What a delicious meal! Simply fantastic!

Super friendly Stuff! And the food was amazing good! I had one pastrami, one chicken with satee sauce and one sandwich with ossenhaas. Super good

Quick, friendly service and good food hit the spot. We needed a quick bite while shopping. Staff was excellent.

Friendly staff, though rather forgetful. A hot meat roll with satay sauce... literally a small roll with a slice of fricandeau and a maximum of 2 tablespoons of satay sauce. Nothing more. I've never had such a meager roll. There were no vegetables or anything else. The satay sauce was served in a paper cup. It seemed rather cheap and terribly inconvenient.

Sometimes it bothers me so much that I can't help but write it off. I live in Amsterdam and am coming from Baarn on the A1 today, so I drove miles out of my way to Popov just for the chicken satay. The fact that the quality, but not the price, of the chicken satay has significantly deteriorated, that the cappuccino tastes more like milk than coffee, that there are plenty of staff (TikTok generation) around but they don't seem to care... not acceptable, but so what. Here's the thing: I asked for a small amount of boiled water so I could warm up my dog's fresh meat (5 kg). I repeated this three times, and yet I still received a full cup. When I went to pay, I was told I also have to pay for a cup of hot water. I can't really blame the TikTok generation for something they haven't learned—like customer-focused and service-oriented communication—but when two grown young men—who should be acting as role models for them—misbehave by reprimanding me, a 55-year-old customer, making small talk in my presence, and acting like they're doing me a favor, I'm going to fall down! Popov, you haven't been what you once were for a long time. The cup of hot water overflowed the bucket today. You won't see my face again, at least not anymore.

On the way back from our trip, we decided to stop at this shopping center for lunch. This restaurant caught our eye and we walked in. It was very busy, and we sat upstairs, where it was quite warm. Despite the crowd, we were quickly helped with drinks. After about 20 minutes, lunch arrived: an Italian tuna melt roll and a focaccia with beef tenderloin. We really enjoyed it! We found the beef tenderloin sandwich a bit pricey. I've never paid 21 euros for a sandwich before. Despite the quantity and delicious flavor, we found the price-quality ratio poor. Otherwise, the sandwich is highly recommended!

Popov exudes tranquility and has friendly, service-oriented staff. And a wide selection from the drinks buffet.

We used to come here regularly, and it was truly amazing. Now it's just plain expensive, and the service is downright terrible. We had a club sandwich for 21.60. Because nothing else came with it, we ordered fries separately. Initially, we received a completely different order (satay). Then the club sandwich arrived, but the fries were forgotten. The fries only arrived after the sandwich was finished. We were still eating the fries when our plates and cutlery were taken away. Only the basket of fries remained, and we had to eat from the basket with our hands. Truly overpriced for what you get.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, but the chicken turned out to be raw. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning as a result. I tried several times to call them, but there was no answer. My two emails were also never answered. Don't order chicken from here; be warned.

Faded glory. No alternative to milk in your coffee oats or otherwise. A simple white pistolet, fell apart. Perhaps a shortage of kitchen staff.

Had a sandwich. To be fair, Popov in Amsteveen used to be a bit pricey, but what I got this time was an omelet with a bit of lettuce and cheese on a tiny baguette. Three bites and it's gone. It used to be packed, but now it's half empty on a day when everyone has a day off. That speaks for itself. Overpriced and far from special. The staff was friendly, and the interior looks nice, hence the three stars.

Ordered a sandwich + poffertjes several times. It's delicious and well-filled every time! Today it all took a little longer, so I called to find out where the order was. Friendly service and excellent help. And most importantly, sandwiches were still tasty!

I had to indicate twice that something was wrong with my order. Then I'm not going to report it for the 3rd time, so I took 1 bite and felt sick as hell. I was still allowed to pay the full amount of this sandwich. What an incredibly disgusting place and poor service!!! It's certainly not what it once was. I will never come there again and advise everyone to have something to eat at the catering establishment next door instead of at Popov👍🏼

Cosy, not too expensive and good service... for years

Popov is a restaurant where you can eat without too high expectations, but it probably won't blow you away. The food was tasty, but not special; the kind of dishes you expect at an average cafe. What we immediately noticed was the crowds. Although that is often a good sign, it unfortunately also created a noisy atmosphere here. It was difficult to understand each other well, which made dining a little less pleasant. From the outside, the restaurant honestly doesn't look very inviting. But once inside we were pleasantly surprised by the interior, which was warm and atmospheric. It was clear that more attention has been paid to the furnishings than you would think at first glance. A big plus is that Popov was the only restaurant on the street that was open before 12 noon. That makes it a convenient choice for an early lunch. All in all, a place you can stop by if you're in the area, but probably not a restaurant you'll come back for specifically.

De cappuccino’s waren prima. Het broodje en de sandwich waren ok van smaak. What you see, is what you get. De afzuiginstallatie werkte niet zoals het zou moeten. In de hele zaak hing een frituurlucht. Ook onze kleding ruikte hiernaar. Daarom een punt aftrek bij onze beoordeling. .

Nice place to eat and drink, when the weather is nice there is a large terrace outside. Actually always busy.

They don't want to use the terrace because they don't want to be too busy and would rather not make money. How rude!!!

A household name in Amstelveen, always class, and a banana!

Sandwiches are good. I only miss the regular soft buns with beef sausage/filet American etc. Something like Broodje Dobbe bv

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace. Enough spots in the shade. The employees were friendly and attentive. The terrace was quite full, but our order came through quickly. The tuna salad sandwich was delicious.

They said the food was Nomu Tsugo and the sauce was free, but when I asked for ketchup, they didn't tell me if it was Euros, and just gave me whatever they could get my hands on, and then charged extra for everything. Don't come here again.

We had a nice meal at Popov, the children's menu was nice, our daughter liked the food. Restaurant consists of ground floor and first floor. The atmosphere on the top floor is less than downstairs, which is also often the case in restaurants. Service is top notch, friendly and professional. The warm chicken roll could have had more greens and herbs. Arugula or lettuce or something.

Waitress who helped us today on the outdoor terrace with a bun in was super friendly and helpful! Always nice to be somewhere with friendly staff.

Popov claims to serve the best Hamburgers in town so we gave it a try. My wife ordered the Club Blt and I ordered the Mega Hamburger which were both very good and well served in a nice environment. All in all a very good expetience

Went here for lunch today, where we have been coming here for years, the service has really deteriorated... With the high point of paying 3.00 eu for 2 slices of dry bread, the fact that you charge money for it is fine, but the bread was dried out and 1.50 eu per slice for embarrassing questions..!! For 3.00 euros you can buy a whole loaf of bread, I also ordered an egg roll... They don't see me here anymore, which was a shame, it was always a good place..

If possible, we stop at Popov to enjoy a delicious half-eat sandwich and pickled meat sandwich. And it is enjoyable. Top location!

We have been here several times, but today we were a bit disappointed. I ordered bacon, but as you can see in the photo, it had not been baked long enough... Furthermore, (in my opinion) too much bacon had been put on the bread, making everything very salty. Let's just say the cook wasn't having his day.

Hier op het terras beland voor een drankje. Er ging meerdere keren iets mis met de bestelling. Snack die niet kwam, drankjes die niet compleet kwamen. Erg rommelig en chaotisch. Er leek geen structuur in te zitten. Personeel wel vriendelijk en terras prima.

Gietenkaas salade is een bord met groen en 2 stukjes brood met een paar stukjes tomaat. Dressing was niet aanwezig. Prijs is net geen 16 euro. Schande om dit je gasten te serveren.

A cafe where you can stay for a long time with a casual atmosphere. At lunchtime, when the lower floor was full, we would direct people to the upper floor. The restroom is on the second floor, on the right hand side after going up the stairs, and is clean. I've been wanting to drink beer since morning (lol). It wasn't on the cafe menu, but I was able to verbally order 3 beers and fries. It was a reasonable price at around 15€.

I ordered a grilled ham sandwich. I got a warm ham sandwich. I was surprised. I told the waitress that I had ordered a grilled ham sandwich. (I don't like hot ham.) She agreed and said that this is the sandwich. However, when paying, the cashier mentioned our order and said, among other things, hot ham sandwich. ??? I think you should adjust the map. Warm ham is not the same as grilled ham.
