Situated at the popular “seen and be seen “ Main Street in downtown Rotterdam , traditional Italian restaurant Napoli is worth its heritage as a frequent visitor and lover of traditional Italian cuisine . For dinner I ordered 2 main dishes : Tagliatelle Bocconcini , and Spaghetti Ossobuco . Drinks? A local beer . Verdict ! Exquisite! Simply wel prepared and balanced in taste and looks and what i expected . Worth a return visit ? Absolutely ! Infact it’s gonna be on my “ must visit regularly “ weekly roster when eating outdoors for lunch or dinner .

We had a delicious meal and the staff were incredibly friendly. We are in Rotterdam for the weekend and walked past here by chance; we are so incredibly happy that there was still a spot available. The homemade lemonade was delicious too.

I called on Thursday evening from the town hall square to ask if there was still a table available for 3 people. "Outside will be difficult," she said, "but just come on over... we'll arrange something." Honestly, I've walked past it 1,000 times. Always full, so I've never eaten there. We arrived and the table was ready in the best spot on the terrace... service was top-notch, cheerful, friendly, and they gave good advice about the food. We had a very good meal, lovely wine to go with it, and found it very enjoyable.

In our opinion, Restaurant Napoli is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Rotterdam. We have eaten here several times, and it is actually always good. The dishes are flavorful, the quality is consistent, and you can tell that they work with good ingredients. The wine list is also excellent and complements the dishes perfectly. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, as you would expect in a traditional Italian restaurant. Do keep in mind, however, that it can be quite noisy. There are often many guests in a relatively small space, making it sometimes difficult to have a quiet conversation. Another area for improvement is the restrooms. In our view, the toilets could be cleaner and fresher. That does not quite match the quality the kitchen exudes. Despite these minor shortcomings, Restaurant Napoli is absolutely highly recommended. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with delicious dishes, good wines, and consistent quality, you have certainly come to the right place.

A totally frustrated person who was working here today, 13.5.2026, around 16:30, started shouting at two female customers because they grabbed a chair on the terrace just before opening time to wait for the restaurant to open. If you have so much stress before you open, you'd be better off working in a coal mine and venting your frustrations there, please.

Negative experience for me — it doesn’t live up to its name. We also booked a table, but they made us wait for 20 minutes. The food wasn’t really good; maybe it’s acceptable by European standards, but not for me.

Eaten at this restaurant for the first time. It was delicious! Authentic Italian. The pizza wasn't perfectly round, which shows it's fresh. And the crust.....not cardboard. Large ravioli, wonderfully fresh. Service is good. The staff speaks a lot of English. It was quite busy there. Definitely recommended. Reservations are necessary, though. Great!

Shockingly rude manager, worst service I’ve experienced Absolutely unacceptable experience. It was a busy day, so we sat outside after being given menus. No one bothered to come take our order for over 30 minutes. When the manager finally came over, I politely asked if we could order. Her response? A smirky laugh followed by a blunt “no.” Thinking she was joking, we waited, but she continued, saying: “You can’t order if you’re sitting outside, I don’t have time for this.” This had NEVER been communicated to us before. The attitude was incredibly rude, dismissive, and honestly shocking for someone in a managerial position. No apology, no explanation, just pure disrespect. If this is how they treat customers, I genuinely don’t understand how this place is still running. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your time and go somewhere that actually values basic human decency.

“I dont have time for you” - Manager There was a misunderstanding between us and the restaurant staff. This is ok and we can deal with this as we understand that the restaurant and staff were busy, but it should be compensated for. The problem occurred when the “manager” of this restaurant told us she “didn’t have time for us”. We had already spent on beverages at the restaurant, making us paying costumers. Unacceptable, we had an altercation after this and resorted to paying for our drinks and leaving, where we also took all the candy that came with the bill !!!

Very disappointing experience, horrible service, we were sat outside for 30 mins waiting to order, when a member of the staff finally comes out ( after we went inside asking for someone), we then ask if we could order and are appalled by the answer which was a smirk and a « no ». That member of staff later turned out to be the manager of the place who then proceeded with a « I don’t have time for this » « it’s too busy for you to order ». I understand that restaurants can get busy, but if it gets that busy, then that’s an organisation problem that needs to be fixed. Furthermore, I expect to be treated with respect, not just by a staff member at what I thought was a decent restaurant, but on a human level. I went to Ristorante Napoli expecting to have a good time, I left feeling insulted, mistreated and hungry. This was extremely unacceptable, and the fact that this all came from the manager of the place is even more concerning.

The staff were extremely friendly and genuinely helpful from the moment we walked in. They made us feel very welcome and took the time to assist us with recommendations. I highly recommend the truffle pizza it was absolutely delicious.

The lasagna was very good and I enjoyed the service.

We arrived as a group of six (two adults, two teenagers, and two children). We speak very little English, but the servers adapted very well and were very welcoming. The food was excellent (pizzas, lasagna, and pasta carbonara). The portions were perfect. Thank you, Philippe (from Ethan, the very strong little boy).

I've known this restaurant since the 1990s. That doesn't say anything about the current situation, and certainly shouldn't be used as a point of comparison. Everything is different, neither better nor worse. Still, it's important to pay attention to labels and deliver genuine quality. And that's what was lacking.

The atmosphere is inviting, although it gets very noisy when the place is full. I also appreciated the flexibility in making desired changes to the pizza. The name "Napoli" leads you to expect Neapolitan pizza. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The crust wasn't airy at all, but rather hard and chewy. It could be better...

The place seemed nice at first, but the service was incredibly rushed. No dessert was offered despite the very reasonable hour of 7:05 PM. I left with an €82 bill… still hungry! Luckily, the Italian wine was good. The ravioli was ridiculously expensive at €26 for a main course… I left the restaurant with a rumbling stomach. The pizza was oversized, with more dough than toppings. A real shame. The interior, however, is lovely despite the noise.

If you want real "family style" Italian food, then you can trust this place. Long story and respect to Italian kitchen. Wine card is also very good for every taste. Service very good and very friendly, adding to the experience. The small downside, but no way a reason not to go, is that is bit noisy

Great Italian restaurant, definitely worth the effort to sample the delicious Italian cuisine here. Very fast and friendly service. And for those interested, there is also a handsome Italian muscleman working the service 😜.

Dishes were kind of bland, especially for the price (tasted Pasta al ragu and lasagnia). For that price, expected more. Service and atmosohere very nice (and the bread was great).

We ordered six pizzas to take away. The pizza cost €12, was the size of a normal hand, and came uncut. Cutting it took another ten minutes, and when the pizza arrived, it was cold. Absolutely not recommended.

I ordered the tartufo porchini ravioli for main and tiramisu for dessert, both were lovely. The lady serving us was very friendly. Since I went in the early afternoon, reservation was not needed. I think the ambience is even better during the evening.

Very welcoming, whilst full we were offered the bar area. Menu has a good selection. Bar service and choice brilliant. Service friendly and efficient. I would recommend this if your in the blaak / rotterdam area.

Lasagna left me cold. After it was heated up again, I got it back (not just for me). He wanted to take the beer away while it was still half full. Friendly service but pushy, hanging over you when serving and not to mention the prices, which are not in proportion to what you get. Experience was not pleasant. Shame!

Este no era un restaurante que apareció en mi lista de investigación para visitar Rotterdam. Mi marido lo encontró por suerte buscando en lo que estaba cerca de donde estábamos para echar un vistazo y beber esa noche. No habíamos reservado y apareció en la oportunidad de una mesa. Creo que debimos haber tenido suerte con nuestro tiempo ya que el restaurante se llenó rápidamente. ¿Qué puedo decir, la comida y el vino – simplemente increíble. No soy un gran comedor de carne, sin embargo compartimos una tabla de charcutería para comenzar, creo que me comí la mayoría!!! Teníamos pasta para el plato principal, tengo que decir que mi pasta fue cocinada a la perfección. Quién hubiera pensado que obtendría mi mejor pasta en Rotterdam en lugar de Nápoles. No podría haber disfrutado más de mi velada, la comida era fantástica, sin embargo también lo era el servicio, amable, rápido (no demasiado rápido) y atento. Volvería por más en un santiamén.

One of the places that have surprised us the most lately in Rotterdam. Very good food quality, for a reasonable price. In our case we ordered Tartufo ravioli, lasagna and spaghetti ragù, everything was very good. The visit is recommended.

El restaurante era muy servicial a pesar de que no había reservado y estaba muy ocupado! ¿Por dónde empiezo... la comida era increíble! 5 * y mejor de lo que esperaba. El personal era muy amable y no podía hacer lo suficiente por mí. La comida era rápida y excelente servicio. Si alguna vez estoy en Rotterdam de nuevo sin duda volveré!

We accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant but we are mega happy. Italy in Rotterdam! Delicious pizza, sometimes I haven't eaten such in Italy, carbonara delicious!!! Service and atmosphere like in Italy, cozy, loud, cheerful, you can feel the temperament of the Italian owner and service! We will definitely go back there!

I've eaten at this restaurant before, it was better then. The pizza base was soft in the middle, the pasta with lobster was strangely warm. The wine was good. The service was flirting with each other. And I know (certainly for this price) a much better Italian restaurant, but it's not in the center.
