Loved it! We didn’t really know what to expect. We went with two children. People were really nice, food delicious (I had the tagliatelle parmigiana) would definitely go again!

The food is good, but we waited over an hour for our food. They're overwhelmed with work and keep delivering pizzas. They should serve the people in the dining room first and stop taking delivery calls.

However, what only became clear to me later is that this dish had previously been served to another customer, who had already eaten it. Although I gave permission to exchange it, I was not aware at the time that it was a dish that had already been touched - something I would of course not have accepted if I had known this. To my surprise, at the end of the evening the full amount was simply charged, without any compensation for the confusion or the hygienically undesirable situation. I would have expected at least compensation or sincere apologies. Hygiene and customer friendliness are important values ​​for me as a guest, and I hope that you will take this signal seriously. During Hoornse Stadsfeesten after a drink on a terrace we spontaneously decided to eat at Portofino. We could go straight away. Despite the crowds because of the Hoornse Stadsfeesten we were helped very well and had a delicious meal!

Had a very nice pizza and risotto pollo tonight. It smelled nice when we walked by and the atmosphere looked good, hence the choice to eat here. The service was also very friendly, so we will definitely come back again!

Typical tourist trap. Great location but not much else. Service was inattentive and the food was not good. My bruschetta had dry crumbly bread that was also burnt with warm mushy tomatoes on top. My pizza tasted like canned tomatoes and salami from the supermarket around the corner. Missing all the passion and love for food I expect from an italian restaurant.

We went there for pizza today and were very satisfied! Delicious food, friendly staff, and homemade limoncello is a dream! We'll be back!

I invited my parents to Portofino yesterday, and they were thrilled. The pizza was amazing, the pasta fantastic, and the tiramisu was divine. The owners, Pierpaolo and Maria, are very friendly and welcome every guest like family. A piece of Italy in the heart of Hoorn. 5 stars from me, for sure!

⭐ 8/10 I tried the pasta alla Vernaccia at this restaurant in Horn and I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. The dish was well made, with a tasty and balanced sauce. The taste of the wine was noticeable, although delicate, probably adapted to local tastes. The pasta was cooked al dente and everything was very well seasoned. The service was friendly. Fair prices for the quality offered. Overall, a good Italian interpretation, recommended if you are in the area and want something different from the usual. 📍 Recommended!

You can already smell the delicious smells outside. Once inside, it is an Italian cozy atmosphere. The food is better than expected and the owners are super friendly and always up for a joke or a nice conversation. A real recommendation in the old center of Hoorn!

If I were you I would never order a pizza here I ordered a pizza with chicken here last Friday and it made me very ill until Sunday when I started vomiting and had diarrhea (food poisoning)

I ordered a takeaway pizza but the bottom and the edges were burnt (black) and there were missing ingredients. it happened a few times. It used to be the best pizza in the area, now I will never come back here. The service is very nice 👍

We walked into the restaurant and felt like we were in Italy. There was a cozy atmosphere and we were served kindly in Italian / Dutch. The pizzas were very good, perfect base and well topped. The dessert Torta di Cioccolata was also delicious!! Thanks Portofino for the delicious food and the limoncello😋 we will definitely come back.

If you travel to the Netherlands, be sure to visit Hoorn, even better if you change Amsterdam for Hoorn, and it is a must-visit restaurant run by these real guys, who speak "...a little..." of Spanish, who do everything possible for you to have a good time, and have excellent treatment with their diners. I know that the idea is not to go to Holland to eat Pizza, but believe me when I tell you that a moment in this tano makes you feel at home for a while, and it is very good. If you order Parmesan Pasta, get ready for the show!

Had a delicious onion soup here and enjoyed the special coffees. Everything is well organized and the service is very friendly. I'll definitely go back again.

Great restaurant and food, lovely, friendly service, perhaps a tip on what to do about the acoustics? The table next to us with a large group was already very loud, the service itself also moved in, so I think they were familiar and there was something to celebrate, that can happen, but in combination with the acoustics of the building I sometimes had to close my ears and saw other guests do this too, and sometimes I could not hear my own group. Maybe put down some carpet or hang something on the walls?

I have always eaten a good tiramisu here. but yesterday I ate the most disgusting tiramisu of my life.

I ordered tris bolognese which stated that it should be halal. Unfortunately there was just pig in it. I was then told that this would only involve the bolognese sauce and that lasagna is always prepared with ham, but how would that be halal if it is served together? I wanted my money back, but that is not so easy via home delivery, which is understandable but very annoying. If you eat halal/do not eat pork, I would not order or eat here.

I ordered a pizza fungi, it arrived cold and with holes in the box with extra mushrooms, so I called, got new ones, no extra mushrooms on them and called again for money back to get the extra mushrooms that I had to pay back and that was sorted out.

When you order they are 45 minutes late. Called twice and dismissed with the excuse: they are on their way... but no one is on their way. Cold pizza finally delivered!

A few weeks ago we had dinner with family from Australia. The first time for us but certainly not the last! The food was really delicious and the team is super hospitable and pleasant. Great evening see you soon!

We had a bite to eat at Portofino in Hoorn. I must say that boy from Italy is such a nice young person and he does his best! I thought the food itself was a real disappointment: a dry, burnt lasagna and I had the chef's tenderloin, but that was also really small and tired with 2 bags of sauce in plastic. And you pay 28.50 for it, which is really anti-socially expensive…. But for us this was really the last time...

Order an hour before closing time, an hour later the order will be canceled, do not let people order if it is not delivered, very bad

If the food is delivered and arrives on time, it is very tasty. Unfortunately, I have now had a bad experience with delivery and service twice within a short period of time. The first time I ordered two lasagnas, but after an hour of waiting there was still no delivery person. When I called, I was kindly helped by a nice lady. She apologized, arranged a refund and tried to resolve the situation properly. I really appreciated that. The second time, however, was very different. I ordered two tiramisu, but after waiting more than an hour I decided to call again. This time I was helped by a girl who initially claimed there was no order. Then I heard her say out loud to a colleague: “Yes, I don't know, she is calling.” Not very professional. Finally she said the order was “coming soon,” but by now it was already 10:15 PM and we didn't want the tiramisu anymore. When we asked to cancel, she said that was not possible because we had ordered via Thuisbezorgd. Last time a colleague was able to arrange that, but she seemed unwilling to put in much effort. Finally she said half-heartedly, “Oh, okay, well, it'll be fine.” In short, the food is very tasty, but the service leaves much to be desired. In particular, the attitude of the staff when problems arise could really be improved.

Wat een enorm gore pizza! Heb langer dan 2 uur zitten wachten op mijn bestelling. Pizza’s waren koud en niet te eten! Belachelijk dat jullie dit durven te verkopen.

Dit is een goed en gezellig restaurant, waar we erg lekker hebben gegeten! De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en goed lachs. Mijn vrouw en ik hebben genoten van het heerlijke eten! Ik heb daar onder andere spaghetti Parmesan’s gegeten, dit is absoluut een aanrader!

I ordered pizzas for the 2nd time this year. The first time they came way too late and were cold and the sauce was missing. This happened again the 2nd time. I called and was told it was too busy. It's not my problem that it's busy. Then you have to plan better. I deliberately order in the afternoon, because my husband is diabetic, so that he can eat on time. Another pizza delivery person will be contacted politely if it gets late.

Zowel bezorging (via eigen site) en ter plaatse eten. Het is heerlijk. Bij bezorging soms wel karige pizza’s maar dat maakt voor de smaak niet uit. Heerlijk klein tentje met een groot hart.

Allora... avevo prenotato da mesi dicendo che fossi celiaca. Al nostro arrivo, nonostante sul menù fosse indicata l'opzione senza glutine, NON avevano né pasta, né pizza. Scelgo un risotto ai frutti di mare... e trovo all'interno il surimi!!! Mi blocco e chiedo spiegazioni. Mi rifilano una storia assurda sull'abbattimento del pesce escludendo pertanto il glutine (???) (il surimi viene fatto con lo scarto dei pesci). Il risotto aveva inoltre un retrogusto di aceto (anche mio marito lo ha mangiato). Due stelle per la gentilezza e simpatia... anche se al ristorante si va per mangiare bene!

Food was fine, but service was terrible. The girls did a good job, but a long-haired, lanky boy was a disaster. The best man can't really handle criticism and was a bit irritated. Don't mind having to wait longer for your food. Was busy because of the fair and they ran their legs out from under their bodies. But serving a drink shouldn't be that difficult. Forgetting once makes no difference and can happen, but the second time it is simply dramatic. But put it on the receipt. Reported to a female colleague and the receipt was adjusted. The long-haired bastard comes back annoyed from here's your receipt and thunders it down. Didn't tip a cent and I won't be coming back here again. A shame because the food and the rest of the staff were not to blame. But that long-haired guy was like a red rag to a bull. 🤡

Waiting time for the food is far too long. Starter was delivered after about 45 minutes (2 mixed salads, 1 carpaccio, then another more than 45 minutes for the main courses (2x pizza, 1x spaghetti). Not acceptable for me.

We received fantastic help from Raphael! And what an excellent card. The pasta Parmagiana was unsurpassable, delicious full glasses of red wine, scampi, salad burrita, homemade tiramisu, an espresso and limoncello to complete it! Sowohl die Pizza, als auch die Pasta als Parmegiano waren geschmacklich absolut in Ordnung. Herausragend war nicht die Geschwindigkeit, aber die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Meine Kinder haben es geliebt. Preislich alles in Allem in Ordnung. Wir hatten einen amüsanten Abend und würden wieder kommen.

Wat een super leuk knus restaurant, met me gezin komen lunchen. De menu kaart is ontzettend groot dus voor ieder wat wils. Heerlijke Pasta alla Parmigiana wat voor je bereid word in de Parmigiaanse wiel en zoveel keuze’s van Pizza en andere Pasta’s. Italiaanse medewerkers ook wat het gevoel geeft alsof je in Italië bent. Super leuk terras aan het water in de stad. Meer dan de moeite waard om langs te komen.

De loin le meilleur restaurant depuis une éternité, accueil spontané, et chaleureux. Nous avons eu du mal à choisir tellement tout était tentant. Saltinbocca inoubliables, accompagnés de pâtes à l'ail, et risotto Al tartuffo. Avec un vin italien conseillé par un serveur averti Un feu d'artifice de saveurs, parts copieuses. Faites le détour, la campagne hollandaise vaut aussi le détour.

Ik had mail gestuurd om te reserveren. Niet op gereageerd. Ik heb net gebeld en krijg een persoon aan de lijn die alleen Italiaans spreekt en begreep totaal geen Nederlands waardoor we niet tot een reservering zijn gekomen en ik verbinding heb verbroken.

Delicious food! Authentic Italian cuisine, right here in Hoorn. Cozy atmosphere, nice and smooth (Italian!) service. We came in on Saturday evening around 7:30 PM and the restaurant was pleasantly full. The service was busy, but we were seated and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Food was just okay. We will definitely have to come back again to taste the rest of the dishes! Un po' d'Italia authentica qui in Hoorn!

We went last week and had a great experience. We had lots of fun interacting with the waiter, and the food was really good (especially the meat dishes). The wine was nice as well. The weather was inviting and so we were able to have dinner outside by the canal.

After King's Day we felt like having pasta, so we ordered it via the home delivery app. What I got was just plain spaghetti, soaked in olive oil with a few pieces of pepper. It looked like soup with the amount of oil in it. I don't understand why you have this delivered.

Handmade food. A little underseasoned. Unfortunately the waitress wasn't dressed appropriately (dirty clothes/unhygienic). Ambiance was not clean and unfortunately the glasses on the outside were dirty. But the food was tasty and the portions were good.

Such a lovely authentic restaurant. Great food and excellent service with a smile and complementary limoncello from our waiter Christian. Will definitely come again.
