Most friendly service we have experienced in Utrecht. Delicious food and drinks, big portions, very fresh and super tasty. Also everything is super clean. Highly recommend. Only make sure you have a reservation during the weekend days, because can be crowded. It’s a true popular hotspot.

Pretty cool place to have a quiet lunch and chat with friends if you choose to go with company. The service was great, and they're really attentive to their guests. My only issue, personally, is that I don’t find the price matches the food or drinks, but that’s just my opinion. I would have liked to see at least more salmon in the sandwich instead of so many vegetables, especially when paying nearly 16 euros. The salmon was of great quality, so that’s a big plus compared to other places I’ve tried. But the generous amount of vegetables and small portion of salmon for the price is the only reason I can’t give a 5-star rating.

We had a delicious halloumi and chicken fillet sandwich, perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and generously topped. Moreover, the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You really feel welcome here. A perfect spot for a delicious and relaxing lunch or breakfast.

Es un sitio muy acogedor, de ambiente tranquilo, dirigido por dos hermanos muy amables. Lo descubrí hace años cuando vivía en Utrecht. Cada vez que regreso a Utrecht de visita,siempre voy a desayunar o hacer un brunch. Los bocadillos son deliciosos y grandes (algo importante para una mediterránea como yo!) y el trato del personal es buenísimo. Muchas gracias por el amor que ponéis en lo que hacéis. Such a cute cafe in the center of utrecht very much worth a visit! coffee is delicious & sandwiches are amazing especially as a vegetarian! I recommend the halloumi one for sure. It is rare to see vegetarian sandwiches which match the quality of the meat alternative. Very friendly and hospitable service, the best in utrecht.

We've been to Pampalini for lunch a few times now. The atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. We both had the beefsteak parmesan, which was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended for lunch or a cup of coffee. (Tip: especially delicious with a warm cinnamon roll.)

Very lovely place and delicious soup with the hint of lime and Eurasian flair. Lovely hosts, very hospitable and warm and made our morning in Utrecht a very happy start to our day trip here from North Holland! A lovely family owned business with delightful food and a lovely selection.

The staff are very friendly. The food may be a bit more expensive, but it's lovingly prepared and incredibly delicious 🙂. Kermit's high standards were met here.

I had the beef salad and it was really delicious. The staff were friendly and polite. The food took a bit longer than expected to arrive, but everything else was nice. I will definitely choose this place again next time.

The sandwiches were very good overall. Too much mayonnaise on the chicken sandwich made it very rich. A small amount of dressing would be good. We were uncomfortable that 3 different staff members asked my friend and I to leave a review. Once is fine but I think you’ll put people off by putting pressure on like that

What a wonderful and cozy lunch spot! We left Amsterdam for Utrecht for the afternoon and headed straight to this lunchroom. Our two sandwiches (not pictured the halloumi) were made beautifully. Each bite was delicious and balanced. The chef was kind and engaging, and the staff were courteous and attentive. Highly recommend this gem in this charming city!

Great food and great service I've been to Pampalini four times now for lunch with friends, and every time it was great. The sandwiches are delicious, generously filled and you really get value for your money. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service friendly. I had previously written in a review that it took a long time for the lunch to arrive. To my surprise, the owner said something about that today — and indeed, within twenty minutes the food was on the table. It was thoughtful of him to remember that. Pampalini is and remains a great place to have lunch.

We came here for a late lunch together, ordered a beef salad and a chicken sandwich, and have rarely been so impressed. Even the preparation (visible from our seat) was done with absolute attention to detail, which was evident afterwards. The portion was perfect, and the coffee tasted like it came from a barista. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this small but exquisite restaurant, Pampalini.

Delightful brunch as we started our day in Utrecht. Located just outside the university this unassuming place is a real gem. Started off with the warm cinnamon croissant bread and enjoyed a ham sandwich garnished perfectly with pesto. Topped off with a double cappuccino and now I'm ready to tackle the rest of the day in the city and climb the Dom Tower. Make time for this place, you'll love it! Edit.. we went back a year later, the owner remembered us and was happy to see us come back. we are thrilled to report that the quality and taste of the food remains at the top of our list for favorite lunch places around the world.. we will be going back several more times this month :)

Just very rude people working there. Definitely not kid friendly, especially if you have a stroller We went to try it because of good reviews but were very disappointed. Moved to a place next door and had the most amazing brunch ever. All in all - very overrated place

Coming here for 8 years. One of the best places in town near the Utrecht university.

I had a bit of a weird experience here, I first walked in and asked if I can use the toilet, the guy said no. I have assured him I am planning to order something (in case it’s for customers only), he then told me to sit down and that they will tell me when the toilet is “ready”. I have sat down as instructed, ordered my food and only then the server said I can go to the toilet. It felt like they don’t trust me to actually order something (?) and it definitely left a weird impression. That being said the food was delicious! And the waitress with short hair was kind and lovely. The sandwich was huge and worth its price (I’d definitely share if you’re not very hungry).

What a great place. The menu is not super extensive but has something for everyone. Price not cheap but this is reflected in a large portion and quality of ingredients, so good in proportion. Service was good, we were served by someone who still had to get used to it but was so friendly and open about it that it improved the atmosphere. In short, we will definitely come back here and it is worth a visit if you are in town.
