The food is delicious! I tried the ceviche with fried fish, seco with beans, anticuchos, and everything was delicious. The chicha de jora is good too! You need to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

A family-owned restaurant with a warm, down-to-earth atmosphere. Portions are generous, the food is tasty, and the prices offer good value for money. Nothing fancy—just honest, comforting food done well. The only area that could be improved is the wine selection, which is quite limited and very basic. It would be nice to see a slightly better wine option available, even for a restaurant of this type.

I tried the lomo saltado and the chaufa rice. The potatoes were frozen and nothing special, and the meat was very thick, so in some parts it was too red. The flavor was very good, though, but the rice was very compact. The chaufa rice didn't have much flavor; the bell pepper was especially prominent. And just like with the rice from the lomo saltado, the chaufa rice was also very compact, with the rice grains broken in half.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. They take forever to bring the food and then rudely kick you out because they have other reservations. Even though the food was good, I wouldn't go back because of the bad service and rude treatment. 👎🏽 P.S. My friend and I arrived on time for our reservation. We had ordered an appetizer and two main courses. My friend's appetizer and main course arrived on time, but mine took forever... so long that I had to ask if they had forgotten. 😅

Delicious food, cozy and homely!

I took my best friends from different nationalities and have a nice meal and time, we were celebrating the birthday of a friend. I loved the food, it was really amazing, a lot of variety! Really TOP! however the quality of the service was disappointing. The waiter was constantly rushing us to order more and go to the next course. In the end after ordering the desserts and getting them at the table, 5 min afterwards he came and said we only had 5 min to finish all cause the table was reserved by another family. We had to rush and pay quickly and when we noticed there were still other empty tables that could have Been good to transfer to in worst case scenario. Bad service, the waiter was always distracted and not paying attention to serve nicely the food. The owner was there and also didn’t try to find a solution. Not warm at all for being Peruvian!

Food was very good. I loved that they have such a variety of Peruvian dishes, even in desserts. The only thing I didn't like is that I was feeling that they were rushing us to finish. At one point they approach to say "you only have 5 minutes to finish because there is another reservation" and we just started our desserts when they said that. If I would have known, I wouldn't have ordered a dessert. Service needs to improve, but food was tasty!

Delicious Peruvian specialties but reservations are very important because this restaurant is constantly full!!

This place is a gem! Extensive menu, the ceviche was lovely and we tried many dishes we hadn't tried before. The service was nice and the experience felt authentic. We had to go back the next day having forgotten an item, they remembered us and had been very good in storing the forgotten item. Thank you for the attention to detail!

We were here on a day trip to Amsterdam and really enjoyed the food and the hospitality. We shared a mix of appetisers which were all extremly tasty and without asking were set up with a seperate plate each so that sharing and enjoying different tastes and textures was easy. For the main we had different plates that both were very enjoyable (unfortunately one of the pictures of them seems to have been lost ;-/..) and so much that we didn't manage to eat all the rice. And I enjoyed the chicha morada a lot - still one of my favourite drinks and home-made and very tasty here :-).

A unique experience with friendly service. It's the best restaurant I've visited in Holland, with a variety of dishes. Personalized service didn't take more than 10 minutes. I recommend making a reservation because it's always packed. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Clean, and the owner is charming. I'll be back soon. I recommend it 100%.

The food is good and traditional in flavor. The chef and waiter are friendly, but the owner has a harsh and inhospitable demeanor. I've noticed this attitude on every visit, which makes me think twice before returning.

I have visited this restaurant a few times. The service has never been their priority, being quite unwelcoming. The owner, Alberto, tends to rush customers to eat fast and leave. But food used to make it worth the inconvenience. However, sadly, today I visited again and the quality of the food has significantly declined, along with the service. A main dish was brought before the appetiser, the other main dish was delayed. Chicha morada was warm. Chicharrón de pescado was soggy instead of crispy and well fried. Meat in lomo saltado was chewy and overcooked. Very disappointing experience. This is the last time I’m visiting.

AVOID - NOT RECOMMENDED. Owner Alberto is the most greedy, unwelcoming, and rude person I know. He doesn't deserve any guests. I have been here a few times, I had to validate the other reviews on Alberto, but it's true. He's for example instructing guests what and how much to eat when they arrive in a group. In an horrible way. He doesn't represent Peruvian culture at all. Also the place is an outdated mess, never invested any penny. The food is not bad, but rather expensive and mediocre quality ingredients. Visit Casa Peru, Mache or NAZKA instead!

I love coming here! I always bring my guests here because it truly feels like being there! The food is delicious and warm, and the service is always friendly. The chef is a very nice person who said goodbye with a huge smile when I told him how delicious everything was. The prices are super affordable too! 🥰 I always want to come back!

I went with my family, to start the welcoming was terrible, the guy asked if we have reservation and made a face when I asked. " if reservation is needed" he says yes, even tough the restaurant had lots of tables available, anyway, we steaded down, and we ordered the tamales, the chilcano soup and huancaina , the tamal was dry because they heated in the microwave , tasted bad, chilcano has no taste, it was very bland, the huancaina tasted of Pure olive oil , far away from a huancaina, also we ordered the pollo a la braza (roasted chicken) chicken was ok , a bit juicy however didn't taste like an authentic peruvian pollo a la braza and the lomo saltado was ok . In general food was dissapointed, we ate it because we were hungry and we didn't want it to look for another restaurant. I dont recommend it , it is very likely that the chef hasn't gane to peru for a long time that has forgotten how to cook proper peruvian food. The service bad , the waiters were interacting more between them than giving proper service to customers.

Incredible experience. Authentic Peruvian cuisine, with flavors that are unlike any other. We tried huancaína potatoes, tuna causa, ceviche and a tres leches dessert: all delicious and full of flavor. Each dish is truly enjoyed. The menu is very varied, so we will definitely return. We recommend making a reservation because the place is small and fills up quickly.

Really good place; very close to original Peruvian cuisine, and for really good price. Staff were nice, and the size of the plates were also good ideal even to share between 2. Definitely worth trying. I recommend Tallarín Huancaina, lomo saltado and seco con frejoles as main dish, and for sure Tres Causas as starter. dessert “tres leches” was also pretty good! And to drink, pisco sour was also really good, sweet and not too strong! They have tables outside for this warm weather too. Provecho!!

the raw materials seem very fresh. We tried the ceviche, really well done: balanced, fresh and with the right acidity. The tallarines a la Huancaina con lo mito were fantastic. The restaurant is simple but well-kept, with a familiar and welcoming atmosphere. The service was friendly and helpful, ready to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Excellent value for money: you leave satisfied, both for your palate and your wallet. Recommended for those who want to discover authentic Peruvian cuisine in an informal setting.

As a person with a wide acceptance of taste, the overall quality of the food here (as far as the seafood noodles and seafood rice we ordered) is moderate to me. Seafood is not fresh, so if you come for seafood, I don't recommend it. But I think the seasoning of the sauce is okay. It seems that many people order passion fruit desserts, so we did too, but we were disappointed that the sweet and sour taste of passion fruit was not combined with the cream part. It felt like just the quality of a dessert bought in a supermarket.

As a good Peruvian I went looking for food and as soon as I arrived they told me in a very unfriendly manner that there was no table, when there was a table outside, after that they practically kicked us out. I was so surprised that a restaurant that claims to be Peruvian is not kind enough to tell you to make a reservation or that there is a waiting time as is customary in Peru. When we left, I think he realized that he treated us badly and came out to tell us that we could take the outside table and that it was always full, to which we did not agree.

Good Food, but Lacking Warmth The ceviche was excellent—fresh and flavorful! The lomo saltado was good too. The deserts were ok. Unfortunately, who I believe to be the owner wasn’t very friendly, which dampened the experience.

A non-touristy restaurant, with delicious food, and charming attention from the Brazilian guy. The meals have fair but good portions. I will repeat.🍜😆

Sadly the cooked seafood was not fresh, was chewy, had a funny taste and resulted in me having to throw up 1,5 hours after eating (which means some kind of food poisoning or bacteria). The platanos were really good tho, and my friend had raw seafood and did not throw up, so it seems like they reserve the fresh seafood for the raw dishes.... Regarding the service, according to the online reservation it was untill 19:30, but when we wanted to order a desert at 19:05 the waiter was pressuring us that we had to leave in 10 minutes? I get that the place is small, but that's not a nice way to deal with your clients sadly.

Excellent food!!! Especially the tamale con pollo, pulpo & seco de res were perfect. Truly blown away by its taste & definitely one of the best diners/restaurants in Amsterdam (we're locals). Peruvian cuisine brought Latin flavors to Amsterdam like no other place has in the entire metropolitan area. Prices were very decent for the amount (and quality!!!) you get. Will definitely come back one day :)

Fried yucca with. Huancaina sauce, special mix of corvina ceviche and fish crackling...without words! Very good. The waiter was super friendly, I wanted the 3leches cake and they were preparing it right at that moment. He told me to wait a few minutes until it was done…everything was worth it, from the yucca to the dessert. Super clean environment, good music and very friendly owner. I will return. 💪👍

Last night, I had an authentic Peruvian dinner at this lovely restaurant, it was incredibly tasty with generous portions, offering great value for money. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Although the restaurant is small with closely set tables making it a bit noisy, the overall vibe was warm and inviting. Highly recommended for a true taste of Peru!

I can't tell whether it's authentic or not since I'm not from Peru nor South America. But I can definitely tell you it's delicious.

DON'T ORDER THE GRILLED CHICKEN OR THE HUANCAINA POTATO!! The truth is that I am very disappointed. I had already been to the restaurant once and ordered ceviche with causes and it was super delicious. I had such a good impression that I decided to take a risk and order the grilled chicken and huancaina potato for delivery. What a mistake, almost 40 euros wasted in the trash. The chicken was super tasteless and dry, it didn't taste like grilled chicken but rather like the chicken they sell at AH. And the sauces that come with the chicken are also super bland. The huancaina potato had no yellow chili flavor at all, it tasted like cream, but not like huancaina. I already know that I will never order these dishes at this restaurant again.
