It was my 1st time in Ams, and after a good research in Maps and reviews on social media. I found Pluk, and definitely the best option to have brunch in Ams. I would like to give 5🌟 to the team, to the food and the drinks. I love the salmon eggs benedict and their creme brule iced latte with oat milk 🤩❤️‍🔥. Thanks for make the visit to Ams so special. It was so nice that I came back two days.🫶🏽

There were four of us at Pluk Amsterdam, and we sat outside the door. It is such a cozy, intimate spot with a lovely Dutch atmosphere. We started with a first round of sandwiches, water, and tea, and then ordered a cappuccino. Everything we had was really delicious, fresh, and well-presented. What I did find a bit disappointing: you have to order inside at the cash register yourself and pay immediately. Especially considering the prices, I think this is a place where you just want to sit comfortably and place your order with a waitress. The table service also felt a bit rushed. The tray was put down and off we went to the next person. A little more attention and hospitality would have been appropriate there. It is absolutely recommended for the food, because that was truly top-notch. However, the service could match the atmosphere and price level a bit better.

I used to love this place, but oh god the service becoming so so bad and they need to do something about it!! They often get the wrong order, they often bring you sth else than what you actually ordered. They don’t apologies when they do that, and when you ask them to correct it, they act angry or like you’re the one who did the mistake not them!! That’s a pity as this place was one of my favourites in Amsterdam:(

What a terribly boring place this is! Not cozy at all, no atmosphere, no nice decor. It is a beautiful building, so you would expect a bit more from the interior! Especially since Iris shows it all off so beautifully on Instagram. The Caesar wrap was also mega dry and small, unfortunately. We also went to Ree7; the food there was really tasty and the atmosphere was nice. So you're better off going there!

The service is appalling. We came for an afternoon snack and were told there were no more seats. We were ready to order takeout, but they told us they weren't doing takeout because they were understaffed. They suggested we go next door to Pluk. So we went. There, they told us we could only order takeout, that they couldn't make plant-based drinks, even though Ree7 had them but didn't bother to get more. We wanted to order a banana smoothie, and they said they were out of stock, even though the fridge was full. They suggested we go to their third location a few meters away because they were understaffed. We bought some cakes to go anyway: disgusting. The cinnamon rolls weren't cooked inside, the cream was too heavy, and the carrot cake was overcooked. Avoid this place. Other coffee shops are better, like Cloud.

No service at all. Personnel did not want us to eat inside while other people were, with no explanations... we had to fight to stay there. They pretented they could not do smoothie because they were lacking ingredients like bananas despite the fridge was full of it. Run away if you want attention to customers.

I don't understand the negative reviews... The waitress was smiling and friendly. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. The matcha was amazing. It took 15 minutes for our dishes, which were clearly homemade. A bit pricey, sure, but it's in an "Instagrammable" spot in the center of Amsterdam, so it's not excessive.

The staff were not friendly; they looked quite angry. And it took a while before we received our food. And they didn't speak kindly either. We had to order downstairs and carry it ourselves up a staircase where you almost hit your head against the ceiling. If you are 1.75 meters tall, I think you would get a bruise on your head... the stairs were also quite dangerous. I wouldn't let older people walk up a staircase like that. Especially not if you have to carry your own food upstairs. But then you got upstairs and it was super hot. And you were practically sitting on each other's laps, that's how close the tables were. And the stairs to the toilet were exactly the same story.

Good, the tiramisu cookie was tasty, but a bit on the dry side. The iced matcha latte is nice. The service is good, the workers are kind. There are not many tables so you will maybe have to wait a couple of minutes for a table and the tables are very very close to each other which makes going to the bathroom or even moving without bothering the other guests hard. But nice cafe tho! EDIT; Gave it an other try and it was very niceeee!!

First you sit waiting upstairs for a while, and eventually we just walked to the cashier ourselves to place our order in person; that was the plan, she said, that’s how it had to be done. Then I had to get our coffee myself. Another downside is that you can't pay cash there; after that, I waited a very long time for my Caesar wrap and then just walked back downstairs asking where it was. Cash isn't possible, which actually should be possible since it is legal tender. The wait time before you get the food is incredibly long, and... the girl behind the counter was super unfriendly, very haughty, and not exactly sociable either. And oh yes, the price-quality ratio is not in proportion to what you get. It was tasty though! No matter how much I like Iris Zeilstra on Instagram and her nice blogs, she really needs to educate the staff in Amsterdam about what hospitality is. I'm used to something different. It's a real shame about this nice little spot.

I have been to Pluk several times and it is sometimes disappointing. A friend and I ordered the Caesar wrap, but unfortunately, it was not good at all. There was no Caesar dressing on it, and there were very strange pieces of chicken inside, which shows that it is of poor quality. Additionally, it had absolutely no flavor. I would not recommend this, and certainly not for the price. Also, the matcha is always super watery and has no matcha flavor at all. In general, everything is of really poor quality.

Beautiful place to go for a breakfast. Staff were lovely and i enjoyed watching them make up breakfast bowls that looked like a work of art! Would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. We arrived at 9.30am and had a choice of seating upstairs.

I can't think of any other word than worthless. Service is practically nonexistent: you have to place your order at the bar yourself, pick up your coffee yourself when your name is called, just like at Starbucks, but at the full price you would only pay if there had been good service. Moreover, on a Saturday at 12:30, a lot was already sold out. We are really never coming back here.

Came here for a quick lunch but ended up staying longer 🤣 Really nice bagel and açaí bowl 🍇🍯🥯. It was quite busy, so we had to eat upstairs, but it had a cosy café vibe and was a lovely place to relax.

The food was quite good, but unfortunately the service was terrible. The acai bowl wasn't available at noon, and the cashier (often mentioned in reviews) was incredibly unfriendly. It's especially disappointing that, after all these reviews and detailed descriptions of the staff, these people still work here. We won't be coming back.

The burrata and burrata mozzarella salad is put if this world. We had the nicest lunch there. You have to order at the bar and take your drinks to your table. I would say not disability friendly if you have to use stairs as they are very narrow but this wasnt an issue for us. Toilets were very clean also.

We were asked to skip the line and wait at the side for a couple of minutes for our seats, but the staff gave the seats away for the guests who came much later. When asked, the staff didn’t apologise and we had to wait even longer. We could’ve done takeaway instead and not waste time just waiting. The food was decent enough but I’d recommend a different cafe along the street for a better experience.

It is nice cafe and has good sweet and savoury options, but the service is not good and professional. They ask you to take a menu, but never come to take your order. You need to take your food and drinks upstairs on narrow staircase. Staff are not attentive, either… busy chitchatting when customers are at the counter waiting to order.

My experience at this restaurant was terrible because of the staff. Some were very polite, but four girls acted in a racist and offensive manner towards tourists, especially those from the Middle East. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant, and I wouldn't recommend it to Middle Eastern tourists until some of the staff are replaced. They are rude to customers, raise their voices, and behave disrespectfully. I hope the owner reviews the CCTV footage to see the rudeness, the raised voices, and the use of obscene gestures towards tourists. I wish they would receive training at other restaurants like Chun, Interior, The Cutest, Re7, and the upscale and busy Locals. We commend all of these restaurants, except for this one, which is racist and uses offensive language.

This place is VERY overrated. The food is not good and so is the atmosphere + very long waiting time.

We visit various Pluk locations quite often, including in Spain. Today we were at this branch, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. From the very beginning, you didn't feel welcome; it seemed more like it was a nuisance that we were there. We were handed a menu with the instruction that we had to order at the cashier and get our own drinks. Even a glass with the expensive juice seemed too much to ask and was given with great difficulty. Moreover, the juices came from a bottle that was still partially frozen — nothing fresh about it, just straight from the freezer. The food was brought without knives because they had run out. An employee went to get new ones, but that took another five minutes. The food itself was mediocre. The poached eggs were cold and completely hard-boiled. This has little to do with freshness or quality. We actually never write reviews, but this experience really let us down. We felt like we were an afterthought and completely overlooked, especially compared to, for example, Brasserie De Luwte a little further down the road, where you are welcomed hospitably. What a shame, what a shame. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

I really don't get the hype. I went there because it's a huge hype on social media. I really didn't like it at all. The food wasn't tasty at all. Very little space and you basically have to serve yourself. You have to pick up your food downstairs and then go upstairs. The only thing I liked was the matcha strawberry, that was it.

On their media accounts, they portray the drinks as sweet and more like dessert, even though they barely have any taste. Very weird atmosphere; when you walk in, you don't really know what they want from you. Also really expensive. The pastries were tasty, though.

I ordered something from PLUK last week. Something went wrong with the order. It turned out the food could not be made gluten-free. The amount was supposed to be refunded to us by bank transfer. After leaving our details, contrary to the agreement, the amount was never transferred. I have tried calling and emailing, but PLUK cannot be reached by either phone or email. It is really a shame that things are going this way.

Good good and staff. The place is bit cramped with tables placed too close to each other, but the team members who welcome you warmly and serve you with respect, makes it worth your while.

The food was delicious, a bit pricey, but that's what you have to expect if you want to eat in Amsterdam. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic—very peaceful and homey. We didn't have to queue, but if you go later (around 11 or 12), you'll probably have to, as there were people waiting when we left.

I came at 9:45 am to try their hot chocolate and they were acting like they had been working for hours. One waitress literally tried to take my mom’s fork while she was still eating. When my mom said she was using it, the waitress just stared at her, nodded in the rudest way, and walked off. relax a bit before taking it out on customers Definitely not coming back.

Don't go there as soon as it opens, around 9:39, because you won't find much (I would have liked the cinnamon roll and hot chocolate). The hot chocolate is ready around 11-11:30, maybe even later... we didn't manage to get it. The rest of the food is very good, especially the banana bread. I recommend that the café have everything ready when they open.

Myself and my group of friends were really looking forward to visiting Pluk, however when we arrived the lady behind the counter was so rude, we were quickly put off. We asked if we could have a table, she took one look at us and said no you can't sit in but you can take something away. We waited patiently whilst she then let another man from behind us in the queue go in front of us. Her colleague then came downstairs and asked us directly if we would like a table, before we could answer the rude woman serving whispered to her and then we were just completely blanked. We didn't bother with the takeaway. Very disappointing.

Cozy environment with great hot chocolate

So we have traveled from South Africa, saw the hype about the hot chocolate and had to try. So excited, I ordered the classic & my daughter the Biscoff - we took them as a takeaway as they were full. As we walked and sipped through the whipped cream it unfortunately tasted terrible. They were both sour! Not bitter as the lady tried to explain, there was something not right… we ended up throwing them away as we couldn’t drink them 😭 what a waste! Very sad.

Visiting from Canada and heard a lot about this place. Very disappointed with the service, the first day we went they had locked the door early and closed. The second day we tried again mid-day and the door seemed to be locked, however, we could see people inside. Struggled to open the door for several minutes, the staff could see us and ignored. After we got in, they again ignored us for quite some time before acknowledging and taking our order. Very short and cold attitude. Let us try to pay with credit card again and again before mentioning they don’t take this type of card. Got 2 hot chocolates, taste was fine, made out of a premixed powder not melted chocolate.

I've been coming to PLUK regularly for years. The coffee and food are practically flawless. But over the years, the service has deteriorated, and the building itself has become very dingy and downright dirty, especially the stairs and floor. It's no longer a very pleasant place to sit inside. It used to be much better. It's really in need of some renovation work.

The staff (the man preparing the food) was extremely rude before we even got to ordering.

I paid over €25.00 for a latte, a hot chocolate, and two pastries. Unfortunately, the latte was lukewarm, as it had already been prepared while the hot chocolate wasn't being made. The atmosphere is absolutely awful; you wait downstairs in the crowd for your order, and then you practically have to sit on your neighbor's lap upstairs because it's so cramped. This was my first and last time.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy. I definitely recommend the unique cookie-dough hot chocolate.

The manager was extremely rude and accused us of lying for no reason. The place closes at 5, yet when we arrived at 4:41 they refused to serve us. The owners really need to review their staff and how they treat customers. I'm never going to step place in this hole.

Honestly I was really looking forward to this cafe. We understood the place closes at 5pm and we had arrived at 4:45pm, the lady was unwelcoming and didn’t let us enter. We kindly said we arrived on time and if they can let us in as we are not from this area, the lady responded your lying and so you can come tomorrow morning not today. Super rude and unwelcoming. Fix your timing and hospitality next time.

Worst organizing ever! I went to the first branch to see a note “we will serve you at the other branch” so i went there to find another note with we are closed at 4:00 PM???
