Very bad. The food was disappointing and bland. The waitress was just ignoring us most of the time. There was no English menue so we couldn't understand much. It smelled like weed and the floor and tables were dirty. The atmosphere was like being in a locker room. Very disappointed.

The food was very tasteless. The spaghetti was tasteless, drenched in tomato paste. The green salads were also tasteless, and everything we tried was tasteless. The only good things were the cappuccino, cocktails, and desserts.

There is absolutely no service here. We waited 10 minutes to be seated at a table for two, despite the restaurant being half empty inside. We then waited another 20 minutes for someone to take our order, but nobody came. Multiple servers walked past our table and were clearly not interested in assisting us. Eventually, I got up, walked over to a waitress and asked for the bill for the water. In hindsight, I regret even paying for that. We left without ordering and would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Had a nice lunch. The salmon sandwich is highly recommended. Finding a parking spot wasn't easy, but that might have just been a one-off.

Had a delicious meal! Service excellent, good service; they think for themselves and are proactive. The food was truly delicious! Pasta portions were on the small side, though. The cheese board was an unexpected disappointment; a lack of finesse and flavor. Four cheeses of not very high quality in large chunks without any explanation. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Lovely restaurant, close to the Kralingse Bos. In the summer there is an outdoor terrace. It is especially nice that everything is fully wheelchair accessible, including a wheelchair-accessible toilet.♿

We have eaten here a number of times now. We mainly keep coming back because the food is delicious. You get a generous portion and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely go back here again. The place has a good atmosphere and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended!!

We received a very warm welcome, along with the two ladies in my company. It was pleasantly busy, and all those people eating and sitting at tables made a nice impression upon entering. There was a nice spot in the back where the noise from chatting visitors was muffled. Great. Bread and olive oil were served on the table, as well as water. The pizza, salad, and ravioli were good, and the coffee was very good. All in all, a cozy place to eat, snack, and relax, despite the crowds. Definitely a good choice for a return visit. Last Sunday, the 28th, Kabouter and Kwebbel stepped onto the terrace for a glass of wine and a wheat beer. I have to say🤷‍♂️ for the price of a glass of wine 🍷 that there could be a few more drops in the glass for the price. And for a glass of wheat beer—a delicious glass of Weizzen, by the way—it was a bit uncomfortable in terms of price. But oh well, whatever, but a challenge for the modern consumer and older visitor. Otherwise, a great, relaxing place👍👌

I found this restaurant 5 years ago, even if I moved to another city i still come here with pleasure. Food always good, friendly staff. I recommend ♥️ Of course if you come from another country you have to get used that in Netherlands the service can be a little slow, but to be honest is not such a big deal, we go out to enjoy and not be in a hurry😉 for me 1 of the best restaurants ever ♥️

The food was actually tasty, but this was the slowest service I have ever experienced. Ordering a cola takes 25 minutes, and that on a quiet Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't full. Ridiculous timing!

The starter (Bruschetta) was very tasty (crispy and flavorful). The main course (pasta) was nothing special. The taste was average. The dessert (lemon meringue cake) was delicious.

Great food. E.g. spaghetti with meat balls. Simple traditional dish, excellent execution. Vibrant atmosphere, both for dinner for two and for groups. Friendly service, with attention for detail and clear explanation about the menu. Recommended.

We had another great lunch here in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was, once again, the only downside; They treat guests and serve as if they work in a casual eatery. As a hospitality consultant, I was not pleased with how things went, yet again. Request to the owner: Please invest some time in training the service staff…

I found this place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. It was the best service we received in such a long time. The food, the atmosphere, everything was 10/10. The staff were very helpful and it was a memorable night for us. I strongly suggest this place.

This atmospheric restaurant is located in a good location in a beautiful old building with authentic decor. There are many tasty drinks on the menu and a large selection of delicious wines. The dishes are creative and prepared with delicious flavor. The costs are in good proportion to the price.

It is a spacious place and got some nice vibe. Services looks rushed, but that can be me. The pasta was tasty I must say. However the pizza for €19 is overpriced for the quality you get. The dough is tasteless, dry and of low quality. Drinks of 200ml, as in most places nowadays, feel like theft. We used to get 330ml and then 250ml and now 200ml. So instead of ordering 2+ drinks I always stick to one. Euro 4 for 200ml I find unacceptable

I was passing by the restaurant almost every day, and is busy most of the time, so I decided to give it a try. They have classic Italian food, and a small market type of store when you enter, where you can buy various Italian goods, like limoncelo etc. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Service was attentive and fast with all the requests. And food was amazing, tasted fresh and delicious, without being overwhelming. I tried the carpaccio, bruscetta, burrata pesto and the polpette di vitello ( meatballs in tomato sauce). Dishes came fast, even though it was busy at the moment, and the food was very well prepared and tasty. Also I was told that their pizza and pasta dishes are also very nice. If you like good, classic Italian food, and value a good service, I would highly recommend the place!

Very nice place. The food was truly excellent. This is absolutely not an average pizzeria, but the dishes are of really high quality. I would almost say it deserves a Michelin star. The only downside I found was that it is quite noisy.

Yesterday, after a disheartening experience elsewhere in Kralingen, we walked on to Vicini, a familiar address on the Korte Kade. We were welcomed warmly; we hadn't made a reservation but they still managed to arrange a table for us. The service was friendly and efficient, without rushing anyone. We enjoyed delicious pizzas and dessert, accompanied by a nice glass of wine and a good espresso to round off the meal. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, suitable for young and old, couples, families, and groups; it caters to a wide audience, and the service was attentive and friendly without exception. We had a lovely dinner there; highly recommended.

We've been coming here for years, but it's been a while since we last visited. It still has a pleasant atmosphere. We were there for lunch. We opted for three pasta dishes and two pizzas. We were all satisfied. Coffee and canolis afterward... that was a fantastic Saturday afternoon! Great service too.

I’ve visited Osteria Vicini several times before, and my previous experiences were always excellent. Everything from the service to the food was spot on. During my most recent visit, however, the service was noticeably slower than usual. We waited around 40 minutes for our food, which was longer than expected and slightly disappointing. That said, the food was delicious as always. Despite the delay, I still think it’s a great place and worth visiting.

Osteria Vicini is not just a restaurant, it’s a concept “begrip”. A well-known gem in a fantastic neighbourhood. Besides great food, they offer space for group activities, yoga, and other events. This is the place where locals actually hang out.

I've been going there for years, but it's gone downhill considerably in the last year. The food is often way too salty, and some ingredients/dishes (e.g., chicken thigh fillet, potatoes) that should be hot are served cold. It's a shame, because it's a very welcoming and friendly place.

We came to this restaurant in 4 and we arrived at 9.15. When we entered no one came to the door or made us sit; after waiting for 5 minutes there and seeing the staff chatting we asked if we could sit wherever we wanted and they told us that we could only sit at the bar and not at the restaurant. We asked if we could have dinner and they told us yes but we should have sit at the bar anyways. After we sat, a waiters came to us and said we should have ordered in 5 min because it was late. When we tried to ordered some starters they said to us we couldnt because it was late. Anyways, we got 3 pasta and 1 pizza and the food was really good. We got ravioli di zucca e ricotta, linguine ai gamberetti and one pizza margherita. The pasta was delicious and it was fresh. The filling of the ravioli also tasted so good! As for the pizza it was okay but personally i would suggest ordering pasta. We also got dessert: babà, tiramisu, lava cake and appeltart. Also the dessert were all good. The restaurant also looked very nice. The only reason why i domt give 5 stars is the way in which the service was handled at first; i understand we arrived late (i also work in the service sector) but if u dont want us to sit just tell us instead of rushing us and making us sit in the bar where we had to ask for cutlery. Anyways, i really reccomand this restaurant and we are going to come back 100%!

What should have been a lovely Christmas Eve with delicious food unfortunately didn't end as planned, so we won't be returning! What happened? We ordered two appetizers and two main courses. Almost all the main courses on the menu are priced between €20 and €30. The menu also includes the daily menu for meat and fish. The waiter told us about the rib-eye steak, which we ordered along with pasta. When we tried to order a sandwich beforehand, we were told it was a lot. When we finally got the main course, it turned out to be a kilo (!) of rib-eye steak. We tried our best, but of course, we couldn't finish it all. The other waiter who came to collect our plates asked if we hadn't been told that the rib-eye steak was for 2-5 people. We hadn't been told anything at all, and he found that strange. After all, he had asked our waiter because he also thought our order was "a lot," and he had indicated that he had already told us all about it. We assumed the rib-eye would cost more, but that it would be €125, almost 65% of the bill. We nearly fell off our chairs because we weren't prepared for this. Our waiter was clearly uncomfortable and served the entire restaurant before returning to us. We wanted to speak to the manager, but we didn't see him. We felt like he didn't want to admit his mistake to his manager. He also considered it our problem and didn't acknowledge that he'd misinformed us. All in all, we received a small discount, but we went home with a very bad taste in our mouths and will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone we speak to. That's no way to treat your customers, especially not on Christmas Eve!

Had lunch, not a great experience. My partner had pasta with short rib ragu; it was fine, but they couldn't quite manage the Parmesan foam, so it came with just plain cheese on top. That's not pasta worth 25 euros. I had a vitello tonato sandwich; it tasted a bit bland. Red velvet cake was really not good. The canoli were good, though. After some insistence, we were given a free canoli as compensation for the failed main course. I won't be back. The price-quality ratio is poor.

Another gem found in Rotterdam. Four friends/colleagues and I had a truly delicious meal at a packed Osteria on a Thursday evening. Despite the crowds, there's a relaxed atmosphere, and the courses come out at a good pace. Everything is perfect, and they'll definitely be seeing me again.

We ordered bread with burrata and pesto, wine and a grilled chicken panini. Amazing food and ambiance! Highly recommend as a lunch or brunch option ! They have their own little merch place to pick up some authentic Italian food and drinks.

Shrinkflation at its finest. What was once a generous restaurant where you knew in advance you were going to be spoiled is unfortunately completely out of proportion in terms of portions and price. Until recently, you'd get a basket of bread with oil on the table. Now? Pay. A tiny extra bowl of Parmesan cheese for your pasta? Pay. Spaghetti with meatballs? 4 years ago €13.75. Now €20, and that will probably soon be €22. Mark my words. Pizzas have also become much smaller, resulting in a size that's just too big for a bambino pizza but too small for a main course. With Neapolitan pizzas, I accept more dough than toppings. That's how it should be. Not with these pizzas. And the most laughable thing was the new wine glasses with a logo and a pour line on them. Everyone knows that if you have glasses like that, your staff isn't skilled enough and you're a cheapskate. In France or Italy, they'd spontaneously throw away a glass like that out of pride. And the line is so low that you get a ridiculously meager glass for 9 euros. Unfortunately. Once great, there are now much better options in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. The staff were very attentive and quick, though. That must be said.

A lovely spot, especially in the morning. Peace and quiet, coffee, and a newspaper. And tiramisu is available without cocoa powder. So nice! It gets busy and noisy inside in the afternoon.

We booked for 18:00 for our dinner with my taiwanese friend and this is our first dinner together, but such a disappointment because of this restaurant, its around 19:00 and we just almost finishing our maincourse as we are not big eater, so we eat our food gently, then were planning also to order a dessert after maincourse but we dont have that feeling anymore because like while eating a waiter come over and theyre told us we need to finish the food and theyre need our table for other customer, seriously ?? Sounding like theyre want to kicking us out and 1.5 hours and making us rush to finish our food ? Befause theyre said that table only reserve for us for 18 to 19:30 and theyre dont event told us by email or before we start , My gosh what kind of restaurant is this🤨. Will never comeback im sorry there will be better restaurant and better service we could find. We didnt even finish our precourse the calamares and olive pity really its still a lot because of our annoying feeling to them.

I come here often; the food is good, and it's a nice place. However, the last two times were not so good. I think they're understaffed, like many other companies. A long wait before someone comes to take our drink orders. A long wait for our drinks to arrive. A long wait for our food to be taken. A very long wait between the appetizer and the main course. And then a long wait for the desserts, which they forgot to bring, which is a shame... And yet, I'll still go back because the food is delicious. Maybe I was just a bit unlucky twice.

Always a pleasure to visit, whether it's on the terrace in the summer or inside in a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service with expert knowledge of the products. One minor point: the risotto isn't available for lunch, but only after 5:00 PM.

I've scheduled a few work meetings there now. They serve delicious coffee and lunch. I'll be going there privately in the evening soon; I've heard from friends that they also offer a great dinner with kids.

This remains my favorite place in Rotterdam. Absolutely everything here is delicious. The zucchini and asparagus sandwich was finger-licking good.

The pizza was really good, made with fresh ingredients and a nice thin base. I loved the indoor layout too, it felt warm and comfortable. The waiter gave great service. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the iced coffee. It wasn’t a regular iced coffee, more like a slushy frozen one, which felt a bit off. It would help if the menu explained that more clearly.

We felt unwelcome. We came here for dinner and were immediately told the kitchen closes at 3:00 PM! We thought, "Okay, fine, we still have fifteen minutes." It turns out a small portion of the menu isn't available from 3:00 PM onward, but the rest is. She apparently didn't want to help us. Furthermore, our waitress was lacking in friendliness. Half our order was delivered, and we never received the requested water. We also had to wait a long time for a second drink order (there were seven tables in total). In short, the staff wasn't the best. The food was fine. The goat cheese salad was a small portion and very bland in taste, the salad quality was very poor, the lettuce stems were used, not just the leaves, and the bread served with the dishes was dry and tough. The calamari and carpaccio were very tasty. In short: will we be back? Maybe in a few years.

We came here with friends who frequent this place very often. Nice ambience and service is friendly and forthcoming. We were not very hungry so we shared a pizza and pasta dish. Both were good. Loved the Affogato which they offered with decaf espresso (something that one doesn't get everywhere).

The food has deteriorated. Not exceptional, but it is expensive. The atmosphere is nice and the service friendly. Fine for a quick bite, but if you want something special, you'll need to go elsewhere.

The plan was to book for Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 6:30 PM, but due to various circumstances, it wasn't possible. It was bizarre! PS: with 7 guests.

The restaurant is quite good but it doesn't have air conditioning so eating inside is not recommended during the summer (we were dying of heat!!!)

A really cozy place with friendly people and a nice terrace. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing: the pizza was very thinly topped, and the meat of the day was tough, sinewy, and bland. A real shame.

Apparently, dogs are allowed in the restaurant. I was occasionally on a leash, but it was four meters long and therefore of little use. Servers asked if I could pass them the plates.
