Otto e Mezzo Pizzeria in Wijk 01 Binnenstad

We came here on Whit Sunday. The otherwise very friendly staff came to tell us that everything on the menu was available to order except the pasta (?), so only pizza. We thought that was strange, but oh well. The weather was nice and the view from the outdoor terrace was good. The pizza was fine too, although the plate was too small, meaning you couldn't really cut it properly. And then we had the smaller pizza, which at €17 was quite on the pricey side. Clever though, a small plate makes the pizza look bigger.

We went out for dinner with our team at Otto e Mezzo in Dordrecht and had a truly fantastic evening. The location by the harbor makes it immediately special. A beautiful, atmospheric spot with a cozy and relaxed vibe. Exactly the kind of restaurant where you like to linger a little longer. The food was excellent. Delicious pizzas, high-quality ingredients, and everything prepared with care. You can taste that attention is paid to the food here. What made the evening complete for us was the hospitality. The host is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares for his guests. As a result, you immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. For us, it was a very successful evening with the restaurant. Good food, a beautiful location, and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back here again! Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious and atmospheric Italian food in Dordrecht.

Actually, nothing to complain about. The food was fine. Just one tip... Do something about the tea. Pickwick "Winter Glow" in a preserving jar in the summer? So many great concepts available.

Very friendly and fast service. The location right on the harbor was fantastic, and the weather was perfect too. I had a pizza with tomato sauce, prosciutto, pesto, and a very delicious cheese. The combination was a real treat. We also had a Bolognese pizza, which was also highly praised. Thank you! ;)

We were burning up in the sun; there was no extra parasol. The German man was a bit rude at the beginning. The food was just good.

Nice restaurant in a very nice location. The food is good but not amazing or anything, and there isn't a huge selection either. The location makes it really nice and the atmosphere is also very cozy.

Seems like an authentic italian restaurant at first glance and while the pizza itself was pretty good the rest of my experience was lackluster. Small, expensive portions and mediocre dessert. The menu also suggests you get several "cannoli" for almost 13€ while in fact you get served a single "cannolo". All in all a mediocre wannabe italian.

We arrived at the restaurant at 10:30 PM and they refused us entry, saying, "We're closed," even though their hours state they're open until midnight. Furthermore, once we got inside, the waitress stared at me and laughed with her friends. I strongly advise against this establishment; they clearly don't care about their work and have a profound lack of respect for tourists.

We had a delicious meal and celebrated my 50th birthday.

Unfortunately, despite previous good experiences (albeit a few years ago), this time we had a bad experience. In addition to the outside door next to our table constantly opening and closing halfway—which was not only cold but also very noisy—the food was not as expected either. The surprise menu was not good value for money and was served so quickly that it felt like a fast-food experience. The restaurant was full, so that may have been the reason, but for us, it was a bad experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic meal; now I know what pizza should taste like. The atmosphere is also good, although I had one small complaint: it was 4 degrees outside, so it was quite chilly inside, especially when the others walked by. It was fantastic.

The food here is good, but the prices have been raised to an unreasonable level. The cost no longer matches the value you receive, making it hard to justify a return visit. A shame, as it used to be a go-to spot for us.

We had dinner at this pizzeria "Otto e Mezzo Pizzeria" in Dordrecht during our trip on the Eurovélo19 / Maasroute. You are greeted by the friendly and very kind waitress, who speaks English. I recommend the Pizza Quattro Formaggies with provolone (Italian cheese from the south of the country), the garlic pasta, and for dessert a red fruit panna cotta, and a tiramisu (hand-whipped sabayon and a biscuit soaked in fresh coffee and Marsala wine). A real delight. Thank you to the chef, the service is impeccable. The plates are served with fresh products. I recommend this address for cycle tourists.

The pizza, service, and atmosphere here are by far the best in town. Add to that the great music playing softly in the background – enjoyable but never disturbing the conversation – and you get the perfect spot to spend time. The staff is extremely friendly, and you can feel the wonderful atmosphere among them as well. Besides the pizza, the other dishes we tried were excellent too. Highly recommended!

After an hour of waiting, our pizzas finally arrived. Several tables after us had finished. Fortunately, my tablemates enjoyed their food. My pizza was a lukewarm, flat, cardboard pancake. The intention was to have a good meal. The service was certainly friendly.

Tasty pizza, but still quite expensive.

We had a great meal like in the old days! Definitely try the Calamari and Carote e Nduja. And the toilet handle is fixed again, what a treat!

Horrible. We had reservations for 6 people. Half the menu consists of pizzas topped with gorgonzola (which we love and came for), but they didn't have it. We ordered meatballs, calamari, and focaccia bread as appetizers. For main courses, pizzas with gorgonzola (which was replaced with another cheese) and a pizza with goat cheese. First comment: no gorgonzola. Second comment: no goat cheese. Returned after 5 minutes: we're out of bread. Fourth: oh, and no calamari. Fifth: AND NO BOLOGNESE SAUCE. After we'd already had our wine and drinks, we were told that half our order was gone. Ridiculous. We immediately asked for the bill so we could go to another restaurant. A meager apology, and that was it. Never again.

We've been coming here for years because it's one of the kids' favorites. Over the years, the only consistent thing has been the price hike, unfortunately. We were already coming back when prices were €8.50 per pizza (Otto e mezzo in Italian) and the owner wasn't just sitting on his stool. The quality (both food and service) was good for a long time, but in recent years it's been a recurring problem. Twenty euros for a pizza you could easily roll into a pogo ball is not good. €15 for a bowl of fried squid rings from the Kreko freezer is not good. The prices from before the pandemic won't return; I'm not that naive, but when you charge that much, you have to deliver. No prossima volta for me.

It was our first time here. The service was a bit slow, but I was satisfied with the taste of the pizza. Worth coming again.

Otto e Mezzo is a truly wonderful place to be, right by the harbor in the most beautiful part of Dordrecht. It's a truly beautiful location. The food is excellent, not overly good, but of good quality (which has, however, become considerably more expensive recently). However, the service has been a problem ever since Otto e Mezzo opened. They're short-staffed (which is an issue everywhere, I understand), and they also rush around without paying attention to whether anyone wants to order. A main course isn't sent to the kitchen until the starter is picked up, but then you have to do that and keep an eye on it. There's also a long wait before you can even order anything. The staff is friendly, though; it's just a busy place, even on a Wednesday evening. Perhaps the owner should be a bit more cooperative? That would definitely make a difference.

A pizzeria in Dordrecht with both a great view and delicious food! You can really tell it’s authentic Italian dough—it’s light and doesn’t upset your stomach afterwards. The ingredients are high-quality, and the portions are quite satisfying. The staff are also very helpful. We’ve been there several times and left happy every time ❤️ We’ve always been lucky enough to find a table without a reservation, but since it gets quite busy—especially around 7:00 PM—it’s definitely a good idea to book in advance.

Otto e Mezzo is a really nice restaurant on the harbors of Dordrecht. The food is very tasty! We shared small dishes including pizza with a group of colleagues and it was much better than expected! You can see where it is cooked and the atmosphere is also very cozy. The restaurant is not very big, which makes it cozy. There is also a terrace that is largely covered. For people who are very sensitive to stimuli/sound, it is better to eat outside. I recommend it to everyone! It wasn't very expensive either.

I chose it once because it had a high score, the flavors were not bad, the service was a little slow. Prices are reasonable. It surpasses its class in price / performance. I recommend.

What a fantastic experience at Otto e Mezzo! From the moment we walked in, we were treated incredibly well. Joris really deserves a special mention: his advice on the wine choice was perfect. He knew how to match the wine colors and flavors exactly to our dishes, which lifted the entire evening to a higher level. And then the food: chef Damiën has really cooked fantastic food. Every dish was prepared down to the last detail, full of flavor and creativity. You can really taste the passion and craftsmanship in every plate. In short, an evening we will not soon forget. It is a restaurant I like to visit. Unfortunately, the price/quality ratio of food is becoming increasingly divergent. No drinks menu, starters under so-called sharing, and almost burnt 4-cheese pizza for which I have to wait 40 minutes is very difficult for me. I find it very cheap to make up for it by quickly offering a drink or a chat that 15 pizzas were for. May I think that communication between kitchen, service and customers is on the poor side? A free drink would have made it more decent. Hopefully things will get better soon, otherwise there are plenty of other nice places and Italian places in Dordrecht to go to.

Cozy restaurant on the water and delicious food. It's a shame that prices have gone up so much without this being reflected in quality or service. I didn't know what I was seeing when I discovered afterwards that they charged €8.95 for 0.75L of water, what kind of ridiculous thing is that?

The pasta and risotto were way too salty, a waste of money.

De ambiance is prima en de bediening ook, maar het eten was veel te zout, pasta met ansjovis is natuurlijk zout, maar dit was niet eten. De risotto was ook te zout. Dit gemeld, maar geen compensatie in de vorm van koffie of zo. Zonde van het geld.

Very good food and nice wine in a nice atmosphere. But how incredibly expensive. Bottle of sparkling water 8 euros, latte macchiato 5.75 euros. By the way, you don't get a drinks menu, which is very clever. So-called shared dining dishes that are really no bigger than a starter, even though they claim otherwise. No matter how good the taste is, I won't come back here because the price/quality is lacking. Still manageable for a single pasta or pizza, but otherwise the bill is rising alarmingly fast.

Recently ate here to celebrate my birthday. I had reserved a time slot from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. At 7:30 PM an employee came to tell us that they needed the table because there was a group of 15 people outside. We indicated that we still had 30 minutes and would like another dessert. However, that was not possible. We were still able to sit at the bar and have a drink. There was nothing else that could be done. We left the restaurant with an unpleasant feeling. This absolutely does not deserve the beauty prize.

Great Italian food. The tastiest risotto I have ever tasted. Unique pizzas with combinations that we didn't know yet, but everything was just right. Nice service too.

Delicious food! We had pizza and lasagna for mains...very tasty (although I think the lasagna could have been a little more "tomato-like") and the fried artichoke hearts and meatballs for starters...very tasty! Nice location and friendly staff. We will definitely come back!

We had dinner at Otto e Mezzo in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, for the first time. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many restaurants, and we were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The location was lovely, the old fish market, which is a monument at the harbour. The suggestion of the waitress to share a number of entrees was a very good one. We enjoyed the different anti pasti dishes and the very friendly and knowledgeable service. We ended the meal with a lovely lemon sorbet with fresh summer berries. All in all, a lovely night out in Dordrecht and are definitely planning to come back during our next visit to Dordrecht

We komen hier regelmatig zodra het weer het toelaat om buiten op het terras te zitten. Met een prachtig uitzicht op de nieuwe haven, een wijntje en een pizzaatje. Heerlijk genieten! Maar sinds gisteren, onze eerste keer deze zomer, viel het ons enorm tegen. De prijzen zijn niet meer in balans met de kwaliteit. Euro 29,00 voor een heel simpel flesje rosé en minimaal euro 17,00 voor een pizza met een hele dikke rand en nauwelijks toppings. Euro 7,50 voor een flesje SPA blauw. Voor meer dan 75,00 euro even een pizzaatje eten met een wijntje, dan zijn er genoeg andere kwaliteitsplekjes rondom de oude havens van Dordrecht. Jammer!!

Everything was great, the food, the service and the atmosphere. We received advice from our host to fill the table with small dishes instead of a starter (there were eight of us). According to our host, this was one of the specialties of the new chef. He was right! Was just fantastic. Then the same with the main courses, also perfect! We had already eaten so much that we didn't want dessert anymore. But this was not possible, they served the best tiramisu in Dordrecht. Done anyway. Knocked again. Then you would think we will see it in the bill, all those goodies. That wasn't too bad either, it was actually cheap. Otto and mezzo is highly recommended!

I've been here twice, once for my birthday and the second on Mother's Day (today). Both times there was miscommunication and on their end, they refuse to help make the situation better. My friends advised me the first incident here was "niet normaal" and that I should let them know their service interaction was not right, but I'm still new here and don't like confrontation, so I paid the large bill and brushed it off that they were overwhelmed with the large party I brought. This time, I brought up my thoughts about today's situation and the manager don't said "no" and was not willing at all to waiver, so I again had to pay a large bill for an incorrect order due to miscommunication. I've been left with a bad feeling from this place on two special occasions that I've visited them and they've soured my nights both times. I won't return, and they of course don't care, but this is my experience with this restaurant.

Very long wait due to crowds for our 2 pizzas. Dordt on Steam and lasted more than an hour and a half.

I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time! Delicious! It was raining so unfortunately we couldn't sit outside. The service was good, the wine was tasty but could have been a little 'cooler'. Recommended if you like Italian food! I would love to come back someday. (Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but it looked like a pizza should look like 😆). By the way: the tiramisu was also tasty! 😋

Gisteravond heerlijk gegeten met mijn zoon op deze gezellige en sfeervolle locatie bij de haven. Het personeel was ook zeer vriendelijk! Het eten was super. Begreep dat er een nieuwe kok is. Zeker een aanwinst en met veel zorg bereid! Mooi om te zien! Was zeer gecharmeerd ook van de tiramisu. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!☺️

What a nice place to be and eat. Good location, friendly service and surprising dishes. The chef conjures up a unique vitello tonnato from the kitchen, which is definitely recommended. Various dishes were eaten, all tasty.

Delicious Italian! Tasty antipasti and very good pizzas. I used to come here often and now I went back once in the winter. It was a bit draughty, but I would love to come back again in the summer :)

Helaas is de menukaart pas veranderd met gerechten die wij allemaal niet lekker vonden (en ook niet snapten) en zijn we na het drankje maar ergens anders wat gaan eten. Erg jammer. Aardige bediening en werd er netjes gevraagd wat we van de nieuwe menukaart vonden. Voorheen hebben we er wel heerlijk gegeten en we hopen dat we ooit daar weer kunnen dineren.
