A complaint at the front desk wasn't handled well, but submitting a complaint through a review provided a solution. It's a comfortable place, and the location is what you come for. I go several times a month. The food tastes great. The prices are a bit steep, though.

It's wonderful, I highly recommend it.

A location with a beautiful view of the Posbank. I ordered a chai latte, which arrived quickly. A full glass with a brown layer at the bottom and only foam/milk remaining. Less than two minutes later, all the white had completely disappeared, and the glass was only half full. The latte also turned out to be still warm after taking one sip. When I asked for a new one, I received the same glass back, microwaved. The taste was good, though. And all for a pricey €4.25! Brown bread with two spicy cheese croquettes and a small, not-so-fresh garnish was delicious. But also very expensive. Let's just say you pay for the view.

You can enjoy a delicious meal here or just a drink and a piece of cake when you return from or start a fantastic walk!

A restaurant in the middle of a nature reserve, with a beautiful location and views of the dunes and rolling hills. It was nice to sit together for a break. I had to order and pay via an app, which I found a bit awkward. I understand it's the easiest option for them, but I don't want to be on my phone. I ordered tea and pastries and paid via the app. I was later told that the pastries I wanted were out of stock. Such a shame, as there were plenty of other options, but I didn't want them. We only had tea. The woman who helped us was friendly. I also got my money back immediately.

Beautiful pavilion in a beautiful location👌. We were sitting at the regulars' table and noticed that ordering and paying was confusing. You couldn't order from some of the waitstaff. You had to ask a colleague. It sometimes took a while to reach them. So we just paid immediately upon receiving our order.

A great place to stop during a bike ride. As soon as you step inside, you're immediately greeted by the smell of frying. The kitchen is on the ground floor and is semi-open, allowing the smell of fries to permeate the entire space. Next to the kitchen and restrooms on the ground floor is a cycling inner tube dispenser—great service! We ordered a Chai Latte and a Latte Machiato, and both had a lot of milk and very little chai or coffee, but they were nice and warm with a delicious Sinterklaas speculaas biscuit.

A great place to start your walk. Definitely a great place to have cake or lunch, especially afterward. Great atmosphere!

Great location, food kind of basic, small portions and expensive, waiter mistook my order and had to wait quite long and got a half eaten cookie from someone else.

The Posbank Pavilion is situated in the hilly forest and heathland that is part of the Veluwezoom National Park in the municipality of Rheden. At the viewing point near the pavilion, there is a monument in the form of a stone bench commemorating Mr. Pos's 25th anniversary with the ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club), from which the pavilion's name derives. This beautiful part of the Netherlands boasts an extensive network of hiking and cycling routes, trails, mountain bike paths, and bridle paths. There is ample free parking and clean restrooms. Friendly service and a delicious lunch at a reasonable price.

Yesterday I ate two sandwiches (brown) with croquettes, and the price-quality ratio is absolutely terrible. Two simple brown sandwiches and two simple croquettes (not even one from Dobbe or Kwekkeboom), a little salad, and far too little mustard. It's not even a quality croquette or a homemade one, and then I pay almost 13 euros for it? I really don't mind paying too much for something, which seems to be standard these days, but the quality should be reasonable. I think I bought it for barely €2.00, and even then I'm probably still overpaying.

Our second stop during the walk was at Paviljoen de Posbank, and it was wonderful here too. The pavilion is situated in one of the most beautiful spots in the Veluwezoom region, on a hilltop with stunning views over the heathland and rolling countryside. The location alone makes it worth a visit! It's a cozy and modern venue with a spacious terrace where you can enjoy a snack or drink either indoors or outdoors. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting—perfect for unwinding after a brisk walk. The menu is extensive and varied, with a choice of both savory dishes and something delicious to go with coffee. Everything is well-prepared, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Thanks to the magnificent panorama and the pleasant ambiance, this is truly a place where you'll want to linger.

Have a cup of coffee here, it's a great spot, but don't order anything special with it. A high price for nothing special...

We've been eating and drinking here regularly over the past few years, but the service has been terrible lately. When it's busy, you have to ask at the bar to take your order, only to be promised someone will be there, but you can still wait a long time. Today, however, took the cake. We arrived an hour before closing time, which is a bit late, but you'd think it shouldn't be a problem to get something to eat and drink. First, there were QR codes on the table that didn't work (after asking, it was apparently due to the crowd). We asked two staff members (one of whom was also serving food) if we could order, but that wasn't possible and they had to send "another colleague." When that staff member finally arrived (15 minutes later, 45 minutes before closing time), we were simply told that the kitchen was closed and that we could only order drinks or pastries. Surely the other staff could have told us the same thing. Why isn't this written anywhere on a sign, and why do they even leave QR order codes and menus (with dishes) on the tables? We left disappointed, and they won't be seeing us again anytime soon.

Beautiful surroundings and facilities, impressive scenery, and views over the rolling landscape. From the lookout point, you can truly enjoy the panoramic views, and it's very bike-friendly, with even tools and a bike pump available. See photo. Cell phone reception is very poor, so QR ordering via KPN wasn't possible in our case, nor was mobile payment. Good to know. Ordering options for gluten-free food are limited, and this was prone to errors in our case.

One of the best spot in the Veluwe for a coffe or a quick bite....excellent view

I've had lunch there several times now during a beautiful walk, and each time, I've had delicious, fresh sandwiches and tasty drinks, including smoothies. The waitresses are very friendly. It's a great restaurant.

We stopped in after a long walk. It was a pleasure to try the delicious honey cake and coffee. The pastries are simply wonderful! Thank you for the fast and friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

A good place to stop on your walks in valuwe. However some what understaffed and food not really good. Had dirty chai and cheese cake and both seem bit off . Took them a long time to serve . Not worth the money at all.

This is so bad it's practically slapstick. It starts with the outdoor bar, which is unmanned half the time. Then you go inside, but it turns out you're not allowed to order anything at the bar. You go outside to the terrace, and there's only service in the closest part of the place. Then, in the serviced area, you essentially have to order with a QR code, which is quite tricky because there's almost no mobile phone reception in this area. I understand the staff shortage, but I think the limited staff could be deployed much more efficiently (by simply converting it to a self-service concept, for example; I think that would make everyone happier: just order at the bar and pick it up when the pager goes off, something like that. Anything is better than this chaos and just hoping you're allowed/able to order). They're certainly sitting on a goldmine here on the weekends, but at the same time, I don't think they're particularly interested in making money.

Just had coffee in an atmospheric and beautiful location.

Just landed for lunch. It was fine. As it got busier, the stress increased a bit, but the staff remained friendly.

Today we asked for a table to be cleaned, but the response was first a simple "no" and then "I'll ask my colleague." That came across as very rude and unprofessional. As a guest, you expect a table to be cleaned without any discussion. It's a shame, as this didn't leave a good impression of the service. We reported this to another colleague, but I don't know to what extent it was reported. Nice location, but we won't be returning for another visit.

5km in this beautiful area is different from 5km which is just flat, very beautiful but more difficult to walk, a little longer than the time indicated on the signs

It was busy that day, but that wasn't a problem. We sat at a table outside. The service was excellent, and the fried snack was delicious.

It's a shame that the organizers of Happen en Stap (Happen and Walking) indicated that gluten-free, dairy-free, and no tomatoes were no problem, and then basically nothing was possible. In the end, we still got a delicious grilled vegetable salad.

It takes very long time to order and get the food. We waited 1 hour to get the food finally served.

A beautiful spot to enjoy a delicious caramel iced coffee. However, if you're sitting on the outer edge, it's dangerous to step back due to the low, iron barriers. Due to a potential damage claim, I recommend raising this to a meter or more as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I can't post a photo of this.

Just had a few drinks on the terrace. The atmosphere is a bit lacking, but the staff makes up for it somewhat.

I visited this pavilion while walking on Sunday. It was packed outside. We went inside. Half the restaurant was closed, with reserved signs. When I asked when the reservations had been open since, I was told it was "all day." Inquiries revealed that due to a staff shortage, half the restaurant was closed. That can happen, of course; ordering is only done with a QR code, and I mainly saw the waitstaff walking around with two or three glasses on a tray. With a bit more efficiency, you could do much more with the same staff. But hey, that's a choice. There was an open bar outside, and we asked a friendly guy if we could order a drink there. Since they were plastic bottles, we could use them outside the terrace. The guy said, "No problem." We ordered, and while we were paying, a waitress came and said to the guy, "They're not supposed to all stand here and order." I told the waitress, "I'm right next to you :)." If you don't want people ordering at the outdoor bar (which has a card terminal), you should close it. The guy who helped us was visibly uncomfortable. We paid €23.80 for two bottles of water, two iced peach teas, one Pepsi Max, and one tonic. According to the menu, that should have been €21.10. We didn't want to make the young man who helped us, who was snapped at by his manager in front of the guests, feel even more uncomfortable, but we also paid €2.70 too much. A restaurant that treats its staff this way, especially in public, simply doesn't get it.

An oasis in the middle of the Posbank. The terrace was packed, but it's also pleasant to relax inside.

A pleasant place to grab a bite to eat or drink. The restrooms are also convenient. Cyclists are also welcome, as you can get your bike repaired there.

We ordered our food via app. An error occurred at the end of the ordering process. When we asked the staff, they said it would be okay if the payment had been made. A look at the bank account showed a debit of 37 euros. After 1.5 hours, we still hadn't received our order. When we asked, the order hadn't been received at all. We were told to reorder and "pay again." There have been problems with foreign banks before. But I objected, as the money had already been debited from my account. The service staff were so rude; instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, they constantly talked us down. We didn't get our money back until 10 days later, after receiving a reminder via email. I can't comment on the food, since we didn't get any.

Ordering via QR code works very poorly, with almost no reception. Finally, I was able to order via Wi-Fi. Very impersonal. The older woman serving was absolutely unwelcoming/unfriendly and almost threw the coffee and cake on the table. When I pointed out that the coffee I had ordered didn't come with coffee creamer, she walked away without a word and shortly after threw two packets of powdered milk on the table. For €3.85 per cup of coffee, you'd expect a cup of coffee creamer. The apple pie was delicious, but 85 cents for the tiny dollop of whipped cream was absolutely outrageous. A beautiful location, but next time we'll go elsewhere for coffee or lunch.

Sitting here in the sunshine, it's lovely. It's busy and the wait is long, but so be it. The staff stays relaxed.

Waited 25 minutes for fries, which then turned out cold. We also received pastries without cutlery. Paid for sauce, got the wrong one, and I immediately reported it. After 5 minutes, they kept saying "it's coming," but no one came. Meanwhile, the fries went from cold to ice cold. If you want a quick bite before or after a walk, I wouldn't go here because it's a complete waste of time.

Lovely place now that the heath is so beautiful

Not a high-end menu, mind you. But sufficient for a quick and tasty bite or snack. There's little atmosphere, but after a long walk through the beautiful heathland, it's a pleasant place to relax.

Terrible ordering systems. Once the order is placed, you can't cancel it. We had to wait a very long time. A 50-minute wait for 4 fries, which didn't coincide with the drinks. We'll never come back! The fries weren't even tasty!

Nice place, too bad the road is closed and you have to walk 30 minutes to get there

Had lunch here yesterday. It was incredibly hot, so it was nice to be able to sit in the shade. We had a wonderful meal with incredibly cheerful and approachable staff. A lovely spot in the heart of nature at the intersection of cycling routes and the mountain bike trail. With a bit of luck, you'll find some large grazing animals just around the corner.

Beautiful place, but unfortunately, that's all there is to it. Six staff for the two terraces, but ordering "you have to do via the QR code." In any normal restaurant, such a terrace could easily be staffed with five people, but oh well. After ordering, they told us the wait would be half an hour... okay. Then we waited over an hour for the food, which was still lukewarm. To top it all off, even though we had ordered lunch, drinks, etc. for five people, they refused to offer a glass of water. "Company policy" was given as the reason, which the staff clearly didn't agree with either. Also, due to allergens, it was impossible to eat here. While most modern restaurants can always accommodate the dietary needs of one of our guests, this was anything but. Gluten-free bread was available, but surprisingly, it contained milk. Furthermore, there was no indication of whether the soup was suitable (?), and a simple salad was not an option. Recommend coming back just for drinks.

Cappuccino besteld en toen even naar toilet. Op de toiletdeur een biljet: VERWENMOMENT! Gratis Americancookie bij warme drank. Kom ik weer bij onze tafel staan de cappuccino's er, maar zonder cookie. De Cappuccino was niet te drinken, bijna alleen maar melk. Bah! Half glas laten staan. Aan de bediende gevraagd waarom er geen cookie bij zat: die moesten we dan wel bestellen. (ok, dan moet je eerst naar de wc om daar kennis van te hebben) Zeer slecht bedrijf.

Today my husband and I went for a walk at the Postbank and afterwards we went for a drink at 't Paveljoen. Friendly employees! They actually deserve 5 stars, but I give a low score ... You can place an order via the table via a QR code. My husband got a 0.0 wieser beer instead of a normal one. I indicated that and they took the beer back and then my husband got a new one. He poured the beer and he said in surprise; I have the wrong beer again!? Then that friendly boy came back and we indicated it again. He brought the new beer and said that we would get the other beer on the house, for the inconvenience. It was certainly an inconvenience, because we have already been there for 30 minutes, but it can happen of course! So well solved by the super friendly boy!! The poor boy came back later ... Or could we still pay for the beer, because his manager did not agree. What a surprise and how incredibly uncomfortable to saddle your employee with this! If you are a really good manager you could have said; I understand that the situation was like that, but next time just take the beer back or let the customer pay. For now we'll leave it like this. I really felt sorry for that guy. If I also find out that he lost his job because of this, I will adjust this review and add it. Super good employee, he knows what customer friendly is. Besides us, something also went wrong and that could have gone differently. And that was also feedback from the manager. I would say; find another manager who does understand hospitality. We will definitely pass this on to our parents who like to go to the postbank and they will definitely tell all their cycling friends who also like to go there. Thanks! We left with a bad feeling. Everyone on the terrace could enjoy it and 2 other tables said that they will not come here anymore. And that they really had not paid for that beer (which we did). Normally I would not want to write a review about this, but I think the manager should choose a profession where he does not serve guests.

Bad service!. Overpriced disgusting cappuccino. Grumpy staff made my order wrong and refused to correct it. Not recommended if you come here for good service. I am an expert when it comes to visiting restaurants and this place is not recommended

Sat outside after a nice walk. Nice place to rest and have something nice to eat or drink.

We walk past the advertising signs that said a 12 o'clock snack for 12.50. We sit down and order the 12 o'clock snack. They don't ask which one, only which soup we wanted. When paying, they charge 15.95. After we paid, they found out that there were 3 types on the menu. The argument that we hadn't even looked at the menu, so how would we know. So it was our bad luck. So be careful when ordering.

Beautiful nature reserve, beautiful location, what a beautiful high hilly landscape this is. Lovely sitting outside. Ordered a cup of mint tea was delicious, together with the bread board and fried mix. How tasty and well filled they were. They close at 5:00 PM, we were quite late, just after 4:30 PM, but still nicely helped and after closing time you can just stay seated and enjoy your order and the view.

Great location and assortment, no choice of bread type though as far as I can tell. Which was disappointing. You can order via web app by scanning a QR code, which is convenient. Friendly staff.

Had a lovely walk and enjoyed the view there

I was walking with an acquaintance across the POS bank, we fancied a cup of coffee. Upon entering there was a sign suggesting that for €5 you can have a cappuccino with apple pie and whipped cream. I say to the clerk, just make me the offer. Offer she says? I say: I like cappuccino with a slice of apple pie. To which she said: you read that wrong, it is cappuccino with apple pie syrup and whipped cream. We said that we found that very unclear and she said that she had heard that before. We said: change it then! Plenty of people must have drowned! We didn't and ordered a cappuccino. Expensive milk for €4.10 because the coffee flavor was hard to find. The following week I was cycling and passed by, what did I see upon entering? Indeed the sign, unchanged! This smells a bit like cheating.

There were 4 staff members walking around. Just chatting with each other. It wasn't busy but we waited for over half an hour to order something. We'll be right there! But no one came. In the end we just left. Bye

A bottle of spa for €4.40. But was helped in a friendly way. Well, better to buy expensive than not to get. Unfortunately I didn't have a bottle with me, otherwise I could have gotten free water from the tap there...that's how it is.

Strong smell of old frying oil throughout the building. The food is not tasty, a mini portion of limp, not tasty fries, a thimbleful of mayonnaise and a chicken burger that we both doubted whether we would eat. And why have the glasses become much smaller here and the prices have gone up? It's just not worth the money anymore. How much does a little extra milk in a Latte Macchiato cost? Staff is friendly, and of course a beautiful view.

Friendly, cozy and hospitable, everything was great except for the mess in my glass of orange juice. Reported this and received the same mess in new glass. Reported this again and was told that pieces belong in the orange. I thought this was scandalous, I won't go here again.

Had lunch here yesterday on a sunny day. The two terraces were packed. The food took an hour to arrive, but this was communicated. Taste wise it was fine, nothing special. The croquettes contain a lot of flour and little meat, which is a shame. The soup of the moment was pumpkin soup. And that in May!! Thought it was witty, but for example an asparagus soup would have been a bit more appropriate. Despite the crowds, the service kept a cool head and remained friendly! In short, there was no quick bite on this day, but otherwise it was fine.

Nice building and kind staff but food wasn’t worth the money. We took the loaded fries for 14€ and the portion was small and really underwhelming in flavor. And it took quite long to arrive.

The pavilion is located in a beautiful area in the middle of nature. Very busy on sunny days. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for a few croquette sandwiches and a sandwich. That wasn't very nice. What was especially annoying was that the service was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we politely asked if they had not forgotten us, we were told that it was simply busy. This was also the case with a question about the app for ordering. Unfortunately, we had already paid when ordering via the app, otherwise we would have left. .

Sad. Order with a QR code and pay immediately before you have anything on your table. Three tables asked if the parasols could be opened, oh well, that would have to be discussed. And of course nothing happened. This place is run for the management/staff and not for the high paying guests. I'd say bring your own sandwich or go somewhere else.

Cozy spot when you are walking on the Posbank. We ordered a coffee. This one was mediocre. The cake was very tasty, by the way. We also like good coffee. If a regular cup of coffee is sufficient, there is nothing wrong with this. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere with beautiful views on all sides (windows). Definitely recommended if you want a break during the walk.

Just had a nice drink. It was a pity that the WiFi did not work well and you could not send the order. There were people walking around, but the wait was long.

Have a quick coffee while we are at the post office. It is a special building that appeals to me because it has an interesting architecture in which modern builders are combined with natural elements such as tree trunks. The prices are quite high, no further comments here. Ordering with the QR code works well, but I prefer personal service.
