagnosed with IBS. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was great.

Had a five course menu there during restaurant week, and was very happy with the experience. The food was tasty, specifically for Amsterdam standards. The view was amazing (I recommend to reserve a table next to the windows), staff was friendly and efficient. The reservation has no end time. We were offered a complementary digestive drink at the end. They have vegan and non vegan options. Recommend!

We had an excellent meal at Nomad. From start to finish, it was a wonderful journey through the courses. The service was attentive and friendly; we wanted for nothing. I highly recommend it. The vegan menu was also incredibly delicious.

The restaurant is in a prime location and looks beautiful. The staff are from various countries, and the service was excellent. The Surinamese waiter, in particular, conveyed the experience well. The wines were delicious, and the food was good. I also thought the concept was well-conceived. However, for the price, I expected more in terms of flavors. Nothing really stood out, and after a day, I'd practically forgotten what I'd eaten there.

We went for the 6 course dinner with my girlfriend and everything started incredible. The concept, the presentation, the food. The tastes were absolutely incredible, however when it was time for the main dish, we waited 30+ minutes until our dish was served and some of the crew members seem to be a bit less caring later in the night, so there was a huge difference between how our experience started and how it continued. In that time period, our table was fully empty and it made us feel excluded from the place a bit. However, when main dish came, we were back in the world of incredible tastes again. Food is 10/10 in my opinion and I highly recommend it to everyone. We also gave our feedback to one of the team members and he really appreciated it and we are grateful that he listened. I think Nomad is such a place, which can be perfect from start to end, unless the crew gets into the closing mindset when it is 22:15 and this starts reflecting on the guests. I hope they manage to keep the beautiful experience steady throughout the night for guests. But, nice team, nice environment and incredible food, I highly recommend it!

Restaurant with a concept. (Although I hate that word). Beautiful interior and a fantastic view of the IJ River. The service is enthusiastic and friendly, engaging with every course. Sometimes it feels a bit "over the top," but they have a vision to be different from the standard formal service. The food is good, not great. The selection of hot dishes is limited, but the cold dishes are well-prepared. The atmosphere is lively thanks to the background music and the conversations in the restaurant. We had a pleasant evening in a cozy setting.

We visited Nomad for our anniversary dinner and the whole experience exceeded our high expectations. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming and made us feel relaxed from the moment we entered the restaurant. Our table had a beautiful view over the water which got more magical as day turned to night. The food was incredible and we would highly recommend the 6 course meal. We will be talking about our visit to Nomad for years to come and would recommend anyone try and include a visit to this restaurant during their stay in Amsterdam.

Top-notch top-notch. Did you mention it was top-notch? Beautiful location. We had a table by the window. Delicious. Food, vegan, from all over the world. Their staff is also very versatile. So it was a perfect fit. They played nicely with the global scene by guessing where something came from with a few hints from the extremely friendly staff. Six courses with wines paired with each course—it doesn't get much better than that for me. The pace was relaxed, we could adjust it, but it was perfect for us. We enjoyed it. I read some negative reviews beforehand, but I really don't understand where they come from. I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for a romantic date night experience this is your spot. It was exactly that an experience. If you are also looking to introduce your pallet to some food from around the world (Nomad is a great name for a fusion restaurant by the way) let this be your sign. You can tell everything has been curated with intention. Certainly you don’t have to be on a date to go here. However, the location being right on the IJ dock, the beautiful view of the water, the moody interior and lighting would make a very memorable night. Not to mention tucked away near some breath taking modern Dutch architecture. The exceptionally wonderful staff ( front of house and back) runs like a well oiled machine. Ready to accommodate your every need. We ordered the tasting menu so if you plan to do that make sure that you have allotted yourself enough time to throughly enjoy because this is not a quick bite to eat. We did get a little antsy in between course but that was our fault as we picked this restaurant the night before our flight back home and didn’t allow for the extra time this meal deserved. After explaining to them we would like a little less time in between courses they quickly moved them along. Again, that was our problem not them and they accommodated without issue. The fusion between different places around the world and little bits of trivia and knowledge about the dishes from the staff are enough to keep things exciting from beginning to end. Reasonably priced in my opinion for such a beautiful tasting menu. Will will most certainly be back if we find ourselves in Amsterdam again and I hope we do. We chose this restaurant for its vegan menu. The dishes were small, bland, and disappointing for the price. It has nothing to do with fine dining! If you want good vegan food, don't go here! It's a rip-off!

We attended the prix fixe lunch event for SAIL Amsterdam - the food and drinks were great, seating was well-spaced and everyone at the event had a good view (unlike some places that just pack everyone in). We enjoyed it a lot and will be back for dinner soon!

Super friendly and attentive service. But the price/quality ratio is simply not in line. I paid almost €700 for a dinner for 4 (including 2 bottles of wine) during Sail. Truly outrageous. The food simply isn't worth that price. The presentation is okay, but the taste and preparation are far below par. It's brasserie-style, while you'd expect fine dining for €125 per menu. For that price, you could also go to Michelin-starred restaurants like De Kas, Rijks, etc. It feels like a tourist trap. Unfortunately. But the service wasn't the problem.

Unvergesslicher Abend zum Geburtstag während der Sailwoche Anlässlich meines Geburtstags war ich gemeinsam mit meinem Mann und einem befreundeten Paar zu Gast im Restaurant – und was soll ich sagen: Es war einfach atemberaubend! Schon beim Betreten wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und der Service war den ganzen Abend über erstklassig. Die Kellner*innen haben sich große Mühe gegeben, uns die sechs Gänge des Menüs ausführlich und mit viel Leidenschaft zu erklären. Jeder einzelne Gang war ein Genuss für alle Sinne – ein kulinarisches Erlebnis auf höchstem Niveau. Als besonderes Highlight gab es zum Dessert sogar eine kleine Fontäne, begleitet von einem Geburtstagslied, das das gesamte Team mitgesungen hat – ein unglaublich rührender Moment, den ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde. Durch die Sailwoche hatten wir zudem den perfekten Blick auf die vorbeiziehenden Schiffe und das anschließende Feuerwerk – einfach traumhaft. So einen schönen, rundum gelungenen Abend hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese wundervolle Erinnerung!

We were initially disappointed as the view of Sail was limited, which I felt was not as advertised. The experience was nice, with the whole ‘guess which country this dish represents’ and the staff were lovely, but I didn’t feel that the food was exceptional. The tastiest part was the appetizer that was not even part of the 6 courses! We had a nice evening, the wine was good!

What a fantastic restaurant! We went here last night and enjoyed all the Sail boats. We chose the vegan menu, and it was divine! And what a fantastic team of people who work here; it was truly a joy, and they make mindful eating a real experience!

It's just average, the food, the wines, a 6.5-7. For the price they're asking, it's subpar. If you're perfectly happy with a medium-sized restaurant, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. We were quite tempted by the seemingly high Google rating, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to it.

Amazing, brilliant and really such a beautiful evening! Couldn't ask for anything more.. we had so much fun and an amazing experience with the staff, the food, the view.. We were the first to arrive and the last to leave and with our group of 6 and the team of Nomad and the delicious food and wines, this night was perfect. Thank you!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I had high hopes for this dinner, especially since it was meant to celebrate a special occasion for my mother. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. To begin with, the food was nowhere near fine dining quality. We had clearly informed the staff at the start about dietary restrictions, yet dishes containing those ingredients were still served to us. It felt careless and disrespectful. Service was equally poor. None of the drinks we ordered were brought to our table unless I personally went to the bar to chase them down. Throughout the meal, ingredients were reused across multiple courses, making the menu feel repetitive and uninspired. Most dishes lacked flavor and could have benefited from something as basic as salt and pepper. Despite informing the staff that we were celebrating my mother, there was no special attention given. Another table received a celebratory sparkler, while we were left awkwardly watching, expecting the same—especially since the host had congratulated my mother when we arrived. Clearly, they were aware of the occasion but chose to ignore it. The final course was never cleared, and no one offered us coffee or tea. Once again, we had to go to the bar ourselves just to ask for the bill. For the amount I paid, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food or thoughtful service.

Yesterday, a group of eight enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at Nomad aan het IJ. What a fantastic experience; everything was perfect! Good food, lovely, friendly service, and a great story. A truly ideal spot if you're looking for high-end dining without the "stuffiness" of many other upscale restaurants. The concept of traveling the world and having to guess which country a dish comes from is a fun way to brainstorm with each other about what you're actually eating. Beautiful location and food, but the real standouts were the staff. They were fun and enthusiastic, explaining the various dishes and the wine and food pairings. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience here! Every course of the vegan menu was a highlight, creative, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. It felt more like a story unfolding than just a meal, with each dish offering a glimpse into a different part of the world. The people running the place clearly love what they do, super welcoming, passionate, and just really good vibes all around. The setting by the water adds to the charm. This spot has become a must-visit for us whenever we’re in Amsterdam.

Great storytelling from the owner/server when presenting the dishes. The food was great. Pricing was reasonable. Only complaint, was each dish was spaced ~30 minutes apart which is tough when they are tasting menu sized dishes. Over 3 hours for 6 dishes is a lot.

My second time here, visiting from Scotland. Had a beautiful evening at this restaurant. Service was exceptional. Made us feel welcome and relaxed. Lovely view of the River Ij while we eat. Food was delicious - 6 courses each inspired by a different country. Staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Mi marido nos llevó aquí por mis 40 años durante el fin de semana, ya IT tenía un menú degustación vegano de 6 platos. La comida era agradable, aunque hemos tenido mucho mejor donde. Esto no valió la pena el precio en absoluto. No estábamos bebiendo alcohol e IT todavía tomó 3 horas y media en total, unos 20-40 minutos de espera entre platos. Definitivamente no tuvimos la noche llena de diversión que nos dijeron que obtendríamos cuando nos sentáramos, parte del personal estaba bebiendo el vino y un miembro del personal en particular estaba bastante borracho cuando nos íbamos. Cuando nos preguntaron de qué país venía el curso/comida y cuál era cada curso, tomó más tiempo después de IT tanto tiempo para que la comida llegara a la mesa, lo que hizo que la comida se enfriara antes de comerla, esperar nos quitó cualquier diversión y también nos hizo sentir bastante inadecuados, ya que no éramos buenos en las preguntas y nos sugirieron comer más despacio. En realidad soy un come lento que ya trata de comer conscientemente todos los días. Hubo un hombre que dio un gran servicio y realmente parecía saber lo que estaba haciendo, pero el otro personal carecía de esto. IT no era la experiencia que esperábamos, en realidad estábamos aburridos durante todo el tiempo y en realidad desearíamos haber comido en otro lugar por el costo y tiempo IT tomó de nuestras vacaciones. Una verdadera pena. No recomendaría y no volveré.

Disappointing. Waiting for almost an hour between each course was really not pleasant. The dishes themselves were not upto the mark either, definitely not what you'd expect from a restaurant that claims to be a fine dining place. While we were there, we also noticed other guests who had left before their course had finished. By the end we were just happy to head home. The only thing to make up for this to an extent was the location and the friendliness of the servers.

This was our second time dining at Nomad aan het IJ, and it was exceptionally good again, from the food to the service. We received a warm welcome and were helped by Ronald and Juan Carlos. Thanks to both for a lovely and enjoyable evening! (Thanks also to the kitchen; the dishes were delicious.)

The quality of the food was excellent. Creative, innovative, lots of vegetables, and delicious fish. Nothing but good things to say about the service. Friendly people and also very efficient. We didn't wait too long between courses. The wine was served on time and perfectly paired. We will definitely be back. A few things to note: as in many restaurants, the red wine was too warm. Room temperature is 17 to 18 degrees Celsius, not the temperature in the restaurant. The excellent Japanese whiskey tasted great, but €22 is simply too much for one glass. Afterwards, we had a nice glass of Orangello and went home satisfied. A very good choice for a pleasant evening of delicious food and drinks.

The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere – stylish and cozy. We were particularly impressed by the very friendly and attentive service – you immediately feel at ease and well looked after. The meal was a true highlight: beautifully presented, with the highest level of flavor – a firework for the senses! Each course was like a little excursion into another culinary world. You couldn't just enjoy the food, you could truly celebrate it. An unforgettable experience – simply perfect!

Warme ontvangst door aardig personeel. We hebben een 5 gangen diner met bijbehorend wijnarrangement besteld. De amuse was top, de Portugese soep hebben we laten staan. Was niet lekker. Ook het vlees was droog met stukken hard vet eraan was niet smaakvol. De andere gerechten waren best lekker en mooi opgediend maar niet heel bijzonder.

What a welcome, what an atmosphere, and what fantastic food! It was an experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The warmth, the storytelling—how you're drawn into the experience. The menu was carefully curated, and the staff's passion for food is palpable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything was perfect; we were surprised and were able to truly relax. I don't want to give too much away, but I encourage everyone to treat themselves and their loved ones to this experience.

Went for a lovely dinner here yesterday evening. Ronald and his associate server were so warm, welcoming, and friendly. They curated a lovely dining experience that took me through countries and cuisines I certainly wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Did the 6 course menu with wine pairings and highly recommend if you want a fresh, unique experience. Thank you again !

So disappointingly bad that we left after the second course. Quality far below what you would expect in this price range. The location is great and if you sit by the window like we did, you have a beautiful view of the IJ. The restaurant is nicely decorated, warm and atmospheric. We ordered the five-course menu with wine pairing. The service is very friendly. A bit gimmicky; you get hints to guess which country the next course comes from, with a chance of a high five if you are correct. Personally I thought it was a bit too theatrical, you have to like that. We start with a simple amuse, a crispy cup with a combination of sweet, sour and slightly peppery. In itself a good combination of flavours, but the dry cup dominates in terms of texture and reminds me a bit too much of the one from HEMA. The presentation is not very refined. Bread is served: it looks like wholesale pre-baked rolls that you would get at any brasserie. The two vegan butters that we get with it are more interesting: 1 with red onion, 1 with spring onion. The first course is inspired by Portugal. The difference between Portuguese caldo verde and this potato soup is that what is served here is watery and tastes like nothing. The potato chips that lie on the soup are already soggy before you sink your spoon into it. When asked what we thought of it, we say that we unfortunately find it very bland - they have heard that before, the waiter said, but it was because of the chef's healthy choice not to use salt. It is incomprehensible that you leave this on your menu when you often get feedback that your dish tastes like nothing. Cooking without salt can be your concept, but if we have to pay 250 euros at the end of the ride, you have to make sure that taste is provided in other ways. The next course would make up for it, we were promised. The second course is indeed better. Inspired by Tom Kha Pla, Thai fish soup, this layer of soup does have flavor because of the coconut milk, lemongrass and galangal. The fish and fish eggs, the main ingredient in my partner's version, are fine. In the vegetarian version that I get, however, there is a carrot floating that has been in a pan for a while but is not more interesting than that. This still does not rise above the level of a brasserie and we have little confidence in the next courses. We treat ourselves to a fine dining evening about twice a year, that is not a small expense for us, so it better be worth it. It is definitely not worth it here. With some hesitation we tell the waiter that we are sitting there reluctantly. Fortunately, this is handled well: we only pay for the wine (about that: I'm whelmed), get a recommendation for an Italian restaurant and are kindly let out. You can get much better in this price range, and this is not worthy of the name fine dining. Strongly discouraged.

We had an amazing evening with great food and wine. The service was awesome!

Nice dining location with great service. However, there are some points for improvement: We were a group of eight people and it took more than three hours before we got all the small dishes. That is really too long. In addition, some dishes, such as the potato soup and the coalfish, were prepared with clearly too much (olive) oil. The ingredients literally floated in it, which made the dish a waste, unless you want to take a sip of oil. In addition, several guests lacked spices on their dishes and no salt or pepper on the table. Finally, the portions were very small. Many of us were still hungry afterwards and therefore ate something else. This is of course a shame considering the price we paid.

We had given away the "culinary world tour" and it was a wonderful evening. The food was very good, wonderfully presented and with great vegan components. The staff was very attentive and advised us very well regarding the wine. It was a successful evening and the restaurant is really recommended.

Our last night in the Netherlands was a treat thanks to Ronald, the owner – and culinary tour guide. If you are in the city, book a table with Ronald and his incredible team, and go the full six courses. Chef Denisa created a brilliant series of dishes from around the planet, and Ronald’s showmanship and storytelling made sure we enjoyed every bite. Bedankt, and here’s to new friends and adventures!

Place to come, slow down and enjoy the food. The dishes we tried were all carefully crafted by the staff in the kitchen, and served with a smile and full purpose to our table. Vegan dishes mixed with fish and meat dishes, all were surprisingly good and got us very satisfied.

Wow! This place made me think I want to be vegan. All dishes were spot on, original and unique in every way (Flavours textures ingredients). The meat was done to perfection but the vegan dishes blew my mind. Couldn't believe my own taste buds. 100% recommend it

Unique concept, amazing staff and owners from all over the world, most importantly delicious fusion cuisine. Must do when in Amsterdam!
