Unfortunately, it was closed at 2 pm. That's a shame, as we walked halfway across town. It would have been great if we could check the opening hours online somehow.

Worst organizing ever! I went to the first branch to see a note “we will serve you at the other branch” so i went there to find another note with we are closed at 4:00 PM???

Best matcha I've ever had! 😍 The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered takeout and didn't have to wait long. The avocado and egg sandwich was delicious. When we arrived, there were no seats available.

Food and drinks very mediocre! a very busy place with no enough tables for customers to sit and eat so we had to get our food take away and literally eat it on the sidewalk.. waited more than 30 min for 2 sandwiches and the when we asked the chef if they’re making it he answered very rudely “its very busy if you don’t like it we will cancel the order” too bad it’s a nice with bad management, rude chef and overpriced food that does not even taste good!

The staff behavior was a bit strange. We ordered the most basic option—the plain hot chocolate with no toppings—but were charged one extra euro for no clear reason. After we pointed it out, the staff refunded the €1. While the amount itself isn’t a big deal, being overcharged leaves a very unpleasant impression and negatively affects the overall experience.

The pumpkin loaf is easily the best!!perfectly balanced sweetness, moist, and honestly one of the best cakes I’ve had. A clear 10/10. The Pre-Merry Christmas drink is decent, but nothing special; it tastes like a standard chocolate drink and lands at a solid 7/10. The space itself is very small, with limited seating, so it feels crowded and tight during busy hours. We waited about 15 minutes for a seat but couldn’t get one and had to leave. That said, the food made a strong impression especially the cake, which is worth it on its own.

After watching several videos online, everything looked delicious, especially the chocolate, a signature Amsterdam delicacy. Personally, though, I prefer it thicker. The place is cozy and welcoming, with no table service, making it the perfect escape from the winter rain. A pleasant experience, though not unforgettable.

Everything is fine and dandy, but there's absolutely no service. The menu is handed to you, and you have to pay for it yourself and carry it to your table yourself.

The other reviews are spot on. Unfortunately, we also had an unpleasant experience today, with a mix of racism and rude staff. White people are clearly favored here, so if you have a migration background, I don't recommend it! I came here with my cousin to have a nice day. Upon entering, my cousin politely asked if there was room, but she ignored me. The employee remained on her phone and completely ignored her. Shortly after, two white women asked a question and were immediately told there was room for them. I then went to see if there was room, but there wasn't one. When I went back downstairs, new white guests came in and were helped immediately. Suddenly, there was room for them, and they were immediately given a menu. Normally, I'm not one for labels, but when several white guests who arrived later are helped even though we were there first, it's noticeable.

This is a social media craze, pretty hot chocolates but sickly and gritty texture. It tastes like powdered milk. My kids ate the cream then threw the rest away, waste of money. I ordered regular without cream, got given cream, they did a new one but didn’t refund the difference. Go elsewhere for a good quality and better priced hot chocolate.

The service is truly awful. I've never experienced anything like it, and I regularly go to "hype" places, but this is honestly one of the worst places I've ever been. We walked in, and the employee looked up from her phone, said hello, and then continued to ignore us, even though I asked if there was a place to sit. We stood there at the counter for at least 5-10 minutes without anyone helping us. Mind you, there were tons of people there. I suspect they're a bit racist. Prepare yourself for a bunch of snooty, snotty people. As an Amsterdammer, you definitely won't see me there again, and if you're a tourist, don't come—they're racist.

We ordered the famous hot chocolate, €7.50 is quite expensive, the waitresses seemed a bit overwhelmed. It was still good though.

I ordered and paid for a wrap. Then I was told the kitchen was closed. My account number and name were noted, but I haven't received my money back yet. Now I can't even contact the store anymore.

Rude staff. A shame it’s gotten so “popular” on Instagram and encouraged us to visit for a hot chocolate. Crowded indoors space with unclean tables. Probably not worth the hype.

We had a lovely hot chocolate by the christmas tree. It was very good, and surprisingly big ! Also, the lady is very welcoming and offered us two little slices of cake. A perfect spot to get warm!

Came at 12:00 received our drink whichvare one cappuccino and one amricano at 12.45. 45 min to press a botton on a coffe machine. We received our pancake at 13.15

An absolute disaster. They got our order wrong, didn't bring our food when it was supposed to, and when we complained, they ran out of croissants and served us something else (which we didn't want). Plus, it's disproportionately expensive. We won't be back.

great coffee chef was greek and so nice

The waiters here were rude and unwelcoming. I’m not even a tourist — I live here — and I was shocked. I came at 9:45 am to try their hot chocolate and they were acting like they had been working for hours. One waitress literally tried to take my mom’s fork while she was still eating. When my mom said she was using it, the waitress just stared at her, nodded in the rudest way, and walked off. relax a bit before taking it out on customers Definitely not coming back.

We asked for eggs benedict for breakfast, but they couldn't bring it for 1.5 hours, then they said they made a mistake and made us wait another 30 minutes. Two tables that came after us had already eaten and left in that time. They also make you carry the food. My Turkish friends, definitely don't choose this place.

Large portions, nice flavors, clean

I used to love this place, but oh god the service becoming so so bad and they need to do something about it!! They often get the wrong order, they often bring you sth else than what you actually ordered. They don’t apologies when they do that, and when you ask them to correct it, they act angry or like you’re the one who did the mistake not them!! That’s a pity as this place was one of my favourites in Amsterdam:(

I went out to buy two sandwiches and two coffees. Since I'm not from here, there was a language barrier, but as a tourist town, the least the girl should have done was try to understand the customer's wishes. I wanted everything to take away, she served me the coffees, but one had a lid and the other didn't, and she didn't want to exchange them. Thanks to the guy at the stall who understood me and resolved the issue, in the end I wanted to buy two sandwiches, but she only sold me one. I don't know if you're the owner, but it seems to me you're in the wrong place. I'll buy my snacks somewhere else where they care about understanding foreigners. Nothing personal.

The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the food itself was nice. However, we paid 50€ for two small coffees, a piece of pumpkin loaf, an egg-and-vegetable sandwich, and a slice of toast with avocado and a poached egg — definitely overpriced for what we received. You’re handed your drinks on a tray and expected to carry them up very tiny, steep stairs to find a table. Once upstairs, several tables still had dirty dishes on them, and everything felt extremely cramped. The waiter came up shouting people’s names or plates to deliver food and kept giving orders to the wrong tables, which made the whole experience feel chaotic. On top of that, the music was so loud we could barely talk, and the space felt overcrowded. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for what we hoped would be a relaxed, chilled breakfast.

Extremely disappointing. Should have trusted the reviews and not the influencer content. Got this sad looking pumpkin spiced latte which taste like a watery chai, hardly any flavouring. Wouldn’t recommend.

It used to be one of my favourite places in Amsterdam, but I have the feeling that during the last years the service is not so friendly anymore and a lot of times it’s too crowdy which makes the atmosphere less welcoming.

I order brioche with scrambled eggs, they served me with omlite egg , when I asked the waiter that I asked for scrambled she replied rude reply that this is scrambled eggs!!!!!!!! Please check the photo is it scrambled !!!!! I don’t like her attitude at all , she is very rude person , I can insist to change it but t prefer to be quite , yeh she told me that the chef said this is scrumbled egg , this how he cook it every time oh greeeeaaat chief. Please not that I wrote this review while eating the wrong order , I don’t recommend this place for a tourist , maybe they treat the nation people better .🙂

The brunch was okay, but clearly overpriced for what it was. The dishes were good, but nothing exceptional. The setting is nice, but we expected better given the price. It's a shame, the value for money just wasn't there.

Pretty food, but chaotic system and long waiting times. Also were not allowed to go in the partner place (Ree7), because we had ordered some coffees (take away!) at Pluk to wait for our table. Very unfriendly response, wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely bagels with eggs Benedict ! The drinks were also delicious!! However the plates were a bit smudgy and not clean.

Hipster spot in the heart of the Nine Streets. We had to wait a bit for a seat. You place your order and pick it up yourself, or sometimes they bring it upstairs. Friendly ladies, delicious food!

I ordered an apple pie and an Americano; it was okay, but it was cold. I wished it had been warm. The staff were nice except for one who was a bit moody. I'll definitely go back and try the breakfast again.

It's a shame this place is so overhyped. There are plenty of other COZY spots in Amsterdam. Upon entering, I was greeted somewhat friendly, sat down, and meanwhile two girls (staff) were gossiping about the two tourists sitting next to me. Just because they can't understand you doesn't give you the right to do so; they're incredibly antisocial. I ended up leaving, not because of the amount of gossiping, but also because they preferred chatting with each other to giving menus or taking drink orders. Oh, and I work in hospitality myself; no one here knows what hard work is 😉

The eggs Benedict very good . The apple pie pure perfection . Spiced Pumpkin latte fantastic . The ladies that are working a nice and welcoming . It’s really a nice place to visit and have some nice food and something to drink

Overpriced & overhyped… What a disappointment. We walked in and weren't even greeted kindly. You're sent upstairs with a menu, but you have to go downstairs to order, pay immediately, and take everything up yourself. They also expect you to clean your own dishes? The food was greasy and nauseating. We asked if they could make our meal without ham, but they made a mistake. We suspect they simply removed it later because it was still flavorful. Plus, you pay a lot for this DIY service. Not recommended!

Very much a gamble. Been here before which was such a lovely experience! Staff was helpful, waiting time wasn't too long, great atmosphere and a bit pricey. Today I walked out after waiting for around 24 minutes and the staff was as cold as it could get. Very much a gamble if it will be a good or bad experience.

Pluk lives up to the hype! The shop is dreamy! My Americano was perfect, and I loved the sweet/savory taste of the cinnamon roll - not too sweet which was great! The staff made sure food and drinks got to where they needed to go and got through the line quickly. Only complaint is you don’t have one in the states. ;)

Very very mid. Poached eggs were hard, avocado on toast was flavorless. Service was bland and confusing. The plum lab juice I had was nice tho and the place is cute. Just wouldn’t recommend going!

We work just around the corner and buy some cake regularly. Last time we bought five pieces of cake, but just later in the office saw that there were just four pieces in the bag. The next day we went back to buy some cakes and let them know about the four pieces the day before. The waitress said, well, we cannot proof that we received one piece less. Why should we lie as a returning customer? Very disappointing. You lost us as customers.

Their cafe tastes like supermarket’s cafe, I took there my sister in law and got so ashamed by the quality of their cafe, burned, no-taste no visible foam in the flat white, no latte art, nothing special about this place, just extremely overpriced for what they offer. Horrible service you wait hours and even have to get your own order at the counter.

Dirty tables and disgusting restrooms upstairs Asked one staff about the missing food, she said she’d ask about it then she disappeared, asked another one about it and she gave us attitude for asking where the food we paid for was!

The banana pudding was super dry, the staff was rude and didn't help at all, and it was expensive.

They close at 5pm but I got there at 4:30pm and they weren’t serving anymore food or acai to takeaway….the coffee was horribly burnt I think if you give burnt iced coffee that cost €6.80 then just close at 4:30 not and 5.00pm…

Breakfast was tasty but the bread was very hard to cut into pieces… sharper knives would be very welcome 😅 Staff was fast, kind and helpful 🥰

Poached egg was not poached. It got served on a dirty plate. Drink had an insect inside it and they completely forgot about my girlfriend’s order and just plated 1 dish.

Good food though a bit pricey, but bad bad bad service. We had to wait a long time, they forgot half of the order, did not even say sorry, and when I reminded them ab my order they prepared it and forgot to bring it to my table. Also I had the açaí bowl and it’s ok but, there were barely any toppings and it was really small, which I didn’t expect bc it was 13,50€

The avocado egg bread was large and delicious. The protein bowl was beautifully presented and delicious, BUT the portion was tiny and the value for money was very poor. €14 for five scoops is simply outrageous.

You will find better, i know it. The service was cold and hard to understand, do i have to stay here ? Go upstairs ? I choosed a hot chocolat, wich was almost 5€ but ended up beeing half foam...And dont try the cakes, they are saddly dry even if they are nice looking. Its overpriced...

Very overpriced, not the quality you would expect for this price and location.

We recently visited Pluk in Amsterdam after seeing it pop up all over social media — beautifully styled dishes, cozy vibes, and lots of hype. While it’s certainly photogenic, our actual experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. To start with, you have to order your food downstairs, which wouldn’t be a problem if the staircase wasn’t so steep and narrow — honestly felt a bit unsafe. For a place that gets so much foot traffic, you’d expect a more practical setup. We ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, since my girlfriend is lactose-intolerant. Despite this being clearly communicated and promised, it was unfortunately made with regular milk. Not ideal, especially when dietary needs are involved. The food itself tasted good — no complaints there — but overall, the experience felt more style over substance. It’s a nice backdrop for an Instagram story, but in terms of organization and customer experience, there’s definitely room for improvement.

Overpriced, small portions and miserable service. The hygiene is questionable. Not changing gloves and touching everything with it sounds like a bad concept. Actually the food is eatable but nothing special. The sandwiches’ bread is way too hard and thick. The Dragon Fruit Bowl shouldn’t be considered as a normal portion. It’s too small for 15 bucks.

Today it became painfully clear again: you're not my place—and that starts with the interior. Everything screams form over substance. Anyway, I thought: I won't be deterred. Silly me. I order an iced Americano and an iced latte with regular milk. No rocket science, but immediately a huge amount of confusion. Yet, the question follows: "What kind of milk would you like with your Americano?" Excuse me? Milk? With an Americano? It's clear that the staff doesn't understand much about coffee—really nothing. In the end, I get a latte without milk? The Americano was already adrift. And this isn't a minor mistake; it's a pile of incompetence. The atmosphere behind the bar: chaotic, confused, awkward. As if no one knows what they're doing. And everyone seems to have just finished school—literally, everyone looked 13. Ordering a simple coffee with you feels like a kind of moral test: how much confusion, smart-alecky answers, and mistakes can you tolerate before you simply get up and walk away? I wasn't the only one. Others on the patio had similar problems. People received the wrong drinks, waited forever, or were visibly frustrated. Perhaps it's an idea to give staff a trial period or trial day before unleashing them on paying guests? Or at least explain what an Americano is? I certainly won't be back. There are places that understand both service and style. Pluk isn't one of them.

We had to place our order downstairs at the cash register, after which we had to pay immediately, which was fine. Half an hour later, they brought the food, and only when three of the four of us had received theirs did they tell the fourth person that the chicken was gone and whether she wanted to order something else. Running out of something can happen and is completely understandable, but that's something you should communicate immediately when you discover it during cooking, not just when you're serving the food that can be made. We had to go back downstairs to order the French toast as a replacement, which was cheaper than the chicken sandwich. We couldn't get a cash or card refund for the difference, but instead, we were allowed to choose a pastry, which I'm a bit dubious about. I expected the French toast to be brought quickly, but it didn't arrive until over 30 minutes later, after the waitress asked if we'd received everything, which we hadn't, and by which time the rest of the food had already run out. The food itself was fine, but I thought the way they handled the chicken sandwich that couldn't be made was a bit of a shame :((

Si pudiera darle a Pluk un cero, lo haría. Terrible, servicio lento. Nekisha detrás del mostrador, trabajaba continuamente, mientras su colega bromeaba y se reía con el único cliente sentado, y los otros dos miembros del personal. Pedí dos cafés y un pastel de manzana, que cuando finalmente apareció estaba roto y triste. Costó 7 euros. Pedí que me devolvieran el dinero, y me dijeron que esto no era posible ya que no había dinero en efectivo en las instalaciones. Necesitaba dejar mi número de cuenta bancaria y el dinero se pondría en mi cuenta. Eso fue hace más de una semana y, como era de esperar, no he recibido ningún reembolso. El personal no tiene idea de servicio al cliente - no había ninguna oferta de otro pedazo de pastel, y no se entiende mi queja, o cualquier idea de cómo manejarlo. Y por supuesto no hay disculpas, solo un vistazo e irritación. Hay tantos lugares para ir en Amsterdam, que cualquiera de ellos debe ser mejor que esto.

Por mucho la peor experiencia que he tenido en un café. He aquí por qué: 1 ) No hay espacio en las mesas diminutas 2 ) Servicio impactante - los camareros no toman su pedido ni le traen sus bebidas ni limpian los platos terminados para hacer espacio en las mesas diminutas 3 ) Personal incompetente y comida de mala calidad - Pedí aguacate aplastado con huevos. Por alguna razón, un huevo singular salió 25 minutos antes que la tostada de aguacate. Ni siquiera recibió un segundo huevo. 4 ) El café estaba quemado y no era potable. 5 ) La opción de zumo de limonada en el menú no es más que 2 rodajas de limón en agua tibia. 6 ) La envoltura de pollo contiene pollo crudo y huesos - yum!

Drinks overpriced and rude service. 5.95€ for this drink called « LEMON SQUASH REFRESHER - Lemonade made with lemon and mint ». This is basically tap water (she filled our glasses from the sink in front of me), 3 ice cubes, lemon syrup and a slice of lemon. No fresh lemon juice, no mint. When we asked about it the girl at the counter seemed very annoyed and said she can only offer us some mint to put in the drink. I used to come often but this was the last time.

Servers really impolite and could not care about clients... coffee was very bad and the tables are not cleaned between customers. Don't go here ..
