A very friendly welcome from the owners and a delicious meal. The set menu for two is highly recommended. Due to the limited number of tables, reservations are recommended.

What a fantastic experience! The food is great and the service is friendly, fast and memorable. We have lived in Haarlem for 4 years, this is our go-to-spot for amazing Indian food.

The BEST Indian I’ve had…ever…full stop! As a huge lover of Indian food (and an avid home cook of Indian dishes at home) this is honestly the best I’ve had outside of India. I travel all over and always seek out Indian restaurants. Holland perhaps (until now) maybe not the best known for Indian but this place changed all of that. Friendly and attentive service by owner/cook Rochki who suggested something between a Madras and a Vindaloo to suit my taste was simply mind blowing delicious. (Those rating 1&2 stars obviously haven’t had much Indian food to benchmark Ohm against). Go spoil yourself. PS - small but good wine selection as well🍷

Today we ate at Ohm for the second time and again very satisfied: a very attractive restaurant in the center of Haarlem, the food was once again delicious: fish and lamb; the service is very pleasant and good, the food doesn't take long and the chef takes the time to have a chat with us. Highly recommended for those who love real Indian food, in a cozy place in Haarlem!

Very generous, decent cuisine, perfect service but unfavorable value for money

During our visit to Haarlem, we were looking for Indian food in Haarlem and went there without great expectations. The owner recommended the following dishes, which we tried: Lamb Madras and Chicken Curry with Naan and Rice. The food was outstanding and incredibly delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive, first-class. The food arrived quickly, and the portions were generous. The flavors of both dishes were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed the ambience with the background music. We highly recommend it and will definitely stop by again on our next visit.

Extremely disappointing and full of colouring! We had the poppadoms for starters which were not home made and tasted stale. The side sauces had a lot of colouring and tasted very artificial. For main course, I had the butter chicken, unfortunately again it was full of colouring and was quite bland. Even the garlic naan bread didn’t taste nice. I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly, this isn't authentic or nowhere near authentic Indian restaurant of sorts. You just don't add colour to curries. Plus the taste was quite bland and super oily. Naan was a joke... I'm sorry that is not naan whatsoever. I genuinely thought this would be a good place based on the reviews I read but given there was no other choice of Indian restaurant nearby in Haarlem, we had to settle for this. Avoid if you can.

Chicken was dry and cold, the curry had 0 spice or chilli and all the dishes were full of artificial colours. Honestly the worst curry I have ever had. Gross. Avoid.

Based on the good online reviews, we decided to eat here, but our experience was slightly disappointing. The food was tasty, but we missed the full, layered flavors that we are used to at some other Indian restaurants. In addition, both Indian and Surinamese dishes are served here; We are less of a fan of combining two kitchens. Upon entering, we noticed that we were not welcomed by the spicy Indian smells that you often expect in this type of restaurant. Instead, there was a strong smell reminiscent of air freshener. This turned out to be the waitress' perfume, which was quite overpowering and seemed less pleasant to us in a diner. We did not find the interior authentic or cozy and did not really appeal to us. The music was also quite busy, which made the atmosphere less relaxed for us. Fortunately, the service was friendly, but the total bill of almost €90 for two people felt on the high side compared to other Indian restaurants in Haarlem. All in all, not a bad experience, but one we won't repeat.

Always an amazing experience at Ohm! Food is delicious, staff is friendly and the atmosphere very cosy. As I’m a regular the staff ask for my feedback and make slight adjustments to dishes. So every time I go they somehow manage to improve on the previous visit. Amazing little gem in the center of Haarlem!

Too bad that the sign outside indicated Surinamese food, such as Roti & Bara, but once inside we could only choose an expensive Indian dish. The expensive menu was also sparse in terms of dishes & quantity and did not include dessert. The flavors of the dishes were delicious, but could have been a bit more extensive.

We had a delicious meal and were helped well by Rochki. He helped us with the menu and we had a really delicious meal. Nice atmosphere and this will be our new permanent place. We had chicken madras and butter chicken. Recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ohm Restaurant and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The food was simply delicious and exceeded all my expectations. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. Every bite was a delight! Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service. The employees at Ohm are extremely friendly and accommodating. You can immediately tell that great value is placed on customer service here. The atmosphere in the store is inviting and cozy, which makes the entire stay even more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend Ohm Restaurant. Had a great meal here last night with a group of five. Two vegetarians in our group really enjoyed their Surinaamse roti and paneer makhni. Meat dishes were spot on as well. Excellent attentive and friendly service.

Wij gaan overal Indiaas eten als dat kan. Ook bij Ohm, op zondag. De ontvangst is goed en restaurant ziet er gezellig Indiaas uit. De kaart is niet heel uitgebreid en prijs vinden wij wat aan de hoge kant. Desalnietemin vonden wij het eten erg goed. Onze 2 verschillende gerechten waren met verse kruiden en ingrediënten bereid en allebei erg verschillend van smaak. Als je van Indiaas eten houdt dan bevelen we dit restaurant zeker aan.

We eat Indian food everywhere if we can. Also at Ohm, on Sunday. The welcome is good and the restaurant looks pleasantly Indian. The menu is not very extensive and we think the price is a bit on the high side. Nevertheless, we thought the food was very good. Our 2 different dishes were prepared with fresh herbs and ingredients and both tasted very different. If you like Indian food, we definitely recommend this restaurant.

Small but fine Indian restaurant in a central location in Haarlem. The service is very courteous and the selection of dishes left nothing to be desired for us. We really enjoyed the evening in a cozy atmosphere.

We've had diner here last Saturday after spending the day exploring Haarlem. Ordered lamb roti and lamb vindaloo. We both enjoyed it immensely. The vindaloo was really good, chef even gave me a tasting of his pepper/vinegar mixture used in the dish which I also really appreciated. Thank you (entire team) for the good meal and lovely experience.

We stumbled on this restaurant and to be honest wasn't in the mood for Indian but it was pouring down so we went in. The the food was really nice so we were happy we went for it. We are mostly vegetarian and we were really enjoyed our meal. Great flavours. The chef came over and had a bit of a chat. All round good experience.

Food was average, to be honest. But the service was awful. Had to chase the waitress to take my order. Staff spent most of the night chit-chatting in the kitchen. After 40 minutes (there was only me and another table of 2 in the restaurant) the basic food finally came out but without a plate. Waiter (owner?) said he'd bring me a plate. Then another guest came in to pick up a take-away and the waiter dealt with him, leaving me with food getting cold. Even table next to me laughed at the situation. Since staff was hanging out in the kitchen, even paying became a hassle. Sorry all, but I can't recommend this place.

Really average food. We had vegetarian korma and lamb korma. Meat was tender but sorry the sauce was just gravy with mild powdered spices. Not a bit of original spice or funk. Very disappointing. Service was very good. Toilet is tiny and men’s was out of service.

Nu voor de 2e keer hier gegeten, erg goede Indiase curry’s, eten komt snel, goede bediening en vriendelijke eigenaar die een praatje komt maken. Prijs kwaliteit ook goed.

Cute little restaurant, but food was average. Vegetable Korma was tiny green beans, peas, and corn in bland sauce. Had to ask for salt to season the dishes. Waitress said she could not bring a carafe of water, while the table next to use enjoyed refills of theirs.

The butter chicken was not creamy :/

Absolutely fantastic. Just stellar food. Perhaps the best Indian we’ve had EVER. The chef went out of his way to create a dish that had features from two different flavors. I said “impress me” and my mind was blown. Off the beaten path and small, intimate setting. Quite lovely.

We chose Ohm because of the high rating but were disappointed at the speed of service and ambience. This is a small restaurant with small tables and kitchen chairs so we ate our meal under the stairs in a very restricted spot, with our elbows touching. And the toilet is probably the smallest facility I've ever used in a restaurant. All the stages of the process were very slow. Menus arrived slowly, drinks took some time to get to the table, poppadoms didn't arrive at all, and each course took longer to come out of the kitchen than the last. Many of the menu items weren't even available. So, for me and my husband, as gluten intolerant customers, there was a much reduced starter menu and only 3 out of the 4 desserts was still available. The house red wine was harsh and not well considered and there were no large bottles of spa rood to be had. The staff were friendly but this isn't sufficient these days especially if you're charging higher prices. Our bill for 1x poppadoms, 3x starters, 4x mains (when they arrived!), and 3x desserts (excellent homemade kulfi) and various drinks was E130. So not café prices - which was definitely how the decor made it seem. All this took over 2hrs. We were hungry when we arrived, so the time it took for our food to arrive was actually unacceptable and when we left, we were tired - it was past our bedtime 🙃 I can't leave a five star review for this restaurant and I'm not sure how it has got such a high rating in the past, but if you want to go and see whether this review is harsh or well deserved, please eat a snack and have a pre-dinner drink before you arrive and go with thin friends so you fit onto the tiny chairs and table.

This is located very close to Teylor Museum and in midst of a hustling lane with variety of other food and coffee outlets by the canal! One special thing to mention about this is the it opens the earliest at 3 pm for proper meals! We had delicious food and all pictures r attached too! Mr. Khanna was very humble to offer grt indian vegetarian food within no time! Mango lassi was delicious!

Vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar, ondanks dat we te vroeg waren. Genoten van de chicken biryani, chicken Makni en lamscurry. De mango lassi was heerlijk net zoals de mango kulfi ijs. Hou je van Indiaas eten, dan is dit restaurant een echte aanrader.

Echt zulke lieve mensen die het eten met alle passie en liefde maken, en dat proef je. We hadden overdag plots veel te weinig gegeten, maar zijn hier met een vol(daan) buikje weer weg gegaan.

Heerlijk eten, we hebben ons laten verrassen en hebben daar geen moment spijt van gehad. Eigenaar en serveerster zijn lieve mensen.

Das Ambiente ist schon schön, sehr entspannend, genau das richtige zum herunterkommen heutzutage. Wir sind jedes Mal sehr gerne da und können das Lokal nur empfehlen!
