It was very tasty and very fast!

We stumbled upon this restaurant during our visit to Maastricht; it was practically full. However, the only good thing we ate was the squid sauce. The eggplant parmigiana was undercooked. And the main courses... the truffle pasta tasted like water (it was way overcooked). The beef tagliata was burnt and tasteless. The value for money was disastrous. I therefore do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant. Fortunately, thanks to the cheerful waiters, we still had a pleasant evening.

I ate pasta and it was absolutely terrible. It was very watery and tasteless, with a whole onion peel in it, and there were also bits of mushroom in it that shouldn't be there. I'd only go there for drinks, but I'll skip it for dinner from now on.

We went there for warming up and have some small bites. The soup was ok, but the shrimps…4 shrimps out of the freezer in an oven, a bit garlic and four cherry tomatoes, without any decoration or bred for 18.50EUR is ridiculous. Seldom had a food which seems to be prepared by an hangover student. I have to admit, the pizza looked good. However, we did not dare to try. That the owner asked me to write a review (very pushy) was just hilariously.

We had a wonderful meal at Tivoli in Maastricht. The pizza was delicious and the tiramisu was truly amazing. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent.

You can immediately tell that the staff works with passion. The food is simply fantastic! The homemade pasta, in particular, is a real highlight – fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. Every dish tastes of tradition and a love for Italian cuisine. A place you'll always want to return to. A definite recommendation for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian food and genuine hospitality!

A wonderfully cozy and atmospheric pizaria with friendly staff. Authentic homemade dishes, and you could taste it. The tomato soup was delicious, and the pizza was wonderfully crispy. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Maastricht.

Raw pasta main course and a gniocci main course where the portion doesn't even suffice as appitizer. When I asked for the bill and Vat ticket the owner was quite impolite and wouldn't give me a Vat ticket. Won't see mee again.

During the Maastricht Christmas market, we stopped at this restaurant located on the pedestrian street. Drinks were expensive for the quantity (€3.70 for 200ml). The portions were small and the quality needs improvement, especially considering the prices. One of the two waitresses was friendly. We went in because we were hungry and left still hungry.

The food was delicious. I had the Fruti di Mare pizza, and you don't have to count the pieces! The panna tortelloni was also super delicious and tasted great. Only the music could have been a bit quieter, so the atmosphere is 4 stars.

Extremely long wait times, a rude hostess, and poor value for money. The food was at best decent, but the portions were small for the price. What bothered us most was the hostess's attitude: unfriendly and pushy. She specifically asked us to leave a good review, which we found very strange. In hindsight, we understand why: there are so many negative reviews, and she constantly argues with the reviewers. That doesn't give a professional impression. We definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We never got our food, as there was a group of eight people. How do you forget such a large table? The best part is that we still had to pay for our €50 worth of drinks. When we tried to leave after asking, they started trying to keep us busy so our food would be ready. We finally left after a huge argument. Liars!

There were eight of us and we had ordered food. After waiting an hour, we noticed that people who came in later had already received their food before us. When we asked where our food was, we were told they were "starting on it now." At that point, we actually decided to leave because the wait was far too long. To our surprise, the person who had taken our order started an argument, claiming the food would be ready soon. However, a colleague pointed out that they hadn't even started on it yet, literally a minute before. Instead of simply letting us go, she tried to stop us with all sorts of fabrications and even sent us to the kitchen to see if they were busy. Besides, you can't just "look past a table of eight" and forget about us, but that's exactly what happened. Instead of admitting their mistake, they kept stringing us along. This is absolutely wrong and very unprofessional! I will never come here again. Not recommended.

Eight of us came here for dinner. After ordering our food, we had to wait over an hour without any explanation. Because it was taking so long, we ordered more drinks in the meantime. After over an hour, we asked the waiter if they had forgotten us. He honestly admitted that they had. We didn't want the food anymore, so we asked to pay and leave. A very unfriendly woman then arrived and reacted extremely aggressively. She claimed the food was almost ready, even though it was clear they weren't even starting it. We indicated we wanted to leave, but she persisted, acting as if we were wrong. The waiter, who had correctly informed us, was then forbidden to speak to us again because he had been honest. We also heard from other guests that their orders had been delivered incorrectly. In the end, we were only able to pay for the drinks and then left. This experience was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Absolutely not recommended. I see there's been a response to this message. We were indeed sitting here for well over an hour, and we insisted on paying for everything ourselves. It's a shame this can't be discussed honestly, as we see in many other comments.

Wednesday evening, December 10, 2025, we had bruschetta as a starter, two delicious pasta dishes as a main course, and friendly service.

Uninviting restaurant, far too small. Tables are far too close together. I had the worst tagliatelle with clams. 19 clams, 5 of which weren't open, and the ones that were open had practically nothing in them. This dish was also way too expensive. The bread was burnt and tough. Sorry, they don't see more of this.

Messy, cramped, the calzone was great, but don't expect low prices. 11 euros for 250ml of house wine, the pizza was 24.50.

Inedible food, blatant scam. Our group of eight mainly ordered pizzas. They were virtually inedible, with clearly improper dough. While I can overlook poor food quality - it happens in Maastricht - receiving a bill that was 150 euros over the correct amount was genuinely shocking. When we requested ten additional minutes to thoroughly check the bill, we were immediately asked to leave the table, as it was "all of a sudden" reserved. Please bear in mind that the service had previously been slow, and no one seemed to be in a rush (we waited for our pizzas for 1,5 hour). So, we were sorting our bill on the passage. Avoid this restaurant.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. Quite the opposite, our whole group was disappointed! The staff was listless and inattentive. The table wasn't wiped and was still dirty. It took an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The dishes all came one after the other, so some people had already finished eating by the time others started. The food was bland and boring, and some of the portions were tiny. The prices are outrageously high! We were really annoyed that we had spent so much money on such bad food. 😔

We were a little surprised to have to order our food online, which made the experience feel somewhat impersonal. We were a bit divided on the quality of our dishes; the cannelloni and lasagna were good, but the pasta didn't quite transport us to Italy. We still recommend it, though!

40 minutes of waiting and not even an olive or a small piece of bread to keep us waiting. Five tasteless dishes, and at €25 for a four-cheese pizza, you would expect something better. A truffle pizza costing almost €30 was basically just a dry, cracker-like base. €27.50 for a plate of pasta with pesto and cold burrata on top, with a sauce full of water — simply shameful.

I can highly recommend this Italian restaurant. You access the menu via a QR code at your table, and that's how you place your order. I was able to customize my pizza to my liking. I paid €16.00 for the pizza with fresh tomatoes and arugula. Tip: Customize your pizza! ;) The dough was also delicious. This owner-operated restaurant has a special ambiance. It's a bit small, but cozy. The staff was very friendly. We'll definitely come back on our next visit to Maastricht.

This is my second visit. It's a really nice place, the pizzas are amazing, Gina is a wonderful owner, she greets all her guests in their native language, and their bay tea is also wonderful🌷

The carbonara pasta was poorly drained, so my plate was full of water; the pasta had no flavor, and there was hardly any bacon... I felt like I was eating a plate of plain pasta.

We arrived in Maastricht very late and popped into this restaurant at the last minute, but it truly exceeded all expectations. A super cozy, authentic atmosphere, perfect music, and incredibly delicious food. My partner asked for spicy oil, and they made homemade oil for us on the spot, using ingredients from their own estate in Naples—so kind and unique! Truly fantastic. Highly recommended.

Very poor, the first carpaccio was frozen. After complaining, we received warm carpaccio from the microwave. Tagliata was a dry piece of meat with some dry salad. Never again...

On a Wednesday evening, during a pit stop in Maastricht for a delicious dinner, we ended up at this "Italian" in one of the charming streets surrounding the Vrijthof square. Unfortunately, by the time the prosecco and bruschetta were served, we already knew… this wasn't going to be it. If you don't even pour prosecco from a large bottle in your Italian restaurant, but instead serve it in a piccolo bottle with an indefinable flavor, then you serve bruschetta, which turns out to be leftover pizza dough without any salt, completely tasteless, and then you place a rock-hard disk of herb butter/margarine with store-bought snail seasoning on the table, surrounded by some wilted arugula leaves, well, then as a restaurateur, you haven't eaten any cheese or Parmigiano. Because we had already ordered, we stayed for our dishes: Pizza Quatro Stagioni and spaghetti aijo with prawns, both prepared without any love and not a treat worth dining out for. At the table by the window, on the left is the entrance to the (student) house, where residents regularly come and go. Opposite these windows, mirrors are glued here and there on a cupboard door, so guests on both sides can see these residents coming and going. What added value does that offer guests? A few tips: - Close your shop for a day and take a good look around to see what guests see, for example, the frying oil buckets you can see from the entrance in the open kitchen. - Tape the side windows shut with foil, hang a nice painting on the cupboard. - If you have nothing to do during service, don't touch up the roses on the table under any circumstances; do that before service. - Some variation in the music would enhance the atmosphere; try some... Italian music? -Check your prices: a small piece of bread with herb butter (see description) for €9.50 is pure theft. €25.50 for a mediocre pizza. I've never paid that much anywhere. €25 for spaghetti with olive oil and garlic and a few prawns is also very serious money, especially if, as an Italian restaurant, you serve cheese with it that isn't Parmigiano but a grated "pizza" cheese with no flavor. And if you think you can charge such prices, maybe you should use fresh and high-quality ingredients. In short: dear people, just go a door or two further, because this restaurant's kitchen needs to learn from the real Italians! Sincerely, a chef.

The appetizer (bruschetta) was fine, the main courses came far too quickly and were not tasty. Tasteless tagliatelle and clams (clams??) with several broken shells in between. Really bad value for money.

Three people ate here yesterday. What's particularly striking is the price. They charge an absurd amount for a pizza. An average of 25 euros... I wouldn't mind spending that much on a pizza, but it was very sparsely topped and lacked any flavor. I've had better pizzas for 7 or 8 euros... the atmosphere was good. The service was friendly. The music was very loud, though. So I won't be going back purely because of the price-quality ratio. It's completely out of proportion...

Not recommended. A photo of my escalope proves it. The pasta was swimming in water with large pieces of garlic and one chili pepper, garnished with three parsley leaves. It had no taste other than water and garlic. The breaded escalope... the breading was soggy, bland, and unappetizing. I ate two small pieces and tasted the pasta, then sent my plate back as shown in the photo, pointing out that it wasn't good. They offered to remake the dish, but I refused. They offered me a pizza, but I refused. My plate was sent back as is, and I was still charged €29.50. Outrageous. However, my partner enjoyed his pizza.

We went out for dinner on Saturday evening, a group of five. I'm happy to pay for good food, but the prices here are completely exorbitant. Pizzas averaged €23! And those were the tastiest dishes. My vegetarian cannelloni was mixed up with my friend's meat lasagna because they were indistinguishable from the outside. We both only figured it out after a few bites. The seafood tagliatelle literally tasted of nothing. We waited in vain for Parmesan or olive oil because the server stopped attending to us after bringing our food (the pasta arrived 10 minutes after the other four dishes). I'm not usually picky, but at that price, the experience was a real mood killer in the otherwise fantastic city of Maastricht.

I have mixed feelings. Ridiculously high prices, even in a touristy location, are truly unnecessary. Well into the 20s for a pizza or pasta. A salad mista is well over 10 euros. A glass of wine starts at just 7 euros. And sour stuff from such a large bottle... but you do get delicious food in return, to be fair, and super friendly service. Balance it out. Maybe it's not necessary now, but it will backfire eventually.

I don't recommend it. The dishes are very expensive. The waitress isn't very pleasant. We were looking at the menu when the waitress came by and we asked her to come back later to think about it, and we could clearly see that it really annoyed her (to be polite). We got up and went somewhere else.

The outdoor chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The food was extremely overpriced. A calzone cost €25 :( I ordered a wine and was immediately given a 0.5-liter carafe. I immediately clarified this. There was no response, and the wine was charged at €18.50. I would not recommend it!!!

Expensive and disgusting. *** EDIT AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE I'm currently pregnant, and my food tasted absolutely awful. I let my sister try it, and she said hers tasted the same, so I figured it must be my palate; pregnancy can sometimes change that. Then my other sister tasted both dishes and said we weren't imagining it was actually just sour. We did eat both dishes; it's expensive enough, and we were mostly hungry, but to say we ate everything? That's nonsense. Everyone's plates were still mostly full. I did take it home, we paid 98 euros for this joke, so I'll give the leftovers to the dog and not to your trash. 😂 You can reply to this online as much as you like. On the spot, no one from the kitchen dared to show their face, and unfortunately, a young waiter had to explain everything back and forth. If you were so confident about your dishes, someone else would have come to defend them right then and there. The rest of the reviews also confirm our experience. 👍🏻

The tone changed, the atmosphere became grim, and even the waiters suddenly joined us. That felt very unpleasant. All in all, a disappointing experience: subpar food quality, poor handling of complaints, and a mood that quickly deteriorated. We wouldn't recommend it.

The four of us ended up at Tivoli because we'd chosen Italian food. And what a great choice it was. The welcome, the service, and certainly what we came for—the food—were delicious. Fresh pasta and fantastic pizzas. And you certainly can't complain about the amount you get. We're not light eaters, but we still couldn't finish this easily. However, the quality and taste certainly help us go a long way. The decor may be a bit dated, and it might not be wheelchair accessible, or not entirely. But otherwise, it's highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic meal here. The service was very friendly, especially Gina, who gave us some great recommendations. The food tasted authentic, with good Parmesan cheese and wonderfully fresh ingredients.

We had dinner for four, and the pizza (calzone) was delicious. My girlfriend's gnocchi was also good, but it had some soft gnocchi and some hard gnocchi in it. That was very unusual.

The experience, regrettably, was profoundly disappointing. The pasta was egregiously overcooked, the portions unreasonably small, and the prices disproportionately high—eight euros for a bottle of water, without even the courtesy of bread. Service was sluggish and inattentive, stripping the evening of any sense of refinement. One leaves not with satisfaction, but with the distinct impression of having been poorly served and even more poorly valued.

Schöne Location innerhalb, außerhalb an der Flaniermeile. Wir hatten Pasta Frutti di Mare und eine Anti Pasti Platte. In der Paste lag eine Gambas und etwas Muschelfleisch, sonst habe ich nur Tomaten geschmeckt. Die Anti Pasti Platte bestand aus Scheibenwurst, nach Brot musste man extra fragen, wurde aber sofort gereicht. Der Hauswein dünn ohne besondere Note. Eine Pizza aus der Karte hätte 25 Euro gekostet.

After a hot day of shopping and strolling through Maastricht, we ordered the simplest pizza on the menu (Magritta) for €14 and a large bottle of cold water for €8... So healthy food and drinks for €18 per person, a nice bonus in the heart of the city center.
