If you really love authentic Italian food (and good wines), then this is definitely highly recommended. Don't expect pizzas or simple pastas, but refined food made with fresh ingredients. This is a real night out. It is located in a residential area, so parking is easier than in the city center. We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere and decor are beautiful, but unfortunately, the food and service were not quite up to the standard we are used to from other restaurants in Nijmegen. It is a shame, because the setting is really beautiful. Therefore, I doubt we will return here again.

Pricey, but definitely worth the money.

You can eat excellently here if you love Italian food. The menu is limited, but flavorful. The wine recommendations are sensible. So, you can enjoy excellent food and drinks here. Reserve in advance! Even in 2026, you can still come here for a tasty meal. They have not compromised on quality.

A soft, well-kept atmosphere. To my taste, there are too many plants and plastic furnishings. The service was attentive and professional. The lady who served us was truly attentive and kind. The dishes were delicious and carefully prepared, with appropriate portions. They left a feeling of fullness without being heavy, and the taste was delicious. I would gladly return. The quality/price ratio was perhaps a bit high. But in Holland, I think it's acceptable.

Delicious food! But I couldn't get a friendly word or smile from the host and hostess. I did get one from the, as you'd expect, familiar customers... for those prices, you expect more.

We really enjoyed ourselves here. Every dish was a feast. I kept taking smaller bites of the tortino with porcini mushrooms, potato, and Parmesan because I found it too delicious to finish. I had never eaten such a tasty and tender venison loin as here. And then the dessert: that cassata, a sweet tartlet with ricotta, pistachios, marzipan, and more, was an explosion of different yet perfectly harmonizing flavors with every bite. The food for the entire restaurant was prepared on the spot by a single chef. What craftsmanship. Restaurants that still dare to serve mass-produced desserts with multiple chefs in the kitchen should come take a lesson at Pasta e Fagioli. And they should bring their waitstaff along, by the way, because the entire restaurant was served perfectly by a single person: the owner.

Pasta e Fagioli has been the best authentic Italian restaurant for us for years 😋. We have now moved to 's-Hertogenbosch, but still go to Nijmegen to enjoy Annamarie e Nino 😘 The dishes are TOP 👌🏻 Take your time to quietly enjoy a pleasant evening and delicious dishes and beautiful wines 🥂🍷

Beautifully decorated if you're a vtwonen fan. Delicious wine and appetizers. The main course (pasta with salsiccia) was nothing special. The service and kitchen were unfamiliar with the garnish (pea shoots) served on all the dishes.

To round off our wonderful holiday in Italy, we had dinner here. In a word, AMAZING! Delicious pasta, a fantastic main course, and beautifully chosen wines. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.

We ate here again yesterday, and as always, it was delicious. Italian food at its finest. The two owners create a lovely atmosphere, whether inside or out. I've been coming here at least annually for the past 12 years, and it's consistently excellent. Or, it's certainly not average, because they work hard, but always with a smile. Highly recommended!

Delicious food! The pastas were 👌🏻 and the amount was just right! Not too much and not too little. As a main course we had Fried venison fillet with cranberry and tournedos with mushrooms and parsnip. Absolutely fantastic! All in all a nice evening with the friendly staff

It has been a while since I had the opportunity to eat here, but you have once again lived up to your reputation! Had a fantastic evening!

We knew this restaurant from the Van Welderenstraat in the city centre, at the time we were positive. In terms of entourage it is now cosier with more of a living room feeling. Chef and hostess are a well-oiled machine, very well attuned to each other. My wife had fish twice (sea bass fillet and halibut), I had game twice: Red-legged partridge from the oven stuffed with veal and truffle and as a main course the venison back fillet. We both enjoyed our dishes and the wine served with each course was also very well chosen. For us again positively surprised, highly recommended!

Real Italian dishes with sophisticated taste sensations and perfectly matched wines. Real food like you do in Italy with delicious home-made pasta. Great service with a lot of knowledge. They really take the time for you. And if you like grappa, you've come to the right place: impressive grappa varieties! We definitely recommend this restaurant and we would love to come back again!

Pasta e Fagioli is located in a suburb of Nijmegen. We had imagined a lot of it and were looking forward to a typical Italian evening out for dinner (no pizza or pasta), but with a special luxurious touch to end our last evening of our annual friends weekend, this time in Nijmegen. We were able to sit outside, but unfortunately there was only 1 bottle of the rosé we wanted to order... so we chose a Pinot Grigio and it tasted perfect with the beautifully presented delicious painting food. My friend had chosen a starter as a main course, so expected a larger portion for that price, unfortunately it was very meager, but tasty. We wanted a lemon tart for dessert, but it was gone...! We were hoping for a Limoncello as a treat to end the evening, but our men ordered and paid for it themselves. In short: the food was tasty (too limited for 1 person), favorites were not in stock, the plates were beautifully presented, the service was very neat and formal and we missed Italian goings on and Italian music in the background. Quite expensive too. The toilet was very nice. So super suitable for other people who like peace and quiet, but not for us.

We were expecting something really good looking at all these reviews and this pricepoint! We were really looking forward to this. However, service was really bad.. the hostess didn’t look at us, didn’t listen, took too long to come to the table, didn’t ask whether everything was fine. The first course was also served while we were still enjoying our aperitif. Second course was also served before the wine. Besides that, food was quite basic & simple and nothing special at all… We will not come back.

Uitstekend bereidde maaltijden, een ervaren, correcte en vriendelijke bediening. Huiselijke en gastvrije ambiance.

Gisteravond hier een heerlijke avond gehad. Als je van de echte Italiaanse keuken houdt ben je hier op het juiste adres ! Alles home made met verse producten, prijs/kwaliteit ook dik in orde. Een aanrader dus !

Beste Italiaanse restaurant in regio Nijmegen

laat ik eerst vermelden dat ik heerlijk gegeten heb. Prima keuken en authentiek. Maar in dit restaurant zijn er gasten en vaste gasten. De behandeling van beide groepen is totaal verschillend en niet prettig. Vragen worden niet beantwoord, kaart klopt niet met de kaart op internet etc. Als je hier vaste klant bent zul je best een hele leuke avond kunnen hebben maar wij komen hier niet meer. Diepe teleurstelling.

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Geweldige locatie. Vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen hier zeker terug.

Eten 12/10, echt lekker en puur genieten. Annamarie en Nino hebben ons hartelijk ontvangen en geweldig geholpen. Het restaurant heeft een chic en tegelijkertijd huiselijke uitstraling. Voorzieningen waren ook netjes en schoon. Terras zag er ook gezellig uit!

Good food for moderate price. The location is very cosy and you won't notice it when you walk past. The spacious backroom with overhanging trees and sky windows are a great place to sit.

Wij zijn erg fan van de Italiaanse keuken maar hadden beiden nog nooit zo'n lekkere pasta gegeten! Echt heerlijk, aanrader.

Oh die pasta,s verrukkelijk. Beste vitello in town. Wijnkaart voortreffelijk. En mooie zaak. Fantastisch hoe ze dit samen alweer zolang doen en de kwaliteit hoog houden. Voor de echte kenner een paradijs.
