Despite the communication difficulties, breakfast for 7 wandering lads with different tastes and choices, BUT all satisfied with the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff. A must-do at any time of day.

The service, you don't have to be in a hurry, we waited 10 minutes and I had to call him to take an order, there were 4 customers in the bar, a well located establishment with a very pretty exterior compared to the interior. Kindness kindness we can forget

It took the waiter 15 min to take our order. The espresso was the worst i ever had. I never had an as bitter espresso as here, ever in my life. And they couldnt split the bill. I'll wouldnt recommend anybody to go to this place ever!!!!!??

It's located at heart of red light district, and they got very lovely and romantic atmosphere even. Good music and drinks with very famous apple pie. You can finish the day here with some warm drinks. Definitely a must-go place if you are close to Dam square.

Fantastic breakfast in the red light district. One of the best of our stay in Amsterdam. The boy owner takes the orders, cooks, arranges everything independently, and expresses tranquility in what he does. Worth a visit and support. Great man!!!

I really enjoyed the time spend in the pub becaouse of the kind and nice staff :) they did everything what they could have done :) and also what makes me impressed that the staff asked us: „Are You okay with the guys?”, because some of them started talking to us so I really appreciate it that kind of help :)

Ok food, great location. A nice place that helped me show off my knowledge of the french language to my friends with it’s name ;) but it’s name and the fact that they sell croissants are the only french things about it.

An amazing cafe in the heart of Amsterdam. The location was perfect. It was just a few steps away from my hotel. It has an amazing view over a nearby church and the canal. The place is small and cozy. The staff were nice and friendly. The service was quick and excellent. The coffee was good and the prices were great.

This is a really great place for a cup of coffee. Located in the middle of the red area. Very nicely decorated, nothing wrong with it at all. Prices good, service good, location good. Ever since the song 'Putain' from 'T.C.Matic' with the inspiring vocals of 'Arno Hintjes', one of my absolute top idols, who, to my great regret, has already passed away, I already had a soft spot for that word, especially when it is spoken with a Marseille accent is pronounced; Pütèng say..! ;) It is not without reason that the song is number 1 in my YouTube 'recap' of 2024. ;)

The first thing I wanted to do when I got to Amsterdam was have a Dutch breakfast and I was not disappointed!!! The ladies who worked there were so sweet and friendly, the price of the food was really reasonable and it tasted amazing!!! I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves a Dutch breakfast and I’ll definitely be coming back when I return to Amsterdam!

We were there to fortify ourselves with a snack and drink after many kilometers of running. Chai Latte, Latte Macchiato and Toast Amsterdam were very good. The service was very friendly and, when asked, gave us a few tips on where to have a good dinner. Thank you.

Sometime we need a little recreational time so my friends and I choose to go to Amsterdam mainly just for the day. The restaurant opens early and that’s ideal for us. For such an early morning flight only 45/50mins to be precise and jump on the train 30mins and there in 9mins walk and Voila were here. Beautiful friendly staff amazing breakfast.

Stopped in for breakfast - oat milk cappuccino was delicious as was the Amsterdam Toast. Would return again!

October 2024 A real nice small and cosy place. They do a nice small breakfast and have small menu what will go over in lunch with the beer and cocktails to go with. You can wait a bit for your coffee when it is busy though. And the espresso is really light roasted, acid taste I don't like. They have an upstairs as well. Like the place.

Right on the edge if the canal, a great spot to people watch. Don't mind the name if you happen to translate it, it's a great little restaurant. The pie is excellent, worth stopping by for that and a beer if you are in the area to walk around. Nice little out of the way spot!

I love quartier putain, the staff is very sweet and attentive! Being Brazilian myself, I got very happy with the Açaí I had there for brunch and later I got myself an Açaí Spritz 💅, never heard of it before but totally love it. There was a guy with a sleepy face working there but he was the sweetest and most professional guy I have ever seen. Hidden Gem of Amsterdam, a must to visit, specially if you are brazilian

A special cafe in a special place. Just next to the red curtains, shall we say.... But what good coffee! It was pointed out to me and it made perfect sense. A delicious citrus flavor and just well brewed and a good bean...... Highly recommended to enjoy a delicious drink here on the terrace in a special environment! By the way, I asked if I could take pictures.....

Went there today for breakfast. Lovely place, well located near a canal so recommend sitting outside. Ordered the QP Breakfast for 12.50, and it was delicious: one croissant, a slice of bread, slice of cheese, butter and jam, a boiled egg, a glass of orange juice and a coffee. Off to a great start of the day!

Very nice service and nice atmosphere inside and clean toilets. The taste of coffee with oat milk is not necessarily recommended. The breakfast was tasty, but kept simple.

Grab a beer and get a table by one of the windows. This place has a cozy homely vibe and is a great place to have conversations and just chill.

The coffee is adorable, well placed, the waitresses are very nice, and what’s more, it was really good! And not too expensive compared to prices found elsewhere in town. Don’t hesitate to take a look around and sit upstairs, where you have a lovely view of the canal!

Nice atmosphere, told us the nachos would take around 10 minutes to melt the cheese in the oven, but the staff forgot our plate for 30 minutes while they were drinking beers and smoking cigarettes in the opposite table. We ended up eating them after we finished our beers... They didn't offer us anything complimentary or a small discount as an apology. Other than that, it was decent 🤷🏻‍♀️

Although there were 3 servers and 1 bartender it took ages to get our order. The order itself was totally wrong as well. The apple pie was great though.

Little break in the sun to have a drink, the terrace is nice, pleasant and quiet place, I recommend!

(I’m a solo, American, male tourist) I walk in and a young, sleepy looking guy greets me. I say “I’ll have apple pie with whipped cream and a cappuccino” he says “okay sit anywhere and i’ll bring it to you” i say “okay, outside?” He says “yes, anywhere.” I sit outside for 10 minutes, then stare at another customer’s drink as she walks outside. She notices (i think she’s a local), and is like “hey what did you order?” I explain, she goes inside to I assume tell the guy behind the counter not to ignore me. Two minutes later a different worker comes out with the pie and graciously says “sorry about that, your cappuccino is on the way.” I get my cappuccino from the same worker and ask what the other guy’s deal is. He says “sorry idk i just got here.” I finish my pie and drink (which were bomb af) and go inside to close out with the sleepy looking guy. I’m like “did i do something wrong?” He’s like “oh yeah the machine broke sorry it was just unfortunate timing” and hand waves at the machine. The other kind worker hears this and says “the coffee is on us” and I close out. Cool place, just unfortunate that one of the workers has prejudice against American tourists.

Have had lunch here a few times on our latest trip to Amsterdam, particularly the ham and cheese toasties. I’d say it’s well worth it for a quick lunch. They have fast and friendly service and the food is very solid. Grab a beer outside if so inclined, you won’t regret it.

Lovely staff, the waiter was like a guard dog watching out for all the customers outside and shooing off suspicious looking people who were loitering or causing a disturbance. Didn't catch his name but the man needs a raise. Really made us feel safe in the middle of the city. Also really enjoyed a variety of drinks here, chai came out really hot and cider was delicious.

Red light district especially at night

On our last day in Amsterdam, there was nothing we needed more than a continental breakfast. And so we stumbled on Quartier Putain. The food was brilliant - especially the cheese. Everything I could want from a breakfast was on my plate, though the menu offerings were scarce other than that. The atmosphere was really nice, but the seats were quite cramped. I’m a relatively tall woman, but in the Netherlands of all places, I didn’t expect my knees to be squashed.

Non ho mai trovato nella mia esperienza di viaggiatore un locale pessimo come questo. Abbiamo chiesto delle cioccolate calde e ho visto che ha preso un preparato da un tetrapak veramente imbevibile. Lasciato tutto lì. Abbiamo preso una fetta di torta di mele stomachevole. Prezzi eccessivi per la qualità (quale qualità???).

Nice place, it is small which is a problem of you are an elephant or an aircraft carrier. The menu was simple but very pleasant, much like a hobbit on his way to Rivendell. If you are some michellen star gatherer then you might want to have a long look in the mirror. Anyway the orange juice was nice and the hot chocolate hit the spot.

They know the difference between a flat white and koffie met melk, great staff! A haven from the madness of the centrum.
