A top-notch restaurant with a limited (!) menu, something for everyone, and attentive service. Ample parking at reasonable prices. You'll definitely be back.

Cozy little spot. Really delicious steamed mackerel with fried capers. Enjoyed it immensely, great coffee. It was quite busy, and there were only two waitresses, but they still managed to serve everyone! Hats off!!!

really cool and cute spot with lots of vegan options. however, the food is quite a bit expensive and I did have to go up to the counter to order a beer which took pretty long. over all still a very cute and alternative place in the middle of a container park on ndsm. keep in mind you need to get on the ferry for around 15 minutes though!

Food too expensive and not good at all (had the boar burger and tasted off, couldn’t even finish it. Bitterballen, fries, flatbread were fine but could get anywhere else). Service was slow, rude (it was barely 8 pm and they told us we need to pay now in the middle of eating — food had taken 45 mins to arrive). Also blatantly ignored us when we asked for a drink. Points for atmosphere, but that’s all. Not worth returning.

ADE Breaktfast club Matinee was a complete organizational disaster. As you wanted to earn as much money as possible, you sold 20-30% tickets too much, which made the place was so unpleasantly and extremley crowded that it was not possible to breath and not to mention not possible to dance. Such a shame. for 40 EUR ticket. Never again.

The food and atmosphere at Pllek were really good, with a unique setting and great vibe. However, the service was a bit strange. After receiving our starters, we waited over an hour for the main course, and eventually the waitress came to tell us she had paused the preparation of our main dishes, waiting for our confirmation to continue, something that was never communicated to us beforehand. It was quite surprising, as I’ve never experienced that in a restaurant before, and it’s something the team should look into since it creates unnecessary delays and leaves guests disappointed despite the otherwise nice experience.

My husband and I went for drinks and sat at the outdoor area. After we told the waitress to give us a couple minutes to look at the menu, she did not return to us, we had to constantly look and call a waitress. The outdoor area was a bit dirty with napkins on the floor. We again had to find a waitress to pay the bill. Maybe if we were indoor service might have been better.

Would have loved to give this one a 5 star bc the food is great but unfortunately no amount of good food can mask service this embarrassing. Not worth your time if you want to wait 1.5 hours for your mains with the waitress gaslighting you into thinking it’s “only been 10 minutes since I removed the starters so it hasn’t been long for the mains,” as though we didn’t already order the mains an hour prior to this conversation TOGETHER with the starters. We asked 2 times where our food was after this and she completely ignored our request in looking into it until we went to the manager to get our food. Not worth it overall save your money for a proper restaurant that will treat with you respect :)

We went there for lunch. Friendly service and a super nice and chilled setting. Our order arrived late (the server forgot) but we were offered free gifts for the trouble, very much appreciated. We will be back!!

Hidden gem! Really cool place! The food was surprisingly delicious. So many flavors on one plate, fantastic! The service was also very friendly. They also really catered to gluten-free needs.

A grungy spot in NDSM Amsterdam, with an industrial look made from old containers, plus a sandy riverside beach with picnic tables, sun loungers, and quirky DIY-style furniture. The vibe is creative but a bit messy, and overall it didn’t give me the comfort or relaxation I’d expect for enjoying a coffee, a beer and chat with friends. Honestly, a bit overrated. The friendliness of the staff is definitely the main strength of this place.

Really love this spot for its location but a can of Kombucha for 6 euros when its 1.6e at the super market is a really high mark up. Non-alcoholic drinks here are not will priced at all. Snacks are good, meals aren't worth the price.

A wonderful, atmospheric spot on a canal in the heart of Amsterdam. My fish was delicious! My fiancée, however, would have spiced up her meat dish a bit. We waited quite a while for our meal. Overall, a high rating! I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere! It's always crowded, and the wait between ordering and receiving your food can be quite long (perhaps even longer on weekends). They even have a bonfire at night, which adds to the atmosphere, but the smoke was so bad I had to run away. ✔️There are paid lockers inside (2 euro coins required).

I can’t say enough about this place. We were visiting and the concierge recommended it. I wasn’t going to go because you have to talk a ferry from downtown. The ferry is awesome. Great views, all locals, etc. the place itself has wonderful foods and a nice selection of drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s in an artist area. Everything is made from storage containers. You can look out across the harbor and see everything. Great atmosphere. I tried to get a picture of the bars house cat but it may not come through.

Pllek is always a great place to chill in every season. In winter it is very cozy and during summer it has a stunning "beach area where to enjoy your time water front till late. Something really to improve is the service, which is very inconsistent, absolutely basic! if you are sitting in the beach area, you have to walk inside at the bar to order, but at the bar there are already many people in line,and juat a couple of servers busy preparing drinks and nobody simply cares. The classic Dutch service so to speak.. maybe placing a QR code would be more efficient and easy for everyone, especially in such a big hot spot!

You eat in an old hall by the harbor with a view of the water and Amsterdam. When you get there, the surroundings don't seem very inviting, but the restaurant is recommendable, and the food is delicious. It's definitely worth it!

Lovely place to sit and have a drink, but the food is truly awful. I ordered a tomato salad. They were out of mint and sourdough croutons, which I discovered when I got my food. It happens, but now there was literally one tomato cut into four pieces with a sprig of cress and some sauce on a plate. Too bad I didn't take a picture. So, go to Pllek for the beautiful view, but first, eat at home :)

I ordered at the bar and sat down, but it took an hour for my burger to arrive. When I asked the server why it hadn't arrived, the manager said they'd forgotten. It seems like the system requires you to order at the bar, sit down, and call a female server to place your order before it goes to the kitchen. Then, shouldn't they just stop taking food orders at the bar? Or, after taking your order at the bar, should they communicate with the kitchen and front desk staff before properly placing your order? If the customer hasn't been assigned a table, shouldn't the bar staff confirm where the customer is seated before submitting the order to the kitchen? I remember a skinny, tall man. He watched us sit down and even went to the kitchen to place our order. I tried my best to notify the kitchen, but they must have forgotten. The female waitress said the food would be ready, but after an hour, it still hadn't arrived. I asked what the problem was, and only then did she show up. I was shocked. My husband and I were the only Asians, and we sat in the middle of the table without food. There's no way she didn't notice. The burgers were delicious, but making us wait for an hour on a hot day was too much. The woman kindly apologized and offered drinks, but that didn't make a pregnant woman wait for an hour. And the hot dog in the picture wasn't even available because it was an old menu item. This is the first time I've waited an hour for a meal in the Netherlands. It's a large and beautiful place, but communication between the bar and the kitchen seems to be a mess.

The food portions were very small, and I found the wasp trap bottle quite horrifying to look at, with all those dead wasps in it and wasps trying to get out that were still alive...

The food, atmosphere, and live music were good. But the tables upstairs were very dirty and extremely sticky even the menus stuck to them. The tables really need to be replaced. I’m not sure if the stickiness is from the material itself or from grime, but I hope next time we visit, our clothes won’t stick to the table.

Dinner menu is very very limited, seems to cater the vegan crowd, if you want something with protein, there’s literally 1 meat option and 1 fish and that’s it. Food tasted ok but portions are small. Whenever I’m there, I feel myself like on an Island, such a remote place with its own vibe, close to the river.. and it has a lot to offer, from food and drinks, to even different kind of sits: from big tables for big party, to pillows on stairs you can just lay onto, to the deck chairs near water..

The atmosphere is beautiful. It's truly delightful at sunset. There are various seating areas. They've designed the waterfront like a beach. You can sit by the water or lounge a bit further back at a table or on a sun lounger. 😇 Recommended.

Pllek in Amsterdam is one of those places where you pop in for "one drink" and end up in a sun-drenched dream full of mimosas and Aperol refilled faster than you could say "cheers." Perfect for those who want to escape for a bit but don't want to bother with Schiphol Airport.

Nice place and great concept, but the experience was unfortunately ruined by the unprofessional and condescending behavior of the bar staff. When you, as a guest, place your order properly, a friendly attitude is the least you can ask for. Too bad, that's a lasting impression.

It's a very nice and distant place from the city center. Food was ok but most people go for drinks. Have a perfect view over canal and variety of seats are available.

Just came in for a meeting. I like very much that in addition to selling water they will let you have a carafe of tap water. Different people take your order and serve your drinks so our dash of angostura bitters and lemon pieces didn't get brought, which put ne off ordering anything else. Good place to hang with mates

So, we "only" had a drink. But the food at the neighboring tables looked very good. Typical here, really. There were delicious beers, and the free ferry crossing from the train station is quite an experience. Nearby is the Museum of Street Art and a huge graffiti area. There's a lot to see there. There's also a hotel in a crane, although few can afford it.

The best thing about this place is its location, with a divine panoramic view of Amsterdam. The food is poor and takes ages to arrive.

The best thing is the location and the concept. The construction and design are what make the difference. A place that appears out of nowhere and with a spectacular result. We went at noon, so there weren't many people. Perhaps that's why the atmosphere, music, and food were lacking. You can get there by taking the free ferry from Amsterdam Central.

A really cool, trendy spot to enjoy a meal by the water when it's not too cold or wet. Dining indoors is a bit less appealing. Very noisy. Good service, but not exactly professional staff. The menu isn't extensive (especially when it comes to meat), and it's a shame the hamburger is pork. Fewer and fewer people are eating pork, for various reasons. An excellent vegetarian menu, though! The tables outside are quite expansive. Sometimes two or three groups sit at one long table.

A super-cool spot accessible by ferry (free) from the port of Amsterdam. You'll find typical Dutch finger food and a nice selection of drinks. Everything is more or less self-service. It's a sort of small outdoor beach, very nice for enjoying a drink in a deckchair!
