We had a wonderful meal here last week. We opted for the three-course surprise menu, and it was a really good choice. There were surprising dishes that I wouldn't have chosen myself, but which turned out to be delicious. In the end, it was more elaborate than a three-course meal thanks to the delicious rolls (with truly delicious olive oil), culinary amuse-bouches, and even a dessert amuse-bouche (we thought this was dessert and found it a bit small, but it turned out there was a proper dessert to follow). The service is friendly, courteous, and fast. I thought the bill was reasonable; the price-quality ratio is more than excellent. The decor could use a bit more attention, but at the same time, the "living room" feel is also pleasant.

Lots of sandwiches but they were necessary otherwise you wouldn't have eaten enough. The different wines went very well with the dishes but to pay €10 per glass for that!!! The dishes were good but I'll leave it at that. Next week back to France and eat just as well there for 20% of the price.

I liked the food but the flavors were not surprising. The service was okay, they asked several times, really too often if we wanted something to drink. This was annoying. Price / quality not quite right

Nice unique experience. The service is definitely worth mentioning. Friendly, attentive, never tired to do something for you. Parking can be/become a 'thing'.

We thoroughly enjoyed the asparagus dinner. Nice service, the chef who came to the table to explain a dish. Had a nice evening on the terrace in the courtyard.

Beautiful pearl this delicious restaurant in Grave! Food at star level in a unique place. Will definitely come back in the summer to eat on the terrace.

We recently went here for a wedding, the food was delicious and elegantly decorated and everything in terms of location was taken care of down to the last detail.

Ate here for the first time after the restaurant weeks. Super friendly service. A beautifully balanced and varied 5-course menu with very fine wine pairing. Enjoyed a relaxing experience in a beautiful ambiance. We will definitely go back again.

Eat a lot. Or cold and a very long wait. Have company party. Very disappointing.

Nice setting and friendly staff. The creativity of the al la cart dishes is limited. Vegetable ingredients in particular are repeated in the various dishes. Correct restaurant but not exceptional

We had a very nice evening, with a seafood platter, champagne and very nice service. Unfortunately it was unbearable outside because the music was way too loud with poor bass quality, which is why we were very annoyed at first, but our service and the delicious food turned the evening around for the better

First time with a large group. Excellent food, nice atmosphere and they take dietary requirements into account. Tonight there were four of us and it was extremely good. They can still practice time management. Sometimes the time between courses was too short and other times too long. This time had lunch with the kids for my birthday. Was very pleasant.

Friendly service, apart from a very rude middle-aged woman who accused me of using drugs after a visit to the toilet, after I went in with a friend who helped me with my medication. an error in judgment is easily made, but taking it bluntly and then blaming is downright rude and inappropriate. Shame about the experience.

Ovum is a restaurant in a beautiful location in Grave. We had a delicious meal here as guests during a 40th wedding anniversary. We were served fantastically beautiful dishes on the table. Not only a pleasure to look at, but also delicious in taste. Quintus the new chef has taken over the spoon and now continues in Ovum together with his inspiring team to create inspiringly beautiful and tasty menus.

We had a 2 course lunch menu and then dessert plus coffee. An extensive lunch. Really great👍

Last Saturday we had dinner for the first time at Ovum in Grave. The navigation sent me around the corner, where I came across a row of posts blocking the passage. So we slowly backed up and then parked along the street. When you entered you felt immediately a guest. Very nice that the open kitchen is located next to the entrance, and there were plenty of friendly staff walking around. The service was top notch all evening, as was the pace. We had a five course menu, and four of the five courses were art. Especially the starter with pointed cabbage, the unforgettable one foie gras crème brûlée and the special tiramisu will stay with me for a long time. The amuse, the nice pre-dessert and the wide choice of sandwiches with three different delicious butters also contributed to the culinary pleasure. We only found the "signature dish" of fried tuber to be slightly inferior in comparison to the rest. They will definitely see me again here!

Heerlijk gegeten…. Prachtige lokatie

Met een selecte groep mochten wij vanavond genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd, drankjes, een fijne sfeer en geweldig entertainment van ' Uit de Qunst'. Wat een gezelligheid....! Dank jullie heel hartelijk voor jullie fantastische inzet. Heel fijne en mooie dagen gewenst!

Heerlijk gegeten! mijn vegetarische knol was overheerlijk. en super lief dat het gehele restaurant zich belangeloos inzet voor de minder bedeelde onder ons. We hebben genoten van een 5 sterren waardig kerstdiner.

Heel mooie plek om te vertoeven….

Hier geweest voor ‘diner in the dark’. Was een erg bijzondere ervaring, erg genoten van het heerlijke eten in een mooie setting bij kaarslicht :). We vonden alleen wel dat de bediening iets beter kon op sommige vlakken. In het begin van de avond hadden we het fijn gevonden als iemand aan tafel even had uitgelegd wat precies de bedoeling was. Nu zaten we een half uur te wachten, en moesten we daarna zelf vragen hoe het in zijn werking ging en of er eventueel een bijpassend wijn arrangement was. Daarnaast hadden we een beetje het idee dat het personeel een stukje tekst over de gerechten en wijnen uit hun hoofd hadden geleerd, maar eigenlijk niet zo goed wisten waar ze het over hadden. Kon iets beter :) dat zou ik graag anders willen zien mochten we hier nog een keer terug komen. de bediening was ontzettend vriendelijk en wisten in de basis wat ze moesten doen, alleen er miste een dieper niveau van kennis en voorbereiding op de avond, een niveau dat in dit segment horeca wel verwacht wordt. Verder hebben we nog steeds een fantastische avond gehad. De gerechten waren van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit en zeer creatief. Echt een ware beleving. Iedereen was ook ontzettend vriendelijk en het restaurant was prachtig aangekleed. Voor ons waren het alleen wat puntjes op de i die misten.

We hebben met een behoorlijke groep (ca 20 pers) een vroeg diner gehad. Bediening was onder de maat en op kinderen was niet gerekend. Tussen de gerechten duurde het lang en uit kregen de kinderen het verkeerde gerecht. De friet was enorm vet en na een klacht kregen we het schaaltje terug met de mededeling dat het zo hoorde!? Kortom onbevredigend antwoord. Als klap op de vuurpijl; het personeel zat tijdens ons vertrek ook te eten en ze aten zelf wel normale friet? Tot overmaat van ramp; mijn jongste zoon kwam die nacht om 04:00 uur uit bed om de inhoud van zijn maag te ledigen. Wij komen hier nooit meer!

Gezellig een heerlijk bakje koffie in de sfeervolle tuin.

Heel lekker gegeten. Top locatie, vooral zo lekker buiten in de tuin. Gerechten waren top.

Wij hebben heerlijk geluncht bij Ovum. Lastig kiezen want álles op het menu leek ons heerlijk. We kozen voor de garnalenkroketten en Holtkamp kroketten, die geserveerd worden met heerlijk brioche brood. De ambiance is super, de locatie is erg mooi, eten bij Ovum is als een mini-vakantie. De bediening is bijzonder vriendelijk. Enige kritiekpuntje is dat de plateau-borden weliswaar heel mooi zijn, maar niet zo prettig zijn in het gebruik. Je moet “hoog” eten en goed opletten dat je alleen snijdt midden in het bord omdat het anders wellicht omkukelt.

The 4-course lunch at Ovum was truly an experience. Every new dish that arrived at the table was extraordinary, thought through till the last detail. They surprised us with new combinations of tastes and textures. Their in-house sommelier is there to choose the best wines for your dishes. Ovum’s hidden courtyard garden is worth a separate mention. It contributes tremendously to the atmosphere. You feel secluded, taken care of and at peace the entire time. Just soaking in the beauty around you with a glass of wine. If you are worried about it being too posh, you shouldn’t be. Guests were just normally dressed people. But I would still wear a short or a dress because it feels appropriate. Highly recommend!

De bruiloft van onze dochter is mede door jullie onvergetelijk geworden ! Geweldig eten, super personeel ( speciaal Nick ons aanspreekpunt vanaf donderdag), heerlijk geslapen . Prachtige locatie , in 1 woord TOP 👌👌

Gezellige,sfeervolle locatie met fijne,prettige service.

Schitterende locatie waar wij een lekkere lunch hebben gehad. Paddestoelen soep met kleine belegde broodjes met kip en tonijn. Heerlijk in de mooi aangelegde tuin, in het zonnetje gezeten.

Wow, heerlijk gegeten op hoog niveau. Ongekend in de regio. De "surf&turf", de langoustine en het dessert sprongen eruit, net als de amuses.

Heerlijke gerechten. Een sensatie aan smaken, voortreffelijke service en opgediend met verrassende combinaties van ingrediënten. En dat alles in een prettige ambiance.

Nu twee keer geweest. Het eten is echt fantastisch hoewel de complexiteit van de gerechten niet allemaal even consistent is waardoor het wat wegheeft van een achtbaan. Maar dat doet niet af aan de mooie smaakcombinaties. De 4 sterren zit hem hier in de details van de service. Als ik zulke bedragen betaal mag je schone borden verwachten zonder vette vegen en vingerafdrukken. Ook is de service soms wat chaotisch en straalt geen rust uit. Dit verschilt overigens per bediening, het is dus per ober verschillend hoe de ervaring is. Maar de tweede keer was al stukken beter. Er zit stijgende lijn in dus zeker rede om terug te komen. Bewaar sowieso plekje voor dessert daar ik dit echt ook een hoogtepunt vond van de eerder genoemde achtbaan.

Subliem. Heerlijk eten, verrassend en verfijnd. Bediening betrokken en alert. Heerlijke avond gehad. Complimenten voor witte en zwarte brigade.

Prachtige inrichting, stijlvol. Diner was verrassend en erg smaakvol. Goede bediening en wijnadviezen. Kortom: aanrader.

Mooie borden, mooie smaken, mooie wijnen. Ontspannen, attente, vlotte bediening. Leuke ambiance. Een aantal aanrader dus.

Eten was uitstekend! De chef kok is niet zo flexibel in het meedenken. Veel kan niet!!! Dit is het menu en anders niet. Sfeer het restaurant was nagenoeg leeg, daardoor weinig sfeer, helaas.

Geweldig restaurant & prachtige locatie. Zeer goede bediening en HEERLIJK eten!!!

De gerechten waren erg lekker en de wijn paste er prima bij. De bediening/gastheer/dame paste ons inziens niet bij het concept en was afstandelijk en niet creatief.. ondanks dat hadden we een gezellige avond.
