Restaurant Brocante in Wijk 00 Doorn

A super fun and cozy place. We arrived before the kitchen opened, so we enjoyed a delicious drink first. A tip is to really check the menu on the website, not via Google. We were looking forward to a delicious satay, but unfortunately, it was no longer on the menu. We switched from satay to venison steak with stew, which was truly delicious, but a bit too gourmet for us. 😉 Ordering fries on the side is a good tip.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. It's a shame it's closing under this ownership starting December 22, 2025, and the chefs are leaving.

Delicious burger and a great Dame Blanche for dessert. It's a nice place to stop after a visit to the Tree Museum. The service is excellent and helpful. The restrooms are clean. You can dine inside or outside in a beautifully landscaped garden. The prices are reasonable. Went back again after three months. Another great lunch; 12 o'clock is highly recommended. Only the cheesecake dessert is a bit pricey for what you get. It's great that there's plenty of parking.

We visited again after about six or seven years. The three-course menu (which includes an amuse-bouche and bread with spreads) for €47.50 is very reasonably priced considering the quality. We enjoyed it and noticed that there's now a wide selection of mocktails and non-alcoholic beers and wines in addition to the usual drinks menu. The service is quick and friendly.

We had a decent meal at Broccante. A delicious amuse-bouche with beetroot. The bread rolls and dip were pretty standard. I often miss the homemade bread with character in the Netherlands. My mother had a tuna steak, and I had a gazpacho. The tuna on pasta was very tasty, with some chopped vegetables mixed in. The gazpacho was watery, coarse, and bland. Probably made with Dutch greenhouse tomatoes. The most unusual aspect of our experience, however, was the service. The young servers' inexperience and inappropriate non-verbal communication made it a bit awkward for me personally. I mentioned it, and the response was positive. Perhaps we'll have to do it again.

A cozy and well-maintained restaurant with excellent cuisine and service at a reasonable price. A great venue for groups.

We regularly come here for lunch. They have an extensive menu; we chose the carpaccio. The wines are always fantastic; this time we chose Thierry Drioum's monthly figures. If you have a complaint about the food or drinks, they're always happy to resolve it. We'd love to come back. A full lunch together costs around €80, including a bottle of wine.

A wonderful evening on the spacious and beautiful terrace. Good food and friendly, attentive service. The food was delicious, and the wine of the month stood out: both the Primitivo and the Pouilly Fuisé. Thanks!

Good food, but very "pure." The steak tartare, for example, was barely seasoned. The atmosphere was good, and the service was adequate.

We zaten op een leuke plek. Wat onbegrijpelijk was met dit prachtige weer, is dat je niet kon reserveren, terwijl het terras half bezet was en er binnen niemand zat. Prettige bediening. Maar bij het afrekenen vervelende ervaring met moeder, die chagrijnig, zeer onaardig en ongeduldig reageerde op gesplitst af willen rekenen in bijzijn van klanten en naar haar dochter, die dat allemaal prima zelf oploste. Wij allemaal dachten: hier komen we niet meer terug.

Went for dinner last Saturday night. Surprised with a delicious amuse. We chose the weekly menu, only took a starter from the menu. Tataki and my wife crème brulee of goat cheese, what a good choice this was perfect, I will take this next time too. Service was friendly with the right attention.

Na jaren weer eens bij Brocante gaan eten, ondanks slechte ervaringen in het verleden. Dat was een vergissing. Eerst de positieve kant. Prachtig gelegen terras, prima verzorgde tuin, heerlijk om buiten te zitten. Goede wijnkaart. Stoelen nog steeds te laag tov de tafels. Meisjes van de bediening vlot en attent. Maar dan. Slechts één vegetarisch hoofdgerecht, en omdat daar een minder gewenst ingrediënt inzat overleg met de baas (?) over de mogelijkheden. Kort gezegd: die waren er niet. Of dit, of niets. Dan maar een vegetarisch voorgerecht met friet. Ervaring van een ander lid van het gezelschap was dat dit erg zoet was. Verzoek: kan het dan zonder suiker? Kon niet. Een ander bestelde lamsbout met asperges (€32). Wat kwam er: een bord met dunne plakjes zout vlees met 2 (twee) asperges ernaast. Intussen liep de baas geeuwend rond, maakte niet de indruk zich te bekommeren om de gasten. Jammer. Niet meer naar toe gaan.

Friendly atmosphere, pleasant service

Nice ambiance and easy to reach. Parking behind the business. The restaurant is nicely decorated and we receive a friendly welcome. We were surprised with an amuse-bouche on the house. The rib eye was great also the accompanying vegetable and truffle puree was delicious. The staff responded adequately and friendly to our questions. The Panama cottage was surprisingly delicious.

Been there for lunch. Looks nice, friendly service, but... very expensive for what you get. A small cup of ginger tea costs €4.50! A little bit of boiling water with a few pieces of ginger in it. Ridiculous! Totally out of proportion. A carpaccio sandwich costs 15.50 and is really SMALL. I just felt screwed. I then give my opinion and feedback in all honesty, but nothing has been done with it. Conclusion: way too expensive! If you want to get screwed, go there :)

Dined with a group of 9. Totally fine, several dishes were served neatly at the same time. Tasty, although the smoked ribeye as an appetizer did lack the touch of smoke. Service prompt and friendly. The appetizer of rillette and blini, for lovers. The venison steak, and other dishes were tasty and enjoyed by the company.

Delicious food here. Dishes were really very good. The wait staff is young and therefore a bit inexperienced, but they do their best and that is absolutely fine. Definitely worth repeating for us

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place, the food was out of this world, I've never been to a Michelin star restaurant but this place should be one. Outstanding food, the prices are very reasonable and the biggest thing apart from the food here is the amazing staff. So helpful, so attentive, super friendly and they could not do enough for you, they even took one of our party home to her hotel rather than let her wait for a cab, simply amazing. If you are in the area you HAVE to visit here!

Wanted to eat something on Friday afternoon, November 8, 2024. The lady said "just pick a seat" without actually looking at us. She quickly sat back behind the bar and continued eating. We sit down and receive the card in our hands without saying anything. She walks away and comes back "oh yes, I completely forgot to ask what you want to drink". So we order coffee. We get them and the wine glasses are placed on the table next to them. I found it all very uninteresting. You are the hostess so you have to make contact with your customers. But I don't want to spend my money on this. So I asked for the coffee bill. She just says "okay". You might ask "Aren't you going to stay for dinner?" or something like that. A confirmation that we did the right thing not to eat here after all. Maybe she was having a bad day, we all have, it can happen. But it is my choice to resign. And no, this is not a fake account. We ate outside here in the summer of 2020 and had a good experience. Not this time.

Nice location to have a meal with family, friends or business associates. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are nicely prepared.

So where do I start, the food was way below par. Owner/manager seemed drunk, shouting at his staff! Scandalous, no, we won't be coming back here.

Super mooi bedrijf, erg sfeervol. Super fijn personeel, niet te opdringerig, maar lekker casual. Het eten was Super lekker, presentatie geweldig. En de prijs voor dat lekkere eten, echt super betaalbaar. Als we weer in de buurt zijn gaan we zeker nog eens heen. Echt een aanrader.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Professionele, gezellige bediening. Prijs was erg redelijk. Ze bereken een menu prijs wat wij erg netjes vonden.

Friendly crew, good food, nice terrace when the weather is nice

Food is tasty but the service is extremely disappointing. After sitting for 2 hours there is still no main course in sight, after sitting for 1 hour you are forgotten about drinks and no one cares about you anymore. Drinks are only moderately filled (below the line indicated on the glass). Furthermore, it is clean and tidy.

Great location to eat here with 30 people. Walking dinner was great and very tasty. Attentive and very friendly service.

What a nice, cozy, pleasant and relaxing dining opportunity this is. We have been coming there for a number of years. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Beautiful place on the edge of Driebergen/Doorn. Nice to cycle up and down from Zeist on a beautiful evening. Enjoy Brocante! P.S. an afternoon drink in the garden is also chill!

Beautiful dishes on the menu. Our starter (a goat cheese crème brulee) was particularly tasty. The main course (Plaice) also tasted very good. We work with beautiful fresh ingredients. Dessert (Clafoutis with cherries, served hot) was also magnificent. Therefore 5 stars for the food. Service is friendly and fast. Nice combination of warm, humor and yet correct. Location was also great on the terrace. Tables are not too close together and the adjacent garden is beautiful. In our opinion, 3x 5* is well deserved.

Slechte bediening duurt erg lang ober zit met vingers aan de tanden van de vork eten verder wel goed. Nier voor herhaling vatbaar

What a surprisingly cozy restaurant with extremely friendly (male) service. Nice design with a difference in rooms and heights, making it more attractive. Choice of 2, 3 or 4 course menu. Good price/quality ratio. We will definitely come back if we stay at De Horst estate again.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten met smaakvolle en mooi opgemaakte gerechten. De bediening was heel aardig en gastvrij. Kortom gewoon een aanrader.

Een mooie locatie en het eten was heerlijk. Helaas hebben wij de gastvrijheid gemist. We hadden bij het online reserveren een vis-allergie aangegeven, helaas werden we ontvangen met een amuse van juist dit product. Toen we dit benoemde kregen we enkel een ‘oh ja’ als antwoord en dat was het. Bij het serveren van een ander dan besteld voorgerecht werd door de bediening eerst gevraagd of we echt wel zeker wisten dat we iets anders dan dit besteld hadden. Daarna werd het wel opgelost. Helaas werden we daarna door de bediening steevast genegeerd. Echter eerlijkheid gebied te zeggen het eten is heerlijk en zeker een aanrader!

Heerlijk geluncht in een prettige omgeving. Vriendelijke medewerkers, en bovenal goede smaakvolle gerechten. Het "Black Forest" desert mag voor mij eeuwig op de kaart blijven.

Op een mooie warme avond hier gegeten op het terras. Verrassend leuk restaurant met heerlijk eten en leuke bediening. We hadden carpaccio, sucade steak (zowel sucade als steak op je bord!) en Tiramisu/ Italian coffee. Alles was perfect! Jammer dat we niet in de buurt wonen, anders kwam ik vaker langs ;-)
