Raadscafé... en diner in Wijk 00 West-Terschelling

Reasonable food. Not bad, but not special either. The atmosphere was mediocre.

Both good and bad: some dishes were cold or lukewarm, the burger was okay. The white wines offered by the glass were rather poor, the service was partly reserved, partly accommodating... we received a discount for complaining. Well, not really recommendable.

Unfriendly, irritated staff, where every question seems one too many. For a table of six people eating and drinking alcohol, a carafe of water is still too much to ask. Food, coffee and wine were mediocre, while you would think that you can do little wrong with a sandwich with croquette. Skip this ✨

"Our chef really knows how to prepare a tuna steak," the arrogant-looking girl who served us said agitatedly when I kindly asked if she wanted to know how well done I wanted the steak. The chef then apparently thought about it for an hour and a half, while the food (mostly hamburgers and fries) was placed at the five tables around us - who arrived much later than us. "You see how busy it is!!" The floor manager in shorts barked at us when I reported that the starter could be cleared away after an hour and that we were ready for the main course. "It's busy and we know what the best order of serving is.". The store was 80% full at that time, which is of course not very busy for Oerol, while even Het Raadscafe could take crowds into account. Fantastic restaurant. Great friendly service and fantastic food, highly recommended. I'll take pictures next time, I didn't think about that right now. Not expensive considering service and quality.

The restaurant looks nice, the staff is great, but my lunch of 19.50 was a mountain of iceberg lettuce with carpaccio draped on top, which could have come straight from a supermarket package, such a shame.

Good ambiance, tasty starters. Risotto was superb. The fish was a bit less, had way too much salt on it. Paella was also less, the variation of fish on it was tasty

The Council House on Terschelling in the Torenstraat is a gem among the Terschelling Horeca. Cooking is done at a high and constant level. The gifted chef and kitchen crew provide exceptionally tasty, attractive and original dishes. No beach food here, but “fine dining” for a very good price/quality ratio. Tukker (the owner) and the waitresses take all the time for you and make you feel at home. We ate here about six times this year and you always go home with a good feeling!

Back on Terschelling and of course back to the council café! This time we had dinner with family, a delicious fresh sea bass, which was caught that afternoon on a bed of crispy green vegetables. The dessert, the peach passion fruit, and the cocktails were also delicious! And had dinner alone one evening, sitting by the fireplace. Tasty tom kha kai soup, and the burrata, delicious! Knowledgeable and friendly staff who know about wine and recommended a delicious wine. Nice atmosphere! Highly recommended if you are on Terschelling!

Delicious food and drinks in West Terschelling! Directly opposite the harbour. We had lunch here. My wife had the Turkish Turkey Kebab and I had the Flatbread Gamba. Let me start with the Flatbread Gamba: delicious! Very original that it contains wakame (seaweed). This together with cucumber, salad, prawns and crab mayonnaise makes it a wonderfully fresh-tasting flatbread. The Turkish turkey kebab was a generous portion, but we really can't complain about that. Especially when it tastes so good. There was a lot of meat in the Turkish bread and a good sriracha sauce. Delicious! We drank a Schoemrakker Brandaan with it. A delicious local blond beer from Terschelling. The service was friendly and the terrace was lovely!

You might not expect too much in such a restaurant aimed at tourists. I ordered a carpaccio meal salad. This one was terribly bad. A head of lettuce, lots of tomatoes and one slice of carpaccio on top. This for the price of € 23.50. Price quality far below par!

It was a little colder today, eating outside was not an option! It was very busy inside, we asked if there was another table, unfortunately... but we were allowed to eat at the bar. Also fine! The food was great! But we were amazed at how busy the staff was, everyone was working hard to serve the customers as best as possible. From the bar you have a different view of the restaurant, we really respect the staff who put in so much effort! Worth an extra compliment.

Good, broad map. Delicious Korean, deep fried blood cabbage. Delicious Balinese chicken satay! During our short stay on Terschelling we ate here several times because it was simply perfect!

I like to eat here! The menu has slightly different dishes than the other restaurants in the area. The tuna steak is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The floor manager Tukker in shorts creates the atmosphere and is a real host😃 Nice place to have a bite to eat before taking the boat to the mainland.

Sandwiches and the beer are fine. The coffee was very bad. I ordered a latte and it was three quarter full of some of the most bitter coffee I’ve had in a long while, the milk was machine foamed rather than hand foamed. The fact that you end up paying 3.50 for a coffee that’s essentially undrinkable (or niet te zuipen, as they say in Dutch) leaves a bad taste to the overal experience at Raadscafe. If you’re going to charge Amsterdam prices, either live up to that or don’t offer lattes on the menu and only deliver a latte mac so we can adjust our expectations accordingly. The bathroom was clean but had some of the weirdest “art” I’ve seen in a while, a semi-dressed guy also on the loo smiling sensually while passing on the loo roll.

Classic example of how good staff can make the evening. We arrive at Pentecost, in the middle of a period in which personnel problems are major. The charming hostess already mentions that there are some delays due to the amount of people at the same time (managing expectations). Drinks and menu are brought and the menu is recorded at a somewhat slow but not annoying pace. We follow the progress at a relaxed pace. Delicious open ravioli with duck rillette (curious who knows what this is) and a delicious duck breast with oriental tones. Other table guests had a carpaccio (wholesale?) and were jealous. Furthermore, with burgers for the children and fish for the parents. Burgers a bit dry (also wholesale?) but fish brilliant. Delicious sea bass with delicious vegetables, including sliced ​​sea lavender with lots of butter, fat and salt, Yum. Fine, if not excellent. Also nice is the toilet with stimulating half-naked models on the wall. It's also funny that there was a discussion about which toilet to use. Let's say, this is how you ensure that gender neutrality is not a problem. Just a tip, the gentlemen (guests) use the toilet with the ladies on the wall. We (family of 6 adults) had such a wonderful meal and meal here! Unexpectedly, because it was very busy everywhere due to the sloop race, we settled here. Really discovered something new. The service is great, the food is great. For each his own. Recommended!

The cafe looks great on the inside, but the dinner really disappointed us. The dishes were really mediocre in quality and the portions were also very small and quite expensive. A few examples: the rice with the satay was tasteless and the chicken in the coq o vin was almost impossible to find. In short, in terms of price and quality, there are certainly better places on the island.

What a fantastic meal we had here! I had not discovered this pearl on Terschelling before, but the dishes tasted surprising and were beautifully prepared. Big compliments to the cook and the host who gave good tips and found our different wishes no problem. Thank you, we will come here more often!

We hebben hier heerlijk gezeten, personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten was interessant, mooi aangeboden, maar niet helemaal naar verwachting. Ik vermoed dat dit aan mijn keuze ligt en niet aan de kwaliteit van de zaak.

Als je opzoek bent naar het lekkerste en beste restaurant van Terschelling is Raadscafe de plek! Goede en altijd vriendelijke service, prijs en kwaliteit verhouding is perfect. Echt een aanrader :)

Mooi restaurant, prachtig ingericht. Gevarieerde kaart met veel vers.

We werden geïnformeerd dat het eten wat langer zou duren, wat natuurlijk een goede heads up is. Een serveerder kwam onze eerste bestelling opnemen zonder een menu kaart te geven, daarna gooide hij non chalant het menu op de tafel Later kwam een serveerster om onze bestelling op te nemen, hier vroegen wij om informatie over de burger(of er ui op zat), deze zat er volgens haar niet op maar die zat er wel op wat erg jammer is want dit wilde we niet. Ten slotte was de burger erg droog en viel erg tegen voor anderhalf uur wachten. De friet en saus was wel erg lekker. Jammer, want de sfeer was wel fijn en het zag er goed uit. Prijs/eten vergelijking viel ook tegen.

Een schitterende gietijzeren wenteltrap in het midden en een mix van oude schilderijtjes, portretten, gouden spiegels en een neon verlichte bar. Ik houd ervan. Verwarring bij de wc als je een deur moet kiezen, heel grappig. De bediening was heel vriendelijk en snel. Het eten zag er mooi uit, de salades lekker. De bouillabaisse was goed gevuld. Saté was een beetje ver doorgebakken.

Super vriendelijk meedenkend op dieetwensen, en gewoon echt lekker eten tegen een zeer vriendelijke prijs. Aanrader!

Prachtig gebouw en prima eten, al was de keuze niet reuze. Het personeel heeft geen oog voor de klant, wel voor bekende. We hebben een half uur gewacht tot we zelf maar besloten te vragen of we iets te eten mochten bestellen en dat met maar 3 andere tafels.

Zoek je een geweldig restaurant op Terschelling? Dan heb je dat nu gevonden. Prachtigmooi gebouw, heel goed toegankelijk en humor bij de toiletten.

Zie bonnetje voor de soep van de dag (bouilabaisse) wordt €21,50 in rekening gebracht. Op de kaart staat de wisselsoep voor €7,50; dat is niet zo netjes.

Mooie ambiance en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Helaas viel het eten echt tegen. De linguine was opgebakken en de ‘Balinese’ kipsate was droog en er was weinig balinees aan. Op de vraag of alles naar wens was dus ook eerlijk antwoord gegeven. Het antwoord werd zeer serieus genomen en excuus gemaakt. Een glas wijn werd van de rekening gehaald dus heel netjes tegemoet gekomen. Voor een drankje echt een toptent. Voor eten zouden wij iets ander kiezen volgende keer.

De kaart is voor elk wat wils. Zowel voor vlees, vis als vegetarische eters. Geen standaard gerechten. Vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel. Weten van aanpakken. Heerlijk gegeten. Alles perfect gebakken! Ook voor even een borrel met wat lekkers is het er goed. Altijd weer een fijne plek om te zijn.

Wanneer we op t eiland zijn is hier lunchen al jaren een vaste prik, altijd lekker en gezellig :) dit jaar zitten we er in de ochtend dagelijks even voor een espresso, lekkerste koffie van het eiland :)

Super gezellig, fijne sfeer en goede bediening! Vooraf Beef Tataki gedeeld, heerlijk! Daarna had ik de bouillabaisse (vol met vis, een echte aanrader. Man had de ribeye, perfect gebakken! Hier gaan we zeker nog eens eten!

Er is toch iets niet goed met deze zaak. Best goed eten, mankeert het niet aan, maar echt zonder enige beleving en ambiance. Die beleving daar gaat het mis. Op een of andere manier heb je dat bij Loods wel, terwijl het toch vergelijkbaar is.

Een bescheiden kaart met weinig keuze. We waren met z'n viertjes. 2 gasten vonden het lekker. 1 had een hamburger die matig was en meer dan 10 minuten later kwam. Mijn ribeye wilde ik graag rare gebakken. De eerste keer kreeg ik hem rauw en koud van binnen. Teruggegeven aan de keuken, werd hetzelfde stuk opgebakken, tot het helemaal well done. Dus weer teruggegeven, daarna weer een rauwe, koud van binnen, dus weer echt rauw........ het lukte ze niet. Ik heb alleen de frietjes gegeten, die waren top net als de eigengemaakte mayonaise.

Prima lunch terwijl we wachtten om in te schepen op de veerboot naar Harlingen. Mooie aankleding van het restaurant, ruim opgezet.

Goed eten en een leuke plek om te zitten. Leuke bediening en de prijzen zijn goed. Beslist een aanrader!

Heerlijk gelunched en geborreld met 2 gezinnen met kinderen in een gezellig restaurant. De kaart heeft erg leuke en lekkere gerechten. Genoten van de kentucky fried colliflowers, pabi bangwang van iberico varken en beef terriyaki tijdens een borrel met lekkere wijnen die ook te koop zijn bij Slijterij Lutine. Vandaag weer gelunched en het broodje kalkoen kebab met tzatziki was heerlijk. Lekker ongedwongen sfeer en fijne bediening. Fijne bijkomstigheid is dat alles heel goed geprijsd is. Zeker een aanrader!

Er was eens een jongen genaamd jord, die al 2 jaar lang elke week naar het Raadscafé ging om tosti's te halen. Hij had veel verschillende tosti's geprobeerd op Terschelling, maar niets vergeleek met de tosti's van het Raadscafé. De kaas was altijd perfect gesmolten en het brood was knapperig en goudbruin. Jord had zelfs een speciale tosti-saus ontdekt die hij alleen in het Raadscafé kon krijgen. Het was een geheime saus die de tosti's nog lekkerder maakte. Hij vertelde al zijn vrienden over de tosti's van het Raadscafé en zei dat ze echt de beste waren die hij ooit had geproefd. Zijn vrienden waren sceptisch, maar toen ze de tosti's zelf probeerden, waren ze het er allemaal over eens dat het de beste tosti's van Terschelling waren. En zo bleef Jord elke week terugkomen naar het Raadscafé voor zijn favoriete tosti's. #kalkoenkaasjalapeneo
