Excellent service and delicious food

We ate at your restaurant last night (September 29th, Terrace Table 110). The food was delicious, although some of the pasta was a bit overcooked. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, the bill left a bad taste in our mouths: €8 for a 0.75l bottle of water and €8 for a Limoncello seemed extremely expensive. We thought the Limoncello was on the house, as is often the case in Italy – but it wasn't. What's annoying is that, believing everything was fine, we even left a €10 tip. Afterwards, we saw on the receipt that we had paid an extra €16 for two Limoncellos. So, what started as €115 became €125 for two people with just water and wine. It's a shame; we would have gladly come back if the drink prices had been a bit fairer.

The service was incredibly slow, especially considering there were four of us and we ordered the same dish three times. The pasta was really not good at all. (The portion was extremely generous, a bit too much even.)

Ridiculously high prices for their pizzas. Because of this, we decided to go eat somewhere else, but the waitress started making a whole case for why their prices are normal and refused to simply bring the bill for our drinks. Our decision to leave was not respected; very annoying and pushy behavior.

The food was okay, but I've had better for a €25 pizza. The service seemed overwhelmed, as we had to wait a good 30 minutes for our food (pizza) after ordering, and when we wanted to pay, we had to ask twice if we could pay. For the prices they charge, that's unacceptable.

The carbonara was unfortunately very watery and not creamy at all; the rest was okay, but not what you'd expect for the price. It took over 45 minutes to prepare the food, even though the restaurant wasn't full.

Nice little restaurant for tasty pasta or pizza. Large portions and we had a very friendly waiter. Located on a cozy little street, nice terrace and also cozy inside.

Not recommended. Very expensive for mediocre quality. Supposedly homemade pasta, but we highly doubt it. The tomato sauce was nothing special. Avoid the ricotta and spinach tortellini.

The staff were really attentive and not at all pushy. The food was excellent, I was able to create my own pizza :D, and my husband was happy with his escalope. In short, as you might have guessed, I highly recommend it ☺️

Bad service. Not delicious at all. Too expensive. For a small salads 15 euro and for a 4 cheese pizza 25€. Pizza was like margaritas and not enough cheese on it. Food came too late. We waited about 50 minutes. It wasn’t lunch time and inside was not too many people. The lady there was also impolite with a silly smile. I don’t recommend at all.

The food is okay. But very expensive, and then they add a good 10% tax at the end, which isn't on the menu. In good old Italian fashion, they then ask for cash payment. Not good form.

Our second time visiting in two years, and everything was just as amazing. We ordered the truffle cream pasta, bruschetta, and Margherita pizza. Each dish was delicious, but the handmade pasta was truly exquisite! The service was warm and attentive. Huge thanks to everyone, especially Gina!"

Avoid at all costs! We ordered antipasti, €27 for two people for a few slices of charcuterie and two pieces of cheese, not even any vegetables as advertised on the menu... They forgot our drinks and ended up bringing us an undrinkable limoncello spritz. Then we waited over an hour for our main courses (a pasta dish and a pizza). The chef supposedly forgot our order. With only four servers for 20 customers, it's obvious... They also forgot the truffle on my pizza... In the end, not a single apology, and they even had the nerve to pressure us into leaving a tip.

I thought it was very good! Be aware of minor errors in meal counting on the app. The service was good and friendly.

Had a family meal on a warm evening. Food was ok though the service managed to mess up our drinks order (sparkling water instead of still and the wrong beer). Very friendly staff. We changed tables after ordering (the order was placed online via QR code with the table number), which wasn't a problem. Appetizer, pizza, tiramisu, ice cream – everything was delicious and served very nicely. Everything was served quite quickly. The restaurant is chilled. (Soft toilet paper 🙂)

I found this place to be a very enjoyable dinning experience. The quality and freshness of the ingredients could easily be seen immediately and provided some of the best Italian dining experience ive had in a while. The employees were also very hospitable and the owner kept on coming up and talking to us and making sure we were enjoying our time and the food. She was very nice. Highly recommend if anyone is hungry and looking to enjoy their meal.

I've never eaten so delicious food, and the service was very friendly. Everything was perfect. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

To be completely honest it was our fault for not checking most recent reviews of this place. Anyways as it was quite a sad experience after couple of bites of pizza, here is my review. We ordered: - 2x Pizza Margherita 28,00€ - 2x Birra Moretti 0% 11,00€ When we arrived we were quickly seated in a back at a table for 2, which looked promising. After our initial order 10 minutes later bartender arrived with substitute of Moretti beer with Amstel beer for our order which later we again substituted to Bitter lemon soda as Moretti wasn't available. After another 20~30 minutes our pizzas arived. After it's arrival we requested garlic oil which other tables had, but in the end we never got it. Pizzas themselves were quite a dissapointment. - Dough didn't look promising. Flour for it was definetly not a typical '00' flour like Caputo or similar type Italian brand flour, but more like local supermarket brand which showed in a baked pizza pie. - Same for cheeses as they felt that they came from a dairy section of store already precut and putted on top from a bag and not something fresh. - As for spices basil felt like it was poured from a spices bottle that you would have in your pantry and not fresh leaf that you would expect on an italian pizza - Fresh mozzarela or any fresh ingredient was not found The Service itself was 50/50. Staff were really busy as it was Saturday evening and place were packed with people, so it's understandable that it was stressful for them. Atmosphere was good at a beginning, but what killed the mood after 5 minutes was the same song that was playing on a repeat. We spent ~45 minutes there and it never changed, which didn't help also while eating sad pizza. Lesson learned, read the reviews.

We did not have a pleasant experience at this place. We ordered drinks, but they were accidentally spilled over us without an apology. Oh well, that can happen. After that, we ordered another drink, but we had to wait an incredibly long time for it. When we asked where it was, we received a brief "sorry, it's on its way," but still had to wait an extra ten minutes. For dessert, a tiramisu, we waited at least forty-five minutes. When we asked where it was, it turned out the receipt roll was empty. We really lost a lot of time and received no apology or any form of compensation. Unfortunately, not recommended.

Very expensive for the price. €22 for a Penne Bolognese. A 30-minute wait for two courses. Too long. Not recommended.

We were delighted with the delicious pasta and pizzas. We had a lovely lunch with our children. Ms. Gina was very attentive and friendly. It was great that she spoke Turkish. We were welcomed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Catastrophic! Tiny tables, uncomfortable chairs, and a meager plate of food. Not to mention the smell of garbage that permeated the entire meal. The service was appalling, with the owner being far too pushy. The pasta was very basic, but the price was anything but... way too high! Finally, they pressured you to pay in cash and not by card. Outrageous.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The lasagna was unfortunately inedible: it was more like a mass of melted cheese than a truly balanced and flavorful lasagna. The parmigiana wasn't any better; the eggplant was undercooked, which severely ruined the dish. It's a shame, because we were expecting quality Italian cuisine. The value for money was not good, and we left very disappointed.

We managed to get a table here at the last minute last night! Most places had already closed their kitchens, but they were thoughtful enough to prepare something for us. Delicious food and very friendly service! We will definitely come back here again without rushing.

UPDATE: Instead of acknowledging the feedback or showing any understanding, the restaurant chose to defend their overpriced and tasteless food. Looking through the reviews, it’s clear that many other customers had similar experiences. Constructive criticism should be an opportunity to improve, not something to argue about. Unfortunately, their response only confirmed our disappointment.

To begin with: I honestly can't quite understand some of the negative reviews. Our visit to Ristorante Tivoli in Maastricht was consistently very positive and even exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere in the restaurant is truly pleasant and inviting, and it boasts a very central location right in the heart of Maastricht. We were particularly impressed with the food: The pasta really did taste homemade, and the sauces were also exceptionally good. Overall, everything seemed fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great care. That's precisely what makes the difference when you're not just looking for a place to eat, but want a truly excellent Italian experience. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but in my opinion, the quality and taste absolutely justify the cost. For us, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit, and I'm happy to recommend it.
