PARCK aka Ping Pong Bar in Overtoomse Sluis

We came for a birthday party, having made a reservation. We arrived and the reservation wasn't there; they said they tried to contact us to cancel because there was a game on. But you didn't know there was a game when you made the reservation, I wonder? So, in the end, we waited until 9:00, after the game, to be seated, but the service wasn't terrible; more than that, unfortunately, I can only give one star, otherwise I'd give it 0. The waiters were nonexistent; when the cakes were delivered (we had brought three), I had to get up three times to remind them to bring them. By the time they brought the cakes, there weren't even plates, cutlery, a knife to cut them, nothing. We had to ask them for the knife. Excuse me, but what kind of job do you normally do? I'm truly shocked by the whole situation. You ruined a birthday party.

One of my go to places to visit whenever I'm in the city. Amazing staff, great selection of beers and the ping pong is a fun activity. Great seating inside and out, look forward to the next time I'm in Amsterdam so I can visit again.

British-inspired pub, perfect for those who appreciate the Anglo-Saxon style. The advantage, compared to English pubs, is the intriguing fusion of Dutch and British culture. In short: good selection of beer but also wines, cocktails and the like. Possibility to eat, especially vegan menus. Frequent open mic nights with live music, improvised by artists, impromptu and emerging.

Just watched a staff member sweeping cigarette butts from PARCK’s patrons into the storm drain and street. This is revolting, especially given they are the reason people are smoking there in the first place. Very disappointing to see such senseless behaviour toward the environment, city and neighborhood in this day and age.

bartender was terribly tactless

Used to be a good spot for eating vegan in the neighborhood, unfortunately they started serving meat which makes me paranoid about eating here not sure if they fry in the same oils and I worry that Ill get served meat by accident. No longer have the confidence to eat here. Of course it is my personal choice to not eat here anymore, but the vegan food is really good for those who don’t mind.

How this fantastic place has gone to the Philistines in just a few months. As a sports fan you have nothing to do here. You get an angry look when you ask if TV is available. Totally a relaxed tent. Especially if the Man U fan/employee is not there. The only one who added allure to the place. Food stays good. Fair's fair. Time for real Irish pub to run this place.

After ordering two beers I asked the bartender for a glass of water. I was told he would prefer if I wanted to buy something. I'll decide that myself. Then my water didn't come either. Very cheeky! Not the first but the last time I come here.

Great cosy little spot with ping pong and other games available-not played myself but could see a great place for groups wanting to add a little extra fun to a regular night out. The vegan junk food served is top notch (I’m not vegan nor vegetarian but was very pleasantly surprised), and the service excellent. They have a wide range of locally brewed and international beers and one of the best poured pints of Guinness in the city. And if watching sports is your thing you won’t go wrong here.

We were a group of 8 and they made us move tables after we had already ordered and start consuming as the table was apparently reserved for a group that usually comes. In the end the table was occupied by two people only. Other than that the service was good and nice ambiance after 9PM.

This is the best little neighborhood bar, very warm atmosphere, excellent service, excellent beers, highly recommended!! We did not sample any of the available foods.

We went to the bar to play table tennis. It was almost empty, only three other guests were present. The barman was very friendly and had a relaxed, humorous manner, which created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the table tennis bats were of poor quality, while the tables were high quality and well maintained. A big negative point, however, was that there was smoking in the restaurant. I find this extremely disrespectful towards other guests who might feel disturbed by it. I find the fact that smoking was tolerated by the restaurant to be particularly inconsiderate and irresponsible these days. An absolute no-go! It's a shame, because otherwise it could have been a really pleasant evening.

Best place ever for vegan food and good drinks. Absolutely amazing service always friendly and accommodating. If you are a sports fan you will love it even more!! ;)

First and last time . The staff was so incredible rufe I’ve never experience something like this . We life across the bar so after some time we wanted to try it out . My friend ordered a beer but it never came so they ordered another one with one of the women behind the bar . When paying they charged us one too much . I mentioned it to her that she forgot it and she completely freaked out and screamed . She used curse words and despite several request from our side to stay calm she continued talking towards us . I don’t understand at all how she freaked out so much since it was completely unreasonable. We also said her that she can keep it as tip but it was impossible to talk to her . Later we met a girl in front of the bar who told us she got kicked out for saying to her that she cannot talk to costumer like that. Definitely won’t come back to that bar . The really is misbehaving so badly . Women with brown hair and a smaller one with brown in late twenties and a smaller women in her thirties. …

Very nice bar, the waitresses are welcoming and concerned about our well-being. The atmosphere is warm and the food tasty. I recommend!

Such a fun place without being over the top. The trivia quiz on Sunday afternoons is a true challenge. Love the different game options.

At one of the Vondelpark exits, we came across this super cozy pub. The menu is vegetarian and I was surprised by the creativity and seasoning of the dishes.

Great place to grab great beer. I did not have any food, but there was a variety of plant based options. There is a ping pong table and foosball table in the back. Service was very fast.

The bar is well designed with 2 ping pong tables, a pinball machines and a sjoelen board that are available to play. The place looks recently renovated as well. When we went there we paid a flat €7.50 rate to play all day which was a nice touch. The bartender was friendly and introduced us to the games they had available. I would recommend this place to go with a group of friends as a pit stop before dinner and avoid the busy streets of central Amsterdam.

Nice place with tasty beers for a good price. The open mic was a nice addition, it was just a shame that football was being watched at the same time, which caused a lot of extra noise and distraction.

Horrible. I had a very bad experience at this place. We were charged completely wrong and when questioning, manager and bartenders were aggressive. Honestly, a nightmare. Not recommended and do not understand the 4.3 on maps.

People behind the counter really weird .. try to be funny when they weren't. They scam our table making us pay 200euro more of bills of things that we didn't even order. Would never ever come back

Nothing like this experience ever happened to me. We went to celebrate an occurrence and we paid 50€ in advance to reserve some space for us: no space was reserved and their answer was "yes, because you are special to us, right?" - no dude, that was just the deal we agreed on. At the end of the night, they wanted to charge us other tables consumption and it did not matter how many times we tried to tell them the bill was completely wrong. One of the waitress was totally unprofessional: she tried to convince us she wanted to help us, but when she realized she was making a fool of herself, she started personally attacking one of my friends (that is not something you do with a costumer, no matter what happened). The male owner was honestly trying to get too close with his body to my female friends for the entire night, and he slammed his hand on the counter several times to scare us when we were trying to get the correct bill. I am leaving out other unprofessional and, for certain extent, improper behaviors. We had to pay what we manage to trade just to leave the place, which was around 100€ more we should have payed based on what we consumed. Stay away from this toxic place!

If you’re into getting overcharged, mistreated by the staff and the owner who slaps the bar to try to assert his dominance this place is for you!

We were treated miserably! As soon as the miscommunication started, their response was to shout. It was very scary to be in that bar that night. I would absolutely not recommend if you're looking for a peaceful evening with friends. Our experience was completely devastating. And no, we did not try to leave without paying or we weren't behaving like "Karens"... they literally added stuff in the bill that WE hadn't ordered nor consumed. But they blamed it on having a "busy night". Reading the reviews and talking with friends, it's not the first time that has happened in this bar...

I've never seen a cafe with table tennis tables and a football table, so that was nice. Too bad that some basic things were not available, namely chocolate milk, and soap and toilet paper in the men's toilet.

I have visited this place multiple times in the past and have always enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and good service. However, my recent experience was quite disappointing. The server we had today was extremely rude when we informed her that we had received the wrong food. She became aggressive and refused to accept responsibility for her mistake. Even if my friend and I somehow both ordered the wrong food, we are still paying customers who spent 46 euros on two durum and two beers. It would have been appropriate for her to show a minimum level of respect and professionalism.

For the 1st time here. The staff is taking really good care of you...and knows the right drink to suit your taste. Music selection is great too.

I've traveled to so many places, from Kiev (or should I say Kiyv, because, you know, we don't like Commies nowadays) to Zakynthos, and from Istanbul to Strassbourg, making pit stops in Helsinki and Berlin. I even went as far as London, Pisa, and Rome, although I haven't been to Rome yet. But trust me, I've seen it all, eaten it all, and heck, I've even breathed kebab! My kebab journey was a wild adventure. It was all about exploring different tastes, smells, colours and stories about how they make that white sauce... Huh, huh, huh. Hot, cold, snow, rain, wind, sun - I had kebab. I became a kebab detective, studying every single ingredient from the top-rated city-center places recommended by teenagers on Yelp to the Turkish dudes across the street. And then - I went to Parck and tried their vegan kebab. Oh my goodness, it was like a culinary masterpiece of the highest order! A mind-boggling wow-no-cow experience! My taste buds went into a state of pure ecstasy! And, yeah, some folks whispered that the wedges didn't quite match the vegan cheese, but let me tell you, bro, that vegan cheese was out of this world! It was the best! And let's not forget about the staff. They were not just ordinary bartenders, my friend. No, no, no. These were like food superheroes, real friends of our tummies, the knights of vegan and the rulers of kebab. I'm definitely going back, and this time, I'll bring even more friends along for this vegan kebab adventure! It's in my all-time top 3. And yes, on a 3rd place.

The vegan burger was simply delicious, and the sweet potato fries were probably the best ones I've ever had. The waiter was also incredibly nice, would love to come back and highly recommend it.

Very cozy vegan bar with a ping pong table. The service was excellent, really felt welcomed. Varied menu with several beers, ciders, cocktails, and snack options. We ordered the mixed platter and it included 4 different options which were very tasty.

Didn’t try the food but the beer selection is good and they packed in a good, fun crowd for the World Cup quarterfinal. Allez Les Bleus!
