We had a delicious meal for a reasonable price. Portions are generous. My mother-in-law had a pizza (forgot to take a picture) and we had the pasta. The menu isn't too extensive, but it still has plenty of choice. We ate in, but we'll definitely be back and getting takeout. If you're looking for delicious Italian food, this is the place to be.

Last night we went to the restaurant for dinner. We ordered pizza, and after eating three pieces, I had a large wood splinter in my mouth. I called the staff, and they said it was from the pizza oven, which can happen, of course, and they offered me a drink to make up for it. I disagreed and said I wouldn't pay for it, and the pizza was taken away right in front of me. The chef came a little later and apologized, which I appreciated. But I found the staff's treatment absolutely unacceptable. No more Salvatores for me.

As Salvatore's son, can I have my say here? I'm very critical. The salmon pasta and pizza verdura with extra garlic were fantastic! I can't comment on the past, but it's good now, and we'll keep it that way!

The three of us went for dinner, and two of the three pizzas were good. The third pizza was soggy from the grease/moisture and tasted a bit sour. The staff said it was because of the salami, and then because of the onion on the pizza. Strange, though. I also had salami, spicy sausage, and onion on my pizza, but there was nothing wrong with it. The staff didn't do anything about it, so it was very disappointing for us.

We had another great meal yesterday, what a super tasty pizza and lovely service, we have been there 6 times now with our children and friends and everyone is equally enthusiastic, highly recommended, we are regular customers

Delicious food, the pizza was superb, not a thick crust, generously topped, and very filling. The tiramisu dessert was delicious, hearty, and creamy. It tasted fantastic.

What a fantastic experience at Pizzeria Ristorante Salvatore! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. Owner Michelle personally creates a welcoming atmosphere and makes you feel right at home. The pizzas are just as you'd expect in Italy: thin, crispy crusts, fresh ingredients, and perfectly seasoned. The pastas are also carefully prepared and have that authentic Italian touch you don't often find these days. The restaurant exudes warmth and coziness, perfect for an evening out with family or friends. You can tell that Michelle and her team put so much love and passion into their work. Since the new owner took over, this restaurant has been truly fantastic! The mother and daughter team who run it are incredibly hospitable and make you feel instantly welcome. The portions are huge, and the pizzas are generously topped! The menu also features gourmet dishes, such as a delicious Steak Fiorentina and many more special dishes you won't find anywhere else. Incredibly delicious and absolutely unique in the area!

Ate here for the first time, and everything was delicious. They've gained a regular customer.

Always delicious and the best lasagna...well filled campari...and sometimes free limoncello from the owner....young girl who has it all together....nice service from the family and always correct..the restaurant is much better than that old shit that old Salvatore had..he still had too much old furniture......is now also much cozier with those lights and top service..pizzas from a wood oven are delicious and generously topped.....so people who complain about pizza should first learn to recognize what kind of pizza you are eating.(Jo Rodiger).go out for dinner more often, then you will understand the difference between a wood oven and an electric oven, you idiots, haha........what a great restaurant it has become...toilets very neat.....hope I can enjoy it for a long time....can recommend this to anyone who recognizes Italian food..wide choice say Grtzzzz from Eddator

Onder de nieuwe eigenaren is Salvatore een typisch Hollands-Italiaans restaurant geworden. Carbonara wordt er met spekjes en room gemaakt. Bij de meeste pastagerechten kunt u kiezen tussen tomaten-, roomsaus of olio e aglio. De bruschetta is een wit pistoletje met wat ingrediënten er op. Bent u dus op zoek naar een traditioneel Italiaanse gerechten? Dan moet u hier niet wezen. Ze pretenderen overigens ook niet dat ze traditioneel Italiaanse gerechten serveren. Bent u juist op zoek naar Hollands-Italiaans? Denkt u dat carbonara met room gemaakt hoort te worden? Dan zit u hier helemaal prima. Het eten smaakt goed en qua prijs is het prima.

An "Italian" restaurant like so many others in the Netherlands. This isn't the place for authentic Italian dishes. If you enjoy Italian-Dutch cuisine, you'll definitely be happy here. That's why it deserves four stars; for what they do, they do it right.

Delicious food with a good price/quality ratio. We didn't make a reservation because we just showed up. In any case, it is always a good sign if you have to wait a while for an empty table. The food was all very fresh.

Beautiful and cozy furnished place. The choice of dishes is more generous than stated on the menu on the site. Rarely have I had such a tasty pizza: deliciously crispy base and very generous toppings. The vegetarian lasagna was also excellent. The lava cake was also very good. Good wine. In short: recommended!

Just a Dutch Restaurant has nothing to do with Italy, no taste

Unfortunately after having eaten at Salvatore 5-6 times in recent weeks Wasn't nice last time When we called at 6:15 PM we were able to arrive at 7:00 PM. After 1 hour our Pizza arrived When I wanted to take the rest with me, the box was thrown on the table We were settled shortly, and only because we had indicated that we thought the wait was too long. We often take out pizza taco in this restaurant.. 16 years ago they had a different pizza guy and it was delicious.. now, it tastes fine but different than before..

Salvatore's pizzas, when he was still the owner - many cents ago 😎 -, and for many years afterwards, were world famous in Gebrook and the surrounding area. I don't know whether this, in 2024, is now the fourth or fifth owner, but the taste, and especially the base (dough) of the pizzas at Salvatore hardly resemble those from old times... and that is unfortunately no improvement. In terms of toppings and taste (excluding the base), they are still very good. But, as Mario the pizza maker once said in a TV commercial... 'Something that's great!' 😜😎😜😎

We regularly come for a bite to eat or a delicious pizza or pasta to take away. Quality of the food is always good! Wide choice of pizzas, pastas and other dishes, everything is prepared with taste. Personal favorites are the tuna tartare, pizza taco, pizza mista, spaghetti scampi and the steak, but even if you choose the other dishes you will always be served a tasty dish!

Normally we get the pizzas here, the best from Parkstad and the surrounding area, today we had a nice a la carte meal, ossobuco was excellent, almost as tasty as my mother makes it. Ambience has improved.

This thing is so bad! I live practically around the corner. And try to call to pick up a pizza. But after calling twice and no answer, I'd rather not say anything. I didn't really have good feelings about this case. And that was around 5:00 PM. Not to do that, you're better off with a pizza from the ah. is faster lol.

Since the takeover, Ristorante Pizzeria Salvatore has really improved! In my experience it is the best Italian restaurant in the region! The menu choice is extremely extensive and the quality of the food is fantastic. Whether you choose pizza, meat, fish, pasta or desserts, everything is prepared with care and tastes deliciously authentic Italian. The atmosphere in the business has completely changed; it is modern, stylish and has a warm, cozy ambiance. The service is great and completes your experience. It really feels like a family business thanks to the new owner and her mother, who clearly put their heart and soul into the business. I have eaten here several times with my family, who are of Italian descent, and we are impressed every time. This fact also makes us extra critical. Everything always comes to the table at the same time and on time, and the service ensures that you as a guest really feel appreciated. Ristorante Pizzeria Salvatore is highly recommended if you are in the south of the Netherlands and want to enjoy delicious Italian food!

The food was delicious, the service was incredibly friendly and professional and we had a fantastic evening!

Food did not arrive on the table evenly, pizza 1 was raw dough, pizza 2 bitter and tasteless. Service very poor, after 20 minutes I asked for drinks, which we were not allowed to get anymore. So after dessert, which we also had to order twice, we went. Pasta was very tasty by the way. Unfortunately we won't be going back Update; all 3 got sick last night, vomiting, diarrhea, tired and miserable... this is very sad 😞

Picked up a calzone 3 months ago but they have deteriorated so much. This week I once again gave the benefit of the doubt, but this time too the calzone was very bad. What happened there? Always got very good pizzas from there, but it's in total disrepair...

Pizza very delicious, well seasoned calzone, but a big letdown was the bruschetta, 2 dry pieces of baguette with a few chopped tomatoes on top and that for €8.50, it's really scandalous that they dare to put that in front of you for that money, no tip given by that I paid for that bruschetta 3 times.

I often thought that I had eaten the tastiest pizza somewhere. But here really is the tastiest. They will see me here more often.

Had dinner here with my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. Friendly welcome, we were offered a glass of prosecco on the house. Unfortunately, there was no alcohol-free alternative for my girlfriend. The food was delicious, we wanted to share starters, every effort was made for this. Main course pizza, was tasty but not great. I missed some flavor in the pizza dough and the crust was baked too brittle and sometimes dry. The toppings good! Lots of Parma ham on top in good proportion with the arugula. Unfortunately, after our main course, a large group came to celebrate someone's birthday. A lot of noise came from here, which changed the intimate atmosphere in the store. After dessert, which was also fine, we left quickly. Perhaps birthdays can be celebrated in a different room next time? All in all an excellent 4 stars. We will come back to try other dishes from the menu, they looked delicious.

We ended the last day of the year at Salvatore. I had the daily special risotto with fresh truffle, which was really a 10/10! Even though the restaurant was completely full, the service was great! Finally, we ended with a delicious limoncello from the house.

Wow... probably the worst pizza place I've ever been to. Not good pizzas, way too thick toppings, meager salads and a styleless interior.

We haven't been since the renovation. Really great!! Everything food atmosphere, everything really great. I have never seen such clean toilets. Quite friendly staff We will definitely be back.

After about 10 years he returned to Salvatore in Hoensbroek. It was my favorite Italian restaurant in South Limburg at the time. The disappointment could not have been greater. Taste is certainly debatable, but the authentic Italian experience has certainly left the building. The principle 'Less is More' seems completely unknown to the new owners. The pizza was so full that the mushrooms, peppers and onions were still raw. Sent it back and had it replaced by a pizza on recommendation, which later turned out to be half the price. Smart indeed. The products are not Italian and therefore do not give the taste you hope for. The 'large' mixed salad at €12.50 could have used an olive or something else of love. The other pizza had a black thick hair in the bottom. Very distasteful. In the meantime, however, the contact with the service had cooled down so much that I did not want to bring myself to report this. When paying, where I was kind enough to tip a few euros, it turned out that a red wine that had never been brought, which had been reported, had been charged extra. I found this out by looking at the bill that had already been paid, which was quite high. I did get the money back afterwards. All in all, they will never see us again. Tip for the pizza lover: For a pizza made with beautiful products and love, go to Slice of life in A'rade.

... you have to look for a long time outside of Italy to find pizza this good. The prices are reasonable and not excessive, the service is pleasant and friendly. I'd love to come back.

We komen hier al meer dan 30 jaar,zoals ook vandaag voor ons 30 jaar getrouwd zijn. Dat zegt toch genoeg. We hebben alle eigenaren gezien in die jaren en de kwaliteit is nog steeds het zelfde. Heerlijke pizza,s heerlijke pasta en vriendelijke bediening.

Na lange tijd weer gaan eten bij Salvatore in hoensbroek. Bij binnenkomst was het eerste wat opviel,de gezellige frisse inrichting,ende fijne ontvangst . Het eten was van heel goede kwaliteit,en meer dan voldoende,de medewerkers namen zelfs de moeite om een praatje te maken met de gasten,ondanks dat het restaurant vol zat. Dat was echt super !! Ik kan Salvatore dan ook aanraden voor iedereen die een gezellige avond wil met lekker en betaalbaar eten. Ons zien ze er zeker terug!!!

Lekker gegeten, maar 1 ster eraf voor de dieronvriendelijke manier waarop de kreeften in een bak zitten (zeer gestresst en niet meer van deze tijd) en een ster eraf omdat ze een mooie plaats hebben om een kinderhoek te plaatsen, maar deze ruimte niet gebruiken. Daardoor letten ze heel erg op alle bewegingen van de kinderen.

Vandaag weer super lekker gegeten . Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. De kok verdiend zeer zeker een pluimpje. Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Dit restaurant is zeker een aanrader.

Geweldig gegeten in een leuke Italiaanse ambiance.

Voor de eerste keer gegeten deze week, het was erg goed. Inrichting ook zeer smaakvol, en vriendelijke bediening. We zullen zeker nog vaker gaan, gewoon Top klasse.

Salvatore is hard op weg om een pareltje te worden in de regio. We zijn er nu een aantal keren geweest onder de nieuwe eigenaars en behoorlijk onder de indruk. De zaak is sfeervol ingericht en de bediening vriendelijk en 'good looking'. De pizza`s komen uit de houtoven, dat is de enige manier manier om de echte pizza te bereiden. Voor de liefhebbers een pizza taco, mag je een mening over hebben bij een ristorante/pizzeria maar heerlijk is ie wel ;-). Je merkt aan alles dat er een ervaren en opgeleide keukenbrigade is; pasta is al dente, sauzen zijn smaakvol, het komt gelijkmatig door, borden keurig etc. Shared dining mogelijk als je dat wilt, kun je aangeven. Buiten de kaart om hebben we een keer de gegrilde Dorade gegeten (hele vis); dat is echt een aanrader maar niet altijd op de kaart. Sinds kort staat er het Homarium gevuld met kreeften. Daarom hebben we gisteren de pasta Fruti di Mare gegeten, verser krijg je het niet, behalve in Italie aan zee. Halve kreeft, Vongole, Mosselen en Langoustines. Uiteraard duurder dan een spaghetti bolognese maar je moet `m maar durven serveren zo en meteen de aanleiding voor deze review. De kok heeft passie voor mooie producten uit de zee en verstaat duidelijk zijn vak.

Het hele restaurant is vernieuwd; zowel de uitstraling als de menukaart. Ik ben er al meerdere keren geweest met verschillende gezelschappen, de afgelopen 4 maanden en elke keer weer tot in de puntjes verzorgt. De voorgerechten, pizza's, pasta's en de tapasgerechten; alles is aan te raden.

ik heb recent hier een bestelling afgehaald, het ging om een pizza taco en een spaghetti aglio e olio. pizza taco was afschuwelijk meer kaas als wat anders op de pizza en gehakt bijna zwart, pizza veel te lang gebakken. de spaghetti zat vol met prei en ui dit heb ik nog nooit meemaakt bij deze spaghetti, het eten was niet te eten en belachelijk duur vooral voor de kwaliteit. De naam is overgenomen door de nieuwe eigenaar maar daar blijft het ook bij!! daarbij ook heel jong en arrogant personeel

Ik ben vanavond om 18:00 2 pizza’s gaan halen nadat ik om 17:00 gebeld had dat ik er om 18:00 zou zijn. Het eten zou dan klaar zijn. Nadat ik daar al een half uur zat krijg ik mijn pizzas toe geschoven die blijkbaar op dat moment al een half uur in de oven lagen aan te branden. Het was al half 7 dus ging snel naar huis, ik heb thuis de pizzas bekeken en bleken zwart te zijn en kei hard! Dit was niet eetbaar. Ik heb vervolgens gebeld en dit uitgelegd tijdens dit ellendige gesprek vroeg ze me om direct terug naar het restaurant te keren. Ik vertelde haar dat ik niet in de buurt woon maar de manager kon geen begrip tonen voor de afstand die ik van “het restaurant” af woonde. Verder had ze niet de interesse om naar mij te luisteren en liet ze me keer op keer niet uitpraten. Dit vond ik zeer onprofessioneel! Ik moest vanavond nog terug komen met de pizza’s terwijl de gastvrouw had moeten controleren dat mijn eten klaar zou zijn. DIT HEEFT ZE NIET GEDAAN, waardoor alles aanbranden.
