Very nice place. They have a fixed price for a 3 or 4 course menu. There is plenty of choice and it tasted very good, but not top-notch. Something you can't expect for this price anyway. The price-quality ratio is great in my opinion. Definitely recommended for that price and I will certainly go back. The service is very friendly.

Normally we are never this negative, but this topped everything. The starter on a dirty plate. The fish trio completely dried out. The pork tenderloin may have been well-done (it was actually boiled instead of fried), but the plate was taken away while we were still eating fries. We really don't expect a Michelin-star menu for this price, but this... No more Bregje for us.

Ate at Bregje Oosterhout on 20-08-2026. We dined at Bregje in Oosterhout for the first time with four people. 4 different starters. The quality of these was mediocre. One dish was very good (crispy sushi), the other (trio of fish) was very mediocre. The toast with crab salad was upside down during presentation and the salmon almost flew off the plate, it was such a thin and small piece. Main courses were all mediocre. The Bregje's burger (I assume the signature dish) was very simple, the bun was tasteless soft white bread, the presentation was not inviting, and the rest of the ingredients were carelessly positioned on the burger. The meat platter was really very bad meat. It was so overcooked that it was impossible to chew; the burger served with it was tasteless and absolutely not a burger; the satay (1 stick) was made of very cheap meat, and don't look at the bottom of the satay, because you'll think it came straight out of the plastic, like buying satay for 40 cents for 3 sticks from the freezer of an unnamed cheap supermarket. Then the salmon as the main course: a small, tasteless piece of salmon that seemed boiled, only to be coated with a sauce to conceal its quality. The salmon presumably also came from the same freezer in that same supermarket. Regarding the service and waitstaff, nothing but positivity. You rarely see the enthusiasm of the staff these days. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has ensured that we will not be returning here.

It was really so bad. It started with a dirty plate; we had asked for well-done pork tenderloin, but it was boiled, not fried—truly disgusting. And to make matters worse, our plate was already being taken away while there was still a full bowl of fries. We don't expect a high-end menu for this price, but this. No more Bregje for us.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos this time, but I would definitely recommend the lunch to others. The price-quality ratio here is truly excellent! If I have ever had something tastier, I would say yes, but everything was delicious for a good price. Unfortunately, I don't know about dinner, but because of the lunch, I would like to try it sometime now.

Service could be better, a lot went wrong But the price-quality ratio is okay

The reception was friendly, nothing to complain about. We wanted to sit inside, which wasn't a problem. However, what is a problem is that the tables are very close together. You have absolutely no privacy if the next table is 10 cm away from your own. A major downside. People come and sit next to you and stare at you the whole time when you start talking. Really very uncomfortable, and not pleasant. Then the food: the starter was tasty and nice and hot, but unfortunately the main course wasn't. Lukewarm spareribs, lukewarm fries... it really wasn't food. I mentioned it to the wait staff afterwards (a manager, I think) and they said they would pass it on to the kitchen. Did I pass it on to the wait staff? Well, no, because they didn't come to ask if everything was to our liking. There were also a lot of students there; they don't pass things like that on to the kitchen. All in all, our first experience here and also our last, despite the location being really top-notch.

Even though it was busy, you can still chat at a normal pace. The service is good and the food was delicious. The price-quality ratio was great; I went with Social Deal this time, but a regular menu is also very affordable.

Upon arrival, we were immediately directed to another table because it was apparently needed for other guests in a few minutes; that’s fine, but after an hour the table was still unoccupied. The pork tenderloin rolled in bacon was decent, but there was hardly any bacon to be found, and the garnish looked like it had been dumped on with a soup spoon; the rims of the plates were dirty and covered in sauce. The wait staff consisted of a bunch of teenagers who seemed more interested in each other than paying attention to the guests. For instance, a disabled lady was standing outside in a wheelchair waiting to pay because the door with a wheelchair ramp was not open. It is a shame that, as a guest, you have to point this out to the wait staff. A disappointing experience for a restaurant in a beautiful location.

Delicious food, good service, and friendly staff. There is plenty of parking available. I visited unexpectedly again yesterday, and it is once again a fantastic location where you can enjoy being pleasantly surprised.

We eat there regularly. It is a cozy place with a lovely outdoor terrace under the trees. The food is good, certainly for the price. We have noticed that portions on the more expensive days are often slightly smaller than on other days. But always more than enough. Service is often on the slow side and not attentive to the tables. For example, we often have to ask for another drink after the main course is almost finished. Today was a particular low point. A quiet day on the terrace. We took a seat and returned home after 45 minutes without getting anything done. We wanted a bite to eat, but couldn't even get a drink. Although we could have complained about it, we were simply fed up. Hopefully, this is the first and last time this happens, but the staff could possibly use some hospitality training.

Upon entering, an employee was sitting at the bar with a laptop. She barely turned her head to the right to ask: "Have you made a reservation?" "Yes, certainly, for 2 people." She turned her head back to the laptop, then waved her left arm towards the restaurant area while saying that we could pick out a table there. It was a quiet time. Lunch (satay): 2 skewers of flattened satay with a tiny bit of satay sauce that we almost had to search for. 2 small pieces of prawn crackers, some atjam, and a small ball of salad smaller than a golf ball. The fries were good. After lunch, we walked back to the bar, where the same employee was still sitting with the laptop open, but now also busy texting on her phone. We were completely ignored. Another colleague eventually asked if we wanted to pay (actually not at that moment) and if we could come over to her. We did immediately tell her what we both thought of the satay dish. No, it is not worth having lunch there again.

I was out with my family this weekend; the food was very bad and very cold. They work very unhygienically. The staff do not take their work seriously. I do not recommend it to anyone looking for a nice dinner with family.

Food is okay. Staff friendly but slow with taking orders. The building is in dire need of maintenance.

Had a delicious meal. Good value for money. And from a new hostess, but she was super attentive and efficient.

Mediocre brasserie. Floor benches and tables were filthy (lots of cigarette butts on the floor, paper scraps, ice cream scoop with a puddle of ice cream around it, food scraps). Banners were covered in stains. The tomato soup was a thick sludge that we couldn't identify. It tasted very salty and like goulash with sour chunks of canned tomato puree mixed in. (Sorry to the cook. But it really wasn't tasty). The food was very mediocre. A dry piece of meat, the fries weren't great, and the salad was wilted and not really a pleasure to look at or eat. With only one small attraction, the playground isn't great for kids, so they got bored quickly. For the same price, you can eat much better at Landal, Teteringen, or Oosterhout.

Good service, food not bad, but they need to stop with those frozen vegetables, so tough, inedible.

We ate there via Social Deal. The food was good, but cold. That was a shame. The service was very friendly and it is a nice location.

The starter was fine. The main course was so small. 3 pieces of pork tenderloin, 2 mushrooms, no sauce to be found, and 1 small tomato with some frozen vegetables. A small bowl of fries to fill up. The dessert had already melted and a Snickers had been thrown onto a plate with sugared peanuts. It was my mother's birthday and we mentioned it beforehand and at the start, but nothing at all. No, never Bregje again for us.

It took an hour for the order to arrive. It was cold and sometimes still frozen. They had forgotten 1 satay dish.

We wanted to have lunch on the terrace this afternoon and ordered the six-in-mix, but after waiting 55 minutes and being promised three times that it would take another 5 minutes, while other people sitting behind us had long since finished their lunch, I declined. After paying for the drinks, we left disappointed. Unfortunately, it was a real downer on our wedding anniversary. We won't be coming back.

Reserved for 7 o'clock but received dessert at 9:20 PM and by then the ice cream was melted. Very disappointing, but the staff did compensate a little.

We dined at Bregje's for the first time today. Our waitress was alert and efficient, a real asset to the business. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Disappointed with the lunch; the quality of the food was mediocre, and the service even worse. No cutlery or napkins; everyone at the table had to walk inside themselves. When we asked for napkins, we were given 3 even though there were 5 of us. We also ordered 1 or 2 small plain rolls for our toddler, but received 3 that were charged at €1 each on the bill. It costs little, but even this wasn't worth it; first and last time.

Unfortunately, not such a positive experience. The food was tasty but served with too little attention. Stains on the plate, dried-out sauce with the meat, half-melted ice cream for dessert... no Bregje, you can do much better. And yes, it was busy, but that shouldn't really be an excuse. The wait staff didn't seem to be able to keep up; several staff members often walked to the wrong table with an order or were looking for the right table. The lady standing behind the bar setting out all the drinks: you worked so hard, it's a shame you didn't get help sooner when the wait for drinks was already 20 minutes. The lady (manager?) was actually standing in the doorway blocking everyone who wanted to pass by to serve. If you see things aren't running smoothly, put your phone away and actively help out until the rush is over. And the gum-chewing young man serving dishes... that is really unacceptable. What a shame.

Unfortunately we might have caught them on an midweek with less staff but the service was below par. We were certainly not the only ones with issues that evening. Main meal came after a very long wait and the desserts arrive a minute after the mains were served.... Needless to say this were send back. Then when it was time for desserts it took another 20 mins for that to arrive. Onky saving grace was that the food was good. The atmosphere was good too (helped with wonderful weather).

The food tasted good and is reasonably priced. The service leaves something to be desired; too few requests are made at the table, causing them to miss out on a lot of drink revenue. Also, the air conditioning is either not working or is not turned on.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at Bregje this afternoon. After a warm morning, we made a stop. In the spacious parking lot, we were quietly passing a soft plunge ball. At one point, the ball rolled under a parked car. Two employees approached us. One of them asked in a normal manner what we were doing near her car. The other immediately went on the offensive and stated that the ball *must* have hit the car to roll underneath it. An argument ensued, during which we pointed out that she shouldn't exaggerate and didn't need to react so sourly. In hindsight, we could have phrased that differently. However, the atmosphere then completely changed. The employee started swearing and even used the word ‘cancer’. As far as we are concerned, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially coming from someone working in the hospitality industry. Next time we come by again, we would know what to do. Definitely drive on! As far as we are concerned, this has nothing to do with hospitality or professionalism. We have rarely experienced such unfriendly treatment by staff. Very disappointing.

Just got back from a spontaneous dinner out for Father's Day. But I won't be eating dinner here again anytime soon. Because it was Father's Day, there was a free amuse-bouche. A really nice idea! We each got a chicken spring roll. However, the presentation left something to be desired. Sauce was draped over it in a not-so-appetizing way. The sauce was tasty, but due to the way it was served, it took a bit of figuring out how to eat the spring roll because you couldn't really hold it properly because of the sauce. We managed it in the end! Hooray! Unfortunately, it was a bit chewy... otherwise, the taste was fine! I didn't know beforehand that we were necessarily stuck with a 3-course dinner. I usually just choose a main course with either a dessert or a starter. When they came to take our order, I gave them my starter and main course. But they wanted to know the dessert right away. I asked if I could provide that later, but they said it would be too difficult for the kitchen because they wouldn't have enough time... A crazy excuse, but oh well. Starter, gyoza, was okay, although the gyoza batter didn't seem evenly cooked everywhere. Otherwise, the taste was fine! Main course, hamburger. I would never order that again. The burger was tough, the meat was hard, and the ratio of bread to burger didn't match. Not very special, but otherwise okayish. For dessert, we both had something with ice cream; when it was served, the ice cream had already melted. When I pointed this out, a new one was brought incredibly quickly that hadn't melted. I had a mocktail beforehand, but it tasted like pure lemonade, so I just stirred it around; fortunately, it wasn't as intense, but now it tasted like regular soda. It felt like rather poor quality for a drink costing 4.50... Then, when we received the soda, the glasses turned out to still be dirty. Here too, when we pointed it out, it was resolved immediately. Although I don't know if they poured my drink into a clean glass, polished the glass while my drink was still in it, or if they grabbed a clean glass and put part of a new bottle of soda in it.... All in all, I won't be coming back for dinner anytime soon. The location, on the other hand, is really incredibly nice and beautiful! It's a shame that the food and drinks are so disappointing.

There are restaurants where the average age of the staff is so low that you wonder if the truancy officer isn't just eating at a table nearby. Bregje in Oosterhout is one such place. There were so many young women and guests walking around that I couldn't help but think: you really should have to show your Certificate of Conduct here at the entrance before you're allowed inside. It was a sultry evening in June. One of those evenings when the whole of the Netherlands decides it's time to head out onto the terrace. Bregje's terrace isn't just any terrace; it's a small village. By the time the sun went down, it was packed. Our reservation was properly noted. That wasn't the problem. The problem started when we, a group of six, asked where we could sit. The first waitress looked troubled, called a second, who called a third, after which a circle of conversation ensued in which communication took place exclusively in code. "Maybe row two?" I heard someone whisper. "No, let's consult first." In the end, seven staff members were involved in our seating arrangement. It was as if a plane with hydraulic problems had to land. Then came the redeeming news: we were allowed to go to section two. I looked at the head waitress. “Section two?” That turned out to be the code name for the first table on the terrace. We ordered a three-course menu for €19.95. The children got their own menu for ten euros. For that amount, you would normally expect a soggy schnitzel, service that asks every three minutes if you want another drink, and a glass of cola with three more ice cubes than cola. But none of that. I ate crispy sushi, a vegetarian burger, and a dame blanche. Not earth-shattering, but just good. On top of that, we got so many fries that the average snack bar could have been kept for a weekend. The children chose pasta with meatballs. The meatballs were treated as if they were little tax inspectors: carefully cleared out of the way. The rest disappeared down without a hitch. Afterwards, they had a wonderful time in the little playground in front of the terrace. If I have to mention a downside, it was that the ice cream on the Dame Blanche melted rather quickly. But oh well. It was a sultry evening in June. In short: we ate well, the service was friendly and, despite her average age, proved surprisingly professional, and there was actually very little to criticize. That is a shame for someone who loves harsh reviews, but for a restaurant, it is a bigger compliment than you might think.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. It started with the main course, for which the order was not taken correctly. Initially, I received a chicken schnitzel with fries that I had not ordered. The schnitzel was politely taken back, but the fries remained on the table. It was not until fifteen minutes later that my pork tenderloin tips arrived. During the meal, I unfortunately discovered that the meat was still raw/undercooked on the inside. When I pointed this out to the wait staff, I was asked if I wanted 'one new pork tenderloin tip'. A strange solution, because obviously I am not going to wait another fifteen minutes for a single piece of meat while the rest gets cold. To top it all off, I had a severe stomach ache for two days afterwards. This really can and must be done better.

We had a delicious meal. Tasty mocktails; we especially liked the peachy summer tea, and the watermelon sugar was delicious too. Friendly service, though it sometimes took a while before we could order drinks.

We went to Bregje Oosterhout for a three-course dinner with a group of intellectually disabled people. One young waitress was extremely rude; we had already been sitting there for two and a half hours and our clients had to wait 45 minutes for their dessert and really couldn't wait any longer. When we asked how much longer it would take, this waitress rolled her eyes and used a very rude tone. She said she would check, but then didn't come back. Fortunately, another colleague was super friendly and understood the situation, even indicating that it is a known problem. I think it's time for a new job for this lady. Speaking of the food, the chicken satay was as dry as bread, the pasta was undercooked, and the meatballs were quite hard. Unfortunately, the tomato sauce was also tasteless. Upon arriving home, we discovered that we had paid too much for one person. This was resolved very nicely by the person on the phone! We are happy about that, but unfortunately, this is the last time we will visit Bregje Oosterhout with clients.

The food is fine and the value for money is good. Unfortunately, it takes a very long time for the food to be served. We have been twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both times we had to wait more than an hour for our food. Unfortunately, that detracts from the overall experience.

BE CAREFUL WITH ALLERGIES AND INTOLURATIONS!!! I dined here for my birthday. I explicitly stated twice that I have an intolerance to bell peppers and asked if my dishes could be made without them. I received confirmation that this would be taken care of. Then, they politely asked if paprika powder was acceptable. Both the starter and the main course contained bell peppers. When the main course was served, I asked which of the two contained bell peppers. The waiter assured me that neither dish contained bell peppers, but these also contained three different colors of bell peppers.

A bit of a long wait, but in the end everything was delicious, nice service and atmosphere.

Oh man, your wife asks for the menu, and it gets slammed on the table. We order a drink and two appetizers. The waitress then comes to inform us that what we ordered cannot be made. Only bitterballen. For that reason, we want to order something else. My wife is busy with the order when the waitress stops listening and starts talking to another waitress. After we have given up on the order, our first order is served anyway. We ask for the manager, who doesn't show up. So, customer service is substandard.

The food was generally good. However, things often went wrong with the service, like the wrong dish at the wrong table. The main course was lukewarm but tasted good. We enjoyed sitting outside under the trees; it is a beautiful spot.

We had a nice meal, but despite calling ahead, there is no gluten-free dessert on the Mother's Day menu. The first plate we were served was not gluten-free. We received a new plate; the bread roll was fine, but we didn't dare try the croissants, as they seemed to be a standard one. They dropped the apple pie on the table; no replacement was offered even though it lay in pieces all over the table. When we asked, we were given a new one, but it was still frozen. Not very polite.

Downright Terrible! The starter was off-temperature or cold! A chicken schnitzel for the main course! Downright Rancid Tasted like dish soap and wasn't cooked through! The vegetables were terrible, just a tiny spoonful! Even worse, they tasted like dish soap! Downright dangerous to sell this chicken to your customers! I know you don't pay top dollar, but this is downright scandalous! After the cold starter, it was over! The dessert was delicious; you can't really mess that up! It was in pleasant company, that's why we stayed! I used to go there often, but never again! Now I'm getting diarrhea from the chicken!

Excellent and extensive drinks selection. A location where everyone will quickly feel at home. Suitable for all ages. If you are looking for a 3-course dinner at a reasonable price, this is an ideal place. However, if you are looking for high-quality food, this is not the place to be. The concept is very nice and there is plenty of choice. But because the price is so low, you cannot expect the best quality, and you don't get it either. It is all perfectly edible, but that is about all there is to say. The service is also sometimes a bit inexperienced, but that is acceptable and fits the concept. The most important thing is that they are friendly and helpful, which they were.

Bregje in Oosterhout is located next to the Brabants Museum Oud-Oosterhout and is a nice place to combine with a visit to the museum. You can come here for lunch and dinner, with something for everyone. The menu mainly features classic dishes. What stands out is that a real mix of young and old comes here, including families with children. This creates a cozy and convivial atmosphere, although it can sometimes be a bit noisy as a result. Of course, that is a matter of personal taste and depends on what you are looking for in a night out. In terms of price, Bregje is very reasonable: you can enjoy a 3-course menu for €19.95 on weekdays and €22.95 on weekends. Lunch is also affordable and well-prepared. As a result, the price-quality ratio is excellent. In short: a cozy and affordable spot in Oosterhout for those who enjoy an informal atmosphere.

Went out for dinner on the evening of March 28, 2026. The staff didn't seem to be very enthusiastic. Despite that, the food was good. However, the warm apple pie with ice cream turned out to be more like ice cream pie with ice cream.

We went out for dinner with the family at Bregje this evening. Everyone ordered a starter and a main course. The difference between the main courses and the starters was imperceptible. I assume that after eating at a restaurant, you have a slight sense that you have eaten something. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The dishes were tasty, but very small. I might as well have eaten a mint for dinner. The atmosphere and the staff in the restaurant were fine. But I found the food insufficient. During the evening, the staff also asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered this twice, but we never received these drinks. Among the desserts, the warm apple pie was still frozen; this is strange.

On the one hand, it is a mass restaurant, but the food is really good and very affordable. And the logistics are fabulous. It is really a great place to go.

The three of us went for dinner early on a Monday evening. The staff is young but very professional and courteous, hardworking, and very understanding of their guests' needs. The decor is also an improvement compared to years ago. The food is excellent, well-seasoned, simple but satisfying. And the price-quality ratio is excellent. We'd love to come back for dinner with our daughter, who always enjoys it here too.
