Everything about the experience was delightful and made it such a pleasant spot to spend some time. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a charming little place with a local feel. 🌷

The food is quite expensive. For drinks, they serve 20cl bottles at inflated prices. In short, really mediocre.

My Dutch mother-in-law is a regular on a yearly-ish basis and she is constantly raving about the gezellig atmosphere of Rozenboom. When our family of 4 visited with her (from the US), we had to go. They recognized her and treated her/us like family from the beginning. It’s a very petite restaurant with cozy decor that absolutely epitomizes gezellig. I had the chicken schnitzel, which was GREAT! Frites and mayo were yummy! The kids meal included an ice cream treat that perked up my 8 and 5 year old on a HOT night in Amsterdam. Maria had such a kind demeanor that when she gave the boys two extra mints to-go, they felt special. We will 100% go back next time we’re in Amsterdam, and will recommend Rozenboom to anyone else going to town.

We spontaneously visited this small restaurant one Saturday afternoon. The tiny place immediately exudes a cozy atmosphere and makes you eager to eat. We opted for the sauerkraut stampot with sausage and the endive stampot with a meatball. We also ordered a small beer and a Pepsi. The dishes more than surprised us with their flavor. Both were delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. To finish, we ordered an espresso and a cappuccino. Both were very good. We highly recommend the small restaurant De Rozenboom.

The schnitzel was good, not the best I’ve had - but the fries were great! Small sallad on the side. The service was quick, not the friendliest ever but not rude either.

The place is spread across multiple floors, with a bathroom on the top floor. The atmosphere is welcoming and decorated with Delftware. My friends and I tried the stamppot, a typical Dutch dish, recommended by the very kind and friendly waitress, Caterina. We had a great time! If we return to Amsterdam, we'll definitely stop by again!

I've been to this restaurant twice, two years apart. The dishes are traditional and the apple pie is incredible! In a sea of ​​restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world, it's certainly nice to find a place like this. Fair prices and fast, courteous service.

The "French bread" appetizer was a joke: just small, oven-baked baguettes. Vegetarian options were available, but the mashed potatoes came without any sauce. In my opinion, that's unacceptable for €18. The service was rather mediocre. The ambiance is great, with a really beautiful interior. Nevertheless, we felt ripped off afterward.

While the restaurant is pretty nice and in a typical and very nice house located near the flower market, despite we requested explicitly in the booking form for a baby high chair, we discovered arriving at the location that those are not available for guests. The menu is appealing, but it turns out to be a place ripping off tourists: they don't serve tap water (which is common in Ams), a small bottle costs €3.50. I asked for ketchup for my fries and they charged me €0.75. They were extremely rude, and the bathroom, located on the top floor after a steep staircase, had no towels. Don't be fooled by the fact that they advertise local food; it's definitely not worth it.

Great service and food, a must visit

I happened to pass by this restaurant while traveling. The atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. I ordered one meat dish, one fish dish, and one erten soup. (They serve potatoes automatically.) I had been wanting to try the erten soup since I was in the Netherlands, so I asked the waiter and ordered it. It came with side dishes of vegetables and beans, and it was a well-balanced meal. Everything was home-style and had a Dutch feel to it. I was very satisfied. 😋 I'd definitely like to visit the Netherlands again.

The omelette left me wanting, can't say for the eggs but you can guess the "bread" and the cheese were both industrial. As a breakfast it was acceptable still, but I set the bar quite low. Both the waitress and the place were everything I love to see in a restaurant, lovely and welcoming. Charming place.

Came in for a drink and food but the waiter was very unwelcoming and stashed us away in a deserted corner of the restaurant. He did not speak a word to us and it felt very awkward, we decided to leave. Food seemed reasonably priced though, too bad we could not try it out.

It's a small restaurant, which was fine for two people. We ordered typical dishes and they were good. We asked for water and the waitress brought us two open bottles; she didn't offer us a pitcher, which is common practice in other Amsterdam restaurants.

We tried the original Dutch experience food 😁 and it was really good 🤤 I had the mashed potato w/ meatballs and so. AND the Ginger Ale taste awesome too 😍 better reserve a table up front 😉

Pea soup was clearly canned, and a small slice of fried bacon on rye bread? I wonder who came up with that; it's hardly Dutch. Sauerkraut mash contained very little sauerkraut and therefore little flavor. I went home feeling disappointed. It's a nice restaurant, though.

We received a very warm welcome here. There's a homely and peaceful atmosphere, accompanied by authentic Dutch food. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The stairs to the bathroom are incredibly steep, so be aware of this if you have limited mobility.

I don't understand how this restaurant can have a rating higher than 4/5. We had read very good reviews before going, but we should have heeded the negative ones. The starter arrived very quickly, which raises doubts about the quality of the food. We were barely finished with the starter (the plate wasn't even cleared) when our main courses were served (the escalope was not at all crispy, tasteless, and waterlogged). The owner came to give us the bill, and we could tell from his manner that he wanted everything done quickly; we felt rushed. In short, a restaurant to avoid, really…

I went here for dinner and, unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The service was truly terrible—the staff seemed completely disinterested in the customers. Instead of paying attention to the tables, they stood around chatting amongst themselves. It took forever for someone to finally come over. It's a real shame, because the food could have been quite good, but the poor service ruined the whole experience. I definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend this restaurant either.

I went to this small, traditional restaurant for dinner and ordered a stamppot with vegetables and sauerkraut. Everything was very good, and the fries were really good (which I stole from my friends). I would have liked a cheese omelet, but it was only on the menu if you're having brunch until 6 p.m. This bothered me a bit because if you don't want a stamppot or salmon, the options aren't very varied. I didn't try the dessert, so I can't tell you more. Overall, it was good, and we paid a fair price.
