We were here today. Our drinks order was taken quickly, but after that, no one really paid any attention to us. We tried several times to get the staff's attention to order food, but no one responded. Eventually, we approached someone ourselves and placed our order. After about 30 minutes, we asked where the food was. It turned out that our order hadn't been noted down at all. In the end, we sat waiting for about 30 to 45 minutes for nothing. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay for the drinks, but the experience was very disappointing. Afterwards, we fortunately managed to get a delicious sandwich at STACH Food on Choorstraat. That made the afternoon a little better after all. 😉

We had a lovely time sitting on this terrace and were served very politely by the staff. An excellent location to relax for a bit, grab a bite to eat, and watch the people go by.

We sat there for more than fifteen minutes and were not helped. The scarce staff that is there do not look around; they are not even receptive to being called out for. We got up and walked away.

Very disappointing experience. Although the restaurant is open until 10:00 PM, tables and chairs were already being stacked from 6:00 PM onwards, and even the candle was removed from our table. It felt like we were being chased away. Additionally, a simple bowl of sauce cost an extra €1. We were also asked at 6:30 PM if we wanted to order anything else, even though our food hadn't even been served yet, because ordering later was supposedly no longer possible. Unfortunately, it did not feel hospitable.

The nuggets and fries, as well as the panini, are highly recommended. A good spot for a good price to grab a drink and a bite to eat while strolling through the city.

This must be by far the worst place in Utrecht. Pre-prepared wafer-thin paninis with greasy filling, and cold on the inside. That’s quite an achievement for such a thin thing that you also have to wait a long time for. And on top of that, it’s ridiculously expensive. I’ve been burping up rancidity all day. Awful.

We didn't know this place, ended up there when we were in town. Flavorless croquettes, the fried egg dish likewise, and everything served on soggy white bread. We are easily satisfied for a quick bite, but never again! Expensive and substandard quality. This location deserves something better!

The restaurant has a great location, in a nice area with a pleasant view. We tried the Chicken Satay, which was honestly very good and came with a generous amount of fries and nachos. We really enjoyed it! However, our friends ordered paninis and baguettes, which were quite small, so they might not have been enough to satisfy everyone. Also, we had to wait quite a while for our food. We found the price of some dishes rather high in relation to the portion sizes.

Right in the center...got a table without an appointment. The service took longer than usual, to be fair, it was very busy that day. The owner was very nice. There's a small area where only non-alcoholic drinks are served...ordering gluten-free was absolutely no problem.

Completely overpriced! The food was okay, but more like fast-food quality; we didn't expect that for the price. A 0.5-liter Heineken cost €7.90! Small paninis cost €12-15. The service was quick, but you couldn't pay at your table; we had to pay at the counter/cash register.

Skip this place if you want something to drink. Can we have a glass of water with our coffee? Spa Blue or Red? No, just a glass of tap water with our cappuccino and coffee, €4.60 and €3.90 respectively. No, that’s not allowed, well, never mind then. You are clearly being squeezed dry here as a tourist. Oh yes, if you can hold it in, don't go to the toilet at this place.

Average waiter working here... Been waiting for 30 mins doing hand signals to the waiters but nobody want to came and give us menus. They bring you no napkins with the food nor forks and knives and the paninis even have a salad dressing. How am I supposed to eat the salad without a fork? Also the waiter decided to put the receipt between the panini bread and the plate so it wouldn't fall. This has to be a joke. And also they got our order wrong of couse.

Bad and overpriced food, the whole table had diarrhea. Alcohol banned on part of the terrace. Strange, but whatever, we'll have a soft drink. Then, after some grumbling, other tables do get alcohol? Strange state of affairs here. Unfortunately, spotted the tourist trap too late.

Don’t stop in this place. The waiter told us that we would have waited 15-20 minutes but in reality we waited 45min for four toasts. They walked 5 minutes with our plates because they couldn’t find our tables (there are the number on the tables). They have zero organization. Moreover the food was clearly frozen and of poor quality. Worst restaurant in Netherlands

Very bad. Not worth the beautiful place.

Had to wait half an hour for the drinks. The staff didn't get it at all; I had to explain three times that I wanted a plate of savory snacks. And when we finally got the snacks, they were inedible, overcooked.

Coffee was just a water. Shame.

Nice in the sun, delicious meal salad. Tables are really close together though, would prefer a bit more space. Nice and lively place.

Last Saturday, I sat at Paviljoen de Dom and it was a great spot in the sun. Unfortunately, the service took a bit longer at the beginning. The QR code on the table didn't work, which isn't a problem in itself, but you do expect someone to come by sooner to take your order. The ham and cheese toastie and the glass of orange juice were tasty, although I found the whole experience a bit on the pricey side. Otherwise, it's a nice place to sit and enjoy the view.

Terrible place, way too expensive, had to wait half an hour for 4 beers, and then ended up paying over 30 euros. The staff also don't know what they're doing. It's a complete amateurish place. The location is fine though.

Paid €8.50 for the worst cappuccino ive ever had an a still water… The service was very uninterested and lacks attention. I also spotted food from the table next to me and thankfully I hadnt ordered yet, it looked abysmal

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here on the heated terrace, soaking up the busy life unfolding before us. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice place to sit and drink/eat something. The tables and chairs are very tight to the next one. To use the bathroom you need acrobatic talent; it is a pico bathroom.

There are only two people who act as barmen and waiters. You have to wait for ages to get anything.

Great toasted sandwich and drink in a lively spot in the heart of Utrecht.

Disappointing! Coffee was watered down, we believe they do it to save coffee. Espresso and Americano were pure water. The staff pretends to be tenacious, while breathing down your necks to spend more money. The owner didn’t want to give us tap water as requested (despite we wanted it with other ordered stuff) and kept insisting to get sparkling or still water to pay more. The view is nice but trust me - you do not want to ruin your Dutch tourism experience by staying there!

Food was decent, place was nice, staff was drunk.

A classic tourist trap. Right in the city center, bathed in sunshine, it seems like the perfect spot for a drink. But you end up paying a premium for awful coffee, only a 0.5L Heineken (no smaller), and you have to wait over 20 minutes for four simple drinks even though it's not particularly busy. Mediocre quality and mediocre service, a shame.

Disappointing Experience -- Unfortunately, our visit was quite unsatisfactory. The service was extremely slow, and the food was abysmal; none of us enjoyed our meals. To add to the disappointment, the cost of beverages was excessive – €7 for only 30cl of beer felt like a complete rip-off (they don't put the volume on the menu). While the location itself was pleasant, the lackluster food quality ultimately made for a poor dining experience. We would advise others to avoid this establishment.

I feel like a stupid tourist. €5.60 for a chocolate cake. And then, when I'm paying, I see the HEMA boxes behind the counter. Exactly the same cake. A very smart entrepreneur, indeed.

This afternoon we sat on the terrace. The location is nice, but that's about it. The drinks are okay, nothing special. I definitely don't recommend the nachos, because they're disgusting and made with cheap ingredients, and they're also super overpriced!!! The staff is also friendly. There are so many other great places in Utrecht, so don't waste your money.

Terrible and incredibly expensive! €11.90 for 2 croquettes on cotton bread, €11.90 for a small panini with barely any toppings, and €6.90 for truly awful fries with a much-too-small mayo container... One tip: Stay away!

Very disappointed by how I was treated here. After ordering and paying for my cold chocolate, I was sitting calmly at my table doing a small craft project. Out of nowhere, the owner came and asked me to leave in a very rude and condescending tone. No clear reason, no kindness — just bad attitude. Except his Rudeness at all what suprised me was that he said i don't like what you are doing so leave.I was respectful and quiet the whole time. Definitely not a welcoming place for creatives or anyone who expects basic courtesy. I won't return.

They charge 1€ for ketchup and mayo, without telling you that it has an extra cost. The best thing here is the location: on a bridge and quite central. They also allowed us to pay separately. Overpriced low-quality food.

Avoid this place. Clearly an owner who is after money and doesn't care about quality or hospitality. A great place in the city center with a lot of potential but a disgrace to the hospitality industry.

Good location and nice atmosphere. The spritz was watered down and the snack we ordered was mostly just chicken nuggets, so it didn’t feel worth it. The service felt a bit rushed too.

Luckily we were allowed to sit down before we had to place our order, we didn't have much time for the menu. Unfortunately it's not in Dutch (we're in the Netherlands, aren't we?) The table wasn't cleaned first. Food was put on the table without saying anything and then taken away again without asking anything. Unfortunately (if something is said) it's only done in English. This was the first and last time.

Lovely terrace, great tables and chairs. The only point of attention is that when you have to pay they ask you to walk to the back. Where they do take your order with fancy tablets at your table. Paying at the table should be a small effort in these times!

Service is below the level you would expect from a catering establishment with a terrace. Service does not pay attention, is rude, and has no knowledge of the Dutch language. Leave out things that are standard everywhere, and if you ask for it they just charge extra, even though it's not even on the menu. They rely on their location, which only attracts tourists. You don't see any locals there. Now I understand why....

Quality and price ratio makes no sense, very high prices for food and drinks. In this one there were four people, small lunch. Could also have been a dinner in accordance with the price we had to pay...

This afternoon we wanted to have a nice terrace in Utrecht and we came across this terrace. It looked good from the outside and we took a seat here. Until we opened the menu and saw the prices. We decided to order 5 drinks and the (loaded nachos) that were NOT loaded. The drinks came to us only in the glass and we had a strange feeling. We started drinking the drinks and we could just taste that it was not an A brand. We also received the nacho bowl 2 minutes after we received our drinks. It already looked dry and when we ate it it was really nasty, it was dry and it wasn't fresh at all. It tasted like they had been rotting under the heat lamp for a pure hour. After we finished the bowl we immediately left. For 5 drinks and 1 small nacho bowl 38 euros is really not normal, I will never come back here. I don't recommend it either because you don't have a view of anything.

We happened to walk past it and there was room here. We sat down, saw pulled pork nachos (loaded nachos) and were looking forward to it. Ordered some drinks. Ice tea sparkling tasted like the AH own brand and the nachos were dry and there were no fresh products. Ready-made pulled pork, for example. In short, we won't be back

Very weird that there's an "alcohol-free" section divided by barely anything. What's the point? We watched multiple people sit in this unmarked "section" for quite a while, waiting to get served, only to be told they can't drink alcohol there and have to either move or leave if there's no other tables available. Very weird. Also, overpriced.

I visited their terrace today. I ordered one cappuccino and one coffee. Both were undrinkable. It's a shame I only read their reviews afterward. But to my surprise, I was also overcharged by €8.50, even though their menu says €4.30 plus €3.40... so the total should have been €7.70.

€4 voor een ice tea uit een pak. We hadden nachos besteld, maar de kaas was koud en je zag de plakken er op liggen. Het toilet was niet schoon en geen privacy door gat onder in de deur.

We sat for a half hour and weren't even acknowledged while others around us got served food and drinks. So we left. Avoid this place!

Beautiful terrace, nice in the sun. Unfortunately, it comes across as if they are taking advantage of this. The food and drinks were downright sad. 2 automatic cappuccinos, 1 apple juice that tastes like apple lemonade. Croquettes, nothing special and thick Flemish fries were okay, but few. A bowl of mayonnaise costs a euro, but then you have nothing. The page was the biggest mockery, cowardly sandwich with cowardly content. This costs less than a euro to make, but is sold here for 11.90. At checkout, Mrs. not yet asking for a tip. I paid 42 euros, where I should have spent a maximum of 20 euros and still be dissatisfied. This is the first Google review I am writing, purely because of the sadness of this place.

We thought we would have a nice drink. The owner came to us 3 times to ask if we wanted something to drink or eat, to which we answered no! Later the waiter came to us to tell us that the table would be served in half an hour. How can you reserve a terrace? I wouldn't recommend anyone to sit here! Service poor and pushy. Never again!!

3,90 voor een automaten latte en 15 euro voor een panini die niet vers bereid was, we bestelde en 4 minuten later was het er al, en zo verschrikkelijk zout brrr echt slechte kwaliteit voor wat je betaald. Vieze keuken, onfris toilet, bediening was erg aardig, maar de kwaliteit/prijs was echt beneden alle pijl!!

Heerlijk geborreld, lekker gegeten en leuke bediening. Terras zit lekker en leuk mensen kijken bij een warm vuurtje. Top.

Goede en snelle service. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk geluncht en geborreld. Broodje zalm raad ik zeker aan. Ook de koffie was erg goed.

Was charged 19,20 for 3 small paper cups of gluwein. If the owners feel comfortable charging this much money for a little bit of (poor tasting) gluwein, I would not trust the rest of their business. Would recommend to avoid.

We had to wait a long time before someone came to us to take an order. The QR code at the table for which you firstly had to log in and secondly you could not order was worthless. Half a liter of Heineken for 7.20?? Also a dark and gray atmosphere. Not worth the money and time.

Staff speaks half English and half Dutch Coffee comes from a kind of machine that tastes like instant coffee (3.20 for regular, 6 euros for double espresso) Food cannot be chopped and it is better to take it from the refrigerator of the supermarket. What a crap tent in a good location

By far the most ridiculously priced terrace in Utrecht. 12 euros for a sandwich from Aldi with croquettes from the same Aldi fried for far too long. Cramped together with tables that barely remain standing, and then dare to charge 5 euros for a coffee fished straight from the canal. Definitely walk past this place, location seems nice, but food is dramatic and way too expensive

Wat een ballen tent tosti kaas net wel prima, tosti ham kaas gwn echt nog koud van binnen en een bakje curry van een euro waar je 2 happen van kan nemen. Frisdrank geen prik of iets van ijs en 100% uit een fles voor toch wel de hoofdprijs. Bij aankomst werd er meteen toen we gingen zitten gevraagd wat we willen eten terwijl we nog niet eens hadden kunnen kijken. Toen kwam die aan met de drankjes krijgen we een bon voor ons neus geschoven of we er ff op konden letten en meenemen als we af gaan rekenen? Nou toen uiteindelijk eten besteld, loopt meteen weg na bestellen niet even herhalen niks het was heel gek. Nou toen waren we er wel mooi klaar mee dus gaan afrekenen staat mevrouw te bellen? Ze hangt ook niet op ze blijft gwn echt aan de telefoon dit was zo absurt hier echt niet heen gaan.

Food came very quickly, even though the terrace was full. With the mozzarella panini, the panini was not warm and the mozzarella not melted with cheap pesto. At the bouncer, the cheese and ham were just stuck on it. The greenhouse had not melted. There was not even a hello from the waiter. Staff showed no interest.

Substandard service, very impersonal, no attention for the customer. When we wanted to pay it was as if they were deliberately ignored, after 5 minutes of really waving (!) we got an irritated look after which they said we had to pay at the bar. Also really weak coffee...

Nice terrace in a central location in Utrecht. Unfortunately the apple pie was sold out, so I took Apple Strudel with Vanilla Strudel as an alternative. Unfortunately it was a bit soggy. Service was not very smooth, but the location makes up for a lot.

The coffee was dirty (we didn't drink it) and very expensive. How dare you charge so much money for coffee from a vending machine? The place is beautiful and the service is friendly, but it is a tourist trap. Please go somewhere else, there are 50 better coffee places in Utrecht.

Our order was taken quickly and served almost as quickly. The quality of the food is fine. It is not a terrace where you can sit for a long time, but I can definitely recommend this restaurant for a quick, good lunch.

This is where I had my worst work experience ever! Hours of work in the sun to get paid around €130 at the end of the month! And make it look like it's right on paper. “Manager” admits afterwards that it is not entirely correct. resigned with immediate effect. Heard from a family friend who talked the talk that they are indeed doing scams. Don't fall for this. The food is indeed not completely fresh except for their paninis and the croquettes on bread won't kill you either. The owners also gave me the middle finger. They are also defensive people. What can I say about it🤷🏻‍♀️ It's been 2 years now, but judging by the reviews they don't do anything about it. 0 improvement.

Coffee by the canal in a great location

The wine was not a nice house wine for the price mentioned, it was a bit sour. The nachos were €12.90 but were not worth the price. It was some tortilla chips with a jar of tomato sauce and guacamole from the supermarket. There were no vegetables except for 2 slices of cucumber (??? which do not belong with nachos). The cheese wasn't tasty either. When we indicated that we wanted to send the nachos back, there was no response. We wouldn't come back here. Positive points: there was sun and the cushioned seats were comfortable. We were helped well by the guy at the cash register.

There are other options in the zone....

Kale tosti van fabrieksbrood, kaas zonder smaak, geen garnituurtje erbij, geen vraag wilt u bruin of wit brood, ketchup bij besteld dat kwam pas toen de Tosti’s op waren. Dit krijg je nog niet eens in het clubhuis van de voetbal club.

We waited more than half an hour for someone to take our order on the terrace, but the waiter did not come to the 'neighborhood' where we were, nor could we get in touch with them. So we went to sit with the neighbors. While we enjoyed a nice lunch there, we saw the same thing happen three times, really bad service!
