During our final two hours in Amsterdam, my mother and I dined at this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. Our hostess, Isha, demonstrated exceptional hospitality by accommodating us despite our lack of a reservation, understanding it was our last evening in the city. Her warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness—along with that of the entire staff—made our experience truly memorable. We are deeply grateful for Isha’s outstanding service. (Recommendation: reservations are highly advised. This restaurant is an excellent choice when visiting the Amsterdam canals.)

Great place for fresh fish and seafood when in Amsterdam! I go there every year and was never disappointed.

We ordered grilled seafood. The girl at the counter wasn't particularly friendly, but the waitress was very nice. I thought we'd get delicious seafood, but all we got was a bunch of mussels, two squid, a couple of shrimp, and a bunch of tasteless fish. Why shove so much fish fillet into the dish? It cost almost €70. If you're here, I recommend ordering individual dishes instead of this combo. The lobster bisque was pretty good.

Every dish felt high-quality — from the oysters to the grilled fish and the sides. Nothing heavy or overdone, just pure, well-prepared seafood. You can really taste that they work with top ingredients. Service: Fast, friendly, and professional. The staff knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked on us at the right moments without being intrusive. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Atmosphere: Bright, modern, and comfortable with a relaxed but lively vibe. A great spot whether you’re celebrating or just want a great dinner in the center of Amsterdam. Overall, an incredible experience. If you love seafood, this place is an absolute must. We will definitely come back.

It's a spectacular restaurant! The great chef, who spoke to us in Spanish, recommended delicious appetizers and a meal for two of grilled seafood in red sauce with tartar sauce. We'll definitely be back when we return to Amsterdam. It's now one of our favorite restaurants!

We got the mixed seafood. Frankly, I prefer fried shrimp and calamari. They brought it out pretty raw. I wasn't very impressed. It's also expensive. The place is nice, but I don't think it's worth paying that much.

We had an AMAZING experience at the Sea Food Bar! We sat in Ella’s section, she was awesome, and offered us great advice on our selections and was absolutely delightful! The manager that evening of was Jose. During our chat about food and travel, we found out he was from Portugal, a place we love to visit. We could not have asked for a better experience on our first night in town, and look forward to dinning there again when we return to Amsterdam.

Lovely restaurant with amazing seafood. We passed by yesterday because my mom remembered she ate there 2 years ago on her trip to Amsterdam. The waiters there are super friendly and the kitchen can adjust to allergies if you let the waiter know about your allergies. Overall everything was great.

Excellent seafood restaurant in a central location. Our server, Ella, was extremely friendly and attentive. We arrived on Friday evening at 7:45 pm without a reservation and only had to wait a short while for a table. We had the octopus and prawns as an appetizer, and for our main course, we had the king prawns with green asparagus and fish and chips. Everything tasted really delicious and fresh.

this restaurant is perfect for an Amsterdam seafood experience. price is fair for the quality and it’s hard to impress a Californian with seafood (who’s had lobster in Boston). Ella is an amazing server who comes with an amazing attitude, good knowledge of the menu and overall great service skills. No wonder the ratings are so high here!

Food was very slow to come from kitchen, waiting staff seemed uninterested in customer service. Dover sole was tiny described as fillets but in fact is whole fish, capers were deep fried. Not a great experience, I feel this concept has went downhill since Covid .

The Seafood Bar in Amsterdam offers excellent quality — fresh seafood, well-prepared dishes, and attentive service. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. It’s just a shame that a restaurant of this level doesn’t serve a proper domestic (house-made) bread to accompany such great food. That small touch would really elevate the whole experience. Still, definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates good seafood.

This time we visited the Seafood Bar on the Spui again! Our favorite, Daniël, is now serving there, and he makes us feel extra welcome! The staff is always great, but this place is truly fantastic! This time, I’d like to highlight the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff at Spui. Ella is a treasure for any restaurant management, subtly creating loyal customers for you! She can make a guest feel happier just by taking their order! Alessandro will take care of you gently and with style. And if your cocktail is prepared by Leonardo — quality is guaranteed. Come watch at the bar how precisely he measures and shakes every ingredient, working his magic as he prepares your drink!

Besides the prawns and the company, I thought the decor was striking and fun! The multiple floors give the restaurant a cozy feel. Ella was very kind to us (she just didn't know Uncle Willem's "fist-to-fist" song ;)).

Had an excellent grilled seabass at the seafood bar tonight, thanks to Emma’s recommendation. She answered all my questions clearly and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The seabass came with lemon and was perfectly prepared. Emma’s knowledge of the menu made the difference - I was fortunate to sit at the bar where she could guide my choice. Just wow 🤍 wonderful admin, who also speaks Ukrainian. There is a queue, but it's worth it. Very tasty, fast service. And we ordered everything and a lot + alcohol and it came out to -170 euros. 💶 very satisfied

My Soup was so cold that I could not even consider to eat it again. My main order was fish and ships...under cooked. The salmon my wife did not even finshed it. Very bad experience.
