Good atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food, very affordable.

The food was amazing and fresh. Also the atmosphere was really nice, the real Italian feeling in the middle of Hoorn! Special thanks for our friend Cristian that did a great job entertaining us :)

We were 3 people. The three Pizza were decent. Dessert 1: homemade chocolate cake tasted and looked exactly like the one from Hema. Dessert 2: lemon cake with ice cream was delicious. Dessert 3: sundae, where the ice cream had completely melted under a mountain of whipped cream to cover it up. Gave it back and they said they couldn't do anything about it because it was so hot and that's why the freezer wasn't working. Tip: buy a new freezer or don't serve ice cream.

After ordering starter and main course more than 60 minutes still nothing on the table. Very sloppy.

Delicious food. Pasta is freshly made, prepared with care. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back. Really enjoyed it!

If you are looking for good Italian food don’t stop here . When We visit this place the restaurant was almost empty and we wait 45 minute to get our pizza that frankly speaking it was not good. Nothing is Italian in this restaurant . Niet aangeraden !!

A very good Italian restaurant with delicious dishes

Frustrating experience. Well done to the two young waiters who at least made an effort but the management in general appeared disoriented and unprofessional. Over 45 minutes long for 3 pizzas (empty restaurant) and finally, little empathy from the pizza chef who didn't even try to hold us back or at least apologize for the delay... A suggestive invitation to leave and we understood the message (lol). Unfortunately ours at Portofino; an experience not to be repeated.

Even though we were the first guests of the day, we had to wait over an hour for our food. The pizza was burnt, dry and barely edible. Never again!

Ordered pasta vongole and lasagna. After waiting 1.5 hours for our food, we were disappointed. Pasta was a normal portion but the lasagna was really minuscule. We have been ordering here for years and the portions were always large, but in recent times the lasagna has become smaller and smaller, half of which was tomato sauce, see photo. I had to make another sandwich after dinner because it wasn't enough. It's a shame that I spent 30 euros on this. Previous times we also had to wait too long for portions that were too small. After a complaint we were offered a new portion, but apparently it is structural. No more Portofino for us.

Very good service, a family restaurant, everything was delicious and the prices were very good. The owner is the one who prepares all dishes and pizzas with great care. So we will definitely come back

Very unqualified service... everyone!! We ordered the food at 4:30 p.m. and received it at 5:30 p.m. There was only one table occupied outside and only two people at the table inside. Only after we complained. The food came 10 minutes later. Gambas with salad and fries (French fries only after another 10 minutes, salad didn't come at all), spaghetti in Parmesan cheese, the employee should ask an Italian how to prepare this specialty in a parmesan wheel and tomato sauce is not enough as a sauce. The waitress should also know that you don't serve pasta with a knife and fork🙈18.90€ absolutely overpriced... poor quality for a lot of money with poorly trained staff. The restaurant is not recommended!

Portofino is no longer what it used to be. Waiting 45 minutes for your starter, staff who have not been trained properly and are not concerned and many people who have to wait for their food. The food is fine, but we won't come here again. Pity.

I recently ate here with my children and the atmosphere and staff were fantastic. And also for a good price, I definitely recommend this place.

The food was tasty, but the service left much to be desired. At first they didn't remember what we ordered. People who came in after us received their main course earlier. Then they forgot the drink, we had to ask again. We won't eat here again.

We had reserved a table and were looked at very strangely when we arrived at the restaurant, after which the waitress simply turned around and left. Until the next person came and assigned us a table. We ordered a large bottle of San Pellegrino with our meal and received a completely different water. The waitress put the bottle on the table and said "San Pellegrino"! It said: Ferrare - so it has nothing to do with Pellegrino. Unfortunately, the food couldn't make up for the suboptimal service; it was rather average. At the end we received a lemonade on the house. Unfortunately the Limocello was a mixture of honeydew melon and eggnog or something like that... the same phenomenon as the San Pellegrino - one has nothing to do with the other. Such beautiful restaurants on Roode Steen and we hit one where the team apparently had a bad day. We had a table reserved and the heel was ready to be served to us at the restaurant, so the server was served in the kitchen. Totdat the following person on a table that is known to us. We have a large bottle of San Pellegrino with only two feet and a heel and other water. The first time we served the bottles on the table was "San Pellegrino"! DRAMAAAAA! and lying too. Ordered pizzas at 5pm and they still haven't arrived. We called several times and were first told that there was a traffic jam at the strip, but we are not looking for a traffic jam at all. Then the order supposedly didn't go through properly and they started making it quickly and it would take a maximum of 20 minutes. I'm still sitting here waiting with hungry children. Unbelievable. And now I wake up with this reaction, you guys. You are disgusting for not admitting your mistakes even now!! Would have just been honest by saying that he didn't get through instead of first lying and now lying AGAIN. I WOULD NEVER ORDER HERE!!!! HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.

The Best Food in this Restaurant. It’s all fresh Good quality. Had the minestrone soup home made best quality and a simple pissa cooked to perfection. Dedicated People who can run a restaurant. Hope to go many more times thankyou.

Ordered 2 pizzas from Portofino. Was delivered bizarrely quickly. Within 15 minutes... However, the pizzas were tasteless with very strange, grainy cheese. We wondered if that cheese was any good at all... unfortunately no luck.

Bestellen hier regelmatig pizza, risotto en pasta. Heerlijke en authentieke Italiaanse keuken. Kregen vanavond zomaar een mooie fles wijn, omdat we vaste gasten zijn. Geweldig en erg klantgericht!

Een heerlijke pizza een beetje groot kreeg hem niet op mijn vrienden kregen ze ook niet op dus we een doos mee voor thuis weer optewarmen was echt een heerlijk pizza herinnerde me van Italië een heel gezellige zaak ik wil daar zeker wel weer eens terug komen!

Für Niederländische Verhältnisse sehr preiswert und gut gegessen. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Pizzen waren hauchdünn und der Rand knusprig. Sehr reichlich belegt mit guten Zutaten. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Zitronenlikör aufs Haus.

Gelegen in het historische hart van Hoorn, vlakbij het gezellige bruisende centum met winkelstraatjes, vind je hier echte Italiaanse smaken door een professioneel Italiaans team. Super gastvrije, persoonlijke bediening in wat zeker een van de betere pizza-adressen in Nederland is. Tip: vraag om extra dun en doorbakken - daar weet de chef wel raad mee, heerlijk! Vegetarische opties genoeg en ook de pastas, andere gerechten en de witte en rode huiswijn zijn van de betere kwaliteit. De acoustiek kan wat druk zijn op de weekend-avonden als het vol zit, maar als het droog is, biedt zowel het terras als de deels overdekte en verwarmde patio daar een prima oplossing voor.

We hebben gisteravond weer heerlijk gegeten. Blijft mijn favoriete Italiaanse restaurant. Alles wordt lekker vers gemaakt door een echte Italiaanse chefkok. Vooral de Tiramisu, deze moet je echt geproefd hebben 🥰 Super lekker allemaal 😋 Medewerkers zijn heel vriendelijk. Betere Italiaanse gerechten kan je niet krijgen in Hoorn 😉🌹

Gezellig en schoon restaurant waar je op vele leuke plekjes kan zitten! De bediening is erg betrokken met de gasten en denken goed mee. Als je echt Italiaans wilt eten moet je hier zeker langskomen! Ik wil er bij zeggen dat ik mij in onderstaande ‘nep’ reviews niet kan vinden, ik ben bang dat dit restaurant geteisterd wordt door pestkoppen.

Heerlijk gegeten met ons gezinnetje. Ontzettend lekker eten (trio bolognese, pizza margarita, tiramisu, chocoladetaart) vriendelijke bediening en een prima sfeer!

Was erg druk en dat op een maandag. Nu ik er geweest was snap ik dat helemaal. Carpaccio casalingo was erg goed met een verrassend goede dressing. Lamskoteletjes waren ook lekker maar niet echt met een Italiaanse twitch, waar ik stiekem op had gehoopt. Ik ben op woensdag terug geweest nadat ik ergens anders een vreselijke ervaring had opgedaan en heb ik een heerlijk dessert nog op die mij het voorval meteen deed vergeten. Torta la Limone uit eigen keuken. Happy days✅ sfeer doet een beetje koel aan.
