The atmosphere is not cozy, rather dark and uninviting table set white cloth and plastic. You should not go for the atmosphere. It is more a takeaway than a cozy evening out for dinner. The pizza was fine in taste as well as the pasta. There was nothing to complain about. The waitress was friendly though.

I have known this restaurant for 25 years. I have often eaten there with my students at the end of their school year and/or training. I have now been retired for 10 years and I like to have my pizza delivered to my home. I always have a few strange additions (pineapple!) or reductions.... But no one ever looks strange there and it is always perfectly arranged. I order by phone because I think that is financially better for them. Enjoy your meal 💜

For me the best pizzas from Leeuwarden. Not salty and not greasy. If they would upgrade the restaurant, make it more modern and cozier, more people would come and eat here. From the outside it is not really attractive to go inside and it is not noticeable that it is a good pizzeria. The atmosphere inside is not very pleasant, which is why I almost always have it delivered.

Been coming here for about two years now. However, I have never been bored with Italia's pizzas! They are well filled and the restaurant really gives off an authentic Italian atmosphere. Very friendly service and a boss who always gives his all for the customers' dietary needs. Delivery is also really great, they usually arrive before I even expect them (haha). Definitely come back here again!

Pizza was fine, tiramisu was still half frozen. Through social deal we only had a choice of tomato soup. Work lighting and upon entering it looked like it was a cheap takeaway pizza place. Many areas for improvement 😔

Long waiting time, pizza’s didn’t have much taste and took quite some time to be made.

Had dinner here as a couple. Upon entering the atmosphere is not pleasant, everything is in red and seems deserted. Once I started talking to the waitress it turned out that she only spoke English. Order taken and when we received our starter, the baguette with herb butter turned out to be a few strips of flattened pita bread, and our tomato soup was lukewarm without any content. When we had finished our starter and were cleared, our main course was brought after 10/15 minutes, a good time ratio. Pizza resembled a baked wrap with a little tomato sauce and some cheese, so it wasn't really a richly filled pizza. Furthermore, the pizza was okay. The tent was not sufficiently lit, which made it look like you were eating in an underground bunker. If you give it a lick of paint, arrange the lighting optimally and better, make your pizza base a little thicker and make the toppings on the pizza a little more generous, I think this can become a very nice and cozy restaurant. Furthermore, nice staff and they had your drinks ready in no time. There is certainly potential in this tent, but that is mainly due to the atmosphere.

At first we thought when we walked past here that you couldn't sit there. We were briefly surprised by the large section at the back. Very helpful waitress and very good price-quality ratio. We were here on a Monday evening and were actually amazed by the fact that no one was there. A shop as good as this should be full every day

I don't know what it is, but the pizza in many places is wet / soggy from the fat, here at Italia the pizza is still delicious and normal as it should be!

Delicious pizzas and very friendly staff!

We tried with Social Deal and it was good, we paid 16.75 for a 3 course dinner (excl. drinks). The place looks old, so major interior renovation will make the restaurant perfect!

From the outside it looked a bit dilapidated due to the renovation of the front facade, but inside the atmosphere was great, you sit at the very back of the store, which takes some getting used to and it was a bit chilly inside. We had a 3 course menu via social deal. A pommedori soup pizza of your choice and a desert, everything tasted excellent, a super good flavor full soup, the pizza was simply delicious, nothing to complain about, and our desert ice cream was beautifully served and tasty. So this place is highly recommended and I will definitely come back again.

The restaurant is located at the back of a canal house. This makes it dark and stuffy. The appearance is also a bit dated. On the other hand, the food was tasty and the people were very friendly.

Ate here via Social Deal. Quite good food, very friendly staff and an open kitchen, so you can experience everything live. But the entrance with a bar, then a long musty corridor, a lot of red and as if you are walking into a cave, makes it simply not very attractive. The smell there was also not attractive. Even though the people were really friendly, I found it anything but attractive to eat here more often. The choice is quite wide, the food quite nice. The prices are quite high, especially for this location.

Really tasty pizzas and a nice price fish social deal. But the appearance of the place is really a bit sad. Hospitality was really excellent so we did not regret our choice.

Order from Pizzeria Italia was great again. The pizza was delicious and they were more than accommodating with a personal request. Thanks for that! The delivery person was even 15 minutes earlier than stated and very friendly. Thank you very much for the excellent service!

Tasty pizzas delicious dough. The service was nothing to complain about. Atmosphere was a bit old fashioned. But in the end it was all about the pizza and that score is a solid 9.5.

The food was really not tasty and it did not look very hygienic. The restaurant looked old, bulging and without atmosphere. We had tomato soup beforehand, but it tasted like a cup a soup broth and was very watery. The pizza was undercooked. The service was friendly, but inexperienced.

The restaurant could be made much more cozy, it seems a bit old and bulging and not yet completely finished. Some young staff who still have a lot to learn, but friendly. Price cheap.

We have been coming here for 35 years, sometimes once or twice a year. Tip from our son who was studying in Leeuwarden and has now lived in Canada for 30 years. As a former resident of Leeuwarden, it is nice to come back every now and then

It's a shame that the food is deteriorating, smaller pizzas are less loaded with ingredients and the price goes up

After a long wait, a boy came stumbling up with the legendary words; “I hate stairs so much, here's your pizza.” But unfortunately delivered an incomplete order. So after quite a long wait this was a mental setback to write a review. Things are going downhill people, the world is breaking down

Our New Year's Eve went completely wrong, when we went to pick up the pizzas it was also raining... when we finally got home with the pizzas we could already smell the beautiful smell. As soon as we opened the box, beams of light came out simultaneously and “zadok the priest” started coming from the speaker. to play. The first bite was like a kiss from god. We are eternally grateful to Pizzaria Italia for saving our New Year.

I highly recommend Italia for people who would like to eat in a hygienic, quiet restaurant for a reasonable price. The service is especially friendly and fast. It was also nice that the children received a coloring page.

Delicious Italian food in the center of Leeuwaarden. The menu is sufficiently extensive so that there is something for everyone.

Vanavond spaghetti bolognese en galzone met champignons en ansjovis besteld...keurig op tijd bezorgd en overheerlijk.

Fantastich lekker gegeten, onze kleine heb zig prima vermaakt met het speelgoed en wij hebben hebben heerlijk gegeten! Een echte aanrader ook niet duur!

Heel fijn plekje voor o.a pizza. Gezellige sfeer. Het eten was heel lekker. Heerlijke pizza gegeten. Er werd zelfs een spelletje voor de kinderen tevoorschijn getoverd. Aanrader.

Best Pizzeria in Leeuwarden, boss is super friendly and pizza is always on time! Recommended also for the price, which is way better then competitors. Recommend to everyone if you wanna try something home made and different from commercial food made by multinationals!

Geweldige pizza's echt een pareltje als het gaat om waar voor je geld. Als je het dagmenu besteld krijg je brood met kruidenboter vooraf een pizza als hoofd en een ijscoupe als na gerecht. Echt een aanrader 👌

Prima pizzeria! Voor mij de beste in Leeuwarden

We waren de enige gasten, maar dat gaf niets. Jongen die ons bediende was heel vriendelijk. Een bezorger zat aan een tafeltje naar filmpjes te kijken op zijn telefoon, wat veel lawaai maakte. Daar ging de bediening direct iets van zeggen, uit zichzelf. Heerlijke pizza's en lekkere biertjes. Ze maakten een feestje van het nagerecht. De tiramisu was niet super lekker, maar ze deden wel hun best om er een leuke ervaring van te maken. We zouden hier zo weer heen gaan, dankzij het vriendelijke personeel en de lekkere pizza's!

Na het bestellen aangeven dat we het 19:15 bezorgd wouden hebben omdat wij nog onderweg waren na huis. Na een half uur werd er gebeld dat de pizza's er al waren 18:15 Wij reden op dat moment nog over de afsluitdijk. De aardige man zei dat ze het weer mee nemen en ons nieuwe pizza's zou brengen om 19:15 En ja hoor 19:15 waren ze er en vroegen of we de vorige pizza's ook wouden omdat hun ze niet meer konden genruiken. Wij zijn super tevreden. De pizza's waar echt lekker en rijk belegd.
