Fast, friendly service. Very old bread, falling apart, browned, limp lettuce, lukewarm croquettes. Egg overcooked, dark brown crust. Waste of money.

Pancake restaurant with delicious pancakes and a casual decor. Friendly and young staff. Besides pancakes, they also offer sandwiches and cake. The decor isn't trendy or dated. Quite noisy, especially near the children's corner. Large terrace on the main road. Free parking is available in front and in another parking lot a little further away. The train station and hiking trails are nearby.

The food here is generally fine. Only the staff [except for two people] is incredibly slow and rude. Unfortunately, I had to wait quite a while for my drinks and lunch. The latte tasted awful, so I complained. But when I went to pay, I was told there was nothing wrong with the latte. I would have liked to speak to the manager, but he's only there on weekends, and the waitress told me to make an appointment. I'd say, keep treating customers rudely. Because then you won't see me again.

Lots of different kinds of pancakes. What stood out was that they were also really hot. You often get them lukewarm. They tasted delicious, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was also cozy.

We ate today, but what a disappointment! We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to ask if we wanted a drink. After studying the menu for a while, we placed our order. The service time was fine. We had delicious nachos and good carpaccio! 👍 The special pancakes as a main course were a real disaster! The Mexican pancake had dry kidney beans and even had burnt bits of onion or bell pepper in it! The pulled chicken pancake with BBQ sauce didn't contain pulled chicken, but simply sliced ​​chicken breast. Half the pancake was topped with chicken and the other half with lettuce!? I don't order that, do I? The chicken was completely dried out, but at that moment, no one came to ask if everything was to our liking or if we wanted another drink. After 20 minutes, we finally got someone at our table, and I returned my pancake to the kitchen and had it removed from the bill. Keep it up, and you can close the doors soon! There were also three other tables in the checkout line who were extremely dissatisfied. Not great on what seemed like a relatively quiet evening... Management was nowhere to be seen... I did speak to a woman who was walking behind the bar and to and from the kitchen... she was walking with security and was behaving strangely with a young man who was also working behind the bar... I was talking to an older couple who apparently came here often... But when I wanted to file a complaint, she suddenly didn't work here... We will never come here again anyway, and with me are three other tables/families, so it certainly wasn't our fault.

Yesterday, August 20th, I ate here with my partner after a lovely afternoon in Zeist. The welcome was very friendly, even though we arrived quite late, as the kitchen closes at 8:00 PM. We ordered a pancake with pulled chicken. Neither of us had it before, and it was delicious! We ate inside, and the decor is very cozy. The prices are really fair for what you get. Highly recommended.

Terrible service. 30min to get service, the restaurant was almost empty, doesn't make any sense. Do not waste your time there.

It's a shame that if you want a lycopene-free pancake, you have to pay an extra €2. A carton of lacto-free milk costs less than €2. That's the only downside; otherwise, it's a nice place with affordable prices.

It's on a busier street, but otherwise, it's perfectly fine. We got a heavy rain shower, but the canvas held up perfectly! It was busier inside, but despite that, we received prompt service. The pancakes were delicious! Tip: try the "Pulletje appelgetaart" for dessert... delicious!

It's a cozy restaurant with a lovely terrace, but it's located at the front, right on a busy road. Not exactly relaxing. We sat inside. The pancakes are nicely browned on the outside, but not quite cooked through. Since I often order the dairy-free buckwheat version, I know that's not the problem, as other restaurants manage to make something delicious with it. Quite disappointing, though. The service is friendly, though.

We had to wait an hour for our two pancakes and 25 minutes for our drinks. The reason? It was busy. Well, if a pancake house calls this busy, I worry about it when it's actually busy. Many tables were still unoccupied, and there were four staff members just walking around on the terrace. My pancake was lactose/gluten-free and not tasty, still soggy in the middle. I make better pancakes at home with the gluten-free batter from Appie. My son received the wrong pancake; it was supposed to be fixed within 5 minutes, but it took much longer, so I had already finished mine before his arrived. There wasn't any syrup or powdered sugar on the table, so we had to wait for that too. Even my tea didn't come with a tea bag, so everything about our order was wrong. It happens, but the fact that the quality is so poor and we had to wait so long for two pancakes... I certainly won't be coming back.

Delicious pancakes, but they serve ice cream in 2 shifts, so that half of the ice cream had already melted before the rest got it. We also found it scandalous that if you went to pay by card after receiving the bill, a 10% tip was automatically charged.

Cosy and delicious food at De Princenhof! From the moment we entered, we felt welcome. The girls in the service were very friendly. I had a cheese pancake and it was really delicious. Baked just right, nice and hearty and perfect in taste. The rest of the table was also enthusiastic about their pancakes. We had read a few negative reviews beforehand, but we really didn't notice anything of that. Everything was neat and the service was great. And not unimportant: it was not expensive at all for what we ate and drank. We will definitely come back here again!

3 out of 4 people had a nice meal. I got a burnt pancake. I ate 70% of this and didn't immediately send it back. I shared my disappointment with the staff, but nothing was done about it. Shame! Previous times it was always tasty and not burnt.

We drove in the longest traffic jam yesterday [1,200 km dated 15041962], it was just very busy with many accidents on the road. Normally it takes you 45 minutes to get home, but according to Google Chrome it was still 90 minutes to get home. Leave the road at Zeist and turn right at the first road. Into a parking lot. And then we saw this Pannenkoekhuis (Princenhof). We went in and tried some Pancakes and they were definitely not disappointing! In short: A great stop!

Became a tradition after a nice walk around Driebergen/Zeist: a delicious pancake with a blonde La Trappe. Great location, close to the train station but also enough parking. And nice staff!

Reserved the conservatory for a group. Much too noisy and with the low sun there was insufficient sun protection. Food was reasonable to good. Service was excellent. Parking right at the entrance is nice.

We had a pancake there tonight. We were kindly received. The order was taken correctly and quickly. A pancake with ham, cheese, pineapple and a pancake with bacon, cheese and pineapple. The pancakes were just like a pancake should be. Well filled and completely cooked and not burnt. The baked cheese gave the pancakes a delicious crispy top. Do not be put up in the restaurant, these are converted attic rooms with tables placed in them, absolutely 0 atmosphere. The pancake with cherries and whipped cream was excellent, the cherries clearly came from a can that is then heated in the microwave. The people who work there are not unfriendly and often come by to ask if everything is okay. All in all, you can eat cheaply there and it is perfect for children because there are plenty of play options for them.

Good food and nice staff. The OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND does require maintenance and partly replacement. And I also reported it. I took my daughter off the swing because the entire playhouse was moving extremely. (And all the other guests were watching it too) Both plastic slides are also starting to crack. Staff informed the manager that the outdoor playhouse will be demolished within 2 weeks. I'll drive by in a week or 2 to see if that's correct. But this playground equipment should have simply been put out of action to prevent accidents. There is no "deductible" sign and if something happens due to overdue maintenance, the restaurant is in serious trouble.

The website states that the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. I find it very optimistic. We had someone with a walker in the group and this was quite a challenge. To enter the restaurant you have to go up a fairly steep slope. So help was needed inside to push the walker up and outside to hold it back. With a wheelchair this seems even more difficult. The ramp was just wide enough for the walker. The question is whether every wheelchair fits in there. The toilet was in a very narrow corridor that you could reach with a walker with great difficulty. No disabled toilet seen. The terrace can be reached by stairs, but after asking, it can be reached from outside if they opened a side door for us. Furthermore, the food was excellent and the staff was friendly.
