We only visit Maastricht once a year, but this was our second time eating there. The pizzas are delicious, the service is friendly, and the homemade limoncello afterwards is fantastic. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

We had an incredibly delicious meal here on the terrace. Everything is made fresh, and the pasta is homemade too, and you can really taste it! The owner was incredibly friendly, so highly recommended!

I found this place to be a very enjoyable dinning experience. The quality and freshness of the ingredients could easily be seen immediately and provided some of the best Italian dining experience ive had in a while. The employees were also very hospitable and the owner kept on coming up and talking to us and making sure we were enjoying our time and the food. She was very nice. Highly recommend if anyone is hungry and looking to enjoy their meal.

To be completely honest it was our fault for not checking most recent reviews of this place. Anyways as it was quite a sad experience after couple of bites of pizza, here is my review. We ordered: - 2x Pizza Margherita 28,00€ - 2x Birra Moretti 0% 11,00€ When we arrived we were quickly seated in a back at a table for 2, which looked promising. After our initial order 10 minutes later bartender arrived with substitute of Moretti beer with Amstel beer for our order which later we again substituted to Bitter lemon soda as Moretti wasn't available. After another 20~30 minutes our pizzas arived. After it's arrival we requested garlic oil which other tables had, but in the end we never got it. Pizzas themselves were quite a dissapointment. - Dough didn't look promising. Flour for it was definetly not a typical '00' flour like Caputo or similar type Italian brand flour, but more like local supermarket brand which showed in a baked pizza pie. - Same for cheeses as they felt that they came from a dairy section of store already precut and putted on top from a bag and not something fresh. - As for spices basil felt like it was poured from a spices bottle that you would have in your pantry and not fresh leaf that you would expect on an italian pizza - Fresh mozzarela or any fresh ingredient was not found The Service itself was 50/50. Staff were really busy as it was Saturday evening and place were packed with people, so it's understandable that it was stressful for them. Atmosphere was good at a beginning, but what killed the mood after 5 minutes was the same song that was playing on a repeat. We spent ~45 minutes there and it never changed, which didn't help also while eating sad pizza. Lesson learned, read the reviews.

We did not have a pleasant experience at this place. We ordered drinks, but they were accidentally spilled over us without an apology. Oh well, that can happen. After that, we ordered another drink, but we had to wait an incredibly long time for it. When we asked where it was, we received a brief "sorry, it's on its way," but still had to wait an extra ten minutes. For dessert, a tiramisu, we waited at least forty-five minutes. When we asked where it was, it turned out the receipt roll was empty. We really lost a lot of time and received no apology or any form of compensation. Unfortunately, not recommended.

Very expensive for the price. €22 for a Penne Bolognese. A 30-minute wait for two courses. Too long. Not recommended.

We were delighted with the delicious pasta and pizzas. We had a lovely lunch with our children. Ms. Gina was very attentive and friendly. It was great that she spoke Turkish. We were welcomed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Catastrophic! Tiny tables, uncomfortable chairs, and a meager plate of food. Not to mention the smell of garbage that permeated the entire meal. The service was appalling, with the owner being far too pushy. The pasta was very basic, but the price was anything but... way too high! Finally, they pressured you to pay in cash and not by card. Outrageous.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The lasagna was unfortunately inedible: it was more like a mass of melted cheese than a truly balanced and flavorful lasagna. The parmigiana wasn't any better; the eggplant was undercooked, which severely ruined the dish. It's a shame, because we were expecting quality Italian cuisine. The value for money was not good, and we left very disappointed.

To begin with: I honestly can't quite understand some of the negative reviews. Our visit to Ristorante Tivoli in Maastricht was consistently very positive and even exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere in the restaurant is truly pleasant and inviting, and it boasts a very central location right in the heart of Maastricht. We were particularly impressed with the food: The pasta really did taste homemade, and the sauces were also exceptionally good. Overall, everything seemed fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great care. That's precisely what makes the difference when you're not just looking for a place to eat, but want a truly excellent Italian experience. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but in my opinion, the quality and taste absolutely justify the cost. For us, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit, and I'm happy to recommend it.

This is my first negative review, and it's really well thought out! We eat out a lot, but this restaurant truly surprised us. We chose it because they advertise 'homemade pasta,' but both my daughter-in-law's and my own pasta were, at best, average to fast food. The pasta—penne and spaghetti—simply wasn't tasty. The accompanying vegetables were bland and under-seasoned. My husband's pizza dough was unpleasantly tasteless. On top of that, there were discussions about a QR code menu, which we don't particularly like, even though there were also regular menus. And the icing on the cake was our order of apple spritzer! Apparently, that's not a common practice in the Netherlands, as I later learned. The waitress brought two Rivella bottles instead. Our children tried it and said it tasted strange. After reading the ingredients, we wanted to return one of the drinks and get a bottle of water instead, because my son didn't like the drink, it had nothing to do with apple spritzer, there was no apple juice in it, we had actually ordered something completely different, and the drink was full of artificial sweeteners. Had he tried it? Yes, he had, because he thought it was apple spritzer. Well, then she couldn't take it back. The ensuing discussion was truly unpleasant, and I was on the verge of making the most embarrassing entrance of my life and leaving the restaurant immediately. Eventually, the woman relented, brought the water, and neither the water nor the one small bottle of Rivella appeared on the bill. Overall, an unpleasant experience for both of us, which could easily have been avoided if the woman had been accommodating and friendly. Then, out of courtesy, I wouldn't have even considered going to such lengths and leaving a bad review for mediocre food.

It was very tasty and very fast!

We stumbled upon this restaurant during our visit to Maastricht; it was practically full. However, the only good thing we ate was the squid sauce. The eggplant parmigiana was undercooked. And the main courses... the truffle pasta tasted like water (it was way overcooked). The beef tagliata was burnt and tasteless. The value for money was disastrous. I therefore do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant. Fortunately, thanks to the cheerful waiters, we still had a pleasant evening.

I ate pasta and it was absolutely terrible. It was very watery and tasteless, with a whole onion peel in it, and there were also bits of mushroom in it that shouldn't be there. I'd only go there for drinks, but I'll skip it for dinner from now on.

We went there for warming up and have some small bites. The soup was ok, but the shrimps…4 shrimps out of the freezer in an oven, a bit garlic and four cherry tomatoes, without any decoration or bred for 18.50EUR is ridiculous. Seldom had a food which seems to be prepared by an hangover student. I have to admit, the pizza looked good. However, we did not dare to try. That the owner asked me to write a review (very pushy) was just hilariously.

Raw pasta main course and a gniocci main course where the portion doesn't even suffice as appitizer. When I asked for the bill and Vat ticket the owner was quite impolite and wouldn't give me a Vat ticket. Won't see mee again.

During the Maastricht Christmas market, we stopped at this restaurant located on the pedestrian street. Drinks were expensive for the quantity (€3.70 for 200ml). The portions were small and the quality needs improvement, especially considering the prices. One of the two waitresses was friendly. We went in because we were hungry and left still hungry.

Extremely long wait times, a rude hostess, and poor value for money. The food was at best decent, but the portions were small for the price. What bothered us most was the hostess's attitude: unfriendly and pushy. She specifically asked us to leave a good review, which we found very strange. In hindsight, we understand why: there are so many negative reviews, and she constantly argues with the reviewers. That doesn't give a professional impression. We definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We indicated we wanted to leave, but she persisted, acting as if we were wrong. The waiter, who had correctly informed us, was then forbidden to speak to us again because he had been honest. We also heard from other guests that their orders had been delivered incorrectly. In the end, we were only able to pay for the drinks and then left. This experience was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Absolutely not recommended. I see there's been a response to this message. We were indeed sitting here for well over an hour, and we insisted on paying for everything ourselves. It's a shame this can't be discussed honestly, as we see in many other comments.

There were eight of us and we had ordered food. After waiting an hour, we noticed that people who came in later had already received their food before us. When we asked where our food was, we were told they were "starting on it now." At that point, we actually decided to leave because the wait was far too long. To our surprise, the person who had taken our order started an argument, claiming the food would be ready soon. However, a colleague pointed out that they hadn't even started on it yet, literally a minute before. Instead of simply letting us go, she tried to stop us with all sorts of fabrications and even sent us to the kitchen to see if they were busy. Besides, you can't just "look past a table of eight" and forget about us, but that's exactly what happened. Instead of admitting their mistake, they kept stringing us along. This is absolutely wrong and very unprofessional! I will never come here again. Not recommended.

Wednesday evening, December 10, 2025, we had bruschetta as a starter, two delicious pasta dishes as a main course, and friendly service.

Uninviting restaurant, far too small. Tables are far too close together. I had the worst tagliatelle with clams. 19 clams, 5 of which weren't open, and the ones that were open had practically nothing in them. This dish was also way too expensive. The bread was burnt and tough. Sorry, they don't see more of this.

Messy, cramped, the calzone was great, but don't expect low prices. 11 euros for 250ml of house wine, the pizza was 24.50.

Inedible food, blatant scam. Our group of eight mainly ordered pizzas. They were virtually inedible, with clearly improper dough. While I can overlook poor food quality - it happens in Maastricht - receiving a bill that was 150 euros over the correct amount was genuinely shocking. When we requested ten additional minutes to thoroughly check the bill, we were immediately asked to leave the table, as it was "all of a sudden" reserved. Please bear in mind that the service had previously been slow, and no one seemed to be in a rush (we waited for our pizzas for 1,5 hour). So, we were sorting our bill on the passage. Avoid this restaurant.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. Quite the opposite, our whole group was disappointed! The staff was listless and inattentive. The table wasn't wiped and was still dirty. It took an hour and a half for the food to arrive. The dishes all came one after the other, so some people had already finished eating by the time others started. The food was bland and boring, and some of the portions were tiny. The prices are outrageously high! We were really annoyed that we had spent so much money on such bad food. 😔

I can highly recommend this Italian restaurant. You access the menu via a QR code at your table, and that's how you place your order. I was able to customize my pizza to my liking. I paid €16.00 for the pizza with fresh tomatoes and arugula. Tip: Customize your pizza! ;) The dough was also delicious. This owner-operated restaurant has a special ambiance. It's a bit small, but cozy. The staff was very friendly. We'll definitely come back on our next visit to Maastricht.

During our visit to the Maastricht Christmas market, we stopped at this charming restaurant with its enticing and tempting window display. We weren't disappointed by the warm atmosphere inside. We were a little surprised to have to order our food online, which made the experience feel somewhat impersonal. We were a bit divided on the quality of our dishes; the cannelloni and lasagna were good, but the pasta didn't quite transport us to Italy. We still recommend it, though!

40 minutes of waiting and not even an olive or a small piece of bread to keep us waiting. Five tasteless dishes, and at €25 for a four-cheese pizza, you would expect something better. A truffle pizza costing almost €30 was basically just a dry, cracker-like base. €27.50 for a plate of pasta with pesto and cold burrata on top, with a sauce full of water — simply shameful.
