They don't answer their phones. They don't deliver on time. The food is tasty, though.

The pizza arrived cold and only arrived 2 hours after ordering. I had ordered garlic sauce on my pizza, but the sauce looked like icing and tasted very bitter, with a bleach aftertaste. I have reported this to the NVWA. The garlic sauce was probably past its expiration date.

Just tried the 2 pizza deal and it was absolutely delicious! The dough is fantastic, and the cinnamon rolls were phenomenal too. Unfortunately, I only remembered to take a photo when I was down to the last bite! 😅 There was only one employee working (he was taking orders and making the pizzas), yet everything turned out amazingly well. He did a great job, although I imagine an extra pair of hands would make things much easier during busy times.

Ridiculously bad. Delivery takes more than 3 hours, very occasionally they answer the phone and when you do, you get to speak to someone who is barely understandable. What a disaster, never order from here.

So, I am adjusting my 5-star review. The food arrived 2 hours after ordering, and the order was incomplete. We called, and then we did receive the rest of the order properly. But the food itself... I find it really, really impressive if you can make a pizza without a crust. Yes, you read that right. There was a crust, but the toppings were just lying on the cardboard 🤮 And this wasn't just one pizza; it was the case with all four of them. In the past, we ordered here very often and never had a complaint. From now on, we will not order from them anymore, and I advise everyone against it.

I think the managements have to speak with workers there , and give them a proper training . Every time i order i have to call to the syore and tell them tovstart cooking as when i arrive for a puck up time pizza is never ready

I placed an order at 15:50; it was initially supposed to be delivered at 16:20. It is now 17:10 and I still haven't received anything; the phone isn't being answered. Subsequently, I received a call at 17:13 from an unsociable employee who answered with "PapaJohns, what is your home number?" after which he said "On my way" and hung up. Jeez guys, you can't run a business like that.

I call 37 times with no answer. The phone was calling up to 5 times and then it was hanged up. When i get physically there, i am being told that there are 5 drivers who are not working but smoking weed? And 2 cooks who are not doing there job although the pizza is done in 15 min? This pizza place is a joke.

With two kids, the youngest of whom is very sick, I thought I would just order something for the oldest so I could sit with the youngest while she has a fever and cries because she can't stand not lying on my arm... instead, I now have to make a call, quickly cook something for the oldest so he can sleep, while the youngest is screaming from a high fever. How convenient! This is the second time I've ordered from Papa John's here and this is the second time this has happened, never again. From now on, I'm always going to Domino's. After having to wait nearly 3 hours for some garlic bread, chicken pops, and pizza bites, our food arrived completely cold. We contacted the place by phone, which was apparently a miracle they answered at all. I was told it would take another 30 minutes. An hour and a half and 6 phone calls later (during which they simply stopped answering), we just gave up. An expensive lesson learned: NEVER ORDER HERE.

It is ridiculous that you have to wait 2.5 hours for your food, during which time it is impossible to contact the establishment. They simply cut you off, the line is put on busy, and when the food finally arrives after 2.5 hours, you get no apologies whatsoever and it isn't even properly warm. Which was to be expected. Save your money and do not order here.

K had ordered a pizza and 2 sides + sauce. The pizza arrived more than an hour late and the sides were nowhere to be seen. After calling 5 or 6 times and being cut off every sentence, we were told that the sides would be delivered later. To this day, we are still waiting???? Long story short; Papa John's is certainly tasty, but definitely not from this branch. If this is your only option, you are better off getting a pizza in Italy itself; I think that would be even faster.

I had a crusted double pepperoni and paid another €2 extra for extra pepperoni, and I only got about 12 scoops on it. So I called to let them know... but I got a kid on the line who just told me, "That's how it's made, ma'am." This is unacceptable; you have to give the customer value for their money. Ridiculous. This actually insane. Order pizza and chicken poppers, and there was two chicken poppers on the box. This is DISGUSTING. Someone from Uber Eats ate my food. Called papa John’s, and they said would call the drivers and get back to me. Nothing. Disgusting, don’t order from here.

Worst experience ever. Ordered at 7 pm and received my pizza at 10 am. They didn't answer my phone, and there was no message regarding the status. The pizza delivery service couldn't even fix this for me. First and last time for me.

The pizza is not cooked, the ingredients are not, as usual, empty and tasteless. Even for the jalapeños popper rolls only undercooked dough. I took a bite to eat because of hunger, and my stomach starts hurting me. Unfortunately, a negative review: I ordered a shawarma pizza last night, and the delivery driver delivered a dry, cold pizza that was inedible. I called right away, but unfortunately, no one answered. It tasted more like a cardboard pizza, due to its cardboard taste and texture, than a shawarma pizza. After calling three times today, I got through to someone, expecting the issue to be resolved by delivering a new, fresh pizza or for me to pick it up. Contrary to my expectations, I was ridiculed on the phone. "SORRY, SIR, I CAN'T HELP YOU. I'M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU." I immediately believe the bad reviews of this company because I've personally experienced the incompetence and amateurism. I also sensed a slight complacency in the employee/manager, and he brushed me off like a child who should just go play outside. To be honest, in a city like The Hague, where the best pizzerias are located, Papa John's Rijswijkseweg is an absolute NO GO. Save yourself a lot of trouble, frustration, and money and avoid this place. I know what Papa John's tastes like in America, and believe me, what I received yesterday was a complete attack on their reputation and a complete fire. Conclusion: Terribly bad pizza and even worse customer service. Stay away!

I ordered a pizza at 9:15 PM and didn't arrive until 11:00 PM. The pizzas were good, but it took way too long. I called at 10:15 PM and they said they'd be there in 15-20 minutes. Then, 30 minutes later, I kept calling and they didn't answer. It was a shame.

But they're impossible to reach. And that's what bothers me the most. That's absolutely unacceptable. In Delft, you get garlic butter with every pizza, and that wasn't available here either. Finally, I was back near Papa John's, so I ordered it right away. The quality was also worse than other franchises. Well, never again! If I hadn't paid upfront, they really should have looked into it. They should have added or offered some extras themselves, because this is absolutely terrible.

After waiting over an hour (7:03 PM) for this order, we decided we'd had enough and called to ask where our food was. They said the order had been received, they were going to make it, and it would be delivered in 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, at 7:51 PM (almost an hour later), the third call was answered. After asking again where the order was, they said, "It's on its way," and then hung up. Absolutely outrageous. Finally, at 8:10 PM, we received the order. We waited over 2 hours for a (small) order, received rude customer service, and didn't even receive the sauce we paid for. DO NOT order from here. NOT recommended. 👎🏻

The pizza was way too late, and it's missing the garlic sauce and pepper. It's exactly what you'd expect from Papa John's. Furthermore, the pizza tastes like nothing. They promise five cheeses, but maybe try two. The Italian sausage is more like a frikandel with Italian herbs.

Even if you manage to safely enter without breaking your neck over the high threshold, and you've deciphered the difficult-to-read menu, unfortunately, there's not much good to be had. The pizzas have minimal toppings: the meat was barely visible on the shawarma pizza. It says you can also eat in, but the tables in the back turned out to be for delivery drivers only. We had to sit on rickety stools, which was far from comfortable. To make matters worse, the pizza sauce was sold out. The only good thing was that we got another sauce cup for free. I wouldn't go back.

DONT GO THERE!!!! couldn’t eat more than half a pizza ,the dough was raw. Inside it was dirty and the toilet didn’t even have toilet paper. Really messy place. If you have the choice , I would advise anybody to starve before going there.

Last night around 10:10 PM, I ordered three pizzas. The order said it would take 30 to 35 minutes. It was midnight and my order hadn't arrived. I tried to contact the pizzeria, but they didn't answer. By 12:20 AM, my order arrived. All three pizzas were cold and of poor quality. Nothing like Papa John's.

Horrible service , the restaurant guys delayed delivery by 2 hours and pizzas arrived cold . And they kept saying it will arrive in 20 minutes . We ordered garden veggie pizza and the toppings were hardly 10 kernels of sweet corn and a quarter of bell pepper cut. Utter waste of money and time .

A staff member answered the phone and said he hadn't even started on my order yet. When I asked how long it would take, he couldn't answer. After waiting an hour, I called again. Again, a staff member helped me, who said the delivery driver was just leaving and that it would take about another 15 minutes. When the order finally arrived, the pizzas were still cold. I find it unacceptable that the delivery was over an hour late, and it's absolutely outrageous that the food was cold as well. This is not the service I expect from you.

I ordered pizzas on Monday evening; the delivery time indicated 30 minutes. At 5:25 PM, I asked at 5:45 PM where the pizzas were. "They were working on them." Ultimately, I had to wait a total of an hour and 45 minutes for two pizzas. When we called about this, a staff member gave us false promises about the delivery time. Finally, the dough was bad, truly subpar. We definitely won't be ordering from here again and wouldn't recommend it to others either.

Unbelievable. I ordered 2 pizzas, 1 with a buffalo swirl and the other without. The restaurant called me in advance to ask if the buffalo swirl should be on the American Hot (as stated on the receipt) or on the sausage pizza. I said that it should be on the American Hot. When I received my pizzas, to my surprise they had put the buffalo swirl on the sausage pizza and only on 1 side on the American Hot pizza??? Probably because he had already put it on the sausage pizza before calling and hoped that this would be enough, since there would still be 1 half without sauce left. Why else would you put the swirl on the correct pizza but only half? I have now tried calling them for an hour but they simply DO NOT answer. Waste of money! I should have listened to the reviews. My partner does not like spicy food so his pizza was nicely ruined and had to order somewhere else. Also the American hot pizza should have been thin and not original... and indeed what many below also say: the standard sauce is not included and neither is the pepper.

I think they recently reopened after being closed for a while. I usually prefer to order from the Rijswijkseweg location, because they always top their pizzas well with peppers and a standard sauce. I really noticed a difference with this order: the toppings were less generous and there were no peppers. I had ordered five extra sauces (which were delivered), but the usual standard sauce per pizza was missing. My 4 cheese pizza looked more like a margherita and the spicy buffalo was very sparsely topped. A real shame, because I am normally a big fan of Papa John's. Hopefully this is temporary, because this was not what I am used to.

We waited over an hour and a half for a pizza delivery. After multiple attempts to get an update, we called the restaurant and were told in an uninterested manner that the delivery would arrive within 10–12 minutes. However, when we called again 15 minutes later, no one answered the phone. Frustrated, we ended up going elsewhere for a very late lunch, and the pizza never arrived. If you’re looking for reliable service, I recommend avoiding this place.

After calling in on the status, I had been told it is on its way. 45 minutes later it still hadn't arrived. When the pizza eventually arrived, the guests had already left. Ordered chicken shawarma with garlic sauce, but what a mockery! Delivery was within 35 minutes, so pretty neat :) But I received a round fluffy thing that was cut into 6 pieces and after taking a bite of 2 pieces, I gave up. No chicken pieces to be seen, it tasted incredibly creamy and with sauce it was even worse. It looked like a tub of melted butter with 'garlic' written on it. I have ordered salami pizzas before and they were fine, but today's order cannot be called food and is a waste of money.

I wanted to express a BIG thank you for the way the staff at this place took care of a mistake.. So I ordered during a busy evening when the place had a "buy 1 get 1 free" promotion on some of their items. I ordered a 1+1 pepperoni pizza and a 1+1 cinnamon bun special with 2 extra sauces. When the order arrived the driver had 1 box of pizza and 2 boxes of cinnamon buns. I asked him about the second pizza and sauces I had ordered and once we had checked we realized that he had never been given the secon pizza or the two extra sauces I ordered. I had already accepted that I will be having one pizza less tonight and that I will simply ask for my money back from Uber Eats (where I had ordered) for the missing items. I turned to go back upstairs to my appartment when the delivery boy promised me that he would soon be back with my missing pizza. I sort of laughed it off and reminded him that it was OK and went upstairs. But not 20 minutes later there was a person at my door with a fresh pizza, apologizing once again for the mistake and long waiting time.. I do not know what else to say, but THANK YOU for the great service! <3

Ordered multiple pizzas via Papa John’s website last week. Paid it already but the website turned to error so they cannot process my order. Then, being asked to ordered once again via another delivery apps. It worked but we needed to pay again. Was promised to get a refund due to the error order. Several days after, haven’t got anything from them. Called multiple times, they said that the manager who handled this was busy. They cannot promise the date when they handle the refund. Really disappointed with how the experience works.

Very bad delivery service and customer service. I ordered a pizza on Uber 3 hours ago and suddenly Papa John's cancelled my order after 3 hours. Meanwhile tried to call them 3-4 times, simply did not answer my calls. It always took longer than normal delivery time, that is not a problem but this one was outrageous. I think there is room for improvement on delivery.

I've tried papa John's in other countries and in every place they'll give you a butter/garlic sauce included in every pizza. For me that was a papá John's added value. In the Netherlands, specially in Den Haag they don't. They decided not to give you one but if you want that added value, you'll have to pay for it. Honestly that was my customer's added value, a signature detail from the brand and unfortunately that won't happen in the NL. Here you pay for that. DI-SA-PPOINT-ING. Order any other pizza, papa John's is no different than other cheaper brands. Others could be even better. The signature extra added value is charged, lame. Fijne avond allemaal. Love you.
