As always, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious curry, the atmosphere, and the excellent value. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, my son's birthday was here for dinner with his best friends, and what a wonderful experience it was! Even beforehand, the owner and team were incredibly helpful: they were creative and enthusiastic. On the night itself, everything was presented in a fun, friendly, and festive way, and every dish was creatively and deliciously prepared. This restaurant truly knows what a genuine guest experience is. Kudos to the entire team and the chef!

Cozy restaurant, great food (first time). Only the lamb samosa starter was a bit disappointing. Too spicy, and the flavor was overpowered by coriander seeds. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and the dedication and friendliness of the staff—father, mother, son, and daughter—is truly exceptional. It's wonderful that such a family runs the restaurant together. It was packed when we arrived and quite noisy, but it was a very pleasant atmosphere. And the prices are reasonable.

We had a wonderful meal there, the service was very friendly, and the prices were great. We'll definitely be back.

Quick, delicious and very friendly staff

A delicious eatery where you don't have to rush. Our group of six had to wait almost half an hour for the appetizer, and once that was finished, at least another half hour for the main course.

A lovely, cozy Indian atmosphere. Excellent, friendly service and excellent food, compliments to the chef. Add some nice Indian music in the background and it's perfect.

Last weekend I had dinner at Taste of India and it was a good experience. The service was very friendly and the food was on the table surprisingly quickly. The flavors were certainly good, although in my opinion it could have been slightly warmer and more refined - something I often see at Indian restaurants. The portions were ample and surprisingly affordable. Truly unique in these times when everything is becoming more expensive. Here you can eat well for a good price. Highly recommended for those who love a good, affordable meal!

The best Indian in Haarlem but the bar is set very low. Amsterdam has several stellar lndian restaurants these days. Many Haarlem residents are waiting for the day a top class lndian in Haarlem. Meanwhile, we will continue going to Amsterdam if we want a decent Indian.

We love Indian food but this was not the flavor which is for us so typical about the Indian kitchen. Everything tasted a bit the same from the curry to the butter chicken and quite dull as well. Service was a quite slow but pleasant.

We received a warm welcome last night in the attractive, intimate restaurant Taste of India. It was our first time in an Indian restaurant and the "lady of the house" introduced us to delicious Indian dishes with various Indian dishes. We enjoyed it!

The most disappointing butter chicken we have ever eaten. This was nothing more than rice with a bland sauce.

Food quite decent. Spicy. Varied. Nice people!

Take away 1x chicken madras and 1x butter chicken. The sauce only contained large pieces of chicken, tasted exactly the same, only a lot spicier, I even added vegetables. Taste was okay but not worth repeating.

This is our go to Indian restaurant in Haarlem. Today we were lazy and ordered online via their website. Always a friendly owner took my order. The food was at our door 13 minutes after finishing the call!!! incredible. And as always, fresh and tasty! Thank you!

Ordered for 7 people yesterday for take out. The flavours were there, but nothing was spicy at all, more so on the sweeter side I’d say. The samosas were good! Unfortunately, 4 out of 7 people ate something wrong because they complained about stomach aches and feeling sick this morning.

We ordered here for the first time. The Samosas were delicious. The other food was fine but no more than that. It doesn't have to be hot for me, but I always like a little pepper. I had the feeling that that wasn't possible here at all. I also found it a bit watery. I've had better. Delivery was super fast, so that was more than fine.

Klein familierestaurant. Op de andere hoek naast de grote concurrent. Als je de keuze hebt, ga dan naar hier. Het is klein, als t vol is lawaaierig door de pratende gasten. Maar ja, in welk restaurant niet he. De wc mag wel vaker een sopje, net als de trapleuningen. Frisdrank krijg je in flesjes, heel fijn, lekkerder dan tap, maar een schoon glas als je iets anders te drinken besteld zou fijn zijn. Dit zijn wat minpunten, maar toch is dit restaurant absoluut een aanrader. Maar het eten is authentiek en erg lekker. Eigenaar en personeel meer dan aardig, al gaat t soms op automatische piloot (was het lekker? En dan 2 min later bij de rest afruimen weer hetzelfde vragen) Porties verschillen erg van grootte afhankelijk van wat je besteld. Maar erg lekker en genoeg. Bovendien is t hier niet duur. 2 voorgerechten, 2 hoofd, en 1 toetje. 4 drankjes erbij, waren we onder de 60,- klaar.

Small family restaurant. On the other corner next to the major competitor. If you have a choice, go here. It is small, but when it is full it is noisy due to the talking guests. But hey, in which restaurant not? The toilet could use soapy water more often, as could the stair railings. You get soft drinks in bottles, very nice, tastier than tap, but a clean glass if you order something else to drink would be nice. These are some negatives, but this restaurant is still highly recommended. But the food is authentic and very tasty. Owner and staff are more than nice, although sometimes it goes on autopilot (was it tasty? And then 2 minutes later when clearing the rest, ask the same thing again) Portions vary greatly in size depending on what you order. But very tasty and enough. Moreover, it is not expensive here. 2 starters, 2 main, and 1 dessert. Add 4 drinks and we were done for less than 60 euros.

Friendly staff, really delicious chicken karahi / nan, received complimentary sides, loved the chaii aswell. The food was halal, and had an authentic taste with medium spice (but they ask how hot you like it anyway). Thank you for the great service that day when I popped in after spending a day out in the cold & rain. This was exactly what I needed! Lovely filmy music too, not too loud but enough to enjoy the food & surrounds.

(Update) (To clarify your reply . First of all Nobody visited our table after delivering the food and we asked to make it not spicy but it was really spicy. Also the lady who took our order has misplaced the order . *) Also when I went to pay I took card to pay but there was a gentleman who said it's better if you pay cash. ) I visited this restaurant for dinner a week ago during our Harleem trip. When we entered nobody we were received and got seated and after 5 min we got the menu and took again 10 min for our order even there was only one customer was with us. Finally after a long wait we got our food and our order was misplaced .Also the food quality was very bad and no one came to ask us the feedback or anything. We traveled to many places and and tried different food at many Indian restaurants in Europe, however this was my worst experience. Also when we tried to pay , they ask to pay us in Cash even they had card machine.

Taste of India is a small restaurant with a limited number of tables. You don't really have to go here for the entourage. However, the food was surprisingly tasty. With 4 people we enjoyed the vegetarian and chicken menu. We received a wide range from Dahl to curries, all deliciously flavoured. Definitely worth coming back for!

Excellent food, we ate here twice on our stay in Harlem. The first time food and service was fabulous. The marsala chicken excellent. On our second visit, we experienced a lack of service and a lot of confusion. Food was still very good, but questioned the service quite a bit

The Gedempte Oude Gracht is a street in the center of Haarlem . The name refers to the old city canal that was located here until 1859, and was the border of the city until the 15th century. Walking along this spacious street you will come across a building with a pediment, a bell gable with volutes. This is a wonderful Indian restaurant. The history of «Taste of India» began in 1998 as a takeaway and delivery restaurant "afhaal-en bezorg" in Cronje in Haarlem. When they decided to expand they moved in 2004 to Gedempte Oude Gracht 53, which turned out to be a great location for a real restaurant. This place is known for its excellent service and friendly staff who are always ready to help guests. Their menu consists of a combination of dishes, sides and sauces. It's nice to share and be able to try everything. I ordered Indian basmati rice, steamed with cumin, accompanied by large shrimp “King Prawn Aloo” and potatoes with a special massala sauce. Papadum, light, crispy and spicy crackers are perfect for dipping and we also ordered paratha flatbreads. I washed down all this deliciousness with Indian «Cobra» beer. If you are a good tea fan, you will also like this place. The restaurant is laid out in such a way that there is enough space for 70 people to enjoy an unforgettable evening.

Food was tasty, nice portions. You can't complain about the money, for 18 to 19 euros you really get value for your money! I had lamb, very good. Naan bread tastes great. Service is absolutely fine, but the inside and especially the toilet could use some modernization. But this is highly recommended! Cobra beer also tastes really nice and fresh, wonderful to have with it!

I felt like i was eating at someone's home. Super cozy, very friendly staff members and the food... My GODD the food was good! Had the butter chicken because I don't handle spicy food very well. Was amazing! The menu also specifies what food is or is less spicy. For a girl like me, very nice! Makes picking what to eat a lot easier. Recommend to a few of my friends already. Thanks!
