Banana bread was super stale which is unfortunate for the very expensive price. Also young lady at the cashier placed the utensil of my banana bread on my plate by grabbing it by the tines 😅

A delicious and large breakfast, the average price per person is €20

Beaten to death cappuccino, carrot cake was still frozen. When my friend returned with the carrot cake, he was treated very disrespectfully, no apology was given and we had to understand that it takes a day to defrost the cakes (I don't think that's our problem). It's ridiculous that they sell frozen cake and then react so antisocially when you say something about it. The staff also started laughing at my friend. Paid 25 euros for two cakes and coffee, plus this behavior. We will never come back.

Would not recommend this place, very rude, it’s self service even though they didn’t mentioned it which left us with cold coffee.

A tiny cozy cafe in the hustling streets of Amsterdam. It has a great ambience, superb coffee and food and a beautiful, warm, cozy and lit up atmosphere. A must visit if you are looking for a great warm place for brunch and coffee.

Excellent food and attentive services We arrived before the cafe open. The chef offered us to sit first and wait for the cafe open at 9:30am. He was very kind and polite. The french toast is a must try. They have also accommodated our request to have all sauces on the side. Will definitely come back next time.

Nice place with lovely christmasy atmosphere, looks great from the outside but very disorganised, with rude and disrespectful staff, high prices, and poor coffee (pumpkin spice iced latte and cinnabon iced latte barely had any coffee or flavour). However, my ratings do not reflect the quality of the food, so perhaps that may be better. Otherwise, the low ratings seem well-justified.

Not sure why the reviews are so bad here. The staff were friendly, the cafe is so cute and the food is delicious! They should definitely have a higher google rating. I had the beetroot hummus and my husband had the same with a few extras. Can’t fault this cute little cafe!

A must try for breakfast. Egg benedict is extremely filling. After you order, you bring the drinks yourself and they bring the food. Find a place to sit first and then order. If you go between 10-11, you will find a comfortable place. It starts to get crowded after 11

Great breakfast. Nice atmosphere. Polite and friendly staff. Coffee is not to the same standard as the meals but acceptable. Weekday mornings is best to sit inside as outside is noisy and busy with cars/vans.

The food is very delicious and the plating is creative. The service is very poor, they need more personnel to be faster and efficient. The space is small but if you go in not a busy hour you have a good chance to find a free table.

Absolutely loved this brunch spot! The presentation was stunning, with beautiful plates that looked like art. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite – a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality!

Way too expensive for what you get. Fresh ginger tea, 4.50 euros. There are 3 pieces of ginger in the tea. Bowl same story, looks nice and tastes good, but the filling is really minimal, little topping and quite expensive. In addition, it is Self-service. You also reserve your own table and have to order at the counter and pick up your own drink. Too expensive, poor quality and service. They also do not accept cash, it is not stated anywhere. Not even on the door. There are already several customers who want to pay in cash and are refused.

Afgelopen zaterdag met mijn man samen Pluk bezocht voor een kop koffie en wat lekkers. Ik kende het van Instragram, maar het is echt overhyped. Je krijgt bij binnenkomst een menukaart mee en je kan boven een plaatsje uitzoeken. Dit zag er rommelig uit. Verder vragen ze je beneden te bestellen. Maar als je (in ons geval) koffie besteld met iets van zoetigheid, krijg je het direct mee. Het wordt dan nog wel voor je op een dienblad gezet. Maar daarna moet je met gevaar voor eigen leven de gevaarlijk smalle rottrap op naar boven. En dat met een dienblad vol! En dat terwijl je dat niet gewend bent om te doen. Met het gevolg dat ik zelf heel boven ben gekomen. Maar dat wel de helft van onze koffies ernaast lagen. Dit was echt geen leuke ervaring. Heb echt doodsangsten gehad dat ik het bijna helemaal over mezelf heen had gegooid. Vervolgens kun je het ook nog eens zelf opruimen in een bak. Nee echt geen Pluk meer voor mij!

I've been coming to Amsterdam every year for the past four years. I discovered Pluk by chance while strolling through the neighborhood and ended up having brunch there the next day. I literally fell in love with the French toast, and since then, I haven't stopped returning and recommending it to everyone I know visiting the city. It was, in my opinion, the best French toast out there. A bit more expensive than other places, but the experience was well worth it. I went back this morning, and it was much less enjoyable—still just as expensive, but less well-prepared and presented. I'm very disappointed.

Cute spot / nice coffee / aesthetically pleasing but service is horrible, bad attitude and rude. Baristas told us to sit upstairs and they would come up and take our order, no one comes, then we go downstairs and they tell us we need to order downstairs. Don’t take Americans Express.

De entourage ziet er gezellig uit, maar helaas is de prijs kwaliteit verhouding beneden peil. Drankjes en lunchgerechten zijn stevig geprijsd. Op zich niet erg, maar als je dan een half uur in de rij moet staan om je bestelling te plaatsen, je drankjes zelf mee naar de tafel moet nemen en je tafel niet wordt afgeruimd, dan is het het de prijs niet waard. Helaas wrs het gevolg van onvoldoende personeel. Volgende keer als we in de Negen straatjes zijn, slaan we Pluk over.

Terrible servicio. Servicio inexistente mejor aún. Ni una sonrisa. Pagué 20 euros por una rebanada de pan con aguacate y una taza de café. Te hacen subir el árbol en una escalera muy incómoda donde están las mesitas. Oh! ¡Y tienes que limpiar tu mesa una vez que termines también! ABSURD. Con tantos lugares en Amsterdam por favor, ve a dar tu dinero a alguien que realmente disfruta servir a los turistas y tratarlos bien.

My visit to pluk was disappointing. The service was rude and unprofessional, and the dishes were dirty. I would not recommend this place.

Very very rude workers and so racist. They didn’t welcome us in the beginning they said there is table then we said we want to order first they said oh it’s occupied; people came after us they told them yes there is table. Second, the when we order scrambled she said we don’t have, we asked the man about the type of egg he is making he said scrambled. All the time she whispers with her colleagues. The food they bring it to everyone up except for us she told us to wait. The utensils are so so dirty. I don’t recommend anyone to come here actually.

The seating area is nice, but everything else was a bit of a let down. My matcha wasn’t blended properly, which is disappointing because I went to PLUK because I’d read another review that said they did a good Matcha. I also felt like my server wasn’t very pleasant. The cafe was empty so I sat at a four seater (not the only one) and she made a point of pulling one of the tables away from me, which is not something I’d personally do when it wasn’t necessary. The cinnamon roll I had was nice, but the vibe was bad, so I wouldn’t recommend overall.

Super sweet little cafe in a great location. The french toast was delicious, drenched in syrup, one of the best I’ve had, and the fruit tasted super fresh. The service was quick and friendly - not as busy in the afternoons. The seating area is on the mezzanine with very steep steps to access. The dragonfruit juice was nice but also a bit strange! Their apple pie had been recommended but wasn’t as tasty as expected. Interesting flavour.. Wouldn’t suggest the tuna bagel tho - was a bit dry and underwhelming, have had better.

We enter as a couple. They see us but no welcome, just say hello or make eye contact, nothing!! We take a seat and wait to be served, but apparently we had to order and pay at the cash register and then take a seat. We only realized that after 15 minutes. In the meantime, they were able to inform us how the system works, but they saw us but did not provide any information. Had they even shown a smile I wouldn't be writing this review, but apparently even a smile was too much for the girls... they could have fun with each other... too bad we lost time there!!!!

Excellent Eggs Benedict, waffles and pancakes. The chicken wrap was mediocre and could have been better though. The strange thing is that customers are expected to carry their drinks up a narrow staircase themselves. Also, they seem terribly short staffed as the girls taking the order at the counter are also preparing your drinks and billing. This takes up time and as a result it took me nearly 15 minutes to wait in line and place the order. Worth a visit surely for the eggs.

This place is so cute and the food was delicious. The service was great and attentive. We came for a late brunch and got seated right away. Definitely recommend for breakfast or brunch.

Recommended by our hotel reception. He wasn't wrong, it's a lovely little cafe served by friendly staff. It was nice to have plenty of healthy options at the end of our trip. Protein and acai bowls, smoothies, fresh fruits and granola toppings. Absolutely delicious and just what was needed.

Super disappointing experience. I ordered the salmon bagel for 15 euro and only could get through 3 bites. It was not fresh, it was soggy and each bite I took, it was dripping. The cucumber inside appeared well past its due by date as it was very soggy.

Very expensive food and very low quality. I ordered cinnamon rolls and they tasted very bad and stale. The coffee was also pathetic and lacked taste and was also watery. Although the ambiance is nice and that’s the only reason people enter the cafe but leave disappointed and sad.

Normally I never write bad reviews, but this one came from my little toe. All in all, I spent €38 on food from a piping bag, cardboard dry pancakes and two drinks. I can understand this being pre-mixed for quick service, but that concept falls apart when your sandwich sits on the counter for ten minutes because there aren't enough staff to serve it. In the future, I will wait outside in a line in rainy weather for 20 minutes for a TikTok-hyped sandwich.

Bad coffee, rude staff, super expensive

Very disappointing - at first they made us sit down before we made an order because of their policy (you have to take a seat so that there would be a table to sit when the order is made - there was plenty of free tables left at this point when we arrived). Then they forgot about my order - while my husband had half finished his breakfast and wanted a coffee, he went to the register to order it and also asked where my food was missing, to which they replied that they simply forgot about it. Moments later I saw (because we were sitting half floor up right above where you can see the cash register and the coffee making spot which was also a place where they made smoothie bowls etc, which is also what I ordered) that a staff member took two different bowls that were filled with lemon pieces and berries that have been sitting there for God knows how long and dumped the content in the dirty dish trey to get rid of it and used them to make the smoothie bowl for me and someone else. She used these dirty bowls for where to put a meal for a customer - did not rinse them or anything 😱 my jaw dropped and I immediately went down there to ask if one of them was for me to which she replied yes. I told her that I saw what she did and her response was priceless - those bowls are not filthy and there is nothing wrong with the way she was making them. I asked to remake it in a clean bowl which she did and at the end of it I ate my meal alone because my husband had already finished his and I have been waited for mine 25min. The food was overpriced and not very good. Staff was ignorant, very uninterested in what they were doing and there was no rush whatsoever to please the customers with their orders. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want a similar 'experience'.

It closes at 5:00 PM, at 4:30 PM you can only order to go. Ridiculously expensive and disinterested and unfriendly staff.

Good mix of sweet and savoury dishes. The pancakes were great. Bit dangerous that you as a costumer (drinks) and the waiters (food) need to carry their orders up on the smallest stair I've ever seen. Hence the three stars on service. On a busy day it can get a little loud

Living in Amsterdam, we all know that the presence of mice it’s a serious problem and an everyday challenge for bar and restaurant. Unfortunately there is not much that ca be done if not keeping the place very clean and few more things. What I have discovered during my last visit at Pluk in Reestraat was a dirty place with fresh fruit left for days as decoration eaten by mice. Staff that doesn’t care about keeping the place clean. The chef cooking in this dirty place. It has been disgusting. I was there for breakfast, I only got a cappuccino to go. A last one.

A long wait for overpriced and mediocre coffee. We didn’t try any food as they said they couldn’t take any more orders. I asked for tap water and they said they only sell bottled water. Well, what can I say. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I ordered French toast with fruit and maple syrup and a chai latte. The chai latte was too sweet for me, the place itself smelled of cleaning products, not coffee. The French toast itself was quite good and the fruit was fresh.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They are very inflexible. I asked for breakfast and they didn't have any more croissants and didn't say anything and just put some very boring toast in its place. Not to mention that it comes with low-quality industrialized jelly and margarine (not butter). It is not cost-effective. Wouldn't go back.

I went there for breakfast the waiter the same girl was in the cashier was super rude and raicist she didn t want me there. I was sitting upstairs. I asked her for the menu i she said to me that i had to go downstairs to look for it. When i went down i ask her for the breaskfast menu and she said they ran out of stuff at 11 am. Not recomended.

We found Pluk via Instagram and thought this was a perfect place to have lunch, but we were so disappointed. Why? It was just dirty: the tables, the floor, the toilet, the cutlery. Messy with dirty dishes and pillows on the floor. Staff was not motivated at all. It was quiet and there was still so much cleaning to be done. Where is the management? The food was tasty, but due to the messy nature of the food, we would not go back and certainly would not recommend it... a real shame because it is a nice concept... :(

Yes, I get it. A lot of people said that this restaurant is sooooooooooo overrated. I went there to check it out. I went alone at 2PM, for a matcha latte and a french toast. Ummmm, it was flawless. Service was good, the dishes were good too! Maybe they're not overrated, they're just famous because the do things properly.

Looked very nice from the outside but unfortunately not a nice experience inside. You first have to sit upstairs and then go downstairs to order, then wait a long time at the counter for 3 coffees and then you have to bring them upstairs yourself with a tray. The cutlery was dirty and no one comes by for service. If you want to drink anything else, you have to turn it off again. Too bad. Coffee was fine, nothing special.

Really nice, small, modern cafe in Amsterdam. We had the best cinnamon rolls there ever. The avocado toast was also super tasty. We also drank a refresher. This was our second time here in the café and we can only recommend it to everyone! :) The prices are a little more expensive. We paid €27 per person for the avocado toast, the cinnamon roll and the refresher. Still, it's worth a visit :)
