The food is very good and surprising and also the price-quality ratio. But that music is really too loud, especially with a hearing aid, and saying something about it has no effect. And that's a shame, why does the music always have to be so loud? It is very disturbing, especially if there are few guests

Surprise of the year! I already saw Pachamama on TikTok. More and more restaurants in this form are popping up in the city of Groningen. However, many of these are disappointing. Pachamama is an exception! Nice reception, coats are accepted and you are taken to the table. The restaurant is very atmospheric. The menu is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian if I'm not mistaken. Very beautiful flavor combinations. This menu contained a lot of nutty, deep flavors, alternating with fresh acidity. The menu cost us €52.50 per person, the wine +/- €40. An insane price for the quality. This is highly recommended for anyone who wants something different from French cuisine. Hopefully the restaurant will stay at this location for a long time. It was far from full on a Sunday evening, something they deserve there. The only disadvantage I can mention is the temperature. Because it is a shared dining concept, we had to keep up the pace with the main course. The food then cools down quickly. But hey, the time between courses is perfect in terms of length so this is not an issue for us. Staff were friendly and knew exactly what they were serving. Highly recommended, exciting flavors and amazing price-quality ratio.

Great restaurant! We had a delicious meal several times and it was fantastic again last week. Good service too. Even though it was full, we were still able to get another spot because it was draughty. You really should eat here once!

The atmosphere is great, and the service is ideal. Very attentive and helpful folk. The food is unique and challenging, but it did not taste multidimensional, and my taste buds didn't have the explosion of flavors that it longed for. But truth to be said, it is very possible that the cuisine itself is not one that appeals to me. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

Had a delicious 5 course menu! We chose the meat and fish menu. Enjoyed it immensely. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. All kinds of different dishes are served with unique flavors. We will definitely go here again.

A mixed bag, it is a tasting menu executed with varying degrees of success. There were tasty and surprising dishes, but also things that were just not there, quite dry stew for example or tempura that was not really crispy or warm. We didn't eat anything bad and the staff was great, but it still feels more like a business model than an authentic experience.

Had high expectations. The price also made people think that those expectations would be justified. For a price of 90 euros you have 4 courses with matching wines. These are 4 courses to share each time. The food is nothing special. Most dishes were fairly uninspired or quite simple and dry. I wouldn't recommend this or come back. The atmosphere is nice but the price quality is poor. The staff, on the other hand, was pleasant.

Beautiful new pearl for when you really want to eat delicious food. You choose meat/fish or vegetarian with a matching wine arrangement. And then you can sit down for hours of beautiful dishes from the Nikkei kitchen (Japanese-Peruvian). Surprising new flavors, very balanced and above all very tasty. The wines are explained by a man with a passion for wine and he really knows a lot about it. Service is always friendly, well informed and good timing. An entire evening of delicious food with nice wine for less than 100 euros per person. Recommended!

Ate at Pacha Mama for the first time last month. We were already big fans of Flo so we had good expectations. Delicious food, good drinks and great staff! Because we were eating there on my birthday, I got a nice extra dessert with a candle in it, how thoughtful!

We had the vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing. The starter of different breads and dips was the best course. Absolutely incredible. The rest of the food was pretty good but not exceptional. However, for the cost it was excellent value for money. The whole sitting was four hours long! Service was great too. Would recommend for the cost.

Waste of time and money. Took three hours to get five spoonfuls of food. The only thing Peruvian about the experience were the pisco sours.

Fantastic! A standout place in Groningen, unique plates and plenty of them, we were absolutely stuffed by the end. They do a vegan menu if you ask a few days in advance and it was really incredible. We had 1 vegan, 1 vegetarian and 3 meat eaters and everyone enjoyed their food immensely! Fantastic service too, we will absolutely be back.

We were here for the evening and were expecting a highlight. That didn't quite happen. After "De Kleine Heerlijkheid" and "IMONO" the Pachamama couldn't keep up. What was worth highlighting, however, was the excellent service. The flavor explosions that have been so much described often failed to materialize. For this to happen, the meat had to have been of better quality. The fish, on the other hand, was extremely good. The vegan alternatives were well chosen. The wine selection is excellent. All in all, 8.5 out of 10 stars from us. (complaining at a high level) The Pachamama is definitely recommended. We would come back.

Delicious food, very special and varied. Nice staff and good atmosphere. The only pity is the high chairs, after sitting for 3 hours my legs and back were very painful. If I eat here again I would only do so if I get a low table.

I got to know about this place from my friend. It's a fine dining place and loved their unique concept. The food was really good and I was happy to get vegetarian options. I informed them that I am lactose intolerant, and they made an effort to make dishes for me without lactose. I really appreciate this effort. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice fine dining place in Groningen. Also it's better to be fast before because the quantity of the food is really good. I was full by the time they served the 4th meal. But I definitely recommend it!!!

For an unforgettable evening you can go to Pachamama. To start with, the staff was very friendly. They took the time to help you and had an expert story to tell with each wine/dish. Partly because of this, there was a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. In addition, the food was fantastic. The dishes are beautifully prepared and the flavors all go well together. There are also vegetarian options that sound at least as tasty as the fish/meat options. This is a restaurant where you can sit all evening, enjoying the atmosphere and the food. I will definitely come here again!

I'm not sure I have ever had a dinner this delicious and adventurous. The idea is that you get 6 or 7 courses of small bites, and each of them is a careful combination of flavours you probably never tasted before. All of it was delicious, and it looked delicious too. They have a wine pairing for each course, and there's even an alcohol-free wine pairing. I was in the mood for something else and tried their lemonades, and those are delightful, so I do recommend those. You get infinite tap water, too, which is nice. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the staff are super friendly. They change the menu about once every two months, so I will definitely be back. This is my new favourite restaurant in the city.

The five of us recently had dinner with you. What a great place! Food is really delicious! The dish with eggplant and kumquats is the tastiest thing I have tasted lately!! But I would also definitely recommend everyone to order the scallop supplement, which is also really great. Wines, cocktails and sake are also really great. Fantastic location, atmosphere, food and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the 5-course menu that introduces you to new combinations and flavors and the cocktails are also highly recommended. Last Friday from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the time flew by. Just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and the food. We will definitely come back again!

We had an excellent experience at Pachamama, on the second (!) day they were open. Creative dishes based on Nikkei cuisine (including a heavenly ceviche and, as an absolute standout, amazing whitefish with sambai), beautifully prepared and served. Attentive and knowledgeable service and an attractive interior. With 2 or 3 dishes on the table per course (so you get about 10 small dishes in total!), the price for a menu is really very reasonable. Good wine list and interesting pairings in the package including Sake. Definitely highly recommended! 😍 ***Update2*** Have now tasted several menus. Pachamama is growing more and more. Refined dishes, beautiful wine and food. Definitely even more recommended than in the "early days"!

The food tasted great, but portion sizes were way too small. I'm okay with the small portions you get with fine dining, but in this case it's like you have to share those tiny plates with somebody else. I was still hungry when we left. Moreover, our table was cramped and awkwardly placed.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but overall Pachamama seems definitely to go more for ambience than for the actual representation of the kitchen. Don't get me wrong, I think in general people who love to have a nice evening talking to their friends trying new stuff will like it. But if you are an actual foodie and/or know the kind of cuisine, they make it sound cool, it looks fancy, but it tasted not exactly like it should. It feels more like they made random combinations of textures and palettes from Japan (and other asian countries...which is not Nikkei, mind you. Pecking duck or kimchi? Please..) and Peru than they actually know their stuff? It's lovely to use certain elements, but then at least really go for it when it comes to refining the dish like it should be. Pachamama, if you like me to show you how a real okonomiyaki tastes then let me know, but if you let the cabbage and the actual okonomiyaki sauce out just for money,...it's a shame. Otherwise it could've just been a mix of European things but the chef making it look fancy. Oh by the way if two people that work there don't know the wifi-password, maybe do something about it too, isn't that just the basic stuff?

First time in September and this time was before new years. Love the vibe/interior. Bread/crips and dips lovely. Ceviche and scallop divine. Our favs. Beef not so. Too chewy we left it on the plate (yes we cut it the correct way). Waitress said is was suppose to be like that. Pandan cocktail still on the menu and still taste like I want one more. After I think 2 or 3 courses they don't change your cutlery anymore. I'm just use to something different so I notice these small things.

Great meal, I think it passed for 'second lunch'. Portions were not very large, but very tasty. Spent half the afternoon enjoying Cava and a good cappuccino afterwards. All in all a nice experience and perhaps a place where we will end up again next time.

It is a culinary experience, exquisite flavours, one of the best restaurants In Groningen. It was my first time in a Nikkei restaurant and I loved. First, the service is very friendly and they carefully explain everything to you. The cocktails are delicious, I recommend “paloma”, and pisco sour. You can choose between 5 or 6 rounds and and they also have a vegetarian menu. The atmosphere of the place is super cozy and they have very good music. I definitely give them a 10!! and the restaurant is pet friendly. and that makes it even better! 🫶

Ate here for the second and certainly not the last time. It is very nice that they have a delicious, extensive menu with vegetarian/vegan options that are certainly not inferior to the meat/fish variant. Each dish is a work of art to see and taste. It's also nice that you get a carafe of water that is replenished where necessary. A modern and cozy ambiance and very cordial and attentive service complete it. The prices are fair and actually low for what you get on the menu. You are not here for a quick bite to eat, but for a complete evening out! (tip: parking in the Forum parking garage is only a few steps away)

+ the food portions are smallish but everything is definitely very good. We had a lovely person suggesting us coctails (and all of them were delicious). -the dinner laster around 3 hours. It was way too long. I think there was 1 full hour where we didn't receive any dishes at all. I would love to go again but just can't go through all this waiting. We were so hungry.

Heerlijk gegeten bij pachamama. Wij hadden een 5-gangen menu, alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd door de bediening en was mooi opgediend, het was een ware smaaksensatie! De medewerkers waren ook uiterst vriendelijk. Zo zag iemand dat ik het koud had en ging meteen de kachel wat warmer zetten. Ook vroegen ze aan andere gasten of de muziek niet te luid stond of het eten genoeg was etc. Alles om het iedereen naar wens te maken. Ze hebben ook hele lekkere bijpassende wijnen, zelfgemaakte limonades en cocktails. Het restaurant is mooi en sfeervol ingericht. Echt een aanrader!

Super leuke avond met heerlijke wijnspijscombinaties. Sommige combinaties wat gek, maar ja ze zijn net open. Maar 1 minpuntje. Muziek stond wat hard, maar dit werd ook opgelost. Aanrader!!

Came here for the lovely experience and yes totally worth the experience. Recently having visited Peru, and being an Asian, it’s my moral duty to visit such awesome place. Ambience was amazing, cozy, warm. Beautiful presentation of food. Food here is good conceptual and eventually one will be totally full after having all the dishes. I would say that some dishes could have been better, however they change menu frequently. Didn’t enjoy the desserts though :( It’s decent for fine dining :) no complains regarding conceptual menu

Ik vind Pachamama echt een aanrader. Heerlijk eten, leuk geserveerd en ook nog eens vrolijk personeel wat je bedient. Was ook erg verrast door de originele smaken van de cocktails. Top avond.

Geweldig eten met allerlei bijzondere smaakcombinaties. Super concept. Leuk aangekleed restaurant met erg vriendelijk en kundig personeel. Echt hoogstaand eten met bijpassende wijnen. Het enige minpunt vind ik dat er niets is gedaan met de wensen die aangegeven waren bij de reservering. Ik had aangegeven dat mijn vriendin jarig was en daar zouden ze wat mee doen mailden ze terug, maar ter plaatse was daar niets van te merken. Ook moesten we al onze dieetwensen nog een keer doorgeven, dus er was niets met de opmerkingen gedaan. Het was niet groot genoeg om er een ding van te maken want het personeel werkte hard en het eten was geweldig. Maar het had het wel helemaal afgemaakt als ze daadwerkelijk iets hadden gedaan voor de verjaardag van m'n vriendin.

Enjoyed the tasting menu at the chefs table with a few friends and it was the perfect night out. The service is friendly and attentive without being too intrusive (which can be a difficult balance with a tasting menu). Really good price for all the dishes you get to try and really fresh flavours! Real treat to add to the Groningen food scene.

Goed concept met fantastisch eten

Bijzondere smaken. Erg leuke avond gehad. Als ze weer een nieuw menu hebben komen we ongetwijfeld weer eens terug.

Wauw! Dit was echt een waanzinnige eetervaring. De sfeer, het interieur en de mensen maken dat het bij binnenkomst meteen al heel prettig aanvoelde. We kregen een heerlijk plekje (goede stoelen, fijne tafel) en werden echt fantastisch bediend. Het eten is alsof er een engeltje op je tong piest. We namen het verrassingsmenu waarbij we allerlei heerlijkheden kregen voorgeschoteld (wat een luxe dat we niet zelf hoefden te kiezen!). Superlatieven tekort om te omschrijven hoe lekker het was en vooral ook in combinatie met de goede bediening. Ik was met een vriendin en beide zeiden we: deze staat in de top 3 van onze fijnste eetervaringen! Een groot compliment voor Pachamama.
