Pesca is definitely a cool and unique experience. We really enjoyed the fish-market concept—seeing the fresh seafood, choosing our own fish, and selecting the wine made the beginning of the evening feel fun and different. The service at that stage was also excellent and very attentive. After choosing our fish and wine, we were asked to wait for a table. Unfortunately, once we were seated, the level of service noticeably declined. There wasn’t much attention at the table, which felt like a contrast to how good the experience had started. The seafood itself was good quality, but unfortunately, most of what we ordered was overcooked. The octopus was a bit chewy, and both the whole fish and the scallops lacked flavor. Honestly, I think even a little more seasoning and salt would have made a big difference. The salmon steak was the exception and was much better flavored. Overall, I really liked the concept and the quality of the seafood, and the fish-market experience is worth trying. I just wish the cooking and table service had matched how strong and memorable the experience was at the beginning.

Extraordinary experience! This place is not only a great seafood restaurant, it offers the full journey from the market to your table. Fantastic taste, lovely service, great atmosphere. We had a lovely dinner. Strongly recommended!

Excellent fish dishes, very interesting concept

Had a fantastic lunch, the food was delicious, truly perfect, friendly staff, everything is explained very well. In short, had a delicious lunch and we will definitely be back.

What a disastrous evening. Restaurant to avoid.

One minor drawback that we consider a VERY significant MINUS point, especially in these times of total import controls, is that cash payments are not accepted. A policy that really goes against our principles. But otherwise, we really enjoyed ourselves immensely again. Delicious fish and/or seafood dishes of your choice, top-notch service, delicious wines and cocktails; in other words, highly recommended for the fish lover who appreciates quality. A pleasant atmosphere and ambiance, and even in the restroom, audio pieces by Ronald Goedemondt, my favorite comedian, provide entertainment.

Very disappointing experience — not worth the hype We came to Pesca with high expectations, especially because the website presents the restaurant as an experience/performance rather than simply a regular seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. We had reserved a table for a specific time, but still had to wait around 40 minutes before we could actually be seated. Once at the table, it took another 30 minutes just to receive the water and drinks we had ordered — despite reminding the staff three times. The food service was equally disappointing. Several starters we ordered were simply never served. After such a long wait and repeated reminders, we eventually decided to cancel the fish we had ordered altogether. Overall, the experience did not come close to what was advertised, and neither the service nor the food quality justified the price. What was presented as a unique culinary experience felt like a regular seafood restaurant with very poor organization and service. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed and would not recommend Pesca based on our experience.

The food was fabulous. You start at the fish market, and choose the fresh fish you want to have cooked for you. Then go to the wine market to choose your drink before going to your table. The fish is so fresh and well cooked. There was an interesting choice of sides, but sadly the chips were overcooked and greasy. We had one dessert which was divine and the free ice creams were an added bonus. The toilets were disappointing - no toilet paper, and floors that were awash with liquid - probably a mix of water from the sink and pee.

It was not what we expected. Very slow service and not in a central location.

Fun/Great place to eat. You pick out the type and seafood and quantity, the chef takes care of the rest! Very beautifully presented dishes.

Been there at the opening several years ago and returned in August 2026. Sadly, the experience was totally different. The upbeat ambiance, exclusive setting, and creative dishes made from the fresh fish display have been replaced by a diner-like atmosphere, a long waiting queue at the fish selection stand, and a tasty but much simpler menu. It’s not a no-go place, and certainly still nice for a random stop-by, but it’s no longer a favorite on my city list

The fish was very fresh and tasty, and overall we really enjoyed the quality of the seafood. The only downsides were that it was quite warm inside the restaurant, and some of the side dishes had too much sauce for our taste, especially the aubergine and the cauliflower. The fries, however, were very good. Overall, a good experience with fresh and delicious fish, but the side dishes could be a little simpler and lighter on the sauce.

I went here for the first time recently and loved it, the selection of seafood is super varied and the servers are super attentive, they also lead you into the dining experience very nicely imo. What I liked most is how many dishes had either more classical or fusion style preparation but both complimented the seafood so wel ♡ 𓆝

What a fabulous experience, from the moment you enter, they explain what the restaurant is about, then you move to the fish market, order your fish dishes from the menu or the fantastic staff recommendations. We were seated after placing our drink orders and every single dish that came was fantastic, cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, kept the food coming. Reservations is a must.

What a cool experience! I had trouble finding good food in Amsterdam but this did not disappoint and was well worth it for the experience. If you love seafood, this was some of the best ever🐠

4,9 out of 5. Everything is actually perfect every time we come here. We have been 5 times in the past 6 months. What is needed to get 5/5? Change the side dishes more often and put some emphasis on the deserts. But well... if you eat well, there won't be a lot of space for deserts but still. For the rest... nice atmosphere, nice service, nice food, clean place, good wine variety... I would give 5 points if it was my first time. Now that we are getting more comfortable, we begin being more critic but hey... great job. Great concept.

PESCA – Are you crazy about fish? Then I can highly recommend this restaurant. What makes PESCA so fun is that you don't just get a menu. You actually start at the fish market, where you choose your own fish and shellfish. That immediately makes the whole evening a lot more enjoyable. We started with a drink at the bar until everyone had arrived. After that, we were allowed to proceed to the fish market. There, we received incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable service. For every fish, we were given an explanation of its taste, how it is prepared, and what dish it is used to make. There was so much choice that choosing didn't make it any easier. Once we had made our choices, we moved on to the wine market. The selection there was also enormous, and we received good advice on which wine would best pair with our dishes. Once seated at the table, the dishes were served in a nice sequence, ensuring everything flowed together beautifully. You can really tell that attention is paid to quality and the experience. In short: a wonderful evening with incredibly delicious food, good wine, and a concept that is just a little different from the norm. It is precisely picking your own fish that makes it a fun experience. I will definitely come back here again!

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable compared to other seafood restaurants. The restaurant was cozy, clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights was getting to choose our own fresh seafood directly from their market before it was prepared. It made the dining experience even more enjoyable and unique. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well cooked. We had a wonderful meal and truly enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be back! 👌. We didn’t have reservations! We just walked in & sweet talk to get our table 🙏😂

Nice concept. The staff helps you attentively in the various “markets”. The downside is that it actually stops there; no one came to ask if it was tasty or if we needed anything. It felt a bit impersonal after choosing our food and drinks. The food was good, though the cooking of the fish could vary; with the smaller sizes, you could see they were all overcooked. The sea bass was fantastically tasty. The billing went smoothly; there was a fun game to get your bill for free, and you could finish with a complimentary ice cream (a nice detail). All in all, a nice experience, something different from the norm, and definitely worth repeating.

You Chrome your seafood from a very large display, have it weighed there, instruct how it should be Cooper and on your way you select your wine from a stall and carry it to your table. A bit expensive, we paid €100+ per person for an excellent dinner

I would say it is totally ok, but the pricing system is shady - it is not clear how much you will spend and therefore the bill is always a surprise. Staff are friendly etc, but let’s be real, it’s fish, good fish, but fish with some nice sauce is not worth… an unknown amount of money until you go to the checkout! Also, it is weird to get into a queue on arrival and the side dishes are really not good Can’t recommend! Water was 7.50€ and I think it was tap water

A lucky discovery and what a discovery!!!!!!! From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome. The concept is unique, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The fish was absolutely delicious, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish was prepared with great care. The prices are more than justified by the outstanding service, the exceptional food, and the originality of the concept. We had a truly special evening that we'll remember. If you're a seafood lover, you simply have to stop by and meet the CodFather! This place is an absolute must when visiting Amsterdam.

Vibrant seafood and champagne go hand in hand at this relaxing gem. The ceviche and oysters are popping with sharp flavors. Decor and furnishings are cozy and elegant. The staff were incredibly helpful with both serving and helping english-speaking tourists navigate. Highly recommend this spot for lunch or brunch if you're starting your day near central station and exploring the city.

This shared dining experience is very memorable! From picking the fish to the side dishes, we were guided through the process. It’s honestly a surprise from the moment we arrived, because there wasn’t a set menu and we didn’t know what to expect! The food came out quicker than expected. The seasoning of everything was on point. The fish was fresh and cooked to the right tenderness. My husband and I finished everything (like no bite left behind) in 90 minutes! (You can see how big the fish was in the photo!) I got to say on a side note that the seats are quite small and uncomfortable. I should have taken advantage of their coat area. I was out and about for 6 hours and bought a ton of stuff from museums and markets. There was not enough space for me to put my stuff at my seat at all. The final touch was the free ice cream cone at the end. Andddd I should have asked if I could kept the sardine… unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find it here in the U.S.

My personal experience is that of an amazing concept with a not so good execution. Waiting times were over 30 minutes to pick the food and to get the food once at the table. Also, the floor was dirty from food containers leaked as they were moved around. The staff are kind and super service oriented, the food has a great taste.

We just arrived to Amsterdam and chose this amazing place to have dinner with no ideal what the concept actually is. They totally rocked it from A to Z! We loveeeed the food and the atmosphere, everything was just on point and the waiters were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

Fantastic seafood options where you get only what you want, for a reasonable price. The options for the cooking of your selected seafood is quite limited but done well.

Loved the food and the whole experience. Will definitely be back. From the bread service with delicious butter to the monk fish which was superb, I was delighted by it all. Get the hamachi. Also the aubergine was really good and the addition of the pomegranate seeds was just perfect.

What a wonderful evening at Pesca! There were four of us (my girlfriend and a couple of friends) and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly service, and of course, the fantastic fish. For the main course, I chose the grilled sea bass, which was perfectly prepared: deliciously fresh and full of flavor. We were recommended an excellent wine to accompany it, which paired beautifully with the dishes. The staff took the time to offer advice, which made the experience complete. The informal setup where you choose your own fish is original and makes for a fun experience. Everything felt fresh, well-organized, and welcoming. Absolutely recommended for anyone who loves fish, good wine, and a pleasant evening out. We will definitely be back!

Was a wonderful lunch, we had a very interactive choosing of a food, rather than choosing a food within the menu, a guy on the entrance was assisting us, recommending and being really nice, straight to the food, fresh decent cooked. I would personally recommend scallops and wongolle pasta(no idea how people write it)

I am really angry, but I will calm down and write a review (Mockery and Ripping) We are a Korean couple who visited on June 30, 2026 (Table Number 101). The staff member who helped us choose the fish and shellfish, as well as the staff at the cocktail bar, were friendly. However, a short, dark brown-haired employee who looked Latina mocked us. He lied to us, saying that additional orders could be placed in the lobby when they could be placed at the table, and he tried to make us pay an exorbitant amount at the final bill. The bill came to 168 euros, which seemed odd, so I examined the receipt closely and found that more food had been added than what we had actually eaten. I confronted that short, dark brown-haired male employee, and when I tried to take a picture of the receipt, he became flustered, said "much better," and showed me a receipt for 138 euros.... I feel extremely upset and disgusted because I feel like I was ripped off and mocked. He must be fired. (168 euro -> 138 euro) The food is on the lighter side. Shrimp and shellfish recommended / Fish so-so / Calamari not recommended

We were excited to try this place based on reviews, NOT IMPRESSED at all, food was just okay, have had way better food as far as freshness and quality. they charge for breads too so keep that in mind !!! Also they added 1 Euro to our bill stating its donation to Pesca foundation/ ocean pollution!!! It’s not about the amount , it’s about the gesture!!!! You ask first to see if we want to pay , not just add it to the bill. We did not know as we thought it’s part of the charges that we had to pay !!!! And realized later. That is of course our opinion based on our experience.

We ate here and found the staff very friendly. The prices are steep (in relation to the quality of the food) and the fish was fresh. The chefs could put in a bit more effort preparing the dishes; it wasn't bad, but it gets a six out of ten.

What a wonderful evening we had here. Everything served was of excellent quality and looked beautiful. The octopus, in particular, was a real feast for the eyes, beautifully prepared and perfectly presented. The shellfish and side dishes also tasted exquisite. Everything about our experience was awful. We were invited to this "Dining for 2" experience via Amex, but something went wrong after scanning the QR code, and it took the restaurant a very long time to assist us. The person in charge of the seafood market explained the menu to us and said it included gamba shrimps. After a long wait, we finally received the first portions, and the calamari was awful. But the worst part was when the shrimps arrived. They were extremely overcooked and, as shown in the video, we could not even peel them. We called a staff member and explained the issue. He said it was good that we mentioned it, took the shrimps away, and promised to bring a new batch. After waiting almost 30 minutes with no food, we asked another staff member about the shrimps. To our complete shock, he said there had been a massive party the day before with over 1,000 people, and that the shrimps were leftovers from that event. He said they had probably gone bad, so it was good that we had not eaten them. They also did not have any fresh shrimps to replace them with. It honestly felt like we had narrowly avoided food poisoning. Later, another staff member came and told us we could choose something else instead of the shrimps. We asked for clams, but she said they could only offer mussels, which was fine with us. She then claimed that the shrimps were not part of the Amex menu, which was not true. We later asked another staff member, who confirmed that the shrimps were indeed included in the Amex menu. On top of that, when my husband asked for another glass of white wine, they could not even figure out which wine he had been served the first time. Finally, when we were about to pay, they tried to charge us for the mussels. This was hands down the worst seafood experience we have ever had. Never again.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The fish is of very high quality and the side dishes are homemade, which makes all the difference. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Amsterdam: it's a real restaurant, far from the tourist traps.

Always a cozy atmosphere, one of the few places in Amsterdam where you can just speak Dutch with the staff. Received great help putting together the menu. An ice cream upon departure is always a nice touch🤣

Absolutely amazing experience. Highly talented sommeliers and fish cooks for any sort of request. Amazing selection of seafood with wide ranges of price. Unbelievable taste and experience. It is required to make a reservation and a deposit for the reservation which will be added to the bill so don’t be fooled by the strangely cheap bill that they charge you there. Overall amazing everything super highly recommended.

Great service and fresh food, but a bit overpriced.

An unforgettable seafood experience from start to finish. The concept is fantastic: when you arrive, you choose your seafood from the fresh catch of the day at the entrance. They give you a small sardine can with your table number, and the whole ordering process revolves around it. Before taking your seat, you can also enjoy a small wine tasting to help choose the perfect wine, which is a really nice touch. We ordered the calamari, prawns, and a fresh fish. The calamari was outstanding—light, perfectly cooked, and served with a delicious sauce. The prawns were equally impressive, again accompanied by a wonderful sauce. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared with special sauces, served with excellent bread that complemented the meal perfectly. The only dish that didn't quite meet the same standard was the eggplant side dish, which was a bit disappointing compared to everything else. We finished with the cheesecake, and it was absolutely exceptional. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and overall dining experience were outstanding. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable seafood restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great, somewhat theatrical experience, with a visit to the "fishmonger" to select the meal ingredients, then a trip to the "bar" to choose drinks, before being taken to a table. Service was reasonably quick but not hurried and the food was fresh and beautifully cooked. Definitely worth a visit. Prices in line with most other establishments in that area.

The food is ridiculous good. They were incredibly accommodating having said that they were spread a little thin on severs. We had a large group so the chef chooses your meal and it's shared dining.

O.M.Freaking G! I can NOT even begin to describe this experience. It was a fantastic and glorious . Reservations are a must. You will get to pick 3 different courses of seafood for your meal. They will ask for your allergies upfront. The chefs have free reign on what they cook! Example we got class and the table next to us also go them. Ours came out with a white wine and pasta sauce, the couple next to us has thier cooked to perfection with some vegetables. Food was exceptional!! The seaweed butter is amazzzzzzing. And the mocktails were on point.(we dont drink, but we will mocktail!) If you have urge for amazing seafood, add this to your list!!!

It wasn't just eating, it was an experience. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Pesca. The unconventional (to us anyway) experience of talking with the fishmonger was interesting and it really added to the experience. He listened to what we were interested in, provided well grounded recommendations, and ultimately made suggestions that ended up working very well for us. The food was excellent and so was the service. We were there for lunch, so it was very chill. My highest recommendation.

Entered and was thrusted into the 'fish market'. Selected a few pieces. We couldnt choose the exact fish which i assumed we would be able to do. This restaurant is menu free yet i felt i was choosing from a more visual menu. The pricing at the 'fish market' was incredibly vague. Right when i entered the restaurant i witnessed a waiter walk back from the kitchen with raw food and put back something with their bare hands i guess the guest had changed their mind from. Who knows how long that was left out for. When ordering fish at the market the waiter made it clear that "by the way this is the minimal portion" every single time which felt a bit unecessary. It was dinner service and about 9 other couples were given the exact same arrival time as us which created a crazy long queue at the 'wine market' after 10 minutes of the couple in front of us talking to the only staff member present we were about to lose patience but in seeing the queue behind us we felt more bad for the others. It took us half an hour to get seated. Its not a nice feeling to enter a restaurant and join a huge queue like an understaffed lidl. In the end we didnt try wine. Got two cokes and a bottle of water, which lets facs it was tap water in a plain unbranded glass flask. We were later charged 7.50 for this still tap water. The waiter we had was incredibly blunt. I overheard the couple seated next to us get annoyed at her directness but put it down to dutch directness. I wish it were just a dutch thing but she would bring bread to the table say "HERE" slam it abruptly and walk away. Lovely lady im sure but this shouldnt be the face of the company for so many. The food itself was inconsistent. Some dishes were really nice. Some were very much lacking flavour. Oh and we sat with empty plates between courses with nobody taking away our plates for half an hour between courses. Several waiters spotting us and ignoring. Pesca puts so much money into marketing but does not know what market to appeal to so it does everything mediocre. Its an okay restaurant with average food, obscenely vague pricing, slow and shockingly blunt emotionless service from 2 waiters. You pay for the 'concept' and thats where care ends. Also the seating is awful. High cramped chairs, loud music, bright lights, table is such a weird shape you have to lean in a lot. The amex menu was the worst. There was i kid you not one choice of main and of course their menu is shared. I had an allergy complaint the chef denied well my throat was swollen all evening. Ridiculous please avoid

An incredible experience. The service was excellent, fast, and efficient, the waiters were very friendly, the place is beautiful, and best of all, the food—everything was absolutely delicious. It's well worth the price. 100% recommended!

Absolutely a restaurant everyone should visit at least once in their life. Besides its creative and exciting concept, which is unique in itself, the kitchen staff truly masters their craft. It's an absolute culinary experience, elegantly complemented by the ambiance and service. I hope Pesca Seafood continues for another 100 years so I can visit it regularly.

We celebrated a birthday dinner at Pesca and the entire experience was simply fantastic. The wine selection is excellent, and the service was attentive, warm, and professional throughout the evening. The food was absolutely superb – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A truly wonderful evening that we will remember for a long time.

Celebrated a birthday here and the table was waiting and ready for us with a little birthday note also! I was hesitant about the food after reading the reviews however, hospitality, food, service, environment and absolute 10/10 experience! Really enjoyed it and will certainly be back!

This restaurant is very popular, and a deposit is required to reserve a table. Upon arrival, we were given a can of sardines with our table number written on it. If we ate the sardines, we would have to pay 5 euros; otherwise, we could return it to the restaurant at the end of the bill. The restaurant doesn't have a fixed menu; all dishes are based on the ingredients they source. The taste was average; the ingredients were all frozen and not very fresh. The langoustines weren't even freshly prepared; the texture was somewhat like tofu.

All 5 stars, great service, everyone very friendly, they help you choose the right fish for your meal and the best wine for it. Fish also very good, not just the flavour of the fish but how it was cooked and the combination of sauces and spices

We had another fantastic experience here. I have been visiting this restaurant for over 10 years and it continues to be a great place. The concept remains unique and refreshing, the food is consistently excellent, and the wine options are great. What really made this visit special again was the staff, they are very nice, friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the experience.

Such fun. And delicious. All the staff and pleasant and helpful. You know the seafood is fresh, no noxious fishy odors. The Fishmonger helps you choose your seafood and how to best prepare and enjoy. The sommelier helps you choose the ideal wine to pair. There's a cocktail menu also. All in all a fun place to dine

Fish market concept where you get to choose whatever seafood you like, very fresh and well-seasoned.

Food was pretty flavorless, which is tough to do with fresh seafood. Lots of decisions to make on the front end; it’s like a mock fish market where you pick your catch of the day for your meal. But they didn’t have a written menu ready since it changes each day and instead they verbally explained each dish based on our seafood choice. We felt rushed to make our decisions with a queue building behind us. The wine selection wasn’t great either and the servers were a little condescending. Also directly asked for a tip at the end which I had to awkwardly decline.

We visited on Monday evening, everything was great. knowledgeable and pleasant personnel. we had sashimi (repeated the order, it was THAT good), deep fried calamari (average), grilled prawn (fresh but nothing special). mains were great, even tho they ran out of red snapper very quickly so we had to go for another fish. all in all we all had really great time and great dinner. the only downside for us, was the fact that at the entrance we were offered a welcome drink, which was included in the bill. once confronted, the host mentioned "she didnt not call it a welcome drink" even tho, all 4 of us heard exactly the opposite... so just FYI. we ofc gonna be back here to eat the sashimi again and try new things.

Not recommended. This is exactly the kind of case where the staff's indifferent attitude completely ruins even an interesting restaurant concept. From the moment we entered, we got the feeling that guests here are primarily a burden. In the middle of the dining area, we eventually found a staff member who repeatedly said, with a completely expressionless face: “I am not a waitress.” Even though there was no one present at the entrance when we arrived. Afterwards, we were sent back to the counter. There stood a second girl with exactly the same attitude, who merely said something along the lines of: “Just pick.” In front of us lay fish, crabs, and other seafood, but no one explained what was fresh, what could be prepared, what options were available, or what exactly the difference was between the products. Not a single recommendation, not a single interest. There is hardly any real menu to speak of — just a few lines of text about a few salads. For all other information, you literally have to pry everything out of the staff. If you don't ask questions, you won't get any explanation or suggestions. Nothing was said even about sauces, as if guests are just supposed to guess what is actually available to order here. Next, we were sent to the dining area with the instruction that drinks had to be chosen in the lobby. Upon entering, we were given a table number, but everything felt random and as if we were being served reluctantly. What also stood out as particularly unpleasant was the lack of basic hygiene. Waitress Ana handled raw fish with the same hands, then carried used glasses while keeping her fingers on the inside of the glasses, and subsequently started cutting and serving bread to guests. All of this without any sense of basic sanitary standards. Along the way, she also spilled drinks without paying any attention to it. Honestly, after something like that, any appetite disappears immediately. Bread and butter were not brought automatically either, by the way. Only after we asked for them again did the same employee, with visible reluctance, retrieve bread and butter from a cupboard somewhere. Again, the feeling: if you don't explicitly ask for it, you simply get nothing. And the most astonishing part: for this whole “pleasure,” we paid nearly 100 euros for two people, even though we were inside for less than 30 minutes. Honestly, I cannot remember when I have experienced so much disappointment for such a price in such a short time. It is a terrible shame, because the concept of the restaurant itself is interesting. But service is not an “addition” to a restaurant — it *is* the restaurant. And when the staff constantly makes you feel unwelcome, even beautiful display cases full of fresh fish can no longer save it. I would strongly advise against this place for tourists. During your vacation, you want to enjoy the atmosphere, hospitality, and fun — not feel like you have to beg for basic service. If you don't want your mood ruined, you'd better choose another place.

Their system is a nice & peculiar experience. Kitchen output is exquisitly delicious. The fishmarket has good variety. People are professionally smiling and that diesnt feel awkward. It is a bit noisy but not to the extent it drives you mad, just slightly anniyed. Calamari was heavenly. The pulpo arm was also as beautiful but we got the sauce in the side and I reccomend it that way. Fish&Chips was good. Even the ashed potato was a wonder.would I come again ? Definite yes!

The welcome was a bit chaotic, and there was a long wait to order the fish. The side dishes were very basic. No particular wine recommendations were offered. The dining room was noisy, with a canteen-like atmosphere. I was very disappointed, as I knew the one in Nice, France, and this is nothing like it.

A fantastic seafood experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent; reservations are highly recommended. The food was delicious and fresh 🙌🏻🥇.

A seafood restaurant with the option to choose your fish upon arrival. Beware: the white wine (€6) and the sardines appear to be free upon arrival, but they're not included, just like the bread and butter, which is incredibly expensive at €5.45 per portion. As a food and restaurant enthusiast in general (come and try Italian seafood restaurants), I can say that good fish should be enhanced with as few ingredients as possible. There are too many sauces here, which are normally used to enhance so-so ingredients. €90 per person, including a bottle of French wine for €58. Worth noting are the two octopus tentacles for €42. Overall, the quality and price are too expensive, and I won't be returning.

One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. Been here 7 times already, each time the food is always top quality. The oysters are truly special, especially the Thai oysters. The Seabass is cooked very simply and keeps all its natural flavor.

Pesca is an incredibly special place. With it's unique fish market concept, delicious flavors, and welcoming atmosphere, it's genuinely a place I would love to go to on a daily basis. Highly recommend the scallops, calamari, and monkfish. The octopus was slightly disappointing, with a bland sauce, mediocre flavor, and high price tag, but the rest of the experience made it alright. Come with family, friends, or even colleagues, its a perfect place for any occassion.

When you first enter, you are greeted by a small, people packed entrance area that is bordered by pseudo "fish market" which displays all types of fish, all on ice. The process is you have to stand in queue to choose your fish, then stand in another line to choose your wine, both in a small area in the entranceway, and then, and only then, can you be seated. This entire process took 35 minutes before we even sat down. It should also be noted that all the fish are displayed int the same area together and handled by the same people so if you have any seafood allergies getting any assurance as to cross-contamination is impossible. They finally agreed to cook my wife's sea bass in a separate pan and select from an area that had not yet been put on display. We finally got to our seats, which was a cramped very high-top table, difficult to even get seated in. I ordered three small dishes while my wife ordered a whole fish. They brought me two of my dishes in reasonable time which I thought would have been all brought together with pour other selections. One was scallops, which were decent though hardly exceptional, and the other was squid served in an uninspired sauce. The servers just sort of toss the plates on the table with little explanation. After waiting a bit hoping my wife's food would arrive, I ate the two dishes while my wife sat there with nothing. AN HOUR WENT BY UNTIL OUR OTHER DISHES ARRIVED! My wife had ordered Sea Bass which arrived un-fileted, but she ate it anyway as it was now almost two hours after our reservation. My dish was an overcooked, oversalted tuna steak in a decent sauce. We ate the two dishes quickly just so we could get out of this noisy, cramped chaos as quickly as possible. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.!

Great show ! The staff are super friendly and fun. The food was very good, fresh and delicious. It was a little on the "boring side" in terms of souces and seasoning other wise would have been a 5

On the 15th may, I had the pleasure to dine at this restaurant. My partner choose this place to celebrate our anniversary, but broke her wrist earlier in the day and we weren't sure if we would be able to make it in time, so I booked another table for later in the evening to make sure we wouldn't miss it. We were a bit late for our first booking, but the staff was so kind and kept the table for us, and after arrival we were greeted by Dana, one of the most pleasant hosts I ever had the pleasure to speak to. I explained the situation and asked if we could move the deposit from the second booking to the current bill not to lose it, and after speaking with her manager she sorted it out for us. The whole experience was incredible, we had some of the best fish we ever eaten and it was the highlight of our holiday. Thank you Dana for looking after us and I'd like to say that it's people like you that make moments like this even more memorable. I highly recommend the monkfish and raw salmon!

Dutch oysters are way better than the French ones.
