Patisserie Kuyt in Grachtengordel-Zuid

I wasn't impressed with the apple pie. There were so many hard core pieces (which you can't chew and therefore have to swallow or spit out) that I didn't enjoy eating it much. Poor quality, a shame.

After being a customer of Patisserie Kuyt for over 30 years, my last experience deeply shocked me. When placing a simple order over the phone, I was treated extremely rudely, as if I were a burden rather than a customer. I also received incorrect information about the products, which led to frustration and misunderstandings. During the holiday season, it turned out there wasn't a baker available at all. As a customer, I feel like their staff shortages were mainly taken out on me; impatient reactions and an unfriendly attitude seem to have become standard practice. What makes it even more poignant is that there are plenty of alternatives nearby that do have their businesses in order and where customer service still exists. Patisserie Kuyt would do well to take a significant step back and reflect on their service, because this is definitely not a level of service that customers will return for.

A good patisserie for savoury and sweet treats.

Always get my apple schnitt here, good quality.. I'm surprised it has become very expensive in a short time and the presentation is very poor. It comes in a box that can also come from Lidl or Jumbo. No Kuyt's name on the cake and in a brown paper bag without a name, so it doesn't look like giving away.. seems like a small effort to do something about this.

They sell delicious apple schnitzel at Kuyt's; I love to treat my guests to it. However, I am VERY dissatisfied with Kuyt's complaint handling. I filed a complaint about an apple schnitzel with edges that were too dark (almost bandaged), and they haven't responded at all: no answer, no apology, no refund, no voucher. They're just around the corner, but with this kind of customer service, I'll walk a bit further from now on because I'm sure there's a fellow pastry shop that also makes delicious apple pie.

Be careful of their delivery driver. A aggressive female who said she “owned” the company was driving whilst on her phone and knocked straight into me whilst I was in the cycling lane. It was so dangerous and instead of apologising she proceeded to shout at me and actually drove towards me! How am I to blame because she nearly caused an accident by using her phone whilst driving, at least you could have stopped and apologised.

Excellent pastries of high standard. Delicious flavors and fresh. Good service, very friendly and also gave advice for a place where we could drink coffee.

Kuyt, bekend in de horeca van zijn heerlijke appeltaart. Nu ook in de winkel geweest en heerlijke zoetigheden gekocht. Mooi assortiment.

The pastries here are outstanding, take it from a frenchman who loves sampling pastries. I have had multiple cakes there and they were very very qualitative. The whole place is very high end and you can tell this place takes its job very seriously, its not a cute casual chaotic endeavor. The layout of the shop is somewhat confusing as it is very long and the more intricate pastries are at the front but there’s more at the very back also? I never ate anything in there as there never seemed to be an actual seating room. Maybe that was pre covid? Anyways i recommend this, it is hands down one fo the best high end pastry shops in this city.

Incredibly delicious! We tasted everything and could hardly decide which pastry was the tastiest. But personally, the apple pie convinced me the most. Thank you for the friendly advice and the great taste.

Patisserie Kuyt is my favorite bakery /cake shop in Amsterdam. They have a nice choice of awesome cakes. Excellent. The team is also very professional. They accept credit cards, but not the American Express.

5 sterren! De appelschnit was overheerlijk. Het is zeker de moeite waard om alleen hiervoor langs te gaan.

I never liked chocolate cake, but when I tried theirs chocolate cake I became obsessed with it. It is a quality patisserie and their productions are food of joy

Let op, veel van de prijzen die zijn aangegeven zijn per ons, als je dan afrekend en een verpakking blijkt 2 of 3 ons te zijn, dan is het ineens écht heel duur. Wel super lekker, dat moet ik toegeven, maar 8 euro voor een pak koekjes doe ik niet snel opnieuw

Amsterdam's best patisserie, hands down.. Cakes , savories and chocolates of the highest order, just love the chocolate cream truffles. Yum!

Top kwaliteit en vriendelijke service

The staff is unfriendly . I bought a pecan pie which was excessively sweet . The bakery looks very nice but I am afraid the products are not as good as they look like .

Nice location. Have tried macaroon only but they are mostly sweet while flavor is not outstanding enough
