We ate pizza here. It was well-topped and very tasty. One of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. The service is also very friendly. As far as we are concerned, this restaurant is highly recommended.

I ordered a caprese pizza, it was delicious! I recommend it to everyone.

Good food with very friendly service!

We actually found out about this place through reviews and were pleasantly surprised. All the tables were occupied by 6:20 pm, so we took a seat at the bar. The wait was worth it. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and my pizza was delicious—not soggy at all, but nice and crispy with a thin crust. We highly recommend it.

Me & my husband were at this fabulous family restaurant 14 August 2026 late we were the only couple that arrived late and ordered 2 pizzas oh my!! I'm letting everyone know from Paris to Sweden & Danmark / Barbados Porto Fino pizza 🍕 is the absolute 💯 best tasting pizza we have had!! The atmosphere 👌 😍 I just adore this restaurant I zaandam . I leave my wellness spa chef job to work for this family anytime 😊 🙂.

The food here is truly amazing! Every time I come here, I am more than satisfied. Never disappointed, and I am a picky eater. If you happen to be near Zaandam, I recommend Portofino 100 percent! I really have nothing to complain about. Child-friendly and a beautiful open kitchen.

A little Italian treasure trove! Tucked away in a cozy side street is this little gem. The place oozes family-run charm, good energy and lots of life. We were greeted by the most welcoming and smiling staff, and it was a pleasure to see the chefs happily joking with each other in the middle of the busy hour. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere – highly recommended!

I received terrible service. I waited 25 minutes for a Coke and a Sprite. Not once was anyone asked how the food tasted or if we wanted anything else to drink. We also had to wait 20 minutes for the bill. Bizarre.

Very cozy and atmospheric restaurant! The staff is incredibly enthusiastic, and some are Italian and sing in Italian 🇮🇹 The price of the food is very reasonable (we ended up paying a bit more due to the bottle of wine and slightly more expensive dishes); for €20-30 per person, you can have a great meal out here! The food is great! Tasty wines and a limoncello to finish! We will definitely be back!

The pizza was very good and the lasagna was fantastic! The pasta was good!

The staff is friendly and the place is often busy. As a result, they are unwilling to take custom orders. So they won't do something simple like having half your pizza with tuna and the other half with salami. The pizzas have a thin, dry crust and taste good. They are a bit ordinary in taste, though, especially after visiting pizza places. The price is fine and the service is good, with clean glasses and cutlery. The calzone is highly recommended!

Last Saturday was the nicest place my wife and I have been to in ages. The staff are incredibly friendly and cheerful; they clearly all enjoy working there. You can tell that from the food as well. Everything is clearly freshly prepared and homemade. Very fresh carpaccio, or lasagna with obviously fresh lasagna sheets. The pizza is also a true delight with a very good and tasty crust. The place is also incredibly cozily decorated and looks beautiful. The open kitchen is also nice to see how the chefs work there with pleasure. In short, a fantastic place where you can eat very well. You don't come across places like this very often. Highly recommended!

Pizza and spaghetti were delicious. They do not have tap water?! Staff are friendly and nice. It would be much nicer if they would had some sea food options!

What happened here? Different owner? Different management? Before the fire, we enjoyed coming here or ordering from here. I don't know what has changed, but not much is left of the friendliness and caring nature that Portofino used to have, or at least radiated. It was admittedly the first time after the fire, but also the very last.

I won't be ordering anymore for the time being, because things keep going wrong. The food is delicious, so I would still go to their restaurant. But delivery is not their strong point at the moment.

I ordered a pizza and a cola and was told I could always call back for a new one. I just called because things went wrong back then, but nothing is noted down and the lady wishes me a nice evening and can't do anything. Not polite.

Wonderful place for Italians in Zaandam, Italian music, divine food, and good wine and not to mention the delicious pizza.

I went there to order and pick up. We had ordered online six months earlier. Even though we had an order number as proof and could show in our payment app that we had paid, the initial response was negative: we hadn't ordered anything, because they hadn't received anything. By then, two hours had passed since we had ordered. Since we eventually refunded the amount we paid, we decided to give it another try. We used to always have delicious meals there. Once home, it turned out the calzone was undercooked (always a bit moist on the inside, but now the dough was truly raw). The pizza caprese was topped with very thick, clumsy slices of tomato with very thick, unmelted mozzarella underneath. The pesto was bland. A very clumsy, wet, and bland pizza. The pasta alla Boscaiola was very salty and the pasta was quite al dente. Apparently, the chicken instead of bacon didn't work out; this wasn't mentioned. We threw half of it away, only realizing later that we should have taken photos of it. All in all, no more Portofino for us…

What a disgrace if you just want to have a nice evening out for dinner. The service is simply terrible; their only goal is to get as many people seated as possible. And preferably to have 2 or 3 sittings, which makes the service downright awful. But what is even worse is that when you order Burrata in an Italian restaurant, you don't get a creamy, smooth cheese, but Mozzarella; downright scandalous. The food itself was fine, and on top of that, a night of heartburn completes the picture. No, never eating here again.

We had a super delicious meal, everything was well organized and taken care of. Extensive menu and delicious food. We will definitely come back again.

Nice pizzeria, highly recommended

After seeing Instagram videos, I made a reservation here with a group of friends. The atmosphere and service were fine, but for someone who has been to Italy often and has also eaten good Italian food in the Netherlands, it was a disappointment.

Specifically picked this Restaurant because my girlfriend kept begging me to take her here as she grew up in this restaurant . Once it was fully restored after it was burned down, I decided to surprise her for her birthday. Kind staff helped me surprise her by putting flowers by the table before we even walked in. Will be back

Ate at Portofino on a Wednesday for the second time; it was delicious once again. No pizza this time, but something from the oven. Soon it will become a tradition to grab a bite here on Wednesdays.

Hadn't been there for at least 15 years! But really great, same flavors, dishes, and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come more often now that we live so close again! Glad you are open again!

Portofino has been completely renovated and is now really cozy, with good food and lovely people.

Entering this restaurant feels like entering a different world. The interior design is fantastic! Definitely a hidden gem in Zaandam. The food is decent, but I feel like they kinda neglecting the presentation part. The pictures don't do the justice.

Today we ordered from portofino where we ordered a pizza hawai and only pineapple was on it. When we called about this the woman on the phone said that this is normal with them and that this is described online. After looking again this was described in the small print but for someone who always orders pizza hawai you assume that this is just with ham otherwise it is just a pizza pineapple. We also received a pasta where the sauce had curdled so it was no longer edible. I am also not happy with the pizza tonno soft base and the crust was just tough and not crispy baked. I was a huge fan of porto fino but you will not see me here anymore quality has gone down very badly

I've eaten a lot at the Rozegracht branch. They offer everything from pizza to meat dishes. Now I've ordered pizza from the new Zuiddijk branch.

Ordered over Lieferando for delivery to my place. In the end, I waited 2 ½ hours and had to drive there myself, only to find out that in my salad was a whole napkin and the salad tasted dry + the pineapple pizza tasted awful (all 3 pizzas were kinda burned). Definitely don't recommend

What a pity that the carbonara was almost impossible to taste due to the mega amount of spaghetti. We were used to that differently!

Great pizza, but if there's something wrong with your order, you can investigate further. I received a smaller pizza than I ordered. I emailed and called. They said they'd call back, but no response to emails. No compensation, nothing.

I was helped over the phone by a very sweet woman, and the delivery driver was also very friendly. And the food is delicious. Creamy pasta, pizza with plenty of tuna, the soup was delicious, as was the bread with herb butter. I even got a bottle of wine on the house!

I always order calzone Gorgonzola, with chili pepper. This one is FANTASTIC. Delicious crust rubbed with garlic and oil. Unfortunately, things sometimes go wrong with the order, but this is always handled properly.

As always delicious, ordered again today to pick up. We just couldn't get there because of Dam to Dam. I called and the employee was kind enough to meet us at the Zaan Theater where we were standing. So the service was great again. definitely see you next time.
