I discovered this place by chance, initially drawn in by the impressive lunch queue. When I passed by again and noticed an available table, I seized the opportunity to order. The coffee was quite standard, but the food was fantastic.

Food was fine. Nothing special. You have to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated. Waiters seemed unwelcoming and wanted you out as soon as you sat down. Also to mention: the space is pretty small (which is nothing unusual for amsterdam) but you might even get sat down next to strangers if you don’t want to wait 10+ minutes.

This is a popular breakfast place that you must try. Food is super delicious. There is always a line of people waiting to be seated but the line moves fast. The place is charming but small.

An absolutely perfect start of your day. Might need to wait a bit if you arrive at peak times but it's definitely worth it. The menu is varied and exciting, the eggs are done to perfection. Service is fast and kind. We basically inhaled our food, so no pictures this time but definitely recommend!

The omlette was really filling and satisfying but i would prefer having more sides. Also the bread was not even heates and i found it to plain. Perhaps a sauce would be good. The atmosphere is also not that great cause it is very small and tables are next to each other. Overall it is okay but I won't come again. If you are huge fan of omelettes you will like it

I can say that it is my favorite place in Amsterdam for local, delicious tastes. Of course, some people may just pass it off as an omelet with various ingredients, but I think it has a different flavor. Especially Popeye and Greek Wedding were nice. You wait in a long line, but they let you in within 15-20 minutes. You finish it quickly and leave. You can have breakfast early in the morning without waiting. We paid 34 euros for our three-person breakfast.

We were immediately told to move tables, because – get this – we were four people sitting at a table for four… but someone else might come. So we were told to get up, go outside, and wait. What? Is this a restaurant or a game of musical chairs? The staff’s attitude was so unnecessarily rude that my girlfriend almost cried. I would’ve too – but out of laughter, because the whole situation was absurd. I’ve had warmer welcomes at border control. And the best part? This place has good reviews. I guess the eggs are more charming than the people serving them. Honestly, unless your idea of a fun morning is being barked at and kicked out before ordering, skip this place. The food might be good, but you’ll need therapy before dessert. Avoid Omleg like it's a tourist trap with salmonella.

Small eatery close to Amsterdam Central Station. Our first day in Amsterdam, had a simple but delicious egg breakfast at this joint. Great vibes, great service.

Famous place for breakfast! We had to queue up for a while in the morning at 10am, but the wait was less than 30minutes. Loved the omelette and scrambled egg, flavoured well and the egg was fried with a smooth texture!

It's not so good that people say it's delicious... It's not so good that you wonder if you have to wait this long If you just want an omelette, this is the place! There was no place to store my carrier, so I left it there and ate, but I was anxious and nervous. The interior and atmosphere are fun. There are a lot of things decorated here and there. There's something that says "week special," so I think it would be good to eat that. I had the farm boy, but it tasted like real pizza, and I was disappointed because I didn't get the feeling that they make omelettes well.

Delicious, hearty, and just what I needed. The coffee was excellent, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was a nice touch—bright, refreshing, and clearly fresh. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in the city centre, this place should definitely be on your list. Quick tip - They opened at 8 on a Sunday, and all tables were full by 8:20. Turnaround was fairly quick, but be prepared for a short wait if you're not there early!

Arrived early in the morning and they had a seat for me. I was lucky, cause normally there is a line of people waiting to go inside. It is unfortunately a small place, but there not much they can do about it. Still, the place is nice and cosy. The food is great and the service is nice. You can make your own egg meal, choose type (omelette/scrambled/sunny side up/egg whites only, maybe more) and choose of the many add ins. The meal comes with 1 big slice of bread (whole wheat I think). Other than that, the have self made meals with fixed ingredients. The chefs are visible and the kitchen is clear for the visitors to see, it gives it a kind of personal feeling, which is pleasant.

This place is a scam. It's not worth all the hype and praise. Be careful. First of all, it's not halal. They cook eggs in the same pans as the pigs. They don't want tourists to see them, which is clear from the rude and unprofessional treatment. They're dirty and use their dirty hands. Check out the Google reviews. For those who are eating halal food, this place is NOT for you. Ham and bacon are cooked in the same pan as omelettes and other food. This TrasSpot has every right to do so, yet I'm giving it a one-star rating for the way they delivered the message to me in an arrogant and rude manner, and for the lack of courtesy and hygiene.

It was a place that I have been going to regularly since 2019, recommending it, and making many people go. But unfortunately, the problem is this. The main reason we loved this place was its uniqueness and difference. It had its own interpretation of its menu and plates. Unfortunately, my last visit was a complete disappointment and unfortunately it was removed from my list of places to go. First of all, the menu: The place used to have a wooden menu, now you are presented with a lousy PVC coated paper. Sloppy Plates: They removed the salads from their plates, which we believe were a drop in the bucket when you consider the cost. This has ruined the entire presentation. It has affected the visuality and taste. The bread is okay, the omelet you chose is okay, but what about the richness and beauty of that presentation. If you look at their previous plates, you will understand more clearly. We used to order tea, it used to have a big slice of orange in it, and a single Lotus biscuit would come with it. Now, tea bag and as normal as possible. We find this everywhere. What made you who you are was your originality. Being different. I asked for a slice of lemon for the avocado. They said there was no lemon in our business. I said there was always. They also said we never kept lemon on top. A classic cookie came with the tea again but as I said, this was not something that would make you profit. Yes, restricting, but reflecting this especially to your loyal customers is not right. If you say that only tourists who come to Amsterdam once come and go, your business will be wrong and get tired in the long run. You should go back to the unique presentation, flavor and service you have been providing for years. What I am talking about is not just a simple salad. The entire Omelegg spirit. I am sorry.

If you are traveling to Amsterdam or Europe overall as a person of color expect for establishments to ask a worried "what do you want" instead of greeting you like they do Caucasians with a "how are you guys? Welcome!" Not only was I anticipated as a problem but I was told there was no seating so I would have to wait outside in the snow and rain. I turned around to see an empty space and asked can I sit there? One of the male workers was so kind he advised yes. But overall felt unwelcome. Food was good, sausage was salty.

A little busy but holy ****, the omelette hits. The line to get in is long but actually moves quickly. Suçuk omelette is incredible, and so is the fresh pressed juice.

Me and my siblings came here whilst on holiday and our food was covered in ants!! Just before I started eating I lifted the toast on my plate and there was ants all over my food and plate, my siblings then looked closely and saw there was also ants all over their food. We complained and were quickly rushed out of the restaurant without having to pay a penny. Beware of the ants.
