Love visiting Pllek, it's a (not so hidden) gem! The best view of Amsterdam. My absolute go to place to being my guests, but also just to go with my friends, family or by myself. They have ok menu, nothing unseen but it's nice. Would recommend to everyone!

A chic and trendy bar/restaurant near the NDSM grounds (ferry to the main train station). Fantastic view of Amsterdam, waterfront access. Good service, excellent food, and they cater to groups. We were a group of 45 and had a superb meal for about €35 per person.

Cozy spot with a beautiful view of the water. Very busy on a sunny day, and hard to find a spot, but definitely worth it! I'll be back soon for a drink and a bite. It also has a nice industrial vibe.

Pllek in Amsterdam Noord offers a highly distinctive environment for an afternoon out. The architecture utilizes large repurposed shipping containers, including one painted with their prominent red and white logo. The outdoor seating area is extremely spacious, featuring a relaxed beach atmosphere with a sandy and gravelly ground. Guests can walk along wooden pathways and sit at large wooden picnic tables under massive shade umbrellas, or recline in casual canvas lounge chairs under a large open tent. The venue provides a clear view of the water and the modern city architecture just across the river. The food and beverage offerings look fantastic. We had a small bowl of plump green olives served alongside a roasted garlic clove. For drinks, there was a beautifully poured cappuccino topped with elegant leaf foam art and a small crisp biscuit on the side. Alongside the coffee were two tall glasses of thick blended juices in vibrant orange and pale yellow colors. The meal included a hearty burger. The exposed sliced interior reveals a thick ground meat patty, melted cheese, green lettuce, pickle slices, and a creamy sauce all held between a glossy toasted bun. With features like the Sunny Side Bar made from corrugated metal, this riverside location creates a very distinct visual space. It seamlessly blends a rustic industrial aesthetic with comfortable outdoor lounging, making it a memorable spot by the water.

The location by the water is amazing, with a beautiful view over the IJ and a really relaxed, creative atmosphere. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the whole place has a unique vibe that feels very Amsterdam. It’s especially nice when the weather is good and you can sit outside by the water. Definitely a place I’d recommend for drinks, food, or just a fun evening

Nice place on the North Bank, a little noisy but you can have fun talking, great sandwich and salad.

Soooooo overpriced for what you get. Mushroom shawarma was 60% cabbage, and two spoons of mushroom. The pastrami bread wasn’t good either. Very short menu too, only about 6 options. It’s a very pretty place with a nice view so maybe worth it for an overpriced drink in the evening, but the food nah.

lol. I have no clue who can call this place a restaurant. Food is 1/10. One of the worst meals I ever eaten in my life. Service same. The atmosphere… is good in case you love being in a container. Very dirty from hallways to toilets. Every piece of glass was chipped. Plates with stains. Dirty cutlery. I asked to replace my items multiple times. Every time it was dirty and I was tired of asking the waitress to check dishes before bringing them.

Vibey spot to hang out and grab drinks on a beautiful day. We didn’t have food but sat on the beanbags and knocked back some cocktails and beers.

Every time I visited Pllek it took longer than an hour for my order to arrive. They do apologise and offer some drinks on the house when they forget my orders (which is every time), so they mean well, but the staffs are clearly not trained to handle the workload. Last time I was there with my parents and we ordered 4 main dishes, 2 dishes took 20 minutes and 2 other dishes took 1.5 hours, which is worse than everything being late.

I used to visit Pllek almost weekly for the steak frites. Unfortunately, the phenomenon of shrinkflation/grabbing has also become active at Pllek. The steak frites I received on my plate yesterday weighed no more than 150 grams. It looked like a half portion and was therefore an absolute joke. After I pointed this out to the waitress, I was told—after consultation with the kitchen—that it is always this size (I almost want to write “small”). In short: my feedback was not taken seriously, so I won't be coming here anymore. And you pay 26.50 for that.

A magnificent location, right on the water with a view of Amsterdam! The staff is very friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; both the food and the cocktails were delicious. I'm taking away one star because I find the prices rather high, but given the location, it's justified!

The place itself is very nice, the exterior is just as pleasant, but the industrial surroundings aren't. The food is okay, nothing special, perhaps the menu is a bit limited, but all in all, it's a recommendable place.

Location was amazing, the view...stunning, and about food we got only finger food so I can not judge. I just do not understand how could a double rum and cola cost 21€, but it's fine, it's Amsterdam, next time I will go for beer and problem solved. I loved it, and amazing the blankets just before to go out!

Nice place for a drink or lunch during your visit of the NDSM area in Amsterdam. Plenty of spaces outside by the water. There's also an playground area for kids where they can play whilst the parents enjoy a drink.

It was a wonderful experience, we were 4 and the vibe was comfy and chill, we ordered some nachos and hamburgers that were tasty and perfect for the day. The place was charming and chill, we had launch inside the place but it had an artificial beach right outside with a campfire and a beautiful look to the river.

Went there during the eclipse. It was quite busy because everyone wanted to see it, so the service was a bit slow. But overall, it’s always fun to be there. Tasty cocktail and the view is great! 🌅✨

Food was really good, there's a breakfast and a lunch menu with a choice of sandwiches and salads. I had the oyster mushroom shawarma, it was nice. Staff are friendly. It has loads of seating both indoors and outdoors.

Food was fine and the atmosphere outside is pleasant. However, the restroom for disabled people is definitely not accessible. The door is way too hard to pull open and closes very fast. Also, there's quite a big step infront of it which makes it even harder to enter. The sink is installed too high, resulting in me not properly being able to reach it. I'm already used to most entrances having steps, but a restroom for disabled people shouldn't. I know for most people this doesn't matter but for us it does ;)

Nice place to sit outside in the summer. However, the fact is that you usually don't have a comfortable spot, or any spot at all, available to sit comfortably outside.

The tables on the waterfront create a very pleasant atmosphere and allow you to enjoy Amsterdam from a different perspective, away from the chaos of the city center. An ideal place for a break, a drink, or something to eat in a young and relaxed atmosphere. The location is definitely its strong point. Overall, a positive and pleasant experience.

A very unique venue, built from metal shipping containers. It has a highly original outdoor area, with tables and a small beach with loungers right on the docks. Lots of locals, very few tourists.

The food was fine (I like the ceviche), and the location, concept were good and fun. However, the service was terrible! Not from one of the waitresses, from pretty much all of them at the restaurant inside. We had to keep calling them, because they wouldn't bring our orders. The food also took really long time, such as 45 min. I'd think 2x before going back there.

The best thing about it is the location and the decor. The menu is limited; there aren't many options.

We experienced the solar eclipse there. Both the service and the food were perfect. The dishes are more like snacks, with a bit of something to go with a burger. For us, that was perfect. If you're looking for a proper restaurant, you should look elsewhere. The staff were really very friendly. The view of the harbor is breathtaking. We'll definitely be back ❤️

Nice place to have a coffee or a meal

The atmosphere is quite unique for Amsterdam, with its beach setting and great outdoor area. Unfortunately, the service was among the worst we’ve experienced in the city so far. While not all of the staff were unfriendly, our waitress in particular made the whole experience very unpleasant. She was visibly rolling her eyes at customers and seemed completely uninterested in making us feel welcome. We were also served a burger with beef that was practically uncooked. When we raised the issue, instead of offering a solution, we were simply told, “That’s our standard.” To make things worse, when it was time to pay, they refused to split the bill, and once again the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. It wasn’t simply about the policy, but the attitude throughout the whole experience. It’s a shame because the location has so much potential. But the whole experience left us feeling that the place has become so popular that good service and basic hospitality are no longer a priority. Very overrated in our experience, and unfortunately we won’t be coming back.

Friendly staff, Great food quality, taste and portion but the place itself need a lot of maintenance as it’s almost full of people, very loud, wear and tear in upkeep , but it’s a different vibe , next to water body and outdoor seating is better than indoor if weather allows

A place to have dinner or drinks with spectacular views

You wouldn't expect it from the outside, but it exceeds expectations. We will definitely go back again.

I visited pllek with my wife on thursday and had a really nice experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We also had a nice small talk with a blonde young man who served our drinks. He was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. overall, we really enjoyed our time here and we will definitely come back!

A lovely spot right by the water for chilling out. The food is exceptionally good and the service very friendly. It's perfect for all ages; the vibe is very relaxed. Kids can play here without disturbing anyone. You can pay by card or cash.

A wonderful family outing. The location is unique, with a large open terrace overlooking the river in a redeveloped former industrial area. The servers were very welcoming. Perfect for a drink and/or a meal in the neighborhood.

We tried the shakshuka, avocado toast, and pancakes. The shakshuka reminded us of Turkish-style menemen, but with chunkier tomatoes and yoghurt on the side. We were not sure whether yoghurt would work with a hot dish, but it was surprisingly delicious. The atmosphere was lovely, and the view over the IJ made the experience even better.

Cool atmosphere, the food was definitely great. Unfortunately, only two of the four drinks arrived… Then the food. When I first asked the server who brought the food, I was told I'd have to ask someone else. Then our "waiter" said – oh, he'd only ordered one more (which wasn't there either), he'd order a second one. Another 10 minutes later, one drink arrived, and when we'd finished eating, the fourth one finally came… 40 minutes after ordering, and the restaurant wasn't even full!

Went there for dinner for the underground, artsy feeling of the entire location and the laid back vibe and was not dissappointed. The food and service were great too and the free ferry trip across the water is well worth it.

Lovely atmosphere excellent service. Our server was called Nas and she was so lovely to chat to and really made us feel welcome. Being by the coast was nice and the beers were good. The food however is just a little disapointing all very heavy and mediocre options. Good to meet with pals for a drink but wouldn't travel all this way for a meal.

We had the opportunity to try the Pan-Seared Haddock and the Black Angus Burger. The restaurant's view is undoubtedly the highlight. To get a table inside, you need a reservation, and to get a table outside, you just have to wait your turn if there are other people there. However, due to the large number of people visiting the place, we had to wait quite a while both to receive our food and to be able to order anything extra. Some of the dishes also seemed a bit small in terms of portion size. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and the view, but it's important to be patient, as service can be slow due to the high volume of customers.

I didn't find any of the dishes that I tried good, but the place is great, and the staff, even with so many people, was super amazing. That said, I would go back if my colleagues want to go and I'd order a basic dish or fries.

The day before yesterday, we went out to Swiss with two friends. Three Angus burgers were served within six minutes. Bone dry and overcooked, I think they must have been cooked by a trainee back in the afternoon. A tiny teaspoon of onion compote; what a disappointment. Normally I would send this back, but we were on our way to Schiphol. We paid €100.00, along with three soft drinks and two desserts, and were on our way again within 35 minutes. Worthless, and it doesn't have to be like that.

Stopped by Pllek for a beer and really enjoyed how easy the whole experience was. Taking the ferry over to Amsterdam Noord was simple, and getting out by the water made it feel like a nice escape from the busier parts of central Amsterdam. I grabbed a beer and relaxed outside with a great view across the IJ. The laid-back waterfront setup gives Pllek a completely different atmosphere from the traditional brown cafés and bars in the center. Definitely worth taking the ferry over if you want a casual beer by the water and a different side of Amsterdam.

Hamburger was cooked on the outside, raw on the inside. Server was friendly but had to chase down 3 different staff members, waiting almost 10 minutes, before trying to pay and leave.

Great food! The haddock was really very good. At first, I thought the price was very high, but the quality was so high that I definitely think it's worth it. The service was nice; the staff kept moving but were sometimes a bit chaotic. But this was just a comment about the restaurant. Outside, there is a super cozy beach that overlooks the water beautifully. You can sit on beanbags, pallets, or lounge chairs. I would definitely come back here again.

We went to Pllek to celebrate a friend’s birthday on the same day as the Netherlands soccer match, so the place was packed. The atmosphere was amazing! They have a great outdoor area with a big screen, which made it a perfect spot to watch the game. Considering how busy it was, we expected long waits for food and drinks, but the service was surprisingly efficient. Everything we ordered arrived without any issues. The beer was ice cold (which is honestly a rare and very welcome surprise in Europe!), and the burgers were absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks, and excellent service, even on one of their busiest days. We’ll definitely be back!

There were six of us celebrating my birthday on a busy summer Saturday evening. We had reserved in advance, but that is only possible indoors. So, earlier that evening, just the two of us went to check out the terrace. There wasn't a single chair, bench, or cushion available. But after peering around at the bar with our ordered drinks, we managed to find a spot on two sunbeds. Eventually, exactly at the time reserved for inside, a spacious picnic table became available. Plenty of room for six people. We were allowed to swap this for the reserved table inside. That was arranged super quickly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After two dishes from a table next to us were accidentally served to us shortly after we were all six and had ordered food, we still had to wait a very long time for our own dishes. After about an hour, we finally received some bread with oil to eat because we were getting quite hungry. Right after that, the dishes arrived at the table and we had a good meal. A vegan request was taken into account. Fortunately, the desserts arrived sooner and were delicious. Despite the crowds, the staff (and the chefs too) did their absolute best to make it a fantastic evening. You need to be patient, because it is very large and busy in good weather. But besides the pleasant atmosphere and good service, it is still a top location.

Pllek is a cozy and friendly place to eat or drink. You can sit inside or outside. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. Still a nice and cozy place.

Super delicious place. The food was extremely good. We tried both the vegan dish, the angus burger, the steak and the haddock (Haddock). Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very much like Refshaleøen in Copenhagen with a street art vibe. The area is also covered in graffiti in several places in an artistic way, with the street art and graffiti museum right nearby. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Amsterdam, perhaps as friends, a couple or with adults/big children. Very cozy.

A spacious bohemian place to hang out, but my food experience left me cold. Six small winglets (not even drumettes) cost €9, a dollop of hummus with pita pieces costs you €10, and the €21 burger was gristly, overcooked and took 40 mins to arrive. Skip the food, just have drinks.

Dont come here . Waitereses harrasses you every 5 minutes to ask if you want to eat anything else . I said no, her face just turns to a bad mood eventhough you are drinking beers at that time . That means eat or go away .

Incredibly bad experience. Long wait times for drinks were the least of the problems; safety was nowhere to be found here. We asked security for help multiple times regarding the situation with fans on the upper floor, but absolutely nothing was done about it. Items from the bar itself were thrown down from the upper floor. As a result, a friend got glass in her face, and another friend and I had a plastic container and multiple pitchers thrown at our heads. Naturally, emotions run high in such situations, but instead of intervening against the perpetrators, my friend, who was fully emotional after getting a pitcher in the face at 'Mach 3', was roughly thrown out of the venue. That was when things really escalated. The location is amazing, but this lack of enforcement and blaming the victim truly crosses all boundaries. A scandalous turn of events for the evening.

If you want to experience a different vibe in Amsterdam, be sure to visit. During the day, you'll enjoy delicious food, including traditional dishes, and in the evening, you'll relax and enjoy the beautiful views. I think this post-industrial use of space is fantastic! There's also a free F4 ferry nearby to the center of Amsterdam, which takes about 10 minutes, and it's also worth taking the ferry to see the sunset, even if only for a short ride. It was a fantastic experience for me.
